I Built a Public Transport System out of Sewage in Cities Skylines

hello everyone i'm kibbitz and welcome back to city skylines where we're underfunding education and forcing people to work in the mines so that we can build the most profit driven and exploited of city ever created and so far so good but we still have tons to do we have to expand into farming build some proper highway infrastructure start utilizing our most precious resource sewage because right now we're just letting the waste go to waste and if you're excited for things remember to leave a like but let's get started here where are we at with the mind pit well we're at level four we're almost at level five but we probably won't mess with the mining a lot today like i said i want to do a lot of farming we need all the industries online to level them up and to get more money so we're going to expand off in this direction and get that stuff moving and since we have a decent chunk of change we can start with our highway network first this highway network right now is just to kind of get us by but it was never meant to last forever now for our proper highway we're gonna be doing something very different we're gonna have a lot of very small highways going all over the place and then one super highway that leads out of the city and also just a forewarning but i destroy like pretty much everything in the name of progress so if you like some designs from earlier again i could probably go wait and speaking of things that need to go the name the name of our city westfield no i asked you guys in the comments for a name suggestion and you guys had some good ones and we are going to go with new venturium cause like we're going on a business venture anyway now we have our precious little highway in our precious little bridges and you might be thinking gibbs this is way too excessive why do you need three highways why not just one big one well you might notice this in this play through but we're gonna get a little excessive with everything so we're gonna need these highways trust me we'll probably have the first one on the left just for mining and we'll have mining later down here too the second one will likely be for i know farming and then the one on the right will be for pedestrian areas way down over here at the coast so we're gonna need a lot of lanes and it's going to cause a lot of traffic all of which traffic will then go to one supa exit going down this way right to the highway it's a pretty crazy highway so it should work into the future so now in the present we can focus on the super important waste and why is it so important because we can use it as our main form of transportation in the world so what we're gonna do i know just stick with me here stick with me we're gonna use the waste water to make a river of poop gibbs you've absolutely lost your marbles why in space time continuum would you make a river of poop how can that even be our main form of transit well with fairies you see if we add in fairies on the poop river then all of our public transport is off the roads for the most part anyway and this means the roads can be used by the more important stuff like our industrial vehicles how does the poop help with all this well usually like how i have things here this water will go down this giant canal however it won't really fill it up all the way so if you have waste water going into the canal as well then it tops it up and everyone's very happy happy are we gonna cause major flooding here nah it's gonna be fine so waste water inbound and now we're ready to go also this future proofs ourselves because now we have a place to put all of our waste water plants for like the rest of the game oh oh my gosh i didn't even consider this we're gonna be building farming in here and we have poopy water right next door it's like fertilizer we're gonna have a super farm oh my gosh i'm a genius oh and satisfying moment of the water coming together and flooding everything causing disaster well actually no this is the fertilizer spreading aha exactly part of the plan we're gonna have the best crops ever now oh my gosh and this wasn't even part of the plan but the entire river is becoming just waste because we have the pumps here it's blocking off all the fresh water and this is all just poop the whole way down imagine going to work across the poop river it's like we're living in london and london's a great city right that means this is a great city but now it do be farming time all the yellow on the ground that's good farmland oh yeah and i guess we need roads over here too good thing i planned ahead for this i plan to head for everything see this main road now it's going all the way down here it will be perfect oh gosh you guys see it i know you see it no don't look look away ah what is this well i i suppose we could just get rid of the entire neighborhood yes much better and the people-wise we have to kind of have more population so we're going to use this area as like a little village then this area adds like a work zone so we want to get the people out of the way as soon as possible as for the farmers well we have a raised highway going through all the farmland and the reason is so whenever we want to have the highway dip a bit we can just delete part of it have a little dip happen go straight for a second and then all the cars can leave here stop being a noodle stop it good and i suppose we could have another highway entrance this way and it looks really cool but i can see that causing problems in the future leave it for now though now before much else it's time to get farming all right cool green silo animal pasture crop field and fruit field okey dokey same dealio as the ore mining except this time now we make the crops like the fruit in the crops that can become flour or meat and then later on luxury goods but for anything we need levels so we grow the potato so we may harvest the xp and then with our potato we feed the potato to animals of any type we want over here oh wait wait wait wait wait wait my favorite part whenever you make a new industry and you start like farming xp the trucks get absolutely crazy over here oh heck yeah bud there you go our little cutters yeah they got delivered to the silos oh my gosh so that the silos can get full of stuff what is going on we already leveled up that was the fastest level up i've ever seen in my life bakery flower uh workers parents cattle shed and small barn cool cool cool we won't do anything too crazy until we reach level four though oh my gosh oh my gosh [Music] you know how i said there'd be a lot of trucks there's lots of farming to do dude this is why i want a separate highway for everything man like it's gonna be this crazy like all the time but don't worry once we have what we need we'll rework everything and level three lemonade factory medium crop good melting powder all right all right all right and now we're level four so it means it's time to begin so i've prepped the land with permanent road infrastructure like the bridges over here so that when we design this area properly we won't have to redesign it later okay though all this stuff was temporary so it shall go no more potato for now no more anything for now now design wise what we need to do is have stuff go to the crop field number one then into a storage buffer number two then to some kind of secondary processing like i don't know meat kind of like up here where the plants go to the cattle then again we have more storage and then finally later on everything will go to the spicy products okay so number one we gotta get people straight out of dodge since we're gonna have people living over here there's gonna be people coming down this highway there's nothing that we can do to stop them so we'll get them over that way next we need a bunch of trucks going down to their farming areas which will go down this way and then again this way that's pretty much the hard part done now we can just fill stuff in so all to the left here we'll just have farmland and then we'll have all of our farming factories over here unfortunately though our money kind of evaporated so we're gonna have to wait a poop and yeah a small loan of a million dollars will definitely help us out also while i was waiting we got to level five with the farming stuff so now we have everything everything from slaughterhouses giant grain silos bigger fields yes bigger fields but first up the more efficient we are the more money we make so we have to have all the farm goods go into a storage area and then to the factory so we need the storage area first so that means these guys got to get over here i've made a little roundabout should help him out but i got a feeling that's not gonna handle things so what we're going to do is have another bridge going over the highway here and scooting over to the storage area too and if there's a truck in the roundabout that wants to go over here well guess what brother this is where you turn left so now we have all three entrances they come from the highway they go straight to here they want to go from way down here over to here they go through the roundabout up through there and if they're just in this area they go across here and first up there's gonna be a lot of traffic going through here so for sure we're gonna need another bridge hundred percent because the farmers are either gonna go directly to the factory or to store it so half the traffic will go through here half the traffic through there yeah more roads the better because someone might come from the highway then to store stuff they'll store their stuff and then they just want to get back to the highway and leave so we'll build a little extra highway entrance way down here to accommodate the business people i'll cut right across our inbound highway and directly to the outbound highway you know what this highway thing is such a good idea we're going to even have more highway entrances over here too because who knows when the trucks want to get out of dodge we just go on to give them the option the last thing super quick though where you just want to add in all the silos looking good back to our money epicenter though what are we working with so we have a slaughterhouse that's a pretty chunky building there bud we have milking parlors all right a cattle shed okie dokie we got a flower mill here and honestly that's about it any unique factories i think we got one right yeah we have a bakery so that's just all the farming stuff in one building right on then well we're actually super lucky that this building is so big because if we have just a big building ah that fits perfectly in between these two roads here uh not a lot of trucks will have to go to it all the time so it won't cause a huge traffic jam and it fits perfectly this was meant to happen and to be yeah that's that's absolutely great then over here would be nice to have like a road going through here i guess it's a little rough but we'll try it out maybe one going this way yeah then over here i guess we could have more factories here too sure why not maybe and can we fit in something perfect dude oh this is the most satisfying thing in the game when like something just fits into like a little area just absolutely perfectly ah i love it so much it's so good okay and now we kind of have free reign so we'll connect up this road we got our fairies still over here so we can't forget about them also there's all of this space which we can perfectly fit a slaughterhouse awesome dude in the best thing ever the slaughterhouse is right next to the poop river so all the people will come to work pass by a slaughterhouse as they're like gagging on all of the wastewater oh my gosh it's a perfect city back to this side of the big road though we'll try and fit in like as many bread factories as we can i like grouping similar buildings together you know some people they don't vibe with that but i think it looks great and down in this little quadrant you know we just will leave it empty maybe we'll put some office buildings or something down there i don't know like we have our ferry there so we have options and this is a lot of stuff so i think we're also going to not use this space we might use it for something else i don't really know oh and yo why not make our bread factory down here perfect little location right in front of the ferry and now people can go and enjoy some go nuts donuts and without further ado let's let it rip kind of out of money so we'll see how it goes oh hey also no power also no water it's going great how does this all work those trucks are going that way and this stuff this area is going to get absolutely insane because all the trucks want to load up on the crops so we're going to see a huge influx of out-of-town trucks coming in too to fill that as well dang though decent chunk of traffic now we looking over here this is pretty good too yeah that is so much traffic oh my gosh get off the street stop going this direction no stop dude that's not working help [Laughter] oh no no the colorful doom oh and what's up more trucks from out of town please come in room for everybody oh that's why they're all going in like this loop here because the entrance is on this side if we just move this just to there this is gonna work a thousand times better oh my goodness i can't believe i haven't done this yeah this is gonna radically help radically help traffic get 90 times worse okay you know what fine we'll just have less silos oh my gosh but wait we have the best solution ever from nascar and that's to make pit stops oh my gosh actual genius kids then again if i was an actual genius this would never happened in the first place but don't mention that part oh wait wait wait it cleared up did we do it oh yeah these are full now well well did we just make the ultimate farming district the answer is probably maybe big question how much money all of it yeah you know it's a decent chunk look at all those workers too sheesh is there anyone even working in the mines anymore hardly but hey 44k income things are working pretty well i guess then the only real issue is we just need more people and that's like the easiest thing to do ever not only is it easy but it's so fun dude just having like a nice clean slate like this to mess around with oh it's the best all right same deal though as our other little starter area which is doing fine is we just want to have a big main road going through most things and then we need a way for people to get from this town to this town and from here to there oh wait a second is this going to be more difficult than i thought um probably not just a bridge from a to b good and that was actually as easy as i thought because now all the cars can go this way across this bridge over here and across this bridge over there yeah no no that's literally everything i needed to do oh so satisfying and take a guess where our population is going to jump from so 4 400 and then pretty much all of this is housing and we're gonna go to like 20k with that oh my gosh okay but actually we need a couple little stores as well yeah that should be enough grow little city oh hold up we could really use a canal through here yeah then we can have like a fairy loop that just goes around that would be a lot better round two is upon us and the city is looking amazing uh pretty much the same dealio lots of houses a little bit of industry and some shops but now we actually have all the ferry stops so people want to go this way more into the city they can catch one ferry and if they want to go this way over to their jab well they can do that too and road network wise i've tried to make sure we are prepared for when we get high rises once you get high rises traffic gets crazy and you need the big o roads let me tell you for now though does that rip so what's our population at now actually hold up 4 500. nice where will we end up after this oh wait not the poop missed too much poop i forgot all the poop would be flowing in no we don't need any more fertilizer we're fine oh it's too late oh no oh no buildings just don't collapse you green silos i swear are you washing away any trucks though now the water's gone it's just it's just a puddle it's just a puddle yeah everything's fine back to it okay it's been five minutes where are we at literally only a thousand extra population how how that's impossible oh everyone died now things make sense the graveyard's full oh i see oh wait that's that's not a graveyard that's it oh that's a landfill whoops or maybe not whoops anyway no uh yeah we should probably store those bodies somewhere it's probably a good idea the new people can move in and we might also have another problem because we could have a death wave well only way to be to death wave is just to completely demolish the entire building can't be a body if there's no building oh wait no the whole thing just solved itself wow that was quick look at this i don't even have to do anything yo pick him up homie yo that could have been a disaster all right works out what's happening with you guys not what what what not enough workers everyone just died what do you want me to do bring them back to life jeez dude we need to zone more people areas look we don't have a lot of room left honestly i thought we'd be up to like i don't know 6 000 people by the end of this how many do we need to the next uh big town thing 7 500 whatever small annoyance we can have more people across the river that should help out also we could get the fairies going now i suppose eh go little poop fairies into the abyss apparently we need more poop to make this a little bit higher [Laughter] not only is it a poop fairy they're going on rabbits what a way to live oh this makes me unbelievably happy as well all of our little poop pipes are over here and then when the theory comes in it just gets drenched in search oh my gosh even and even on the way out oh the humanity this is the best city ever and now we're a big town as well new tile dubai campus area tax policies harsh prison sentences high density zones blimps oh that's gonna be a ton of fun that'll be for next time though so i hope you guys enjoyed and thank you for
