How big can you make Goombas in Super Mario 3D World? [Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury]

today we test the limits of super mario 3d world by seeing just how big we can make a goomba we will make stretched goombas pancake goombas thick goombas and goombas so big that they break the game let's first start with making a stretched goomba here is a goomba that is four times as wide as a normal goomba here is a goomba that is 10 times as wide as a normal goomba it's so wide that it sticks into the pipe when we start the level and here it is running towards mario it's so wide here that it almost stretches across the entire screen you might be wondering if we could make these goombas so wide that they stretch longer than the screen and let's see at 25 times normal width the goomba is so wide that it stretches through the pipe at the start of the level as we get close to the goomba its slight side to side movement seems very exaggerated since it's so wide and if we stand at a certain angle the goomba is wider than the screen here let's try bringing the goomba up to 50 times as wide as normal so this should be twice as wide as the previous goomba it's starting to look like a rolling log enemy instead of a goomba and what happens if this goomba goes into the pipe [Music] oh my goodness it is spinning how does this make any sense if you wait here a moment without moving the camera zooms in and we can see this spinning goomba log even more clearly that's not a sentence i ever thought i'd say but i am very glad that i have seen a spinning goomba log and if you like this spinning goomba log you could click the like button for this spinning goomba log when the goomba is 100 times as wide as a normal goomba the goomba is looking pretty wide from certain camera angles the goomba disappears if we are too far away from it if you attract the wide goomba's attention you can notice that it's spinning around is a little scary the goomba looks like it can see everything it stretches pretty far beyond the level and we can see it graphically clipping through some parts of the fence here right before this wide goomba pops into the pipe is probably the best moment to look at its eyes and you can see that its eyes go wide and we can just slightly make out that this creature slightly resembles a goomba and it's nice that we have a regular goomba near it as a comparison to what it normally looks like at 250 times as wide it looks like a ray of light that extends far into the distance as we get it to turn around and then we have a giant spinning pencil going through a pipe as it goes through the pipe let's make a huge jump let's go up to a goomba that is 5 000 times as wide as a normal goomba here's spotlight this is a program that is used as a level editor for super mario 3d world and bowser's fury just so we could see how far this goomba extends the pipe in world 1-1 that normally takes you to the stamp in this level is normally stored to the left of the main level here and we can see that the goomba extends far beyond that the goomba extends far out of bounds past this level to the left if we continue to the right instead from the start of the level the goomba pierces through a lot of the ground in the level and it extends far out of bounds to the right as well once we enter the actual game this is what this goomba that's 5 000 times as long as normal will look like if you'd like you can send a screenshot of this to a friend and ask them how many goombas are in this picture here is a goomba that is 1 million times as wide as normal if you step back and turn the camera to the right you can see that the goomba extends out really far into this level at around 2 billion times as wide as normal the goomba starts to become a bit glitchy like this at 10 billion times as wide as normal things get even weirder this isn't even a goomba anymore this is an unstable portal to another dimension now let's go up to 1 trillion times as wide as normal what will a goomba that's a thousand billion times as wide as a regular goomba look like and behave like we have a really wide goomba and the game is really glitchy now you can see that a lot of the lighting here is all wrong if you move the camera over you get this weird assortment of flashing lights but if you turn the camera the other way the goomba isn't loaded on the screen and the corsa's lighting goes back to normal when the camera is like this and when you switch the camera back you get this glitchy lighting again if you try to go anywhere close to this goomba you get all kinds of crazy fast flashing lights and once you defeat the goomba everything goes back to normal if this goomba isn't broken enough let's see what 999 trillion times as wide as normal will look like for a goomba this goomba is already looking glitchy and broken in spotlight so let's load up the game and see what it looks like in an actual level we made the goomba so wide that it doesn't even appear some of the lighting in the level is a little weird and if we get close to the goomba you can see the little dust particles on the ground showing that the goomba is running in place here but there's no goomba to be seen because it's too wide if we try bringing this goomba over to the pipe we get some glitchy graphics when the goomba travels through the pipe this goomba has really been on quite the journey and it almost feels weird to see a normal sized goomba after all of this let's make some goomba pancakes now here is a level 1 goomba pancake and it gets even flatter when mario jumps on it here's a level 2 goomba pancake wider than before it also enjoys going through pipes and my goodness it takes up a lot of space when you flatten it let's keep going here is a level 3 goomba pancake not only is this goomba pancake wider but it is also thinner vertically the nice thing about this goomba is that it acts like an umbrella here protecting mario from the sun and the rain here is a level 4 goomba pancake just look at that face look at it exploring around the world seeing it go through the pipe is pretty great my favorite thing about this goomba going backwards through the pipe is that when it goes backwards you can see the bottom part of the goomba also spinning around and we have a nice comparison to a regular sized goomba that is nearby here is a level 5 goomba pancake as we continue to stretch the goomba and this one is almost big enough to reach us right from the start of the level [Music] here is a level six goomba pancake and oh my goodness we could see the eye of the goomba so closely when we start the level it's like the goomba's eye is watching us when we start this level and we are trapped under the goomba here luckily if you tilt your camera in a certain way the goomba disappears until you get close enough to it again it's really difficult to see where you are and where the goomba is when you're walking in a sea of goomba-ness but i somehow managed to lure this goomba pancake into the pipe and here's what happens if this goomba pancake wants to go through the pipe time for thick goomba my favorite thing about thick goomba has to be how its eyes open wide right as it goes into the pipe it's like the goomba is coming to the sudden realization that it's too big for this pipe but it's too late because it's getting sucked into the pipe already and these goombas can get big really big here's the goomba scaled up to 10 times as big as normal it's always a treat to see large goombas spinning in pipes here's a goomba that's 50 times as big as normal and this is what it looks like in spotlight once we enter the actual game here's what the 50 times as big as normal goomba looks like at 50 times as big as normal even luring the goomba over to the pipe doesn't help us much with being able to see it because of how large it is here's a goomba that's 75 times as big as normal yes that's the bottom part of the goomba that we are seeing there things start to get a bit messy when it tries to go through the pipe and things go back to normal in the course after we take out this goomba i tried making the goomba 500 times as big as normal i was wondering why the goomba disappeared then i started scrolling out and i saw this and yes that is the whole map down there that is how big this goomba is compared to the entire map when you load this up in the actual game all that you can see with certain camera angles is the bottom of the goomba's feet off to the sides and when this large goomba goes through the pipe we see some really strange lighting changes but not really any of the goomba itself i made the goomba one trillion times as large as normal in all dimensions and here's what happened when we started the level again there's lots of flashing lights and the lights are behaving very strangely if we turn the camera all the way to the left the goomba isn't loaded so the lighting is normal the goomba is so big that the space between the goomba's legs is so far apart that we can't even see its feet and this might show the scale of just how large this goomba is here is a goomba that is 1 000 goombas tall let me show you how far up this 1 000 goombas tall goomba goes you'll notice that the level keeps getting smaller and smaller but this goomba is still extending upwards this is how high a goomba that is scaled to only 1 000 times as high goes imagine stacking 1 000 of these goombas that are 1 000 goombas high on top of each other that's how high 1 million goombas would go and if you stack 1 million goombas that are 1 million goombas high on top of each other you'll get a height of 1 trillion
