How did the Clones Get their ARMOR, WEAPONS and VEHICLES?

my friends welcome back to another episode of generation tech my name is Alan today we continue our preparation for our comprehensive Clone Wars history series we'll be looking at all the events of the Clone Wars and many of the background inside stories as well we decided the way we'll be doing this series is by splitting each of the years of the war into three separate season if everything series last episode we talked about the beginnings of the Clone Trooper special forces including the null and alpha arks along with my personal favorite the Republic commandos today we're gonna be looking at how ego damask and the Kaminoans were able to secretly contract various organizations the supply armor weapons equipment vehicles and starships for the Clone Army wellness episode we talked about how Jango Fett was responsible for structuring the Clone Special Forces training program what we forgot to mention also was that he was highly influential in the design of the Clone Trooper armor which was modeled after his own Mandalorian super commando armor the phase 1 clone trooper armor kept the helmet design with the t-shaped visor also known as a Barbie this was an extremely efficient design offering the wearer maximum visibility along with maximum protection when it comes to the body armor the clones armor was more comprehensive than the Mandalorian armor most Mandalorian armor sets were just plates that covered vital areas with large gaps in between to decrease the weight of the armor and give the wearer more mobility Jango Fett's armor surprisingly wasn't made out of the indestructible Mandalorian iron known as best scar instead it was made from a specialized Durasteel alloy the clone armor which covered the entire body had to be made from a lightweight plastic alloy but still was quite heavy at just under 40 kilos because the godless Kaminoans weren't used to designing armor for the human anatomy the first phase of clone trooper armor was relatively uncomfortable and had severe pressure points in various areas it also greatly limited the wearer's mobility which is why the phase 1 clones have kind of this robotic way of moving around also the white paint really sticks out in a variety of different environments that the clones are fighting apparently the fish-heads could see in the ultraviolet spectrum and painted the armor with a special dolphin paint that only they could see all this armor would be created by the domestic company known as Kaminoan armor Smith limited wits like the rest of the Kamino cloning facilities were greatly expanded during the ten years leading up to the Clone Wars prior to this Kaminoan Armistice Limited was a relatively small-scale operation that handled only small orders but is probably chosen because they wanted to maintain the secrecy of the Clone Army camo and armor Smith limited will go on to create the Qatar armor which was used by the Republic commandos these were by far one of the best armor kits during this period they had built-in shields and could even stop rounds from a high-powered ver pine shadow gun Kaminoan weapon Smiths was a subsidiary of Kaminoan armor Smith limited it mainly was focused on creating small arms and specialized bounty hunter equipment like the Marquand sabre darts that was recovered by obi-wan Kenobi and used to track down the cloners in the first place they weren't all that experienced in mass production so he Oh Thomas also known as Darth Plagueis decided to hire a more traditional manufacturer called blast tech industries blast leg was part of the techno Union which echo Thomas had connections through his intergalactic banking clan contacts well there is the rebel 80 to 80 or the imperial 11 even Han Solo's hand cannon was all made by blast tech companies like blasts tech usually kept out of galactic politics and enjoyed selling weapons through every side of a conflict they were very capable as circumventing trade regulations and embargoes after the end of the Galactic Civil War the Galactic concordance tree was signed companies based in the Republic were blocked from arming the Imperial remnants and later on the first order so blastic ended up creating another subsidiary with the help of Merce on manufacturers called sone blast corporations this allowed blastic to continue selling its classic e11 which it relabeled the F 11 D blaster to the first order stormtroopers the F 11 D did have some improvements but it was basically the same core weapon that they had sold to the empire for many decades as a matter of fact many of the techno Union companies were all secretly manufacturing weapons for both sides whether it was for the CIS droid army or for the Grand Army of the Republic so it's very clear that blastic would have the to stockpile large amounts of weapons and keep it hidden with some creative accounting state contracts also made up the bulk of blast X revenue and the chance to arm the entire Republic would be an opportunity their company couldn't really afford to miss blast leg would be responsible for supplying the clones of the DC 15 along with a dc-15a the main rifle and carbine for the gr infantry they also produced DC 17 which was the standard sidearm while weapons and armor were relatively easy to source and manufacture larger vehicles required a certain amount of industrial capability that couldn't easily be hidden and after the initial order and logistical infrastructure needed to be built in order to provide proper repair and recovery for damaged vehicles the Kaminoans also needed to be able to train clones in the operation of these vehicles and how to maintain them it was already quite risky for the Kaminoans that use blast tech because they were a part of the techno Union and half of the techno Union actually joined the separatist alliance the less contractors the Kaminoans used the easier it would be to keep everything secret therefore the Kaminoans we're looking for a massive company that could be a one-stop solution Quadra Arch was the obvious choice they were famously known for their headquarters located on the world of quats which was surrounded by a massive orbital shipyard ring after a series of cunning and some might say hostile takeovers quite drive yards were able to establish themselves as one of the major manufacturers in the core systems of the galaxy they were one of the few companies that could realistically produce all of the war materials needed by the Republic all by themselves it also had enough output and orders to be able to hide a relatively massive order of new ships and vehicles within its inventory which was crucial for keeping the Clone Army a secret like many other trade oriented worlds and systems quad drive yards had many different subsidiaries spread throughout the galaxy that were able to bypass certain regulations or serve certain needs unlike the Trade Federation or techno Union companies quant drive yards was relatively well established and quite an ancient company it was readily founded by a group of merchants known as the ten these were actually the descendants of the first course on these settlers that landed on quanta of years ago quarry had a strict hierarchy and caste system and strongly believed in order naturally these more stablish company's viewed organizations like the trade federation as competitors if not outright enemies the trade federation and corporate sector companies all found success due to the free trade zone established by the old republic and lack the type of breeding and pedigree that the quality executives would have liked being located in the core of the galaxy the quantity also enjoyed more benefits from the Republic and we're heavily entrenched in different political parties and have a lot of lobbying power these qualities really make Quandt drive yards the perfect ally for the Republic they already naturally hated the separatist and everything they stood for Quadro guards would produce the excellent all-terrain recon transport probably the only Walker in Star Wars that is actually useful the 80 RT was a piece of equipment that was conceived before the war even started and therefore designed to work with in the quiet regards existing vehicle infrastructure and could be carried by many of the other transports in their lineup by the Battle of Felucia quad drive yards had introduced the havw a6 juggernaut otherwise known as the clone turbo tank this is a very dominant vehicle on the battlefield although Quadra arts direct delivery system was flawed and many of these tanks ended up in separatist hands one of the busiest quad sub-series to take on the Clone Trooper contract would be wrath on a heavy engineering and for a good reason you see the planet that wrote on a heavy engineering was based on Ravana was only discovered 800 years before the Battle of Yavin which makes it a relatively young planet and perhaps even more importantly it was located in the region of the galaxy known as wild space which was a sparsely populated region of the galaxy in between the outer rim and the unknown region this area of space was known for its large number of gravity wells and other gravitational anomalies therefore the hyperspace lanes in this area were extremely hard to navigate and required some real insider knowledge the location of the planet was kept a secret just like Camino and few outsiders ever stepped foot on the planet or even knew existed which is why it's not surprising that quite usually used ro thana heavy engineering ford's more secretive contracts Rotana heavy engineering would end up handling the mass production of the ATT ii or the all-terrain tactical enforcer essentially the main battle tank direct fire support and armored transport for the Grand Army of the Republic and since it was a part of quat dr infrastructure the ATT ii was well integrated with the rest of Jr's weapon systems the ATT II could carry a pair of eights URT intha metal and could be carried by the Ruth onna engineering low altitude assault transport selecting quiet drive yards and their subsidiaries for the main production of their vehicles was a very smart choice by the Republic and not only limited the amount of people who knew about the Clone Army it also made all of their war materiel extremely compatible with one another which ultimately cut costs and made the junior a much more efficient fighting machine now quote drive yards was even more famous for its shipyards and had been working alongside the Republic since the ancient Sith Jedi wards now because of the ruse on Reformation warships during this time period worse really restricted in size and armaments quad drive yards was one of the few companies that were still capable of building star dread-nots which were massive ships many kilometres long primarily used for system defense purposes this also meant that quite drived yards was one of the few companies left in the galaxy that was capable of manufacturing large capital ships quad drive yards main competitors like Karelian engineering and senior fleet systems were more focused on star fighters and civilian transports during this time period because the Republic was demilitarized most the man for starships came from local defense forces who really couldn't afford larger battleships the problem was though you couldn't really hide the construction of a fleet on a planet like quats where dozens of different projects are simultaneously being built next to one another on the ring shipyard above the planet so naturally the contract again went to roof on a heavy engineering in the beginning of the war the majority of the jay-ar fleet was actually made up of only to acclimate her class assault ship these were 700 meter long transports that were decently armed to provide defensive and offensive support the design for the acclimate ER had actually been created more than a decade earlier in secret it was one of the earliest pieces of equipment built for the clones as it served as their main way to move from one system to another by the time the valve genesis started the gr already had dozens of these ships ready to go now the confusing thing is the Bennett or class star destroyer was launched soon after that but by quite Drive yards I'm not really sure how quite drive yards was able to hide the construction of such a large ship it is possible that the Venator was designed in modules and built in sections and assembled together at the last now during the initial battle dig' notices the main star fighters being used by the invasion fleet were actually piloted by Jedi who are using pre Clone Wars Delta seven ether sprites also known as the jedi starfighter these were produced by Quadra guards there were also some prototype b19 torn star fighters which performed relatively well during the battle and were produced by the verb pine company known as slain and corporal another common early Clone Wars era fighter for the Gir would be the incomes e95 headhunter this was already quite a popular ship and wasn't specifically designed for the clones the Z 95 would eventually evolve into the ark 170 so there you have it guys by being very selective with the type of corporations they contracted for the Clone Army hiko Damas and the Kaminoans were able to keep the entire clone army a secret from the rest of the galaxy and I think that's really all the information you really need to know if you guys
