i learned much from the jedi skywalker kenobi young ahsoka tano we stood together against everything they threw against us we were heroes what's up meta nerds this video is going to be the complete life story of cc2224 more affectionately known as commander cody this won't be the three-part multi-hour series that rex's complete life was so i thought it would be interesting to weave the canon and legend stories together because as the force would have it none of that information contradicts and there are amazing parts from legends at both the beginning and towards the end of his story so i think you'll agree it makes for a much more complete and interesting life story if canon ever does add something new and we get some crazy ending of his story in the future i'll be sure to make a video on that as well and link it down in the description and so this video will cover each and every event in the life of cody just be sure to look out for that legends logo if you care about that distinction but with that let's head back to 32 years before the battle of yavin darth plagueis had set in motion the revenge of the sith his plan to destroy the jedi in republic after a thousand years of sith plotting from the shadows the first step in his vision was being put into play an army of cloned humans would be spawned on the extra galactic world of kamino plagueis had worked tirelessly to identify the right species find the cloning facilities funnel the credits and even picked out the jedi that would place the order crucial to framing the jedi as the group scheming to overthrow the republic the disillusioned dooku and sifo diaz were groomed for this role but darth sidious would kill his mune master the same night the naboo senator rose to become the supreme chancellor if it was any consolation plagueis plan would continue after sifo diaz placed the order for the clone army dooku made sure that his friend's shuttle was shut down presumed dead in the fiery crash site the kaminoans happily went to work crafting the ultimate soldier sidious would have dooku reach out to the most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy a human named jango fett once the terms were agreed to the cloner set about creating specialized facilities a training regime that would account for every minute of the specimens lives while also bringing in mandalorian trainers along with the hands-on training from jango fett the age acceleration meant that in just 10 years they would be biologically equivalent to 20 year old fighting men all of the clones would stand 1.83 meters or 6 feet and on average weigh 80 kilograms or 176 pounds the kaminoans wanted the raw talent and mindset of django but with some tweaks to make them more docile more able to respect the chain of command and follow orders but still being independent enough to out-think droids the amount of genetic manipulation depended on the role intended for the clone and each clone was raised from embryo to fit a specific role in the grand army of the republic clone troopers would be designated ct while clone commanders would get the name cc cc2224 was 91 genetically identical to jango fett this led to a greater expression of independent thought than most clones which was the intention but for the specimen it meant even more invasion of privacy and even closer monitoring than most but there were always clones that rose above their template as well genetic expression is always messy with organics and as cc2224 spent each and every day in his specialized training regimens he would eventually meet a brother named ct7567 the two quickly built up a friendship which was one of the only friendly relationships these two would have growing up in a sterile factory setting on the dreary rain-covered platforms where the only parents you knew were called cloners in the hardened mando warriors cc2224 would be appointed commander of the 7th sky corps which consisted of 16 regiments totaling 36 864 troops and for most clones all of their training would be put to use in the year 22 bby though unlike his friend ct 7567 he would not be present at the opening of the clone wars at the battle of geonosis but he was well aware of the legendary status of obi-wan kenobi of the jedi order and was honored to hear that he was being promoted to martial commander and assigned to jedi general kenobi in his 212th battalion being second in command right behind the general himself but to his shock he was withheld from jumping into the fight the gar still wanted him to carry out one more training program under alpha 17. alpha was one of the earliest spawned clones and by far one of the most independent and intelligent part of that individualism saw him using nicknames instead of designations though it should be noted that the seed was planted by anakin similar to how he saw skywalker treat rex throughout the war this fostered a sense of identity instead of rex seeing himself as an expendable cog in a war machine alpha felt the same way in just a short time with anakin and initiated the tradition of nicknames throughout the clone army alpha was removed from kenobi's command in order to train arc troopers on kamino of the first 100 recruits there were notable clones that were nicknamed cody neo bakara gree oddball apple bly faye and cody's close friend rex cody and oddball were so exceptional even among these most exceptional 100 clones an even smaller group chosen out of the arcs that would receive the highest level of training as pilots marines scuba divers demolition experts and as snipers this sniper role might be the reason why cody retained his iconic visor but all of these clones would go on to develop some of the most impressive military careers in the gar and each had distinct modifications to their armor utilizing equipment that was only available to the elite arc trooper core cody's armor would add an antenna on his helmet and left shoulder which boosted signal strength and gave added encryption while also having these additional strips of armor on the helmet and a small flood light above the visor as part of the sky core as well he was proficient in and often seen with a small jet pack now quick pause just to point out here that there is debate over whether cody officially should be considered an arc trooper he doesn't have the same look as other arcs and is never called an arc explicitly though he is confirmed in both legends and canon to be in the ark training program and legend goes even further with that squad 7 leadership role simplest is to just say that he was or something like an honorary member having been so integral to the program and trained the clones that we know for sure to be arcs and eddie just chose to wear armor that was more specialized for his role as commander but also i could see how he might not be an arc like if a navy seal also trained with the army rangers even helping to organize some of their training it might still be inaccurate to call them a seal and a ranger but for simplicity i'm going to refer to him as an arc and just know that when i point that out i'm really focusing on the elite arc training that he received and how he and rex became even closer friends while completing this specialized training their shared background in the arc program is what made them so close so after alpha's nickname cc2224 was now cody commander of the seventh sky core second in command of the 212th battalion led by one of the best jedi in the galaxy and a leader of squad seven things were looking good for the clone trooper as he headed to his first major action of the war the details of the battle of tabrin are still shrouded in mystery but it revolves around dooku's takeover of this mid-rim world most of the natives of tabrin felt that they had long been held hostage by their dictator surobrand ii when dooku executed him and promised the people a place in a representative government along with more open trade they greeted him as a liberator behind the scenes however he had placed his dark acolyte sora bulk to act as governor while also hunting down and killing any opposition the republic did not want to simply give up this midram world and need to show dooku that this tactic won't go unopposed but despite sending an enormous amount of forces led by top clones like cody rex and gree the local population was able to hold them off a minority backed the republic but most were violently opposed to clone troopers being on their planet this very first battle was one of the most bloody and brutal of the entire war and though we don't get details from cody's point of view to give an example of how deeply this battle affected those involved the red striped buzz cut on gree was warned to honor his brothers that were savagely killed onto bryn this would be followed by the siege of hysson seeing that it worked so well on to brin dooku was here in an attempt to back the hiss in premiere and kill off the parliament opposition kenobi anakin and plo kun would be sent along with their respective troopers and cody would be the leader over these combined forces that included rex and wolf they were tasked with protecting the hissan population while the jedi went to try and confront dooku and ventress during the battle the generals were able to get the coordinates of the parliament members and plo was able to get that message over to wolfe but the transmission is garbled and cody notes that they cannot know for sure what the orders were if they leave they might be defying the original orders they should not take this mission into their own hands rex says that he can hold down the position with his men alone so cody says that wolf should be the one to decide saying quote your general your call a nice sign of respect between these clone leaders that was deeper than whatever technical rank cody might possess over them after making their way through the thick jungle cody spots the separatists leading members of parliament to what might be their execution wolfe had already seen on a previous mission how cold the separatist leaders could be and knew that the concepts of honor and innocence were inconceivable to a droid he tells cody that they are ready and springs to his feet to lead the wolf pack in these three elite clone leaders would ensure a republic victory this time a win that would be followed by the cis invasion of christophsis the republic strength is in the core while the outer rim was more sympathetic to the confederacy christophsis was one of the few major planets in the outer rim that wished to stay loyal to the republic and it was also located at a junction of major hyperspace routes the jedi order and gar were quick to build up a defense but cis general warm loathsome set up a blockade and was laying siege in the streets of the crystalline cities hordes of droid units and tanks were pushing forward upon arriving cody was happy to see that kenobi was working with skywalker and similar to his own position in the 212th rex was promoted to second in command over the 501st to ambush the clankers these two units would set up in opposing towers that flank the cis advance we're back general good the show is about to begin as they're about to launch their attack somehow kenobi's forces are the ones ambushed droids swarming into the hallways of the building and forcing the 212th to retreat skywalker calls for evac and has to improvise to get to kenobi's tower where these two forces rush to the rooftop blaster fire flying in both directions as the two arc troopers join up behind cover and blast away some clankers one of their brothers would rip off the head of a tactical droid before they make their escape and rex notes that they could use this to find out how the cis knew their plan at the jr's forward base we see cody and rex are the ones tasked with uncovering this mystery but what they get from the droid gives no clues as to how they got this information they had all eye and tell as they wonder how the cis could have cracked their transmissions kenobi suspects that the source is from within their own ranks a spy sir but who would want to betray our troops to the sepi's cody is extremely skeptical he knows just how thorough the kaminoan training was how they were genetically crafted for absolute loyalty and endlessly drilled from birth to fight for the republic as the jedi leave to go behind enemy lines for any clues onto how they got this intel kenobi makes sure that the clones understand how top secret this mission is this mission is extremely confidential the spy could be anyone let no one know of our mission after the general's leave cody notices that one of the comlinks was on someone was listening in on this whole conversation and then rex notices someone fleeing and the troopers race down the halls in pursuit they lose them in the mess hall and have to play it cool as the very idea of a traitorous clone would upset their brothers to the core when they return to the command center we again see how their long friendship was considered more important than whatever higher rank cody had over rex and cody as a great leader is always open to ideas from rex rex says that cody should give an update to the generals and tasks are to d2 with searching through all of the signals sent out from the republic base after some time rex is able to detect a series of signals that were being sent out infrequently from one of the barracks and when he shows it to cody the commander is in disbelief slicks barracks only slick's men would have access to that terminal as they arrive slick says it's impossible but if they really want to question the men he should at least talk to them first but cody simply cuts him off and gets to business let me have a few minutes with them first i don't think that's necessary you men are tough right take a seat gentlemen they grill each of them trying to poke holes in their stories some of them wanting to hide minor infractions of protocol but it seems like their best suspect chopper was just crafting trinkets from droid parts though slick pushes this point saying how could they trust a clone who lied to his commander and did break protocol but in his rant to incriminate his brother cody catches something how did you know the jedi were gone i really wish you hadn't noticed that uh slick's surprise attack confirms their suspicions but buys the traitor a chance to escape they track his signal but when they approach they see that it was a trap thermal detonators erupting along with several other pre-arranged explosives that took out several ships and walkers meanwhile the jedi were engaged with ventress the one who corrupted slick she was able to escape back to lotham's forces and they used their ill-gotten info to prepare for their next attack back on the base cody sees something is out of place that slick is likely hiding in the air vents telling rex to leave him continue the search his old friend is confused at first but quickly picks up what cody is getting at commander makes it seem as if he had carelessly placed his blaster on the hollow terminal drawing the snake out hey there slick and the spy tries to explain why he betrayed the republic but these troopers aren't buying it enraged slick springs on rex and takes his blaster shots go off and cody takes him to the ground we see the elite martial arts training kick in but the pure rage and passion behind his hatred for the republic has slick fighting like a trapped animal he gives both these arc troopers a tough time but cody eventually is able to knock him out with a single strike now in custody he would be transferred over to the jedi generals as slick is hauled off he says that the republic is evil that his brothers are fools for not seeing through it words that would forever trouble rex and cody it's the jedi who keep my brothers enslaved we do your bidding we serve at your whim i just want something more but this self-righteousness was infuriating from someone who was willing to kill his own brothers if you loved your brothers you wouldn't have put them at risk cody gives a report that it seemed like slick's ultimate goal was to take out their arms depot though the weapons that did survive would be crucial to the next offense the following morning loathsome's forces pressed their advantage cody battle positions this is the largest assault so far with multiple octaptara b2 and b1 droids all in file blasting their way through the clones if we look close we can see cody right at kenobi side leading from the front as the blinding flurry of bolts was by his trust in kenobi is unshaken but the reckless general skywalker hasn't worried skywalker should have attacked by now his friend rex was already used to this and calmly he and the 501st come flying down to take out the cis walkers kenobians 212th would push forward and we see what got cody into so many elite programs sprinting into the middle of the droids and then demonstrating amazing hand-to-hand combat skills taking out several of them without firing a shot but what really saved the day were the a7 cannons that blew apart the aats and turned the tide against the droid army the republic would regroup and reinforce their position and even got the surprising delivery of a padawan learner a young tigruta named ahsoka though rex would always speak highly of her godi would not spend as much time under her command and never developed a close relationship with skywalker's padawan later that day lodism would engage in enormous and expanding deflector shield it rendered the cannons useless and allowed the droids to simply march right behind it as they overtook the republic position kenobi was trying to hold them off from getting to the cannons while anakin and ahsoka were able to slip past their forces and destroy the shield generator this would be a major republic victory but they then get a report that jabba the hutt's son had been kidnapped hut space was the largest independent area in the galaxy and if the republic could keep them as an ally no matter how many systems seceded to the cis the gar would always have this enormous staging area to access the outer rim jabba's child was tracked the monastery on death where anakin would lead the invasion force cody in the 212th stayed behind in a venator while general kenobi went to negotiate with jabba the hutt skywalker's team would rescue the huttling but cis forces were now descending on them and framing it as if the republic had kidnapped little rota the droids were led by ventress and were simply too numerous to repel forcing the clones to retreat back into the monastery kenobi's forces scrambled to rescue them swooping in with a squadron of v-19s blasting through the droid fighters as they tried to clear out the landing zone fellow squad 7 leader oddball was nearly shot down but kenobi would be able to keep the skies clear while cody was tasked with coordinating the transports that would provide the evac prepare the gun ships for ground assault yes sir go go go this rescue mission would be successful and luckily the commander was not in the side hangar that was completely destroyed when a vulture purposely crashed into it preventing skywalker from docking with the craft and setting the entire hangar ablaze eventually after some intense combat with dooku and ventress the child would be returned to jabba and the alliance with the republic was secured cody there alongside kenobi and yoda as they came to retrieve skywalker in his padawan after what proved to be a very complex and crucial mission after this both cody and rex would have some time away from the battlefront to carry out inspections of numerous bases near crucial hyperspace junctions how goes the inspections the tracking station in past steel is fully operational captain rex and i are proceeding to the outpost and the rishi system we get a really sincere look at what kenobi thinks of this clone good man that cody grievous had sent out commando droids in a droach class boarding ship using a meteor shower as cover to make their way into the listening post moments later our inspection team would arrive and they are alarmed at how long it takes to get a response from the base though a clone trooper does appear on the com these two have their guards up and cody can already tell this is going to get complicated well good luck i'm putting you in charge of this one there were survivors of the commandos attack and they knew who was coming for the planned inspection you can hear the excitement in the clone's voice as they see that cody this elite commander was coming to the rescue look it's commander cody rex and cody land and walk towards the main entrance but are intercepted by a trooper who assures them that an inspection is unnecessary when those survivors fire a droid attack flare rex puts it all together in an instant blasting through the clone's helmet with a single bolt to the head what the heck are you doing but now the whole base was alerted the commandos come rushing out with the barrage of blaster fire and their explosives forced the ark troopers to repel down the canyon out of the smoke and flames it emerged what looked like three clone troopers but they had already been tricked once by the commando droid's ability to don enemy armor and even adapt their voice blasters raised they give the order to take the helmets off once they saw they were all brothers they made their introductions fives echo and heavy were shinies the skirmish was the very first action they'd seen in the war but cody and rex try to instill some confidence i'm commander cody your new boss they would make their way back to the entrance and with rex's highly creative and convincing acting skills the commandos open the door and the hallway erupts in blue and red bolts the shinies secure their first droid kills and press on to retake the command center but they notice an enormous invasion fleet arriving in orbit that's why they commandeered the outpost they're mounting a full-scale invasion to make it even worse the droids had sabotaged the computers in order to prevent anyone from turning off the all clear signal grievous then sends down a c9979 full of b1s to reinforce the position these two arcs and three shinies are all able to brainstorm away to alert the republic to destroy the station to cut off that all clear signal they raid the armory for some big guns and move gonk power droid generators into place holding them off long enough to rig explosives and draw the droids deeper into the station but heavy notices that the remote detonator isn't working understanding that the fate of kamino and countless of their clone brothers of all ages are on the line he makes the difficult choice i don't like your tone rookie he is able to mow down dozens of v1s with his z6 rotary cannon but eventually is downed by several blaster bolts to the back with his final breath he pushes through and manually detonated the improvised explosive his brother is forced to watch on from the canyon as the entire base is consumed by flames that all clear signal flickers off kenobi is alerted and instantly sends a fleet to their location rivas panics at the site of several venators descending on him and quickly makes the jump through hyperspace once these clones were evact the jedi generals hold a ceremony to honor the bravery of the shinies on behalf of the republic we thank you for your valiant service and we honor your comrade sacrifice and fives and echo would go on to faithfully serve in the 501st under rex from here cody would fight on tatooine and rhodia though the exact details of those missions were still kept confidential within the gar the next time he would see the commander would be during the battle of ryloth and 21 bby ahsoka and anakin's creative plan eliminated the cis blockade in orbit now kenobi in the 212th would lead the invasion though there were reports that the droids were using the native twilight population as living shields and entire villages were being held at droid blaster so kenobi makes sure his troops understand that their attack options are limited that means we'll be taking it back the hard way minimal destruction with blasters and droid poppers only no rockets or detonators check your aim keep an eye out for the locals am i understood mace windu would be leading the trio of acclimators while the skies are filled with an anti-aircraft barrage kenobi's forces in the laats set down behind a ridge and cody leads his men through the rugged ryloth forests the droids were heavily entrenched forcing them to lay down fire while kenobi and a group of soldiers make their way up close once they are able to take the city wall kenobi orders cody to take his best man and search the city for any sign of more twilights but after a while he splits his forces up sending waxer and boyle to go in one direction while he and wooly went in another you two take the south sector be back at command by o620 it wasn't long before cody spotted an armored assault tank and b1s and b2s marching on patrol before seeing what it was that they were defending wait tree lex he gets in touch with his general and mace pulling up a holographic display of the area and developing a strategy to eliminate the anti-aircraft cannons without hurting the prisoners but they responded by a probe droid who relayed this entire conversation to the tactical droid the cis profile told him that kenobi and his commander were known for using creative and deceptive tactics but this clanker was pretty resourceful himself the t-series had taken native gut curse these terrifying carnivorous beasts and starved them in a cage to be released in the event of a response by the meat bag troops cody met back up with his general and the rest of the men and as they made their way through the city they hear an increasing rumbling a stampede of gut curse came barreling down on them and cody shouted to try and shoot him in the eyes but these beasts were too fast they would bash some clones down before ripping them to pieces while the rest of the men were firing on them in a panic hitting nothing but their thick armor-like skin kenobi would have to try and use the force to entrance them leading the creatures down into a cavern one of the troopers thinks that he should fire on them now but luckily cody understands how to let a jedi do their thing no wait kenobi then says to fire on the rock bridge bringing boulders smashing down on the gut curse just then a sewer lid starts to move and waxer and boyle emerge with a twillik child she is able to explain how a series of tunnels lead up to the area with the cannons and kenobi and cody come up with a plan cody we're going to need a diversion the commander and his men launched a forward attack on the guns carefully blasting some of the droids away while kenobi was using the confusion to sneak up and free the prisoners in the tunnel the girl would be reunited with her father but kenobi rushes back to finish the fight as cody was mopping up the droid troops the jedi mounted one of the j-1 cannons blasting away the other guns and opening the area for the acclimators to land with the rest of the invasion force and we see cody would be right alongside kenobi and mace as they planned the next stages of the liberation of ryloth though mace and his men would be the ones to finish the fight in this same year the republic was trying to keep another outer rim world free of cis occupation but the gar forces on felucia were being overwhelmed while trying to push through the jungles on their att walkers they were pinned by hordes of mechanized foes from b1s to b2s to dwarf spider droids cody and his men were forced to take cover behind the legs of the walkers and command was now telling them that even more droid reinforcements were on the way it was clear to kenobi that they could not win this fight but ahsoka was as hard-headed and eager to fight as her master denying the command from both kenobi and skywalker forcing them to land the evacuating laat gun ships directly in front of her forces remember cody worked almost exclusively with kenobi so it had to be shocking to see ahsoka defy direct orders from two superiors within a day or so of this event cadbane would pull off a successful holocron heist and with this and the kidnapping of master bolo rapal the keeper of the kyber crystal bane could access the list of all of the known force sensitive children in the galaxy luckily the bounty hunter was captured and after some painful and terrifying jedi mind tricks he agrees to help them in order to save his mind from snapping cody would be the only trooper to accompany them on the journey to retrieve the stolen holocron though he is asked to stay with the ship while the jedi go with bane who was able to use the automated defenses to help him escape but the jedi masters were able to secure the holocron and later anakin and ahsoka rescued the children that were already hunted down the next fight would be one of the toughest of the entire clone wars though he was not there for the opening battle cody would play a crucial role during the second battle of geonosis and kenobi has his trusted commander deliver the plan when we hit the ground we'll create a perimeter there getting past the defenses here will be the trick the geonosian anti-aircraft capabilities were incredibly powerful being responsible for protecting some of the largest droid manufacturing plants in the galaxy the closest thing the cis had to a planet with a role like kamino each of the transports was shut down resulting in a fiery crash that scattered the generals and their forces coming in on the second wave cody and more of the 212th were able to make it to the rendezvous point and he is quick to spot kenobi's gunship and send waxer and boyle out to rescue him we've got a down gunship five clicks east we believe it's general kenobi's i need you to get out there and check the survivors cody would have to coordinate the fire of all of the forces in the square perimeter with att's desperately trying to blast away the aats and speeders while the troops tried to keep up with the flying bugs just as they were about to be overwhelmed kaity mundy and anakin's forces were finally able to make it back breaking the bug's assault and relieving kenobi in the 212th the apprentice seeing that his master is exhausted from the defense the next stage would be the assault on the communications array and shield generator in line with his reckless nature skywalker would take on the task of rushing the target disabling the guns for cody's troops and the walkers which then made way for mundi's boys swooping in on gunships they would be able to press on and successfully bring down the droid manufacturing plan but pogo the lesser had escaped kenobi and luminara's forces took on the task of clearing out the rest of the bug opposition and hopefully discover the archduke's whereabouts these two split up when she reports that she tracked poggle into a temple's catacombs the hollow message cuts off as geonosian's attack further complicate things one of this planet's enormous sandstorm is now passing over the gir's base once it clears they are able to head out and kenobi has cody and a squadron of troops come with him it isn't long before they realized it was a massacre bus is dead slowly they make their way through the dark creepy catacombs luminara regains consciousness sees she was being dragged deeper tries to fight them off and sees that they are like zombies damage to their bodies does nothing they seem to be in a sort of trance horrified by this she grabs the calm and tells kenobi to run but they were coming up on her position and had just seen the undead bugs for themselves even bolts to the head are not a guaranteed kill so sabers need to be used to dismember them to cut off the waves of reinforcements the troops open fire on the stone ceilings causing a cave-in that buys them some breathing room the two clones that were sent up to hail kaede mundi get ambushed and killed forcing the rest of the men even deeper into the complex this pays off however as they stumble upon the queen's chamber she sits high above her zombie underlings with luminara shackled at her feet but kenobi has a plan and the two jedi casually walk up to queen karina the great the generals try and find a peaceful resolution to this but as a brain worm was about to enter luminara's skull kenobi gives the order cody now the helmet's flashlights are blinding to these underground dwelling creatures the whole room has blasted the bits kenobi rips the brain worm off and frees the menara while anakin arrests pogba lesser cody and the boys bring down the ceiling again the huge slabs of rock crushing everyone in the room including her highness they would all rush towards an air vent with endless hordes of bugs in hot pursuit as they make their ascent cody ensures that he is the last one up holding off the bugs to the last bowl and even throwing his blaster at him before he turns and has to scramble up the wall as well the cave-in from the queen's chamber was spreading and generating a thrust of air that shot the republic forces to freedom sprinting out of the temple complex before the whole thing collapsed this mission was one of the greatest victories of the war destroying a major droid factory and retaking geonosis both an important strategic location in the outer rim while also being one of the most valuable to the cis war effort it neutralized the separatists most productive people killed their queen and captured their leader who was himself one of the highest ranking members of the confederacy cody was definitely proud of this operation later that year jedi master eth would be captured by grievous and while he called the temple to taunt the masters with a promise that he would torture koth endlessly kenobi notices that their friend was giving them hand signals that would reveal his location a fleet full of venators aquadins and chargers would descend on grievous position intoxicated by one capture the cyborg decided to be bold and capture kenobi as well with him taking the bait kenobi is on the bridge when he gives anakin the all clear skywalker would try a dangerous maneuver to pop out of hyperspace just in front of the cis fleet and covertly attach himself to grievous ship kenobi allows his arkodens to be captured by the requisite pulled into the docking tube via its powerful tractor beams and obi-wan reminds cody that they will have to keep general grievous engaged until they get word that anakin's team had rescued eth it was tough but skywalker and galia were able to best the room full of commando droids take out the t-series and free the master while kenobi was putting on quite a show giving the cyborg just enough of an edge to make him think that his long-awaited victory over kenobi was finally here but when he thinks he found an opening he smashes the magnagard's corpse into grievous and demands a surrender cody come in yes sir grievous is headed your way scrambling down the corridors like a mechanized insect cody and the boys had opened fire but the general snapped upright and engaged a helicopter spin of his blades barreling towards them the clones jumped to the side with just inches to spare but then fire a grapple hook to rein him in each of them jumping onto this monstrosity and trying to bring him down but the robotic strength was just too much cody and the rest go flying off smashing into the walls though this did hold him up long enough for kenobi to intercept which then allowed galia to catch up with them as well seemed like this was the end for grievous but the explosion from the destroyed arkwooden separated the docking tube and threatened to pull everyone into space grievous's metal claws allowed him to scurry away while golly was forced to send a cable down to her allies though kenobi wants to pursue the cis general dalia tells him that they have to go and while the arkwadens and requisite are destroyed grievous makes it out via a c9979 with several other ships being released at the same time to cover his escape kenobi says that he would like to take rex in the 5.0 first along with him in the 212th down to that crash site on salukimai and hopefully bring in the head of the droid army once they get planetside the forces head to the crash site of the down c9979 and cody tries to see what he can learn from the wreckage that will housing intakes are still warm this couldn't have happened too long ago once they have the whole ship covered kenobi decides to split the forces up and sends out the 501st to search through the other crash sites and as they pull away we get a nice look at what cody and kenobi think of rex rex is a smart man indeed always thinking on his feet 501st boys are occupied with their own problems rex would be sniped and was recovering in a farmhouse while cody was hard at work trying to crack into a droid's mind finding the last communications both sent and received showing the path of another escape pod according to his memory logs he fired the emergency thrusters on the escape pod to avoid a mid-air collision at this site grievous is growing tired of his droid's incompetence who are having trouble getting a signal out to their cis allies kenobi's forces in the 501st contingent would descend on grievous with speeders encircling them as walkers were blasting away with their main cannon trying to shoot down the shuttle that just raced overhead grievous always knows when to run away and by using a grapple gun mounted on his arm he connects to the ship without even having to land and is able to make his getaway though the 212th is frustrated at this lost opportunity they know that grievous will run out of luck one day but from here kenobi would be assigned to investigate a possible connection between mandalore and the cis the world claimed to be neutral but a mando paramilitary force named deathwatch was working with dooku after a terrorist attack nearly killed duchess sateen in kenobi followed by the discovery of a death watch based on their moon concordia skywalker and the 501st were called in to help escort the duchess to coruscant rex and cody were there with their generals as the men spread throughout the enormous yacht the coronet some time would pass and they would be deep into their flight through hyperspace when the jedi get an alarming call anakin heads down into the cargo hold and cody gives him an update there's still no sign of mixer and red eye cody discovered that their brothers were killed by an assassin probe droid which when activated can unleash a swarm of tiny probe killer droids another one was racing through the ship intent on eliminating sateen kenobi would have to take out his attacker with the help of the royal guards while anakin the troopers and even r2 goes on a killing spree trying to clear out the lower sections of the ship by using one of the captured tiny probes kenobi is able to figure out who the traitor was tal marek prince of the mando-controlled world of kelvala hated the pacifist ways of the duchess in the confusion he was able to take her prisoner and contact death watch for evac but the mandalorian royal guards the gar and jedi order had other plans george class boarding ships inserted b2 super battle droids which were blasting their way through the coronet firefight was intense as the jedi were forced to peel off and try and rescue sateen where we see anakin cuts through the abstract pacifist philosophical nonsense and simply kills the bad guy retrieves the detonator and saves the lives of everyone aboard with cody rushing back to tell them that the cis forces had been completely driven off general skywalker the last of the droids have been defeated sir this mission showed how dooku was growing more brazen as the war progressed both sides were happy that they weren't fighting mandalorians but instead of leaving them alone dooku tried to use their internal politics to insert a puppet ruler something that now backfired and was instead pushing satine towards an alliance with the republic but even more brazen would be the attack on the clone's homeworld before grievous had nearly used the captured rishi moon outpost to blitzkrieg kamino but the cis had now come up with a new strategy cody and rex would be in the meeting when a technician intercepted a transmission between the cyborg and dooku's assassin ventress stating that they were moving into position for attack cody is puzzled by this move knowing that dooku was well aware that kamino was one of the most heavily defended worlds in the galaxy an acclimator would take the clone force's planet side to reinforce the city while the orbital defense fleet readied for battle kenobi shakti commander cody and captain rex were coordinating the defense from the command center an anakin would be in his fighter leading the bombers towards the cis capital ships obi-wan notes that it seems too easy and the amount of debris falling to kamino is suspicious going underwater he sees that aqua droids were rebuilding vessels concealed in that debris and as he makes his way back to taipoka city he's forced to watch as enormous trident-class assault ships leap on top of the dome structures punch through the metal and inserted their droid army dozens of them were swarming the cloning facilities some destroying the growth chamber columns resulting in the deaths of thousands of unborn brothers rex and cody knew the top priority was to defend the dna samples if the separatists got a hold of django's original dna sample they could develop specialized diseases and viruses for biowarfare and after a long fight through the halls of the once pristine city ventress was able to extract the sample but was caught by anakin and while the two engage in saber combat that will take them throughout the complex the clones were setting up a trap in the barracks defective clone 99 says that he could lead them to the armory now with more firepower they get into position drawing the droids in and blasting them to pieces even getting the younglings involved konomi would be in his own duel with grievous while wave after wave of droids were trying to push past the clones but now they were running out of explosives 99 would take initiative and run to collect more exhilarated to actually be in combat alongside his brothers full of joy he sprints out towards the armory rex urges him to come back but it was too late round after round of blaster fire would hit their target and bring him down this being who was deemed defective by his creators was seen as a war hero by his brothers the jedi generals had chased off the cis leaders and with their retreats all withdrawal of the clankers while in the barracks they all mourned the loss of 99. we lost a true soldier and those once shinies echo and fives had deeply impressed cody with their valor as well echo fives you're both officially being made arc troopers carrying on a lineage from alpha 17 cody still kept a lookout for those skilled enough to join this elite unit in the following year 20 bby master even peel was captured before he could transport information on the location of secret hyperspace passages that would act like a shortcut to the outer rim but which could also give the cis a super highway to coruscant the master was being held at the citadel a prison complex on the planet lola seyu that was considered to be the most impenetrable facility in the galaxy in order to get in cody and the team would be carbon frozen while r2 would command reprogrammed b1s and navigate this ship to land on world the astromech would also help them thaw out of the carbonite and we see all of these organics were heavily disoriented from this process they make their approach to the citadel and see that their grapple hooks won't work instead they will have to scale the cliff wall once they get to the platform ahsoka is able to slip through the vent and disable the ratio but when charger loses his footing and falls into the wall mines the entire base is alerted the clones take point as they move through the base disabling cameras and laser cannons but a pulse of plasma energy sweeps towards them scattering them and killing longshot with the clacks and blaring they were forced to run and gun towards the target the clones burst into the cell holding even peel blasting the clankers away and freeing the master he explains that he deleted the location of the secret hyperspace lanes and he committed half to memory while captain tarkin memorized the other half but as they rush to rescue tarkin the warden releases his customized commando droids their incredible athleticism allows them to spring around the hallway while still blasting away at the republic forces though impressive killing machines a jedi with a saber and a clone with a dc rifle prove an even more powerful combo but sobek has plenty of tricks up his sleeves activating an electromagnet combined with an ear piercing sonic blast that is overwhelming to the naked ear but even more intense inside of the clone trooper's helmet their weapons were yanked out of their hands and up towards the ceiling but it also brought anakin along with it while another round of commandos came to capture them skywalker was able to activate his blade making the weapons rain down and cody and the gang don't miss a beat slashing and blasting the droids and making it to tarkin the captain immediately starts to critique the jedi's plan saying they should stick together but master peel overrides them saying tarkin will go with skywalker and he's gonna go with kenobi and as they race towards the exit cody starts throwing down thermal detonators once the droids close in on them kenobi sets them off clearing out an entire level of the prism complex anakin's forces would cut their way into a canyon and r2 is taking the shuttle to the extraction point cody leads his team through the ventilation shafts but is spotted by a probe droid which activates another vicious little defense feature blast doors closing at every junction cutting one of cody's brothers in half the 501st crew was also discovered and kept getting held up by wave after wave of droid cody would help his team repel down the side of the main tower as they worked their way over to the pickup but the warden was watching everything activating defense cannons and deploying an assortment of deadly droids to finally capture them they were brought to the warden's command center and each are interrogated eventually resulting in sobek killing a clone to prove that he was not playing around this is only cut short by the reports that his droids had found the second team sobek orders these prisoners to all be thrown in their cells and tortured for the information r2 was listening in on all this and uses his b1s to take control the prisoners acting as if they have orders to transport them away skywalker's team was now engaged in an enormous battle as they came close to the landing pad where the reprogrammed droid's cover was blown turbo lasers were firing stap speeders were strafing the area and all backed up by droid infantry there was simply too much working against this plan with the entire base now trying to kill them the public forces didn't have a chance and then a commando droid used one of the turrets to blast apart the shuttle the flames consumed echo and forced them to finally admit defeat falling back into the cave system to regroup luckily they were able to contact the jedi temple getting plokun to agree that a fleet would have to be sent to engage the cis orbital defense the plan could no longer be a stealth mission and now the teams would have to push through to the next extraction point in the caves cody would be the first to spot the droids on their trail blasting away with this small group but knowing that many more enemy forces were on the way crab droids would then catch up with them cutting them off and forcing a dangerous descent down a sheer cliff wall while under heavy blaster fire cody would pick up one of his fallen brothers dc15 and he and anakin fired on the commandos above while the rest of the team pushed through to another ridge they were getting closer but cody peel and ahsoka spot a herd of anuba racing towards them and of course followed by even more droids on speeders they try to close the distance but crab droids ambush peel and ahsoka the master told the clones to push ahead but he would be critically wounded by the beast while tarkin and kenobi were occupied with the staps but eventually they would stop the second wave so much for the hunting party ahsoka returns with the fallen master and a quick service is held using the force to lower his body into the lava in orbit the venators had arrived and squadrons of starfighters were being deployed plokun on the gunship and seisi tin and his jedi fighter acting as escort the only thing left was for the team to make it to the lz on the nearby island but that was easier said than done the warden would personally try to stop their escape and another wave of crab droids nearly consumed their fleshy foes the gunship did arrive just in time and with the fighter escort they're able to make it back into the venator and make the jump to coruscant later that year the republic would invade the mysterious outer rim world of ambara kodi and kenobi would push towards the capital while anakin in the 501st would eliminate the hardened umbaran fighters along the way this fighting would be one of the most intense of the entire clone wars with terrifying wildlife powerful and previously unseen weapon systems and jungle warfare tactics used by the natives the defenses in the city were proving too much for the 212th forcing the 501st to take a major arms depot and airfield then kenobi reported that a cis resupply ship and atmosphere was delivering a stream of firepower and reinforcements to the capital pong krell had to step in for anakin being the acting general of the 501st but he directed his men not to use the umbarran fighters five's jesse and hardcase knew that every second that ship was still intact means more and more of their brothers in the 212th will die it was too important of an opportunity and they were able to destroy the supply ship with these exotic and barren fighters but just as the road to the capital seemed clear general krell holds a meeting with rex saying they received reports that umbarans had donned the armor of some of kenobi's men impersonating clones and heading to the airfield the boys in blue would make their way through the thick fluorescent jungle and after a while they spot their imposters wearing the orange stripes of the 212th these two forces start to blast away at each other an intense firefight erupts with many being cut down on both sides before rex sees something as off under the helmet of one of these casualties he sees the face of a brother rex rips his helmet off and sprints into the middle of the fire urging both sides to stop that they were shooting at their own men cody was not here for this exchange but he would learn that their jedi general pong krell had defected to the cis that he was purposely working to increase the casualties among the 501st and leave the 212th to be overwhelmed by the re-supplied on barnes but despite all of this they were able to take complete control of the planet general kenobi's battalions have routed the last holdouts of embarrass and we've secured all sectors though we do not see cody's response his lifelong friend rex is deeply troubled questioning the clone's purpose in this war and what they are to do with themselves when the fighting finally stops cody helped capture the traitorous clone slick at the beginning of the war and now they had been betrayed by a jedi but we need to keep in mind that anakin's rebellious nature rubbed off on ahsoka and rex while kenobi was much more reserved and rigid with command so though cody and rex are similar in many ways i wouldn't be surprised if cody was less troubled by these betrayals more focused on the task at hand trusting in his superiors and not being distracted by these larger philosophical concerns or what the future might hold in this same year the peaceful colony of tagrudos on kairos went missing dooku had taken a slaver and simply landed on the planet rounded them all up and transported them to the slave capital of the galaxy on zygeria cody would lead a team planetside and they report that there are no sign of the colonists after the 501st eliminates some of the ground forces they meet up with cody at the base of the main tower of the colony cody any word from the separatist commander he's barricaded inside his name is darts dinar kenobi would go alone and the arrogant slaver tells him that he had planted bombs alongside the colonists and was demanding an immediate surrender by republic forces but kenobi would activate his kong allowing cody and skywalker to hear everything but they were nearly killed when darts sets off the first of the explosives to prove he wasn't bluffing once they recover cody was able to scan the area and locate the devices spread throughout the colony droid's general the bomb coordinates now cody and his men would work to deactivate some while anakin and ahsoka hopped on atrts and took care of the rest once kenobi gets word that the bombs are no longer in play he starts fighting for real and quickly overwhelmed the slaver's security darts would have been captured if he didn't plant a bomb on his own t-series droid and then used it as a distraction to make an escape cody would be mopping up the rest of the droid forces while the jedi make a dangerous boarding of the zygerian ship and are able to put darts to gnar and chains this mission would eventually culminate in the death of the slaver queen and drive the tigruta to join the republic shortly after this hondo onaka's pirate gang would strike the crucible the ship used to build the padawan's first lightsabers ahsoka ended up getting captured leaving the children on their own after they made their jump through hyperspace they try hailing anyone nearby and are shocked to hear the voice of the famed hero obi-wan kenobi who instructs them to stay put that he will come by to rescue them immediately but on cue an enormous cis fleet pops out of hyperspace cody looks like you're staying here for now their cannons and vulture droids easily overwhelm the aquidens and republic starfighters with grievous furiously pushing through the carnage intent on finally killing his arch rival his shuttle arrives in the trail of a burning y-wing that explodes right in the open hangar of kenobi's venator cody is at his general side the entire time as they work through the droids and engage grievous they're pushed back and cody's quick thinking suggests that they send a fuel tank at grievous his ace shot hits the canister with perfect timing exploding over the general but even that doesn't slow the cyborg down they are forced to retreat spreading back up towards the bridge sir should we stay invite we can't lose the ship now cody the ship is already lost we must face it as grievous takes control of kenobi's flagship he discovers a pre-recorded message if you're watching this message that means i'm boarding an escape pod and she'll soon be safely away from the ship the cis forces race to get away from the venator while cody and his general watch on as the negotiator is blown to bits meanwhile on florum the padawans had taken their newly crafted blades to rescue ahsoka it would be a long fight for freedom with grievous coming in to strip hondo of his pirate kingdom and ensure ahsoka's transition to the confederacy an unlikely alliance had to be made with hondo to ensure they all escape the pirates saving the day with the slave 1 and taking the jedi to kenobi's replacement venator while the slick weekway tries to negotiate a bounty for the jedi he had previously attacked kenobi and cody looked on an amusement before hondo finally gives up and settles with not being arrested we're now at the opening of 19 bby the final year of the clone wars cody and much of the gar leadership were nearly killed in a single attack the cis had hijacked a venator and packed it full of rhydonium an incredibly volatile fuel r2 was on a team trying to disable it but the separatist had set it on a collision course with valor space station which was holding a republic strategy conference with all of the top brass and jedi generals the astromech couldn't stop the bomb sequence but he could get it to detonate early though even several miles off target the blast is enormous creating a shockwave that shook the entire fleet and space station bombarding everything with enormous chunks of debris a great fireworks display to kick off the final year of the war and this would be followed by one of the strangest missions of cody's career the order was contacted by the people of bray to deal with a vampire-like creature instead of sucking blood it would leach off power similar to a mynock but this creature was much more intelligent a sapient being who was allied with dooku and the promise of being unleashed on the clone army and like your standard vampire he could transform his victims into new vampires morphing them into another one of these beasts which is exactly what happened to one of cody's men after they realized that this thing eats the blaster bolts fired at it and would effortlessly evade the thermal detonators kenobi and adigalio had rushed to the creature's spire where they ran into count dooku the sith was manipulating the beast but it turned on him transforming dooku into a combination of this monstrous form but still retaining his dark side powers the duel with this creature resulted in its death lifting the hold of this curse on its victims each of them including trooper peel was reverted back to their original form cody right by his friend's side to welcome him back and the next mission would also involve dooku though this time he was in chains darksaber to his neck as darth maul threatened sidious with the execution of his apprentice the puppet leader of his precious cis all with his allied mandalorian super commandos standing guard over general grievous as well they were hidden in one of previzula's bases within an asteroid field but the republic was able to track them and this would make for an incredible hall if all three of these evil beings were captured at once providing a swift end to the war and the best chance to learn the identity of the mysterious darth sidious as they near the asteroid field cody reports that the probes had been launched and that the starfighters were ready once the exact location of the base was discovered they rushed to the gun ships and we can see the hatred cody felt towards maul knowing what that monster had done to kenobi on mandalore this raid occurring after the murder of duchess satine as soon as maul gets distracted by the report of a republic fleet dooku uses the force to activate a button that frees grievous with z95s escorting the jedi and squads of troopers they fight their way through the gauntlet fighters and are forced to make a crash landing in the hidden hangar dooku reluctantly aligns with maul while as always grievous was making a quick escape cody and the clones would be engaging them all deloreans while the two sith rushed to confront kenobi and tiply as they square off another shuttle containing mace windu and ayla sakura arrived this mission being too important not to recruit all available reinforcements in the area but the dark side is strong with these two maul is able to handle multiple jedi at a time while dooku calls on the force to bring tipley into his crimson blade as kenobi cries out for her a mando rocket comes flying at them erupting in the middle of this fight allowing the sith to escape though this would be an incredibly disappointing conclusion to a mission that was hoped to end the war the republic could taste blood quinlan voss would be sent to work undercover posing as a fallen jedi where he did actually succumb to the dark side via the manipulation of ventress still thinking him an ally he accompanied obi-wan anakin and cody on a mission to raid a large separatist supply storage base this wouldn't be a flashy victory but one that the republic needed hoping to relieve some of their shortages with this hall voss would act as if he discovered several explosives throughout the asteroid forcing the republic to flee and all those supplies to be destroyed kenobi and vos always had a friendly relationship if not quite friends but when their next target a separatist listening post on vancouver was evacuated right before the republic assault fingers started pointing towards quinlan the jedi high council wanted to ensure that he was still in the light and so they called their planet to action ordering vos to assassinate dooku immediately but vos was truly conflicted and was drawn back to the light but also realized that dooku was the only way to reveal the identity of the true threat sidious the council's insurance policy was to have anakin and kenobi track quinlan and eliminate dooku themselves if need be after all this time the countless missed opportunities the plan worked catching dooku and voz both by surprise and getting them both under arrest cody was on standby and a venator nearby and as soon as he got the call they rushed into position to secure the transfer cody knew these enemies well and placed 24 of his top troopers within the side hangar all spaced out several meters and out of each other's firing lane trying to negate the effects of these force-wielding quick-reacting saber-slashing maniacs and he was also accompanied by jedi knight's dash and cav dash was one of vos's closest friends and as the captors are being transferred to the brig on the venator voss strips the knight's lightsaber and is able to free dooku and then steals the saber from kav both knights would be killed and cody would be force thrown down the length of a passageway smashing into the wall and breaking his leg rendering him unable to stop the escape voss and dooku would both escape to christophsis where kenobi would eventually lose the trail while cody healed in a back to bath we're now in the final weeks of the clone wars and a massive battle was being waged in the fortress world of anaxis a core world that had been one of the most important naval sites in the galaxy for well over a thousand years at this point the feared and respected admiral trench was leading the invasion and the republic had been on their heels for weeks with each major republic tactic being countered by the cis forces in a way that was a little too good even for the spider genius and cody knows to trust rex's mind rexia has a good theory on why we keep losing the jedi are intrigued and open to any suggestions and we see cody praising rex as one of the best my concern is that rex is one of our best cody then proves why they work so well together developing a plan of attack out of rex's suspicions there's a separatist cyber center which relays all battlefield intel to their command ship after they are dismissed anakin can tell that rex has something else on his mind but interestingly he does not reveal this even to his beloved general but only to fellow clone and friend cody he starts off by remembering all the brothers they had lost over the years sometimes in war it's hard to be the one that survives a statement that has dual meaning for rex who is so concerned with life after war but he reveals that his true hunch is that echo is alive cody is shocked and says that this is too much of a stretch they had all seen echo die at the citadel rex understands but still claims that the tactics being used by trench were created by him and echo cody has to get his brother focused however as they need to go join up with clone force 99 to carry out this raid on the separatist cyber center rex had never met them before and cody explains that this squad are not your normal clones so why haven't i heard of this squad experimental unit clone force 99 the defective clones with the desirable mutations their shuttle would make a near crash landing breaking every protocol in the books as they scattered staff and supplies and we can see they have worked together before sergeant good to see you again you too sir this is hunter after some introductions and explanations of their unique abilities they hop on the laat and head out to the insertion point but the anger is bubbling in the confined spaces of the gunship as the bad batch finds ways to poke and prod the clones that they call regs just regular old boring clones cody had to break it up and have them focus on the target but in an instant everything changes a dwarf spider droid plucks them out of the air with a barrage of fire bringing down the la-a-t in a fiery landing cody is unconscious and trapped inside and while rex and jesse want to rush to help wrecker steps in and shows his mutation incredible size and strength allowing him to pick up the gunship chuck it aside and carry cody to safety the bad batch then takes charge of the situation rushing the enemy in their unique fighting style using a combo of emp shield and speed to take out the b1s in the spider droid they would have to set up camp for the night with rex attending the cody who was still in tremendous pain and was completely unable to fight rex would have to confront hunter as the bad batch wanted to ignore rex's men now that cody was down jessie and kick scramble on their feet to defend him and after a scuffle it's agreed that they will defer to rex hunter really showing how much respect he has for cody we'll do it your way captain for commander cody they would be able to storm the facility and tech got to work hacking into the main computer while the rest of them continued to scrap the droids rex would be there as the source of the algorithm was tracked back to skacko minor but they are both shocked to learn that it was not a code but a living being that was sending the tactics to admiral trench as the garbled voice reads ct1409 rex knows that his fears were confirmed the resulting mission would reveal that ekko was in a semi-vegetative state his mind plugged into a cis supercomputer they were able to rescue their lost brother and strip trench of this upper hand echo would also volunteer to use his knowledge of cis codes to mask their ship's presence allowing them to sneak onto trench's flagship planetside kenobi and windu would be leading a major assault to retake a shipyard but cody would miss out on all the action which saw the death of trench and the destruction of an entire separatist fleet along with thousands of battle droids on world though we would see that cody was in good enough shape to see off his bad batch friends along with their new addition veko cody's penultimate battle of the clone wars would take place on the planet of urbana you'd be leading the troops into combat on a crucial bridge with hundreds of boys and orange charging ahead into the fire of octoptara tridroids armored assault tanks and mortars an intense battle that almost led to cody's death as one mortar had a trajectory that was going to hit him directly only to be slashed away at the last second by general kenobi they would be forced behind cover and cody gives him an update it's no good we can't locate the tactical droid kenobi's forces were pinned down until anakin shows up and fakes the surrender as soon as the tactical droid appeared he calls to r2 to spring the trap and rips the t-series to him and severs his head the 501st was under the bridge activated their jetpacks and fly over the droid forces dropping explosives and taking out ranks of clankers and droid vehicles the 212th looking on an amazement at the effectiveness of this tactic and cody can't wait to get into the action general yes cody you may join the fun as well yes sir the break after this battle would only last a short moment they got the alert that had been the number one fear the entire war the heart of the galaxy home to trillions was being invaded by the largest cis fleet to date the battle of coruscant would call in all available resources it was learned that the chancellor himself had been captured this resulted in the largest naval combat of the war and the republic was able to flip this into a victory resulting in dooku's death the head of the cis literally cut off and the new head general grievous was desperately on the run when republic intelligence traced a signal to odapal kenobi and his forces would be tasked with bringing this war to an end instead of joining the fight anakin would be sent to speak with the chancellor and in what would prove to be kenobi's last conversation with anakin before his padawan returned to the dark side we see cody was there as well walking behind his general but also showing how much these friends knew each other at this point cody telling his trooper to give the jedi some space so that the two jedi could have some privacy and from here they would head out to their final mission once in orbit over coruscant cody would give the briefing to kenobi and his top men well fortunately most of the cities are concentrated on this small continent here on the far side i'll keep them distracted until you get there just don't take too long come on when have i ever let you down and with that the general was often a starfighter but the coordinates locked for udapal the plan would have to be obi-wan scout ahead by himself to locate the exact position of the general before cody was called in he knew that the cyborg couldn't resist a personal duel with the man that he had been trying to kill for so many years engaging the four-armed jedi killer with hundreds of battle droids looking on all those times cody had been frustrated at losing grievous had been worth it it helped keep the cis general focused and ensured the distraction bought time for the 212th to make it to the location general kenobi gathered an army large enough to capture three star systems the first squads would repel down from wires and open fire surprising the droid forces and taking the hangar with the venators and atmosphere now pouring lats into the rocky openings of pal city many of his brothers would be cut down by the crab droids b1s b2s as well as the smaller variants of the octaptara but the clones were giving a lot more than they were taking and it wasn't long before they secured the entire city the only problem was that even with the loss of two hands grievous was as cagey as ever running away from kenobi and then racing away on his wheel bike and the jedi was in hot pursuit on a varactyl but when he makes the jump he loses his lightsaber which as the force would have it lands right at cody's feet even in the thick of battle he notices this drop and secures it to his belt while the general was off to kill the cis new leader cody makes a report back to the high council may i interrupt general kenobi has made contact with general grievous and we have begun our attack thank you commander kenobi would intercept grievous just as he was about to escape via his bell-beloved fighter and despite their feud always resulting in a flurry of incredible lightsaber wielding skills it would come to an uncivilized end obi-wan using a blaster to take out his organic life support systems which set the cyborg ablaze now dooku and grievous were dead the cis lost their largest flea over coruscant victory was nearly guaranteed at this point and kenobi makes a triumphant return to his old friend commander cody tell him to move to the higher levels very good sir oh by the way i think you'll be needing this thank you cody now let's get a move on we've got a battle to win here the general would run off to finish the fight when cc2224 received the call that would change the fate of the galaxy he is the first we see to be contacted by darth sidious execute order 66. [Music] yes we can't be sure who actually was the first but i would say there's good reason to think that it would be either cody or rex the two being sidious would fear most would be ahsoka and kenobi this would be the most likely to pull anakin back to the light but sidious was always dismissive of ahsoka and kenobi would have been seen as far more powerful i think it makes sense that he would try and kill anakin's master first and with these simple orders the inhibitor chip was activated and cc2224 personally commands the att to fire at the man that had been by his side the entire war he would watch as the general fell hundreds of feet presumably to his death but as we see later cody would not believe that this jedi master was dead until he saw the body did you find kenobi sir no one could have survived that fall cc2224 would learn that the jedi order had attempted a coup a violent overthrow of the supreme chancellor with intent on ruling over the senate learning that he and his brothers had been created by a jedi all those years ago for the sole purpose of dragging the galaxy into war so the jedi had an excuse to bring the entire galaxy under the rule of this forced cult the public was told that dooku a high-ranking jedi master wasn't an enemy of the jedi order at all it was all part of the high council's plot and the deaths of all of his clone brothers were simply a means to political power from here the 212th would team up with the 501st and were sent to kashyyyk we left as heroes years later we'd return as conquerors the wookie had long been close allies to the jedi and reports stated that they assisted in the escape of the master manipulator head of the jedi order yoda for this the entire population had been brought under imperial control most of the population would be found guilty of crimes against the empire and shipped off to detention facilities some enemies of the state called these slave camps and even some of his clone brothers were spreading traitorous rumors conspiracy theories that pointed to the kaminoans and palpatine as the puppet masters he was happy to find that his old friend rex had survived the war as well but it's unclear how much ct 7567 told him of the true events of order 66 we would see that rex told gregor and woof that fives was right that the inhibitor chimps were put in their brains before birth to override their bodies and use them as tools to kill their beloved jedi allies that the emperor was the real villain of the clone wars i would expect that rex would have prodded cody in conversation about things finding ways to critique the empire but when he saw that cody was a loyal trooper to the core he probably didn't want to incriminate himself any further rex and skywalker had a very different relationship than cody and kenobi where anakin was reckless and provoked independent thought always questioning orders and their purpose and open to those who critiqued the republic and the jedi all which shaped the traits of both rex and ahsoka kenobi was the exact opposite a stickler for protocol respecting the chain of command and embodying the phrase don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good kenobi knew full well that the order was flawed and that the republic was greatly flawed but also understood that the separatists were being led by a sith lord who had truly evil intentions it would be better to conserve the institutions in place knowing that those seeking to tear them down were not focused on improving anything they merely seek to gain their own political power and were fine with a war that would burn the whole galaxy down to see this happen and so this mentality is likewise seen in cody while rex would slowly phase out of the stormtrooper core after the empire relegated these heroes to increasingly menial jobs cody would go on to train the newest generation of soldiers but he quickly realized that these birth-born humans were not the quality he was used to i think i should just read the entire log from the imperial battalion commander operations log this comes from the year 1 bby a point at which many clones were well into retirement we see cody is still training recruits on kamino cody says quote since the empire has redirected the clone trooper program to other pursuits and stepped up the recruiting of inferior humans from the outer rim the operational effectiveness of this army has declined significantly the stormtroopers in my own battalion are expendable buffoons they have neither common sense nor sense of their own surroundings just today i witnessed a new recruit hit his head on a blast door during maneuvers blasted idiots what a disgrace to the heritage and legacy of a once truly incredible fighting force as one of the last clones in service today few others can share in my disdain for these men i'd sacrifice an entire platoon of new stormtrooper recruits for just one real clone trooper if the clone template were still alive i think he'd kill him all himself so after a lifetime of service we see cody is being driven mad on kamino now what i'm bound to say is well reasoned but unconfirmed by the lore one theory is that he died during the rebel assault on kamino this attack resulted in tremendous amounts of damage likely hundreds if not thousands were killed so cody may have been one of them but there are many that suspect that cody met a horrifying end in canon there is the imperial sentry droid it's just a droid not a cyborg like its legends equivalent the dark trooper the phase zero dark troopers were elite clone wars veterans whose brains and some of the nervous system were integrated into cyborg war machines this was done to make the most use of these aging clones keeping their decades of combat experience while discarding the weakening body giving it bones and muscles of dura steel augmented by advanced computing and integrated weapon systems if there was anyone who had both the elite background and unquestioned loyalty for the republic cody would be first on that list remember he was not just an arc trooper but the leader of squad 7 the elite among the elite personally i prefer this end of cody's story as it's one of the darker and would be one of the most poetically cruel stories in the galaxy a man that came to hate the cyborg grievous now a cyborg himself not an agent of justice but one of the sith lord's most brutal enforcers as vader's fear led him to be trapped in a mechanized suit you could see cody's blind loyalty leading him to a similar fate but there is still hope that an alternate fate will be confirmed in the lore perhaps cody will have died in peace after a well-earned retirement but until then that's it for the complete life
