all right everybody we're gonna do some ziplining should be pretty basic stuff so I've got that maple right there hopefully you're just gonna apply it to the chipper right there Scot and a couple guys are gonna go work in that yard they're doing some edge stuff so chippers not like the perfect angle for this but I think it's gonna work pretty well I'll show you how zipline this stuff out and it's just a way of rigging really quickly so hopefully this all turns out there's Brian he's gonna run the winch he's excited so here we go so here are all my straps and I'll take this up with me what I like to do is see I've got this small strap right here you can see that I got the small strip right here that holds all my bigger straps but then I've also got this small shaft right here and hold on boss that what I'll do is I'll keep that bundle up with me and then I'll leave this bundle here with Brian and then as I zip these down he'll just as we go I'll zip one down and he'll you know just clip it to that loop and so eventually as we go I'll have a big bundle that way we don't have like a big pile up the zipline straps at the end and then also it's really important when you're doing stuff like this hold on so try to clip all your carabiners the same way because when you're up there and you're reaching down it gets really confusing if you've got some that are clipped on backwards you'll fumble with this whole bundle all a lot so as you go clip them all the same way but so see what I mean I just have one loop with me one with him once I'm out he'll just tie on the other loop and then I'll be good to go so you can see headed it up you see on the pockets it decay in this thing big leaf maple these trees aren't that strong so too is that's why this one is coming down put it right add one failure right there so we are gonna chop her down all right so the zipline there's really nothing to it I've got a rope here and all you got to do is get the rope higher than whatever you're ziplining and you just throw a strap on whatever and you clip it that I like to clip it so that try to get the rope in that corner finish that up I mean it's way easier way faster than rigging I'm just gonna go down there go ahead and hold that tight guys what's a bit these are too heavy we'll use the winch line but we're gonna try to just do this by hand and I'm gonna tie an again you guys ready they say they're ready a little tangled up [Music] yeah are you guys ready [Music] yeah that so close to the chipper lot faster a game a lot faster than lowering stuff you know you need to have a bit of open clear space to do this but if you can zipline it's always faster than lowering stuff when we get that again grab another strap boy Schuyler they're the thumbs up [Applause] [Music] pretty you saw that you thumbs up [Music] all there is to everybody that see my microphones in there and I'm talking to Brian full-time so I just tell him very nicely otherwise we can give thumbs up and stuff but they can get kind of hard to see especially over really tall trees we we advance one anymore sling around it this will be a little more violent they call this negative rigging if the load is above the rig what I'll do make it just a little safer two straps on of the one in one direction when the say you guys go say if you'll say you ready [Music] [Applause] a day away I did it an odd first the fastest trees going right now I was applying a few chunks big deal or just take my rope but I'll throw it [Music] right you know [Music] yeah I'm gonna throw some here they're not going to be huge [Applause] this one doesn't even need to go to the street they're keeping the wood to get it all the way there they just have to hold it for a second so does [Applause] [Music] thank you they're big guys are actually bigger and stronger than I expected not gonna bite those guys no pass you cook a treat out it's fast everybody again they're actually pulling it I think I can hit me [Music] nice I don't need to tell you guys I'm in you know how slow it is Larry Stanton [Music] and I'm not all right so I love my last strap others I take usually I don't drop it smaller branches take these ready today it's kind of fun [Music] severed [Music] therefore the mythical nice job [Music] you saw Brad you know what I think if I just let it fall I think it'll scratch the roof so I'm Eric [Music] you ready [Music] Oh that's all you gotta do it dropped it and [Music] [Music] [Music] so one thing you have to be really careful about when your zip pointing I worked with this guy this climber cut a stub and as if pointed down to the ground spoon was like getting his footing you know on the ground I looked down for just a second and it came down so fast that it hit his shin and completely broke his shin like in half so small pieces of wood supplying crazy-fast the longer it is if it's bushy if it's a branch they go more slowly so I'm just gonna supply this tiny chunk of firewood look how fast this thing flies PCI what's a check victory that thing will break a leg right now exactly what happened so your zip point keep that in mind a lot of times the longer they are the better because they move more slowly really ought to be careful when you've taken pieces to have like logs would small stuff use that where I'd say the most dangerous the other thing that's dangerous is putting too much pressure on the stem like in the winch or something that can make really watch out but don't zipline your stuff [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I'll brush out [Music] [Applause] [Music] guys by you see all this included bark I did a Humboldt here because I did my if I did my cut and I did a conventional notch I'd be cutting into this but there's a little bit better wood right here so do a Humboldt instead try to look for your better wood you're putting in you're not all right you guys ready to pull this over and stuff tip 2 if you put your wedge just in there a little bit like that if the tree starts to sit back you'll see this wedge start to lift up and if it starts to go the right way it'll just fall out so you kind of an idea where you're at on your stick [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh geez this thing's well it's totally crack I'm gonna tickle this face a little bit hopefully this big one I'll push that one over ding good yeah that works well right on wow that's a nasty tree I know that hit me kind of nervous anyway sits down that's it good job guys yeah ah [Music] [Applause] [Music]
