hi there this is animation fiction perfect and today me learn how to move high ISO noise in Lightroom so yesterday I took my camera set the ISO to the highest number possible on my canon AED at the 16000 and took this picture of the mask that my mom made instantly by the way she is an ardent rafflesia and I did this picture at ISO 16,000 f/8 135th of a second in complete darkness now as in Zee in the picture a lot of the noise color noise especially has already been removed and lightened just that automatically by default let me show that to you if we are in the develop module open up the details panel and if I just turn off the details panel have a look there's more noise to it let me fill it and show that to you have a look at the noise if I just simply turn this on at the default settings it already removes all the color noise so Lightroom does the first step automatically whenever you bring your image into Lightroom alright now let's work on it one by one so all we have to do you have to open the details panel right so this is the details panel inside of the develop module alright don't apply any sharpening as of now hold the alt or option and then increase the luminance that way you just see the noise keep on increasing it and just when you see the noise disappeared stop a good tip here is zoomin 3 is to 1 or 2 is to 1 I would suggest 3 is to 1 it zooms in 300% and then hold the alt or option and keep on increasing it a little bit of noise is okay but this is OK I think 90 to 95 let's dial in 95 that seemed okay to me now let's go 1 is to 1 ok now similarly with the details take it all the way to the left now hold the alt or option and keep on increasing the details just when you see the noise stop see the details coming up which is nice but now I see these blonde shiness noise and stuff let's go back a bit this number is good for it okay let's dial in 72 okay same thing with the contrast hold the alt or option keep on increasing it gradually we see a little bit of texture but not too much a little bit of contrast now we're pretty much good to go because the color was adjusted automatically beforehand because if you turn it off you'll see the color noise as well see okay so you can try to play with it but the default is fine still you can just take it all the way to the right see what it does no I don't like it take it to the left no the default was fine so double click on color it will set it to default what about the details if I take it to the right if I take it to the left no problem no change not much change double click on the details it is fine if you take smoothness to the right the colors become smoother and they tend to leak out a little bit if you take it to the left see what happens we see a lot of color noise so we'll have to find a sweet spot where it looks nice double click on it to set a default and default was fine now let's have a look at the before and after and you'll be blown away so if i zoom out a little bit to fill so this is the after and have a look this is before isn't that so amazing just inside a Lightroom we didn't use any plug-in or anything of that sort just inside of Lightroom that is in itself very amazing so turn it back on awesome now you can try sharpening it up a little bit by increasing the amount okay now radius is the most important thing here hold the alt or option increase the radius just when you see the details popping up stop you take it all the way to the right I think there's too much halo effect that is fine and you can also increase the details by holding the option keep on increasing it just when you see the noise stop so at this point as well trees to one would be a fine zoom number to be selected right so hold the alter option keep on increasing let's decrease it a bit 13 is fine or you can also increase it and then use masking to remove all that so hold the order option increase the masking black other areas which are not sharpened white other areas which are sharpened this is nice you can increase the details if you want to I'll increase it just a bit and now when you zoom out it looks sharp and it looks nice and here we go that's the most you can do now keep in mind this is an extreme example you won't deal with something so extreme this was a very extreme have a look and you won't capture an image with 16000 ISO on a crop sensor camera on my 80 D so have a look before after now if you want to take it a step further not necessary but if you wanted to get a step further and you have time to kill right-click on it and choose edit in Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 now we might want to use some high-pass filters and stuff to it so let's go ahead and open up Photoshop let's see okay so here make a copy of the background layer press ctrl or command J convert that into a smart object go to filter convert for Smart Filters hit OK now all you have to do go to filter other and then high-pass zoom in quite a bit keep on increasing it till you see the edges nicely defined I think seven point eight is a nice number hit OK and change the blend mode to overlay let's select that let's have a look now it's more sharpened so this is the before this is the after now here's what also you can do while this is turned on with overlay real time you can double click on the high pass since this is a smart object you can control it real time see what high values will show you hey this is nice but it's too much let's increase it even more yeah this is nice 16 is good now if you want only certain areas to be sharpened you can do that as well by holding the option click on the mask button to create a negative mask then you can simply take the brush foreground color white and paint on the areas that you want to sharpen again white shows up black hides the concept of masks simply paint on the areas which need sharpening and any you'll be good to go zoom out which is basically sharpen these areas again this is an extremely extreme image okay so here is the final result not totally recovered but hey if you look at the before this is well worth it so here's the before and here it's the after so that's I can very simply reduce noise in Lightroom and if you want to take it a step further open that up in Photoshop and add some sharpening and also if you want to save it simply go to file and then hit save if you open that back up in Lightroom so let's open up Lightroom once it saves if you'll open that back up see this is the TIFF file this is the other one right dot TIFF as you can see here that's the one that we edited in Photoshop so that's pretty much it for this video hope this video helped you in some way or the other and if it did make sure you give us a like and also don't forget to subscribe and not just
