good morning so we are getting ready for the adoption appointment getting paperwork all sorted who are y'all working on paperwork paperwork paperwork paperwork we have a nine o'clock at 9 15 a 10 15 and 10 30 11 30 11 45 then we get our lunch and then we have a 1 15 a 1 30 and a 2 45 [Music] so and we did um get some confirmations one two three four five five of them com confirmed so but we don't know until we see him right so anything can happen flat tires forget you know just whatever so anyway is that it i think so hey y'all it is our falling in love adoption event and it's raining i'm a little chilly but hey we're gonna have a great day we're gonna get some horses adopted i think we've just got about every adoption appointment um filled for today so it's awesome um and i think there was only one that said they couldn't make it today so we're gonna get a lot of horses and donkeys adopted out today and we are so excited even though it's raining a little bit dreary when it's raining here and there's a lot of outside noise it makes filming and audio really difficult so we're gonna do our best media team we got you we're gonna try our best and we're gonna we're gonna plow through today and it's gonna be a good day these people actually came out like i think a couple weeks ago and they looked at tg and they decided to get sidon instead and they went home and couldn't stop thinking about him so they're back for our adoption event to get him well you can be working with maddie again today corey good you have a new name in mind for him we're probably going to leave it initial with tg but probably turn it to tough like off of eight seconds yep yep just be a little tough guy here [Music] [Applause] all right they are back to adopt tg [Music] just gonna put this together for you here all right so you've been through this before this is tg's microchip information his coggins everything's sticking his health record that from here okay um this is your contract that you just signed for tg with your um first rider refusal and your adoption contract there's an upside down sorry about that and then that's the microchip how to get it into your name okay all right let me just have this little bag thank you so much for your support and for adopting from us absolutely have a great day thank you so much you're welcome so a few weeks ago we decided to come out we took a look at sidon and tg and we actually ended up leaving with sidon but after getting home we thought about it for about a week or so and i couldn't give it up so we finally got back with these guys and have decided to bring home tg as well so now we can reunite the half brothers our nine o'clock appointment is just finishing up they are filling out the paperwork and they are adopting tg they're about ready to load him up our next appointment is already here so how our appointments are working today is they're about 30 minutes apart from each other we have two trainers maddie and jesse they are absolutely amazing so one works in the arena one works in the round pen so that we have more adoptions going on at one time and we get more horses homes [Music] good job buddy [Music] tg thinks that he's too big to fit on the trailer but he's not just got all the screenings and uh liability and the um filming release and i'm gonna refill the little box out here so people can sign in when they get here jesse to the rescue see if she can help load tg [Music] tg finally loaded up it took a little bit but now he's off to his new home beside him we're so happy that they came back to adopt him so that way sidon has a friend this is sarah and jesse and they're going to help you um this is wildfire with wildfire okay and is this a senior horse yep yeah i'm i'm not interested in seniors i'm the reason i'm here is because i have to semi-retire my current riding horse who's a senior okay and so i don't want to get into where i'll be retiring a horse yeah i understand that i don't have a whole lot of information to go off of but my chica she just she doesn't want to oh i want you to get the right horse i want gated i want gated i want you know early finish or under um i'm okay i have a trainer i work with every week so um a little tune-up type of thing a little tune-up is fine and must load must load so we have some nice ones in quarantine right now that we might be able to find one up there yeah come next month david loves the donkey my donkey is like a real-life eeyore and you can just love and cuddle on him and he rides the baby but he's old this one's cute and curious yeah sarah bring the grain and he'll come eat out of it come here and the donkey's saying hi look at that she came from a neglect case come here little loves come here little loves come here hi you decide i'm okay you decide i'm okay come on there you go you want to take that one home yep you gotta put your hand flat look at that you want to take that one home no you like that one what's that that's a microphone i want it i love it i you want to wear it on your neck on it let's leave that alone i want it you can keep an eye on our website when they're available too so i mean so unfortunately we didn't have what she was looking for she was looking for something that is around 10 years old gated which we don't have right now unless it's a young baby that's not started so she's going to keep an eye out on our website and watch for horses that we post and she's gonna be able to come out and see some that she might like that's gonna be a perfect fit this is shania this is maddie and she's gonna help you from here out and then if you decide you want to adopt i'll see you in the office thank you so we pulled kai out for you we saw that you had we're interested in her yeah so she's 22. she has some arthritis and different i think it's her fat locks is what we found all right so she just light riding like easy to go inside she definitely needs like that mental job also when you do get her up on her low but does she just like awkwardly do it comes she bucks going into it so then we noticed like we worked at it for like several weeks with no results and then when we did the x-rays they said that that would be like they said that was self-explanatory going up into it you can tell when she's in the past or two she's very real reluctant going into the loaf just on her gotcha how long has she been here i believe they came in what the end of july i'm pretty sure i think july so not a super long just a couple of months [Music] she's pretty sweet i'll let her ride her too [Music] what do you think you want to adopt is kyah one kyle yes i like her if you like her [Music] all right they're gonna adopt kaya all right how exciting okay adoption event so her normal fee would be 450 um which would be waived but um for our event we were taking donations so so jesse how's uh how's the adoption day going so far pretty good i think we've only missed one appointment because someone didn't show up so that's good and it stopped raining for a little bit here so yeah the sun's coming out this blue sky a little humid who's uh who's been adopted out so far do you remember uh let's see tg and kaya the gene kai yep and this is this is kaya oh this is fire yeah so they're getting ready to load her up i am i guess [Music] yeah it goes raining off and on but it's like oh beautiful oh all right so this is maddie you're going to be working daddy today so she's not started she was just a broodmare and dahlia she's very easygoing when i got on her i felt her back punch a little bit but not anything unsafe i mean when she came did she have any issues other than her only issue is this front uh right leg we've x-rayed it twice and nothing comes up it's just soft tissue but we've x-rayed it we've tried wrapping it to get it down and nothing's really done anything she's not lame on it she's writable yeah i'm not going to be like riding her like a ton either so just we have some small trails through the back of our property like i said when i first got like when we evaluated her the only thing i've noticed there's her back punched a little bit when you got on to walk around but i think she's just had time off right right they're going to look at dahlia who they're currently looking at and then corey and jesse went to go catch rue they also want to see him as well i told him see you say no and then you pushes me he instigates it oh yes yes yes you need to get your phone out and get a little picture mike oh my gosh oh my gosh you want to come home with us yeah [Music] looks like her her right rear leg is a little weak is this a little wonky yeah we we got a lot of ex big lick horses too that they're like their hind ends will be yeah they should need some strengthening yeah do you want a lead rope and i don't know how much handling he's actually had in the past you never know like when we have our intake from the auction sometimes they come in and they're like these jittery like don't want to stand still and then they come down here after quarantine and they're a completely different horse she's pretty she's a pretty sweet horse she definitely is definitely there's rue so do you want to look at rooney next or do you want to look at ima uh hello buddy we could do rodeo yeah hello buddy so the other ones are not halter broke at all he's the only halter broke one have all right i think we're i think i definitely want to see ima and then uh we'll decide what we want all right good boy bud he's pretty though yeah he is i really thought he was pretty he's a good looking meal yeah i'm gonna pull her out cory if you want to put him in here so miss broodmare here she looks a little on the heavier side she could use a weight loss program yeah she's lost a little bit of weight since being and she wasn't found early no anything nope but i don't think she's going to be a hard one i was just going to say is she a dominant horse do you know she's already in the middle so do you just want to adopt aima or do you want to adopt rue also i have to talk to my husband see what he thinks we're going to the muse we're going to go see blue blue is the bigger one right here she's three years old what do you think mike are you interested in a mule instead of ima kind of yeah yeah kind of yeah i think emil would be good but this one she's not halter or anything you'd have to get her over to trays right away yeah we'd have to get her train you gonna come home with us pretty girl you excited ima she's so pretty [Music] they're going to adopt ima i'm so happy to get ima though okay so during our adoption event all the fees are waived but we are taking donations ima's normal adoption fee would be 450 you're welcome to donate whatever you would like for her and then that's your adoption contract here i'm so sorry hello i'mma here oh i can't wait she sure did thank you much for coming thank you we so appreciate it and then so we'll just keep in touch through facebook is that the best way or i just like to post little updates oh yeah yeah yeah and you can send uh updates to adoptions okay the adoptions okay so photos and updates and then we'll forward those the media team and then they will make posts [Music] yeah so i found out about horseplus humane society through youtube and i love their videos sometimes they're really sad but i'm really um i watch them every every time they come out and i just realized i had to help you know at least if i have the room you know i'm going to do it so i'm so happy to find ima i'm really happy that she's going to go to a really great home and forever home we'll go in this way i have them in the back of the barn here so we have dusty on the right he's the darker one then waylon's a little guy and skinny's in the back there i'm gonna grab the grain they're super friendly for that go romano know we're not terribly far so [Music] i'm gonna go make a note on your application so i remind myself yeah we just had an adoption appointment they came out and looked at all the donkeys that we had they were very interested in one of the horses that we have in quarantine so we're just going to make a note for that they're going to come back and hopefully look at that horse when they come back and you never know they may take a donkey home with them too [Music] what i would really like to do quite honestly is get the whole donkey thing out of the way because that's the priority okay so we can get the donkey thing resolved then you know what inside if you want more so we have three available currently um they're all behind here so i'll get them out you like your ears we've got a couple i would say out of the three of them he's the most he's the friendliest like gentle and like if we're moving them between pastures and stuff waylon and dusty are really good about going through the gate if you want to grab a halter i'll throw one on them right now [Music] all right they're going to adopt dusty and dennis so that's the adoption um contract and the first rate of refusal so first route of refusal if we decide he's not working we'll give him back to you but that won't happen yeah we are so thankful that you guys came so far we're excited to adopt from us and thank you so much for your support and we hope you enjoy dennis and just live a long life with you guys i know i hope so too [Music] hey um we found out about horse horse plus on facebook actually and started looking at it and decided that we needed a little donkey to be a friend of our donkey that we already have and then when he saw when my husband saw dennis we also wanted to look at him and they're both so cute so we love what you guys do we want to support you and we hope we keep these two little babies for a long time dusty and dennis just got adopted dusty's gonna go be friends with a little jenny donkey they have and dennis is going to be for their grandkids so we're so excited for both of them muffin is one of our senior mules she is super super sweet she actually does ride and she is looking for her forever home in the middle of our adoption event the post office called us up and said hey we have two big carts full of packages for you so i have to leave what i'm doing and go to town to get all the packages it'll be very interesting to see how many packages we actually have and what they are but y'all are so amazing sending all the amazon wishlist items and we also you know get things that we need for the shelter so we're almost to the post office and see exactly how many packages there are it's gonna be crazy and we made it there's actually so many packages they wanted me to pull around to the back of the post office so we can get them loaded up [Music] well it's not uh not the most packages we've ever had to pick up but it's a pretty good load this time so get them back to the shelter and uh get up on facebook live sometime and now it's back to the shelter to hopefully be able to help out with the adoption event or edit some more video or whatever needs to be done back there actually i guess i'd better back up to the door here save ourselves several hundred steps with all these packages looks like corey found out there was uh me to help and unload boxes and he's gonna come give me a hand we got packages i don't know where we want them all but we got them they're not heavy just bulky and this is the last of them so we're going to uh open up the ones that we ordered and see what we got titan is one of our senior buildings he was surrendered back to us just this week and he is looking for his forever home he needs some more weight and he rides really well he's a super gentle giant it's so cute this is april she's had a little bit of a cough so we're checking that and then getting x-rays of her knees for arthritis yeah uh i just do what jesse says no she's got a call if i heard her coughing a couple of times uh her lungs sound pretty clear so and i didn't hear anything there i wish we had an x-ray machine i don't think anybody makes one that can consistently x-ray through a horse chest which would be important but her lungs sound pretty good so maybe it's allergies maybe one and i love tennessee favorite state in the union but man we got the allergies bugs all kinds of pollen so i don't know she may do okay somewhere else but she got some arthritis there there not too bad a little nice speculation for uh a tendon attached let's do us a side shot it doesn't look too bad she's got some arthritis starting but it's not too bad yet do you want to do her fat lock yes ma'am while we're here let's do it just stay on the left [Music] i love this little x-ray machine me too oh wow look at that that might be where her problem is yeah can you shoot from that lock we got a bony prominence right all of that is not supposed to be there it's supposed to be round just right there that's crazy can you feel it yeah that's big that's a bony palm that's right where right where a tendon insertion is it doesn't look as weak there but she's got some remodeling of the i forget what that bone is right now but it's being remodeled i don't know what i'm supposed to say sarah that looks pretty bad right now my little brain's going what can we do to fix that if we can i'm gonna have to think about that for a minute she doesn't look that old i'm not sure she's 20. yeah behind them last time she she's when she walks there seems to be like you know you're trying to have a short window to look at them and her legs look good i i don't see any swelling of course there's a couple nicks over here but she doesn't move her back at all so and seems sore so i'm worried about her back almost more than a leg problem ninety percent of the problems are in the lameness are in the hawks and below but something's telling me to look at her back so we're gonna get an x-ray of her back yeah yeah i'd go with 13. that's she looks miserable for 13. she seemed sort of stiff all over even wondered pondering some of the crew was pondering if it was a central nervous system problem but she seems pretty alert but she does seem to just be sort of achy just all over we tried to get x-rays of her back and i didn't you know it's hard to get x-rays of back of a horse but i didn't see anything really wrong there but you know it could be anywhere from the neck to the back and just want to see what she does on anti-inflammatories for a while see if there's any improvement so let's put her on some pretty heavy dose see if she gets any better she does not i don't give me time to think about it i feel like he's he's he's like he's a muslim and i'm gonna poke a picture but obviously facebook is not working all day you can't get in to get a picture [Music] it's a conspiracy so i'm just afraid that there's something more internal going on that's why he's not [Music] i'll just do regular blood work on it see if we got anything there why he's not gaining weight you can check his teeth go for it before we do blood work he's that's got such a droopy lip we can do him a little good he's got some spikes [Music] we're good i think we're in better shape than we started so i don't know if you guys remember the paint that was laying down at our last auction rescue but that is kitschy the one that um doc is looking at currently he has a really bad wound on his right leg and his left hoof um i and jesse have been doctoring it every day ever since he came in um he seems to get a little bit better and then he seems to get a little bit worse we're very worried about it we've been taking lots of pictures and stuff since sending them to doc so we're hoping that um we can do x-rays and figure out if there's maybe something in it that's why it's not healing up or if there's something else going on with him so hopefully we get some answers today we can we took an x-ray and we could see how deep the cut was in the hoof we're gonna have to take off part of the back of his hoof but the iodine will show up on an x-ray and you can usually see it except for today hang on they sort of filled it in there there's no black thing now last the last one had like the black hole see that little white line that's it right there there are kind it's called contrast media there are contrast media there there's the original yeah see the see the black line that that's the original that's air right there okay [Music] good cannon bone there and see how that it filled it in and it could but it goes all the way it looks like it goes all the way down i i like surgery i feel really bad for kitschy though because you can only imagine how painful this is going to be and we're definitely going to be asking doc for some strong pain meds for him but hopefully this helps him it went well we debrided and uh probably we've got to come up with some way to try to repair his [Music] hoof wall we've given him some good pain meds we injected the wound on his hoof with lidocaine and we um which we inject a lot of it so it's going to be there a while we also gave him extra torbjo's in the tranquilizers which will help out on paint that right there was abandonment there used to be a fence behind me and it was a wood fence is getting old so we are in the process of upgrading it but while we were uh taking down the fencing there's a culvert there and we've always had a lot of issues with the water coming up over the road and stuff when it rains really heavy like it likes to do here in tennessee and the culvert itself underneath the road was um basically gotten shoved back and collapsed and so corey told the county road department about it they're out here working on it digging up the road to put a new culvert in which is right over there and and we have adoption appointments this morning so we're hoping they get it done because the entire road is closed until they get the culvert fixed because it was collapsing under there so hopefully we don't have any more issues with it and i'm glad that it was discovered before our new fence goes end so you never know what's going to happen here i mean you think life's going along just fine and you've come to find out there's a collapsed culvert and the road could fall in so life is always strange the culvert is in we've got a little creek going on through the pasture here our next adoption appointment is here and they have filled out their paperwork i'm going to go out and let them in the gate so they can [Music] start their adoption appointment [Music] hey this is jesse and sarah and they're going to help um hi you with your next commercial we're just going to close the gate this is bonnie hi bonnie hi she says i haven't been in the arena before oh you haven't oh do i taste good and how old is this she's 22 i believe how far away did you guys come from we come from indiana oh okay so that's my roots 400 and some miles you get along with others yeah she does good my marriage can be a little bossy sometimes so she's not oh she's middle she doesn't get pushed around a lot but she's not dominant and so she was just broodmare so she's not ridable right we haven't started her just because of her age yeah well i can't ride right now anyway so yeah [Music] so they're really sweet people and they're gonna think about it talk to her husband and they'd love to take them all but you know some of us only have so much land and they really like dahlia so we're hoping it's a really good home for her she definitely chose them and loved all their attention so this is our cardboard trailer here all the donations that we get we get a lot of boxes so you know got a lot of cardboard i like to typically check it about once a week just see how full we are [Music] huh that shouldn't be in there i'm gonna pop up here and take a look at what's in here well that shouldn't be in there looks like someone's drinking on the someone's job some down home punch so tanner i just found this in the uh cardboard trailer and i checked it last week it was not there this was on our property yes it was and it wasn't there last week nope i checked each other once a week so somebody at horse plus drank this and threw it yep within the last week we have to find out who did it yes we do we have to get to the bottom of this absolutely today let's go talk to jason and tawny and tell them what we found absolutely that's it [Music] we found this corey where did you find it in the cardboard trailer i checked it last week it wasn't in there isn't that alcoholic this is a jack daniels drink contains alcohol there is that here construction really yeah you see him i saw glass balls just like that was that in the pile that you picked up last week okay well we figured it out well who done it been solved by our youngest salute i was gonna say like who is i was gonna say i'm like who is drinking on the job like that's not okay that's not okay for construction workers and drinks correct at least there's no one here we will write a strong worded email to their supervisor yes yes and i just want to point out we do have a no drug and alcohol policy at our shelter for the safety of not only the animals but our other co-workers and our own emotional well-being so i came here today to pick up a urgent care grant that horseplus has generously offered for a horse that we picked up this past week he is in very critical condition we have a lot of video of him that we've been posting he has been locked in a stall for many years and has not received any hoof care whatsoever so his hooves are severely overgrown causing a lot of issues for him so we are working with him on that and we came here today to pick up the grant since we've been having a lot of horses adopted out here recently we also have room to take in a few more horses from the shelter transfer so we're gonna see we can't find some i say we play it safe and just take two back with us and then i'll leave forward for her now where we don't have to worry about this post yeah for which one i would either say the first one that we looked at or the program [Applause] so with the horses that we're taking today and also more horses that we get in that we rescue like the horse that came in this past week you can always follow our tick tock my tech talk is peyton christian or you can go on our facebook page and see our rescues page it is christian farms rescue and rehab that way you can get regular updates of the horses that are being transferred from horse plus to our shelter along with the other horses that we get in so the two that you're going to take today is lance who needs rehab which is awesome because peyton has a really good rehab program at her facility and then petunia who is three months pregnant she's able to take care of her there as well so those are the two that she's gonna take and then the rest you're gonna get transported right yes except for the two cats taking right yes while we were looking around the horses i did happen to see two cats that i kind of fell in love with which is fine because i mean we need barn cats yeah they keep the mice down and either they do they do so muffin the mule and then um titan and then she's also taking three that are out of quarantine that came in at our last auction rescue um she also has a quarantine facility um where she's able to quarantine them as well so she's gonna take um some of them so we're just going to hang them up on the wall so she is taking out of quarantine she's taking athena some of you guys may remember athena she had a wrap on her back leg when we got her from quarantine jessie and i've been wrapping her every day and doc just cleared her yesterday and she's doing amazing she still got a little bit of a spot on the back of her fetlock but she's doing awesome and then she's taking katniss little ponies and then she's also taking kitschy which i know a lot of you guys have fell in love with um we've been doctoring him every day he's been seen by the vet multiple times but uh payton has a stall that's air conditioning everything for him so he's going to live the life at her place so we're very happy that she's able to take him and finish his care there lovely of course out of all of them come on bubba good boy come on baby there you go so they're just taking two right now they're gonna get the other ones transported at a later date um because their trailer's just a little small and some of them are a little too big to fit right now okay so we have the ones that we're taking today load it there are five others that will be coming to us later on so we've got the two that are out of team with us and we've got the two cats with us as well and we are excited to see the others whenever they're able to come later this week what's going on in here well we are getting ready for our trip um coming up tomorrow so we're getting everything packed um for filming for horse rescue heroes season two so we got lots of hard drives we gotta get packed up and when will season two be out it'll be out january the first thursday in january is the plan for it to be published so and then for eight eight weeks uh there on after that so coming in january 2022 so when you got a young one you just take your time make a good experience as you can with them give it a quick dress in i don't want to aggravate the horse so a lot of people when they go to trim a horse that's a little bit spooky haven't been working with much young this is a young horse they walk up to them and they've got the rasp in their hand and they're doing this and every time i do that the horse flinches so what i do is when i walk up to a young colt and this is a young horse i'll walk up to it to its shoulder first connect with it i put my hands on it so it knows me there he can feel me and i don't do this i just keep it down here by my side nice and easy and then i walk down and the whole time i've got my hand on this coat so i'm connected to this horse this horse knows exactly where i'm at at all times and i just slowly work my hands down his leg and i'm not ever i'm not ever losing connection with this horse and when i ease down when i start to pick his foot up i'll just ease it up and i don't try to force it up or jerk it up and i just put my knee under and walk out real slow and there's no tension there i'm not doing anything to hold this horse and if he jerks away that's okay we'll start over not the end of the world he pulls just a little bit while i'm filing it's just to be expected and just because a horse jerks or pulls doesn't mean he's fixing to kick your head off so there's no need to go into a big panic everybody just remain calm yeah so you can have prettiest horses in the pasture but if you don't have any horsemanship about you that's all they're going to be it's something to look at and that's what happens a lot of people while they get hurt they get a big dream about i want to ride this horse just because it's pretty and you know sometimes i need to start out on something that's really broken and will put up with them learning instead of them trying to look good when you got a big man handling a horse you got to have a big horse for him so we're going to we're going to give corey a big horse to hold look at him ain't he pretty yeah look at you somebody please adopt some cats please adopt some cats they need a good home but that's okay it should be without taking a whole lot off at one time but whoever gets this horse let them know if they'll keep it on a regular trimming they will come back and they're maintainable and right now they're really maintainable and just keep them trimmed up on a regular basis and it wouldn't take probably six to eight months you'd really have them looking good so i'm watching crocodile dundee last night and he's got this way with wild animals he walks up to him and he says never seen crocodile undo you're missing out paul hogan's a pretty good actor and so what i'm thinking is for the wild horses we get in i'm gonna learn this aborigine technique and i'm gonna the horse is just gonna slowly go off into la la land but i need caleb to get me some aboriginal music in the background for it i believe that's really what made it work it was the music yeah [Music] i give me a hat like his too so get on that caleb and i believe he's flying too this is angel i believe easy easy you are thank you something look at you look at you so what i'm going to do with this horse is i'm going to take the camera and i'm going to let sarah do it don't want to do it will precious you okay you okay don't kick me with that foot i seen you picking that back foot up so many of you are wondering who is this guy well this is uncle tom he's my manager my bodyguard my advisor and he helps me eat lunch too yeah we go out and eat a lot so now watch pull it back over that's pretty fancy fine bubba you're gonna have to show me how to do that it's really once it all gets tight it locks down yeah but it's a bowling knot it's just called a flying ball really nothing to it you got your tail yeah put your little slack in there in the middle and then the other side flip it around over the top pull it back through back over so you go all you do is pull it back through back to work enough play i get sidetracked i get to sling the ropes around oh look at this pretty thing good gracious what's some feet man look at you he'll probably be 25 next spring everybody should have a phd because how do you live life especially on a farm without having a phd i have two phds i had three but i lost one of them post hole diggers is a must you have to have them there's no way around it nope you know talking about education you'll get an education i don't know if i can do this one or not let's say boom yeah he's pretty wild i got me a shirt and i'm working on a cap okay but i did get a shirt corey was here for 10 minutes and he had the whole wardrobe i've been here for over a year and jason's walking around now talking on the phone watching me this is the treatment i get yeah see so yeah that's what we get it's all gonna i'm gonna hang in there though i'm gonna get the cap too it's better time all right where are we going gate we're going over to the training barn to uh trim another one stay tuned [Music] i guess we fired maddie we have corey's professional horse handler now well she's still the head trainer you just i just do this stuff so they can focus on that you're the head horse whisperer now all right so all in all good day today had one horse that was a little bit jumpy but that all worked out we didn't have to give it a shot do any sedation that's always a plus when we can teach them something all the feet look really good there was no really major issues the last horse we just done i think she's going to get better and better so all in all a good day at horse plus [Music] today we're it's kind of sad travis is going to be moving on from our organization he's been a mechanic in the past and a job opened up for him and it's kind of our job opening process with the job you know fair that we did with our employees because if there's an opportunity for them we don't want to hold them back here with the rescue life rescue life is hard and so if somebody has an opportunity and wants to follow their dreams we want to encourage that so we're going to be saying goodbye to travis and then we also have a birthday um for somebody else so anyways um looking forward to this we're having pizza because that's what we have around here is we get pizza hut pizza so um yeah should be fun [Music] we brought your wife that's a surprise all right travis we are gonna miss you uh and this is a something for you from all of us and uh you have been a great part of our organization and team and um yes we're all gonna all are gonna miss you and it's gonna be the pits without you so that's a good card nice cheese pizza i'm gonna go with this one okay can't forget the palmers are on [Music] [Applause] coda was recently adopted from us and the adoption just was it just didn't work out and now code is back so we're going to work on coda's training and see if we can find a better fit hi i'm good how are you maddie and jessie hey nice to meet you i'll see you guys later if you decide to adopt okay you're welcome bye oh baya okay you were right you were right she definitely does need i would say she still needs work with her picking up all four of her feet and just working on that do you want a longer line or you can also unclip her if you want yeah i think i like her okay take a look at quinn win you know it's get one take two yeah you can take both you can take both of them bringing them out of quarantine usually they're unsettled and then if we let them settle in before we start working them down here sometimes it does them a lot more good so do you guys do western and english that's awesome maddie balances me out on the english side i have i've taken a few english lessons but not terribly accomplished at it so we have her right now when she first got evaluated i had her as an intermediate okay but cory and maddie have ridden her mostly since i evaluated her and they said at this point they'd call her like a confident or an adult beginner type i don't know i haven't been on her since i evaluated her and we were showing her that day oh she almost got adopted but she's here meant to be [Music] i think one yeah ones that are already riding she has the more potential but like not riding then you have a little bit more options she's a little bit more very she still needs weight it has some like skin condition that we've been bathing her with medicated shampoo on she had her feet done by the farrier for the first time today all four feet never once tried to pull a foot away he put them on the stands everything she's 13 also i know where we've got a lot of mules and donkeys too right now oh there's a friend that wants us to look at a donkey oh good i have them up are those long enough for you well i can lengthen them wait wait pause [Music] this is journey she's kind of in the same boat with baya she wasn't that bad habit but she's been awesome since she's been down here we've given her baths feet trimmed everything [Music] i think she's good for the lesson program [Music] quinn yeah for sure quinn and bye bye [Music] all right they're going to adopt quinn okay great well thank you so much thanks it was nice chat with you on the phone it's great to actually see impressions thank you guys okay thank you bye-bye [Music] if i leave [Music] [Music] why don't we do this before we do all that why don't we just see if she loads in the stock trailer without any difficulties and if it's just a ramp if she loads right in the stock trailer and it's just a ramp and that kind of answers it right that she's just scared lindsay did you uh lindsay this is all your fault you're the one that's like i really want journey so you're telling me she's like i'll do everything i'll work with her every day all right guess we to go switch it out all right let me go talk to the office and i'll be right back i know that's what i said she was probably whispering in her ear don't get on don't get on don't load i really want journey you promised every day [Music] [Applause] so they were adopted by it but with the ramp on the trailer she really didn't want to get on we had a challenge so we decided to see if journey would load because they were also really interested in her and she walked on so we're going to work on trailer loading with baya and get her better and hopefully find her a good home too all right back to switch paperwork around all right change of plans they're gonna adopt journey instead we have a farm in alabama and we rescue horses and i actually work in new mexico and i was googling rescue places and you guys came up way out in new mexico and i started doing more and more research about closer rescues to where for some possibilities and that's how i found you guys so then i just started doing more and more research and then um found out you guys like have like a youtube video and started to watch you through that and your all the hard work and everything you do for these horses on the slaughter line and we believe in rescuing so we just kept doing more and more research and got to the point where we were ready to take on two more rescues and decided to do it locally and we have the lesson program so we were actually looking for a warm blood or a draft horse and then via came up and i contacted angela and started filling out the paperwork and getting approved and then we decided to make the trip up so we are i and bia and quinn which we took when and we were going to take uh bia but she wasn't so sure yet about loading up on a trailer so instead of stressing her out we decided to go a journey and one of our trainers fell in love with journey and uh we got a journey well that's so awesome all there she right perfect and journey our a trainer just did she got all emotional she started crying because she was like because she wanted a journey yeah so she was whispering in the ear don't don't low don't load we've had 14 horses ponies mules and donkeys adopted during this event and two cats so it's a huge success we also had almost two thousand dollars raised from this event so we're super excited and all the families that adopted are so excited and we also got to transfer horses to another organization where they're going to be adopted out there so the event was a huge success i hope everyone's enjoyed watching this episode and don't forget to like and subscribe and i will be putting out the next episode which i know you're not going to want to miss so we'll see you later [Music] you
