this video is sponsored by Audible and this video is also going to be really quite silly and it's all your fault you see I can be a little bit Daft you know I can come up with some pretty stupid Redstone ideas I mean I I think that's me getting a root canal over there this is a door that's meant to look like a monster and this is a pimple popping machine which rather concerningly is featured in 100 of my recent Minecraft videos so you can see I'm pretty good at coming up with stupid ideas but you guys are better at coming up with stupid ideas so let's take a look at them try nominal Ray has asked me to make a redstone door where the button only moves one block so in a three by three you'd have to push the button nine times to fully open the door which actually ended up being quite big I mean this is this has ended up being quite a big Redstone Contraption so I have some important business to attend to here quickly I mean who would have thought having to manually do each element of the three by three piston door would end up being so much larger than the entire thing sorting itself out anyway the whole thing works utilizing this button right here so as described every single time I press the button one block gets removed from a three by three piston door which yeah it doesn't it doesn't lead to the fastest opening sequence in the world but you know what it is actually quite satisfying you know we're making our way through final couple of blocks now and that is everything so our three by three piston door is now fully opened up now instead of having to rebuild our three by three piston door one block at a time I thought it'd be much more interesting if it all just close that so when we hit the button again everything goes back into place in a slightly awkward order but we now have ourselves a fully closed pistol door so we can start the entire process all over again Ladle birger has asked me to build a button that powers an indicator to tell you it is a button now originally this seemed like a simple idea you see I was just going to hook up a button to a redstone lamp and call it a day but then I thought to myself what if somebody removed the button and replaced it with a lever then the indicator would be wrong so I've added in some Redstone timing circuits to ensure that the thing that's been placed is in fact a button so if you place in our Stone button right here and give it a press you can see I'll probably a button indicator switches on because this is in fact a button but then of course wooden buttons have a slightly different pulse length so I had to add in a redstone system that checks for that but that all works properly as well and just to make it very clear that I'm not fibbing here we are with the lever if I flick it on our indicator does not switch on now if you were to time a pulse perfectly so as 10 ticks or 15 ticks then maybe this redstone lamp would turn on which is why I can't say with certainty that it is in fact a button but it's probably about an indicator I hope that's good enough for you this is a request that I get almost every single time I do one of these which is essentially some form of useless machine this time coming from it's Pete 3K after going on a bit of an adventure through my Redstone testing world I managed to find this one which I've since spruced up a little bit I'm not such a big fan of the iron block and Sandstone aesthetic anymore but despite its new look it still performs exactly the same thing which is to be useless in the most satisfying way possible I mean these are probably some of my favorite redstone contraptions just because they're just they're just satisfying it's endlessly satisfying I could do this all day which maybe speaks a lot to the sort of person I am this is why I still haven't done my taxes now from a redstone engineering perspective these are actually really fun little Redstone problems to solve and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for an interesting Redstone project to work on Ellie beat maker the alien the myth the legend has asked me to make a contraption that detects and stops by any means necessary anyone who tries to steal your cycling shoes yeah someone stole my very used and very smelly cycling shoes from outside the front of my house I really hope it wasn't an avid fan because that's kind of weird but equally that's kind of the only explanation that makes sense it's mildly horrifying this is the system that I've created now currently I'm able to access this area because one of my cycling shoes I want to be able to put them on there's not much point in me putting my cycling shoes into an impenetrable area if I also can't access them that's like stealing from myself which is triple stupid anyway if I flick this lever right here you can see that the lasers switch over to being red and now if I try to walk inside the things don't exactly go well for me there's a there's a lot of action happening here oh my goodness that is complete chaos and the worst part is it's going to continue every single time I move around now to do this of course I'm making use of skulk sensors that are tuned to listen out for player interactions making use of the Redstone signal strength it's a really fun game mechanic to play around with and there's plenty more fun redstone contraptions on the way but first have you ever pondered on what's listening to audible feels like this is what listening to audible feels like each word softly beating your eardrum as your brain soaks up the literature like a sponge that might just be the weirdest thing I've ever filmed I've been an audible user for years they have thousands of titles that cover all the weird and wonderful genres that I really like to listen to I absolutely love John Ronson and recently I found myself returning to his work so you've been publicly shamed which commentates on what happens to someone after they've essentially been canceled on the internet he's also done an audible original too you see audible isn't just audio books they also host podcasts guided Wellness programs and even theatrical performances my favorite places to listen to audible are when I'm on long bike rides or when I'm taking Kuba out for a walk or even when I'm just doing a long Minecraft mining session and the best thing is if you want to give an audible a go then new members get 30 days free so head over to audible.com forward slash Mumbo or text Mumbo to 500 500 to get on that audible train today I still can't quite believe audible actually approved that anyway radio Marco has asked me to build an unsorting system which I have to say I think I went a little bit over kill on but it is very satisfying to watch now inside each one of these seven chests we have numbered cubes that go from one all the way up to seven as you can see they are all beautifully sorted into the correct chests that is of course until I hit this button right here in which you will see all of the numbers get gradually pulled out of the chests and they get sent up into this water stream right here where they make their way into this water loop eventually being picked up by this Hopper Minecart which will dump them into whatever chest it decides they should go into so we should see that things are looking incredibly incredibly unsorted at this point in time yeah this is chaos this is absolute chaos I mean I'm sure green would feel very happy seeing this but this this does not do it for me any magician has asked in all capitals if I could make a working Ender Dragon apparently this has been their dream since 2016. now obviously this is an incredibly large build that has taken me a very long time so I hope you're prepared because it is majestic I mean look at this thing it's it's definitely something the final boss the final boss of Minecraft recreated using Redstone as daunting and as terrifying as ever oh I'm quaking in my little boots I am mumbo jumbo updates has asked me to make a device that measures how really quite simple something is so I guess first I actually have to build up a redstone Contraption so I guess I I could do something like a t flip-flop there we go I think it's safe to say that this definitely falls into the really quite simple category but let's see how really quite simple it is I mean first obviously it has to be observed so we have the observers on either side and we're gonna get a reading of it's it's it's really quite simple it was moderately really quite simple in in the middle of being really quite simple okay let's try something else let's go with this little old hidden crafting bench design let's see how really quite simple this one is observation is happening and it is it's really really quite simple well this was positively eye-opening I am solemn has asked me to make a water source that's never actually a full water source which might qualify as one of the most oddly frustrating Redstone builds ever I mean not only is it incredibly loud but also I do feel like I should be able to right click this everything in my brain is telling me that I should be able to get water here yes I can't it's like an automatic Dancing Machine as well I'm just gradually shifting back and forth people have often pointed out to me how much I wobble about during conversations in Minecraft well now I have a machine that does it for me Emily has asked me to make a penguin sledding machine now I was really surprised when I saw this tweet because I was flying around my Redstone testing well the other day and I saw this little elevator right here and it reminded me of the penguin sledding toy is it a penguin sledding machine is essentially a children's toy where penguins would gradually go up a little escalator and then slide down back to the bottom before going to the escalator again and just repeating the process forever it's what we as children did before iPads were a thing but I guess the joke's on you guys because now you're watching this video of me creating a penguin selling machine on your iPad so who's the weird one I mean this is incredibly satisfying isn't it you can see why we're addicted to this stuff I mean look how fun this is I could watch that little guy bounce around all day long this is hypnotizing seriously they should have entire channels dedicated to this and finally Patrick Jacobson has asked me to make a face reveal machine so here it is no clue how this is going to work but I I don't know where to look this is I don't like this one bit
