How to make digital stickers! 2021 | Easy Procreate tutorial!

[Music] hi guys welcome or welcome back to my channel i'm isa if you don't know i do a lot of tech kind of tech apple products lifestyle videos if you like that content you can go ahead and subscribe down below today's video is going to be a little bit different from my other videos um what we're going to do today is make some stickers on my ipad using procreate so i did a video like this um a couple months ago and a lot of you guys loved it and thought it was very helpful so if you are planning on i don't know making stickers or selling stickers and you don't know where to start i am going to show you today some tips and tricks for you to start making your own stickers using procreate i just want to say um really quick that you do need to pay for procreate it's 9.99 if i remember correctly but it's a one-time payment and i think it's a great purchase let's go on and get straight on to today's video okay guys so here i am in procreate i am going to look for a new canvas i'm going to use the screen size and this is what we're going to use okay so first of all i just want to um kind of give the basics first so i work with layers so if you don't know what layers are you go to this little thing feature right here and it says layers so basically you can add as many layers as you want into a design you can delete them you can move them around and layers are going to be very very important in this process of our stickers okay with that said um the brush that i like using is studio pen that is the brush that i normally use to do everything and yeah those are the basics that i wanted to um say before we start okay so first let's go to our color palette and actually um if you don't know procreate has a feature where you can actually create your own color palette so you can create one from from a photo from a file or just going through here and selecting the colors that you want what i like to do is if i like others that i i have already used i use them but for this video let's um open new from photos so these are the colors that we're gonna use today um so that is going to be my default color palette okay so for the canvas of um the screen i like to go to the actions right here go to canvas and um i like to put the drawing guide because it helps me um kind of separate all these stickers that i'm going to make um so what i like to do is take a black um color and just separate this [Music] okay so it doesn't have to be perfect we are going to um get rid of the lines when we're done but um so the lines the guides and everything is going to be on the first layer so you can actually rename layers so you don't get confused so let's put um lines right here and there you go let's put a second layer and this one is going to be um kind of the start of sticker number one let's go to the first one right here you really need to make sure that you are in the right layer when you want to make anything really so let's start with um a color so actually let's use this one right here i am going to make um very easy stickers um so let's make like a rainbow type of sticker draw the line and press and it will automatically kind of put the shape and you can edit the shape now let's go to layer number three let's put another layer um select another color and this one is going to go above the other one okay so layer number four now and let's go to another color this one [Music] and i like to go to the eraser and sharpen the lines on the bottom you can make as many layers as you want so i'm just going to put the layers right now i'm going to speed up the process [Music] okay guys so let's say i want to finish the rainbow right here but i want to put um like a little cloud underneath the rainbow so what we're gonna do is select another layer and this layer is going to go below every layer because we want the cloud on the back do a normal cloud okay so let's say that you want to move the cloud on the back you just press the little click button right here and you just move it around okay so in the same layer you are going to drag the color and you're just going to fill in the cloud so what we're going to do now put all of these layers into one group so let's go and put that okay so there we go um and we're going to name the first group to sticker number one okay you guys so after we group this um what we're gonna do is we're gonna put another layer on below every layer that we already have first let's deselect these two so we have the um raw like black background and what we're gonna do is on that layer new layer we're gonna go into a white color and what we're gonna do is overline the entire sticker so i'm going to show you how you're going to do it so this way when you want to um print your designs it can be into a printer or a cricut your designs are actually printed the right way [Music] okay so when you finish um just drag into the white so you make sure that everything underneath is with the white underline okay so there you go that is going to be it for the first sticker and the reason that i like to work with a lot of layers is because if you need to erase something that you did when making like for example this first line you can just go to this layer and you can erase only the things that you did on that layer and i like to work with a lot of layers because it's kind of like a simple way that you can make mistakes and fix them okay so with that said i am going to keep um this part of the video that is coming without without audio like without me talking so it's going to be a very chill um part so everything that i explained um right here making this thicker it's the exact same way that i'm going to do the other stickers work with layers create a color palette and underline the design and i just wanted to say i am very inspired to make um like a valentine's um sticker because the day that i'm filming this it's valentine's day so um yeah let's make a valentine's day inspired sticker i have a sticker right here that i found on pinterest is from red bubble by sev rose and i'm going to recreate this into a valentine's kind of sticker so yeah i'm going to put that um besides my design right here and let's get started [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay guys i just want to say that if you want to fill in a layer or a type of shape that you made like it did right here with the pink you need to make sure like you really need to make sure that every single line is touching so it needs to be unclosed whatever you're trying to fill in with the color it needs to be closed [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] okay guys so i'm looking for um this little um things right here that i think are adorable i think they are called mood octopus so i'm going to try to recreate um some of these and make them into a sticker because i think they are so cute so we're gonna make a um sad one like an angry one and then a happy one so i'm going to use um this picture as reference so you just want to add two photos and make sure you are in a new layer let's go to add insert a photo okay so we're gonna do first um the happy one so what i'm going to do is go to a new layer that is above the photo and you are just going to trace the little mood octopus [Music] okay so i'm going to select another layer to make like the details [Music] okay so for the face i am going to go um to another layer [Music] so as you can see um these are the colors that the photo has what we want to do is fill in the colors so if you press onto a color into the canvas you can actually pick up a color so this one right here is going to be for the face and obviously the pink part and then the other color and there you go so um if we want to deselect this and there you go look at that cuteness okay so now let's make the mood octopus but the angry one [Music] okay guys so now that i'm done with the two little octopus which i think they are so cute um what we're gonna do is um the only thing that i need to do so you don't forget is to line them with [Music] white [Music] so [Music] um i'm only going to make these four because it's taking a lot of time and i don't want to bore you guys so basically i did four stickers now the all the layers on these stickers are in groups so group number one through four so now that we are done i am going to clear these lines right here i'm going to go to the canvas going to actions canvas and i'm going to take off the drawing guide so we have this so now i'm going to make these stickers bigger so let's start with these ones right here and there you go so if you actually take off the background there are your stickers so i hope you guys enjoyed um this tutorial and let's go to the outro part so you guys i hope
