How To Make A 3D Object From A 2D Image (Blender) (2021)

hello guys and welcome back to another video and this is episode 2 of the blender series so in this video i'm going to teach you how to turn a 2d image into a 3d object that you can use for different things so firstly what you're going to want to do is leave this cube here that's the first thing do not delete this cube because we're going to use it uh it's very useful uh you can use any object actually so you can delete the cube but i'd recommend keeping the cube here now what you're going to want to do is upload get an image from google any image doesn't it doesn't have to be a specific image and this will be the 2d picture that you're going to use so i've got [Music] a night tick here and you go into file explorer find the image and drag the image into your into your game and it should appear now what you're going to want to do is pre um do alt and g at the same time alt and g at the same time and this will reduce movement do alt and r to make the rotation okay and then press seven on your number pad and this is how it's going to work out now you're going to change it from object mode click on the cube and you're going to change it from object mode to edit mode this will help uh to met to getting the vertices of the uh um of the 3d object that you're trying to make so press a to select everything and then you press alt alt and m don't do alt and m at the same time press alt m and then do it at the center and then go on to and press g which will grab the vertices and then click on this press e and move it along click press e move along so it's like that and just [Applause] and then [Music] and then select so by holding shift select these two and then press j uh not press f to fill and then select all by press holding shift and selecting all of the vertices there we go press f to fill there we are with the uh knight tick press uh press e on it and drag up and there you are the 3d object to change to make it move to make it bigger you just press this next to the cube and move it around and you've got a 3d object created from a an image which you can do this doesn't have to be a night ticket it can be any uh object and yeah so that's how you create a 3d object yeah yeah that's how you create the object from a 2d object and that's how you do it thank you for watching
