hey guys welcome back so today I have a video for you on over lining your lips I've had a lot of requests on the tips and tricks that I have on how to correctly over line my lips so when I over line my lips I don't drastically do it but I do over line it just a bit to make my lips look lips look a little bit plumper so if you would like to see how to correctly over line your lips then just keep watching alright so the first thing you want to do is find a lip liner that is going to be suitable for your lipstick shade so the two that I have been really really loving is the new Make Up For Ever lip liner in end 21 and I'm going to be pairing it with dose of colors bare with me today so what I like about these two is that they are not the same color they're in the same color family just the lip liner is just a little bit darker and when I am over lighting my lips I like to have my lip liner be just a little bit darker so it kind of shows a shadow around the lips instead of it being the same color and it just kind of looks a little blah so that is my first trick for you is to make sure you have a lip liner just a little bit darker than your lipstick or your liquid lipstick whatever you are pairing with it I just think it ends up turning out a lot better with a lip liner that is just a little bit darker so when I start lining my lips I always make sure that I am starting off by not over lining I always make sure I'm just starting off filling out just the very lip line like the actual line of my lip without doing any overlining so that once everything is like lined and then I can start drawing in my over lining because if you start with your over lining by like actually over lining if you mess up and like you don't know where your lip is it's going to be very hard to fix because now it's on your skin so I think it's a lot easier to actually line all of your lips first with your lip liner by not over lining and just putting it on your actual lip line first and then afterwards you can go in and start doing your little bit of over lining so I'm just going to zoom you in and I am going to show you one how I lined my lips alright so as I said I'm using the Make Up For Ever and 21 lip liner and I'm just going to start with my Cupid's bow because that's where I like to start when I am lining my lips so I'm just going to serve with my Cupid's bow and give it a nice sharp line and you always want to make sure when you're doing your Cupid's go with bow that your lines are going at the same angle because sometimes when I'm doing it I'll like draw this one here and the other one like this and it just looks totally off you want to make sure they're precisely around the same angle each side and then I like to go down my lips and then I'll do the bottom so I personally don't like my Cupid's bow to be it's super super pointy so I'm going to start over lining just barely over the lip the line that we have here so if you start over lining too much your line is going to start going flat into your face and that's what you do not want to have you want to only over line where your lips are still going down because once you hit your face it's kind of hard to explain like you can see here that your line like right here your lips are going out but once you hit the flat part of your skin it just starts to look really over lined so as long as you're staying pretty close you can start over lining around your Cupid's well area just a very very little bit and then my natural lip shape goes down like this I kind of like to extend mine out a little bit so it looks a little more clean I'm instead of going down like that into my lower lip so you can see here that this side already looks a lot more full than this side but it doesn't look overly outlined so you can just add as much as you'd like so sometimes this is enough for meat or sometimes I'll even want to go just a little bit more the key is though you don't want it to look over lined because sometimes I'll go too far and I'll go like out to here which is when it starts to get really flat on the skin and then that's when you can tell that it is over lined and that's what you do not want so now I'm going to go over to the other side and just start very carefully outlining like again and I'm going to try to make it even with the other side and I do like to have my lips normal natural sometimes like this and then I'll also pull it nice and tight so that I can get really close in there the key is symmetry so you want to make sure that the size of your lips are even sometimes I'll draw my lips straight down like this and then the other one will be all like curved and pretty so you need to make sure the two sides of your lips are symmetrical with how they are shaped so right now I feel like they are pretty symmetrical this one might be a little bit more curved than this one so I'm going to go in and try to curve this one and I actually normally don't over line my under lip very much just because it already once you go farther under here your lip under turns anyway so you don't really see it so I just kind of make sure I like to just make sure that my lip is nice and round so once I think I have everything lined I do like to go in and fill it in just because is a lot easier to see if everything is so much charcoal just a very light fill-in it doesn't need to be too intense because we're going to go in with lipstick liquid lipstick anyways so you can see here that I just barely went outside of the lip line and that's why you should always line your natural lips first so that you can work on going out of your natural lip line just a little bit by little bit so I'm just going to go a little more so the main parts that I like to over line are around my Cupid's bow to make it look a little bit more round and then right here because going into here this area of my lips I like to keep pretty natural just because if it's over lined too much out here it just looks really strange so I like to just over line this part right here and then just a little bit out here to make my bottom lip look a little bit more even to the top alright so once you have that done you're pretty much done and you can just add your lip color today I'm going to be using in my dose of colors liquid lipstick than the color bear with me I love this liquid lipstick it is so pretty and I'm just going to add that to my lips so you can see that this liquid lipstick is lighter than the lip shape the lip liner but it's still in the same color family so it works and you don't want to over line with this you only want to put this on top of where you put the lip liner all right and then I like to go back in it with the lipliner and kind of deepen up everywhere that we just put the liquid lipstick that I can see a little bit of over line because I want that to be dark so right at the over line area where your lip ends I like to add the darker just a little bit right where the your actual lip ends just so that you don't have it highlighted or brought forward so you like to just put it a little bit more dark so you can see that you cannot tell that my lips are over lined but they definitely are alright guys so that was my over lining lip tutorial I hope it was helpful for you so in just a quick recap you want to make sure you are using a pencil in the same color family as the one that your lipstick or your liquid lipstick is going to be you just want it to be just a little bit darker with your lip liner you want to make sure you are outlining on your actual lip line before you start doing any overlining so then you can just barely over line where you need to over line if you start out by over lining it gets really hard you have to like try to draw like a perfect lip without having any type of like base or like line there um so you always want to make sure you are lighting your actual lips first and then going in and over lining just a very little bit until you think it's good then you will put your liquid lipstick or lipstick on and then you can go back in and touch up the outline with your little bit of a darker color lip liner personally I do not wear lip gloss if I have over lined lips just because I feel like it accentuates the over line which is why I have my lip liner and I make it just a little bit darker so you can't see because usually once you put like a lipstick on it like highlights the area of your lip line so that's why I like to go in with like a matte like lip liner the one that I use and go over the line so you can't see it so it's not as like shiny and that is like brought forward so I usually stay away from lip glosses I don't think it looks good with overlined lips so thank you so much for watching I love all of you so so much and I will see you my next video bye guys
