How to create a verification system with REACTIONS in Discord | 2021

hello everyone my name is washikrab and today i'll be showing you how to set up reaction roles verification system using xerobot uh for your discord server it's a cool way to filter out unwanted accounts from your server and you know make sure they're not bots uh if you need any help with anything in this video you can join my server washi's wonderful world link will be in the description cool place you can come hang out um anyways let's get into the video uh the first thing i want to do is head over to the link in the description it'll be over at sorry let me grab it okay so you're going to want to invite the spot to your server that you want to use it in give all permissions it wants i'm human i promise you see the bot has joined the server now if you head over to your server settings roles put zero zero above everything else so it can hand out the roles now you're going to want to head over to the uh roles again you're going to want a role that people get on join so when they join the server this is the role that they'll get and this is the role that they will get once they verify so this will be what everyone has no matter what throughout the server uh you want to create for example a rules channel rules go here and now we're going to want to create a verification channel so we'll call it verify this will be a private channel and then we only want to give the unverified role and zera access to it so now you can see we're in here so we'll do by reacting reacting below you agree to the rules in rules this will give you access to the rest of the server okay so this will be what people see when they join um and now you can head over to your user settings go to advanced make sure developer mode is turned on so you can get message ids and then you're going to want to do copy the id message id then we're going to do c slash channel verify z slash message and copy paste the message id now we're going to want to do z slash normal and then we're going to want to put in the emoji that we want the bot to react with so we can do something like just the ballot with check you can also use custom emojis as long as it's from a server that xera is in so you can add it to like a different server put an emoji in there and now it will be able to use it so but for the sake of video we're just gonna do the white check mark one and then we're gonna to mention the role that we want to give so we'll give it the verified so you can see the reaction has been added z-slash then we're going to do remove and then we're going to do the white check mark again and then we're going to do unverified nope my bad sorry unverified so now when so you can see i have the verified role or if i had the unverified role now when i react to that it'll remove the unverified role and give me the verified role and so now you can go ahead and just clean up all these messages if you don't want the bot to send messages in response you can just not give it access to send messages in this channel once you clean it up oops so now people really do this also make sure that the people with the unverified role cannot send messages and everyone cannot see this so just them just that and then basically the default for your other channels would be that everyone can view it but then people with the unverified cannot so now you should have that set up and then i'll show you what it looks like from an alt account if they were to join the server and i'll show you what it looks like for them all right so this is what it looked like for an all account if they join the server you see i have the unverified rule you will have to use a different bot to give them this automatically you can't do that with xera but i have that set up but anyway they see the rules okay okay let's get verified by reacting below you agree the rules and boom you can see i don't it says i still have access to verify but i don't actually you can see over here um but yeah now i have access to general and i can chat away um yeah i hope this helped you if it did make sure to leave a like and subscribe if you need help feel free to join my server link will be in the description again thank you
