I GOT LUCKY At These GARAGE SALES!

one garage sale one estate saw hopefully a lot of good stuff welcome to paper and moose welcome to the channel if you are new here so glad that you stumbled upon my channel first things first if you could click on that subscribe button that would be so much appreciated and you will always be kept in the know on what is going on here such as my sale going today sale going yard sale going estates all going we are going to some sales hopefully finding what i call vintage goodness to research resell and perhaps keep for myself so join me today let's go digging in attics and basements and see what people have pulled out into the garage for sale [Music] like this oh this one this is all redskins let's see there's some more no reason how much are your um the decals so you missed out on thinking about anything no i was looking at the redskins the whole lot five bucks all righty oh you like that one two dollars all righty and these are if you need me to move i can move these are um the uh high reflective okay so when you take in your way all right sure no it's a whole lot awesome i don't know what i'll use them for but we'll find out no i don't mess around that's the way to do it this flag is awesome that's going to be part of it see what else this guy has some neat things that's too hard to do let me keep looking and see what i'll figure out yeah so i guess all hands on the best is no copyright okay that's that's the guy right here uh out of 75. which way is the basement right here to the right but just be very careful on this here okay i was never allowed in the basement i could only stay up where the piano was nice i got a oh door gosh how was i not allowed to see all these things down here look at that little antique radio faces one dollar each ten dollars each no way it's hard to get rich in a small task everyone's watching and caps clips [Music] nicole let's look at these drawers [Music] maybe i'll get a better price sandpaper what's this thermometer rochester new york i'll put that in my bag rancho santa fe are there any local ones here here's the piano this is what i remember we were never allowed to touch it but i think it was in the other room that's so funny it's so weird to come back after all this time those are nice they're pretty cool oh how cute those are other magnets i guess i like seahorses oh [Music] um so i just realized the whole time i was on time lapse anyway i found some folks burke stuff including a vintage phs twirler shirt and uniform so i have this corner to myself fortunately so other people can't come in here there's the top to that we're gonna get this fish too that's cute i already saw these i don't know what she's gonna want for those i'll put those there [Music] that was a most successful day that garage sale was really unexpected it wasn't advertised on craigslist or on yard sale finder it was just a sign on a road that i went to and it was great the man was moving out west to montana lucky him so he was trying to get rid of a lot of the stuff in his garage what was funny is some of the items that you thought would have been more money he was really cheap on and the items that should have been cheap were more expensive but anyway found some really great things from him let's start off with my pile of i'll call it ephemera it is paper this is a pile of vintage um decals and signage what i noticed immediately was mr reddy watt he was for pp l he was used in a lot of electrical advertising and he's great and he has he has a good following people still recognize them they still remember him from their childhood so these are decals from the rydler decal corporation we have mr ready watt and we have just a whole bunch of these different ones call us for full house power another even bigger ready watt decal i have a few of those then a whole bunch of different word decals so this is flameless i believe these are high reflective these are reflective sheeting from scotchlite there's another one another flameless electric heat this stuff is electric like the song boogie woogie switch to um that might be it then there was just some other little ones we have live better electrically this is so cool looking this would be good on the shirt as i like to say and then that might be it there's another ready bot so this whole pile was five dollars which i thought was a really great deal because if anything if these are busts online and they're not worth you know a lot i can easily put these out at the flea market and charge a dollar a piece even three for a dollar and i'm going to make my money back but i recognized mr ready bot so figured why not then he had some other really great things oh i hope i have it in here yes my favorite might be this max headroom t-shirt this is single stitch the infamous single stitch because it's stitched singly and again coca-cola if you're not familiar with mac's headroom he was one of the mascots i guess you will for coca-cola for a time and he was um pixelated a pixelated head and he would kind of stutter so that's where you get catch the wave really neat i can fit this shirt it cost me a dollar i will be keeping it i also bought another coca-cola shirt he had a plethora of coca-cola items and i did not have my cell phone with me so i could not look things up if i was able to i probably would have purchased some people collect coca-cola they love the coca-cola bears and there were a few coca-cola items there was a flying monster um so i maybe could have done well but anyway we got this t-shirt which still has the original tag it's another coke shirt it is single stitch again this says one size fits all it might be a little bit too big for me so i'll have to see if i want to keep it or if i want to sell it again one dollar going with the coca-cola theme i got this nice bag for a dollar great color still in great shape perfect for the flea market we'll get this guy out of the way this was actually the man's it was his kite i loved the graphic on it the flying monster it is a top elite flag from st louis missouri you know flags this was paper and not plastic it could be worth some money but i really just enjoyed the image so i did a quick search if i wanted to sell this on ebay and i couldn't find one like this but i think with the graphic on it if i were to put it up it would be an easy sell now for shipping all i would do is i'm not going to ship it like this i would actually i think i could cut because it looks like he has it strung i wouldn't have to cut this original string i would just cut this string if i were to we shall see i think this would be cool for halloween that was i think two dollars he charged me then what else last but not least i bought this so this is an elk it is not a moose reindeer elk animal of the woods but what i liked about it is it isn't german on the back so it was kind of like a not paint by number stitch by number because here that has the numbers and the corresponding colors that you would use and then it has column column c-l-u-m-b in the last letters off number 6-12 50 of 75. just really really neat looking so i got that from him and that was it it was a good sale prices were right you know i was i was very pleased with having traveled to a sale that just had a single sign out maybe i should do that more often instead of following the craigslist sales the last sale i went to was an estate sale and this sale was fun for me because i actually used to go to the house when i was little i had a relative that cleaned the house for this family so i vividly remembered that piano that was pretty much the only thing i remembered besides the black and white check floors the kitchen had been redone so it was not what i remembered but again that piano was the only thing that stuck out in my mind because we were never allowed to touch it and it seemed a lot smaller and now looking back versus when i was you know six years old so got some things from them prices were they weren't bad you know that is a more higher end house so you're going to have more higher end items so when that happens i kind of go for the stuff that has no prices on and that have been tucked into drawers basements and attics classic chock-full of nuts can love the colors on it i'm going to think of a project for this we have a little i'm going to call it a ruler which it is this one's really cute because it's small that i thought this sign was funny it's hard to get rich in a small town everybody's watching the family that lived in this home they were rich there's no denying that and so this fond memories i bought these i don't know why i felt bad for them they were kind of interesting this poor guy's lost his shoulders so they're just like a heavy cardboard couple we have him we have her and me in between they're just me poor lady she had pencil mustache drawn on her no idea sometimes those are the best things to buy now up in the attic or the play area upstairs i had seen a woman going through some vintage clothing and i thought i missed it because it was in front of like a little window nook with luggage she left so i immediately went over and boy oh boy there were three boxes of vintage clothing but they were all younger girls teenage teenage girl clothing except for a few pieces which i'm so thrilled that i found so we're gonna go over those first if you are new to the channel i'm from phillipsburg new jersey so i collect phillipsburg things and i i really enjoy the phillipsburg high school traditions because i was a part of them so whenever i find vintage peaborg i always purchase it so in the box of clothing which i realized i had on time lapse after i recorded myself i did find some vintage p burger things including oh that's not one of them we'll start with this first this is a phillipsburg high school majorettes shirt three-quarter sleeve i will be able to fit it even if i couldn't fit it i would buy it because phillipsburg items are very hard to come by for whatever reason it seems that pieberg people hoard their vintage shirts and peaborg items which i guess i do too so we have this great shirt we have this shirt which i do love it has the girl's name on the back but that's all right so we have a phs twirler shirt and to go with that we have the twirler one piece which i will keep in my collection i can hang this up you know during our big football rivalry thanksgiving football rivalry game this will go great with my salzburg jersey loved finding this then i found some other interesting clothes pieces of clothing so this is a fraternity sorority sorority shirt again it has a girl's name on the back but i will still wear it there was another one there was this piece this is sportswear a little short one i got this cute smiley face purse which i thought was adorable even has the little wallet in there but really cute retro iconic smiley face this shirt which i should be able to fit it's a vintage cheerleader shirt national cheerleader association so like that uh oh her um tally sheet for hermione was in here oh should i need it um some other veggie pieces i purchased this vintage bathing suit it is a little girl's but i thought it was adorable you have a little butterfly on there this top which i'm going to wear because i love it is cats it is little topsies really cute so retro love it these which i thought were neat a lot of the clothes were high-end so i had no idea if she was going to look at the tags what she did is she looked at all my stuff she looked at the clothes piece by piece i was charged thirty dollars for everything oh and i got two of the um yardsticks too and for me that's not a bad price considering the vintage pieberg because you know if i would have been if those shirts would have been at an auction people probably would have bid just that alone on a shirt crazy as it may seem so this is a saks fifth avenue juniorette shop we have everyone loves a clown of course we have this long sleeve shirt and then even came with shorts oh we have another i don't know this one i didn't even know why this was a this one was in there this is the person's initials i'd be able to wear it this cute top which i wish i could fit because look at that i mean this was a dress actually but that is adorable this guy this name seems to do well it's bill atkinson glenn of michigan i have no idea very kind of funky design i mean this guy's like a plastic head oh is he supposed to be a soldier like a toy soldier and i just realized interestingly enough this pattern here matches this which i picked up so maybe this goes over it i thought this was so cute again it's that bill atkinson i think i picked up all the pieces that were from him in there but i just love the print very nice so great day for me between the garage sale and then the estate sale where i purchased of course my favorite the phillipsburg items it's really great when you can go to a local sale and kind of and be able to buy something local to your town because it's usually going to be cheaper than if there was an auction and have those items because then you have everyone in the town seeing it you know this stuff was in a box shoved behind luggage and a little nook in the attic so not everyone is going to go up there and search so if you are interested in your local history local t-shirts and definitely check out your local estate sales and see what you can find and you know dig i found those yardsticks hidden behind a door in the frame no one else was looking there you know look above look below look behind things open up drawers my favorite thing to do out of state sales i hope you enjoyed this i did it was really fun hopefully there there will be more sales like that to come this estate sale season which is not over yet well state sales season really doesn't end except when that pesky virus comes around anyway if you like
