I Bought An ATTIC At The AUCTION! Picking For Treasure

the stamp stock book oh my goodness so i got the one side of the attic the side that i wanted for ten dollars and then i got like another section for a dollar i don't know what's there i don't care i'm so excited so contents of half of the attic plus a room for eleven dollars let's go picking so i bought all this side for ten dollars and the main reason was because what's that of the barrel of the stamp things but then that one box back there is vintage christmas and those boxes were going for like 50 at the auction so i wedged my wedge my bets and those suitcases have a whole bunch of different things in them so i have to look through i think there's some christmas in there of course i forgot my headlamp so we might have to do a reveal later but so i bought this side for ten dollars and then i bought this back here for a dollar which i don't even think there's that much stuff but we can look and see uh this is probably crap you never know though i'll have to take a gander what's in there that might be christmas oh there's a hat oh i like that okay let's go do the the main room first and let me get get sorted so here's some of the vintage christmas we have some nice ornaments older ones hey here's one of those things i found them i bought them at the flea market that one day so that box this box might be it but i make my money back just on the balls so this is at the bottom lincoln purple four cents fractions wright jefferson miscellaneous they labeled these all six different stamps tencent philippines these are all labeled air mail i think for ten dollars pretty well so this box there's a lot of like protractors we'll take those i have a whole bunch that's neat i like that copycat paint box this is all painting stuff blades red devil things there you go maybe there's some oh that's neat um open boxes with there were some points for pens italy that's not expensive french town some local advertising a bunch of neat little things in here i'll take those that's a neat book this pants up western's about hand laced moccasins oh this feels like oh oh hmm those are pretty bad some of these can go for a good amount of money though i think we're gonna take that uh i just don't want to spill on anything darn it oh how to make crepe paper costumes from denison stencils gothic alphabets just blank paper that was fun [Music] well i'm waiting for my food my supper i got thai so waiting for that because i am not cooking tonight when i get home i am wiped out what a fun day and i got contents i got pickers rights to two portions of the attic and actually the the person that bought the other section when they were done i they said that i could go in and take whatever else i wanted so that was really nice and i actually found a few good things including a vintage varsity sweater which is pretty nice it's a very nice blue but got some boxes got all the stamps found i also found some comics some old comics aldor comics in the dollar section of the attic that i bought and some nice fabric too so perhaps i'll take some snapshots and i'll show you those but i am a tired tired girl so looking forward to having my supper and getting into really comfy clothes oh that truck is just doing wheelies in the parking lot huh maybe they're waiting for their food too that was weird anyway sidetrack so a success successful day at the auction as promised i thought i would go over some of these stamps with you all i know nothing about stamps so we will just state that in advance so any help from any of you that are knowledgeable about stamps would be most welcome i wanted to start with my favorite piece from inside the barrel was this binder so inside was marked with the alphabet and each folder looks like it may have held something extra special offer the extraordinary stamps of lundy island net price 50 cents oh oh that's cute now i don't know what this would be worth so i'm going to have to look these items up i know i said i wasn't going to but something like this is fairly easy to do an ebay search on rather than trying to look up an entire book which is much harder so at least with these items i'll be able to look those up that one's empty empty empty empty and then we have a whole bunch in the k k through l section so let's take a look at these columbia duplicates what is nice is that everything that one's empty has been marked for new book denmark so this was probably a serious collector empty i don't want to show you just a bunch of empties austria this one has some canada two cents victoria green victoria purple brown oh yeah they're all in there so these are the queen i have been watching the crown which makes you want to read even more about british royalty czechoslovakia duplicates blocks argentine argentina the philippines cuba canada canada canada out of canada for new book duplicates so yeah they this one has a lot argentina 10. republica argentina so these might even be easy to look up egypt canada so we have this book i know some pages have stuff on it here so we're very adamant about marking things down at least foreign news deutschland we have german oh deutsches reich so we have a 50 and uh or zig and 15 uh which is oh wait i forget uh einstein dry fear of foam sex even och no insane elf wealth threat saying fear sane phil um don't ask me it's late so those are actually in very nice condition don't kill me on my german ooh so these are air mail and then we also have a special delivery and a united states postage with harden harding one and a half cent stamp these have not been posted we have good old washington there are some washington stamps that uh can bring in over two thousand dollars it it just depends on the condition the grade we have a chicago century of progress stamp roosevelt hyde park oh boy oh look at the nurse one eight red cross 1881-1931 like class of the winter games more george we have a general pulaski general von steuben hmm i might be up late tonight nato nra the three cent stamp more liberty stamps wow look how i say the word pretty which probably is not the right word to describe stamps but the colors are still so vivid you have international geophysical year 1957 to 1958 i mean look at the orange on that lewis and clark expedition louisiana purchase look at this one hopefully you can see it the 50th anniversary of the trucking industry i don't think my light is quite right here unfortunately 500th anniversary of the printing of the first book of the bible new hampshire jamaica pakistan wow i i've it's just this was a good learning lesson for me to know what stamps are worth what money even if you just go on ebay and you just take a look at stamps that have sold by you know highest you're going to learn what to look for oh boy not saying you're ever going to run into any of them but just in case you stumble upon a barrel in an attic of albums lincoln again nathaniel hall that's a great looking stamp these have been postmarked mount vernon we have more of the trucking industry gold star mothers that was for the military gadsden purchase man you know just like with postcards people would send postcards back and forth or to each other for the post marks not necessarily for what was on the postcards same with stamps post-its do three cents monticello you have more of the presidents zachary taylor good old teddy roosevelt see not from me gave me and g torn or ng 200 no good so this was an avid collector let me grab one more box or book we'll take a look in the cigars oh boy this is old argentina republic windham ball esquire dear sir i'm in possession of your kind favor of the 18th of september and beg to express many thanks for the stamps see uh they're in um i'm gonna say requited but that's not right um you will receive here with 150 stamps etc which are likely to be around um like to be several that will suit you you would oblige one very much if you could let me um something by next male some novelties of your country or other parts i remain dear sir your obliged servant oh i can't make out that name but wow 1894. pen pals across the globe sending stamps to each other the largest power plant on earth now these were first state issues which are also collected that letter though 1894 amazing cuba i was going to bring all the stamps to the flea market and have this one man that buy stamps look at them but i don't know i said i wasn't going to keep them i was just going to do a quick flip but these have me interested i don't know if i can do that now i mean i spent ten dollars why not just take my time have that lesson and you know as i come across them i might be even able to put some on ebay and see what they go for these are old look at that lincoln one you know sell them as is and just let it ride these are older i really like that lincoln i hope that maura's in there here we have some postcards oh that's nice royal canadian mountain police great color on that if american airlines oh those are fun those are really fun for those that collect airline memorabilia they would be interested in postcards definitely new jersey bell telephone company main street what is that parcel service a half penny oh my this was a collector when you have correspondence from 1894 you know maybe they passed it down to these are um chinese or japanese i'm not sure which but when you have a letter from you know someone that was trading with someone in a totally different part of the world that's a collector the stamp stock book oh my goodness oh boy i don't i don't even know what to say honestly mozambique mccombik i'm gonna say it's mozambique i could be completely wrong us parliament to spain oh my goodness oops sorry the camera's moving these are look at those oh my [Applause] oh let's take a look in here and i think we're going to be done well not this video will be done but my work won't be done so these are more older united states stamps you have the two cent with atoms we have a 10 cent postage due and more george wow so i hope you enjoyed this and again if any of you have any recommendations advice comments or if you know anything about stamps then please leave a comment below and what you think i should do i honestly think i should keep these for now and go through them learn about stamps rather than just sell the whole lot because i have i have a whole box and a half left of books and albums you know rather than just sell them off i think it'd be nice if i could learn and heck maybe even make more money you know more profit but also be able to admire these beautiful stamps the colors the countries the time periods versus just doing a quick flip i think these deserve more than that so yeah i hope you enjoyed this an adventure
