Hogwarts Legacy - Part 1 - WELCOME TO HOGWARTS

all right welcome back guys what can I say we're finally we're finally here after all the trailers after all the gameplay overviews and reactions and information being displayed here and there we're finally here the day has finally arrived we finally get to start our adventure if you will in the world of Hogwarts Legacy ladies and gentlemen welcome back and welcome to the very first official episode of Hogwarts Legacy before we get started I wanted to give a massive thank you to the entire team over at WB Games for sending us an early access code to this game to be able to prepare videos and get started early here for you guys there is a lot to prepare for I am currently which is something I've never really done about seven hours into the game and now recording the intro for part one and I must say if you are a Potter fan you are you're gonna enjoy this you're gonna get lost in this universe and the world is so far it's pretty massive so there is a lot a lot to do in this game so far something else I don't typically do I don't really ask for a light goal but considering the hype has been so crazy here on the channel for this game if we could hit 20 000 likes that would be awesome and that's it I'm gonna be giving away two copies of this game all you have to do is let me know down below what console what platform drop a like on the video and enjoy so without further ado let's do this dude we are pleased to inform you that you've been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a fifth year student your term begins on the 1st of September preliminary supplies have been collected for you and will accompany you on your journey to the castle as you may be aware the decree of the reasonable restriction of underage sorcery prohibits the use of Magic by those under the age of 17 outside school however due to your unique circumstances the ministry has graciously agreed to allow Professor fig to help you hone your spell casting before scoring you from London to the castle to the start of term feast and the Sorting ceremony yours sincerely Professor Weasley welcome to the official character creation of Hogwarts Legacy very nice okay so let's let's get to creating shall we so we've got obviously a couple of presets we actually have a decent amount of presets and the character creation is not like crazy crazy complex which is good sometimes that's fun but sometimes I just want nice and easy flowing character creations and I think this game really does offer that so this one actually doesn't look half bad these are just presets and then of course I actually like this one yeah I'm between this one here I feel like this one will probably resemble me just a bit more yeah I'm gonna go for this one this looks nice this looks really nice all right and then we've got uh only if I had a nice set of hair then you know I could leave that one but uh yeah so I don't know I might leave this actual face shape second row second on the second row let's see what we got here [Music] this looks so nice on the computer like wow this looks really nice is it changing there we go maybe perhaps I wish we could kind of zoom out should we put some glasses I feel like it's feels kind of odd playing Hogwarts without glasses on and at the end of the day I do wear some myself so I think we can rock with them I do have the black ones I've got these which I could put on kind of go with the vibe a little bit you know sure we'll do that for a little bit all right then we've got the hair I've been really contemplating if if I should kind of go bald in this game I know being bald or just low hair is is a bit boring it's not the most enthusiastic and you know fun exciting experience as far as hair goes well let's see they've got some really really nice detail in the hairs that's one thing that this game did um the hair and this game was just done right there are a lot of games out there that the hair is just absolutely atrocious I think a little nice blush never hurt anybody right maybe a little slight sunburn from exploring the Outer Perimeter of Hogwarts freckles and moles I've got none of that so yeah I think we're gonna go clear here and we've got scars are we adventurous possibly getting ourselves into some trouble here I don't know why it's so unrealistic right like it's very rare to have a crazy scar like this in real life so like when I have the the opportunity to do it in a video game I always go for it okay I really do and so I might I might go for it here too I mean Harry Potter had one why can I right so what the heck like I had a scar like this then I can go here to the hair and I completely change my man's headset to something like this man I look completely evil right now I look like oh look at that yeah that works I like that one and so here we have our voice preset I'm eager to get to hogsmeade I am indeed a student but I could have you I'm eager to get dogs mate you cobwebs and some dust nothing to be concerned about it was wonderful quite something all right cool a few cobwebs and some dust I am indeed a student but I could very well be able to help you mate I like that one so we've got select your difficulty we're gonna go normal and I don't know if we can put hmm if I put Hollow here we're gonna go for hollow we're gonna put Hollow there for last name can we just put X Hollow X yeah my middle name starts with an X so I'm wondering maybe I'd just do that right I think I've gone with this design um I'm just going for like that bad boy sort of look I guess we can say I do have a couple of bald spots but that is part of human nature okay I think I'm going with this yep I I now that I have X in the name I feel like Professor X here at Hogwarts that's hilarious I'm gonna be a wizard though okay here we go start your journey [Music] ah it appears we are almost ready to depart it's a Pity we didn't have a bit more time to spend on spell casting I presume you've been practicing the Spells we worked on I have Professor well I'm quite sure I'd never seen anyone take so quickly to a secondhand wand you'll be a force to be reckoned with when you get your own thank you Professor fig I appreciate you working with me before the topic oh Elias are George bad mine run out of the cryptic description of our location did not thought you're finding us I evaporated to more vaguely to find destinations than this though I confess I may have miscalculated slightly on my first try gave quite the Fright to some theater goers in the West End it's been much too long when I received your owl I must say I best not speak Eleazar why don't we speak we have a start of term feast and a sorting ceremony to get to wonderful idea as long as your young child here doesn't mind me tagging along not at all sir after you dude it looks so good ages since I've been to the castle would be good to see the old pile of rocks foreign on the computer wow the PlayStation 5 looks really good too [Music] Warner Brothers [Music] hopefully we don't have like copyright music in this game or anything crazy like that [Music] I'm so excited this is literally like the biggest game to start off the year it is it's massive we've been waiting for this for so long [Music] glad I caught you before you left for Scotland just barely and who is your traveling companion a new student new yes sir I'm starting school as a fifth year how extraordinary it is indeed none of the faculty has ever heard of anyone being admitted to Hogwarts so late nor have I of course as the other fifth years will have been honing their magical skills for four years now the Headmaster asked if I could get her new student up to speed a bit before the term begins well you couldn't have asked for a better Mentor Professor fig is not only an exceptional teacher he's also a remarkably intuitive and gifted wizard Mr ozric is prone to flattery I dare say it's one of the reasons he's risen so far at the ministry I have opinions differ as to how great a threat Ryan Rock really is although I've yet to convince my colleagues that the ministry I believe he is a significant threat and it was your wife Eleazar who alerted me to his activities months ago Miriam how she wrote to me about Ryan Rock before she died wondering what the ministry knew about his activities before I could respond I received this it was the last thing she sent me earlier it came to me via her owl but with no correspondence I can only assume that she had to get rid of it quickly to keep it safe presumably from ran Rock I cannot open it whatever magic protects this is powerful indeed it looks like Goblin metal that symbol what's that glow I don't see a blow nor do I Merlin's beard how did you wait oh God [Music] my goodness my goodness oh bro these cuttings look so good [Music] you better grab on to that right now okay [Music] saved by the hair on his journey now wow are you all right you're hurt perhaps a bit take this it's Wigan World potion that stuff will write you in a second so we've got the Wigan World potion down on the d-pad to heal I wonder if we can change like haircuts and stuff like that throughout the game you probably can oh George I can't believe he what the hell got into that damn thing attacking a carriage mid-air a typical Dragon would never professor sir where are we I'm not sure but that key you discovered was clearly a Porky Porky an item Enchanted to bring whoever touches it to a specific place I'm feeling better sir if you'd like to look around a bit I would but stay close we have no idea who created this Porky or why all right so this is really smooth I'm not in the open world yet so I'm not I'm gonna try and uh keep my composure here but [Music] so far this feels really smooth we're at Max settings right now too wow look at this how far did that Porky take us farther from London than the carriage traveled we're somewhere in the Scottish Highlands so those ruins the porky was meant to lead us there I do this has not been the day either of us expected but Miriam sent that Porky to George for a reason and I believe that she and now George died in pursuit of whatever it was meant to lead to if you're sure you're all right and wouldn't mind indulging me I'd like to have a look around absolutely sir good let's see it faded it may be wow look at this guys has started the scenery right now is just impeccable my gosh okay Professor let's why do you suppose your wife got the porky that prompters her a good question Miriam spent years searching for evidence of a long forgotten form of ancient Magic Ian magic yes a powerful magic wielded by a rare few that seems to have been lost to time I wouldn't do that too oh nice Castle was built by and is itself a stronghold of that ancient Magic I don't know where she came into possession of the pork keep I'm certain it was to do with that search ah there's the path down below this way sorry let's keep it moving sir why was your wife searching for evidence of Lost Magic Miriam wanted to understand why such powerful magic disappeared from The Wizarding World spoke of the good it could do but magic is no different than any power what really matters is the one who wields it is that so is that ice it's not cold enough here it appears to be a sort of enchantment someone wanted to block this path let's see some of that one work you were practicing focus on the center okay the basic cast and you spell unlocked tap R2 for basic cast get out of here excellent use your r stick to select an active Target some players prefer to select Target to move the Avatar with the same thumbstick disabling can no I think I'm good I do not like that it was a bit rougher than I expected nice bro that's so cool you're one works details [Music] okay so Professor fig and I have traveled to be a Porky to a remote Cliffside this Scottish Highlands and we need to explore the mysterious ruins that we suspect the porky was meant to lead us to all right so then we go ahead and inspect this here Professor it's a mural of some kind perhaps our host was a noted seer interesting yes all right we're gonna go across Professor this statue this may have been his home that's awesome okay hold on yeah we can go here [Music] it is guys just the scenery it's just so dope man look at this that Enchanted crystallized Stone again completely blocking let's find out what's this Professor fig how odd why would someone have conjured that Enchanted Stone here and how is there a room behind it what room I can see anything there's that glow again like the glow on the porky container interact with magic I guess I've got a special hidden talent already what in Merlin's name Audrey's heart where are we I don't believe it wake the we get a lot of this I'm really excited for the whole discovering exploring open world goodness this game has but I want a lot of story I really do hundreds in fact you'll see quite a few on our way to vote number 12. as we speak we just beneath the main lobby the volts you see now are the newest a private entrances to the bank common at Gringotts they almost uncommon only one with greet well for power or both could have arranged for such a service you'll want to take a breath I want that waterfall washes away all enchantments it's a security measure experience the thief's downfall before have you heard these are the lower levels that we're passing now how deep are we going to number 12 was commissioned shortly after Gringos was founded over four centuries ago it resides in the deepest part of the bank settling with quite a distance to go foreign [Music] vote 12. momentous day hmm on your way I wonder how boring that job might be standing there glowing like the clue you saw on the bulky container no darker I saw that same glow in the dragon's color yeah what was that we were just wondering about that Goblin did he washes over the oldest section of the bank where anyone goes there anymore foreign yes we'll keep following the professor when was the last time this vote was accessed a goblin has been stationed at my desk for hundreds of years in that time no one has visited Vault 12. until today foreign thank you for your help [Music] all right let's go and follow him inside what do you suppose we should be looking for I'm not sure sir I wonder if you made my instructions for vote 12 indicate that I am to Grant access to the holder of the key and then close the door wait Professor that was certainly unexpected let me think there must be something here revelio perhaps revelio yes a revealing charm no time like the present let's see what we're missing shall we ready your wand and focus so as I study your wand with the L stick and guide it along the symbol's path to learn the spell press the corresponding input when prompted to accelerate your wands motion along the symbol's path okay look at that oh that is so cool man Rebellion there I saw something move a bit closer and try again just a little bit okay just in case [Music] well that's a start there's that symbol again I don't suppose you see a weight too I do Professor that symbol has the same glow as the one I saw on the porky container if what you can see reveals the way forward then I dare say we are about to discover the secret of this Vault lead the way Don't Mind If I Do [Music] this is no ordinary Vault I suspect we will need to earn our way out of here on our way out [Music] I do but to what end I can't say stay close there will be no disapparating if things go poorly not out of something over Heaven what is it that glow again but on the floor thing is I'm the only one we're the only ones that can see it right [Music] lumos what happened when I moved towards the globe it suddenly seemed as if the ground was swirling about are you all right yes sir I'm fine you seem to have caused the floor to change that statue what statue oh my God I see some sort of statue but only is a reflection in the floor determine how to proceed you're entering the vaults we quickly realized that it was empty saw glowing there must be something to that reflection you're seeing okay so she'll probably interact with it revelio I presume this is what you saw reflected in the floor it is the reflection's still there but the statue's positions don't match wait when you moved the reflection turned in the direction of the light perhaps you should cast lumos oh man here we go let's do this look at how it is to learn this man that is so cool all right you've acquired the wand lightning charm lumos which has automatically been slotted to your spell set it almost creates a light at the tip of your wand to help you see in dark areas [Music] lumos well done nice now the reflection is turning towards me does follow the light oh dude let's go all right should we be careful she's not good hey I'm just a student here please everybody stay calm whoa oh God let's go oh goodness okay here we go hey can you let me do some stuff for Tango uh oh dude oh that doesn't do anything let's go two four basic pass does do stuff oh God [Music] that's right I can roll as well well I wonder if the path we've created may be impossible to follow it will only be impossible for one who cannot see traces of ancient magic as I can your ability to see what others cannot will not be enough possible we are entrusting the one who embarks on this path with Powerful Secrets with knowledge others will do anything to obtain and if we are correct Charles the ritual wizard who completes the trials will have proven themselves worthy of that knowledge and the responsibility that accompanies it we've done all that we can I think those like flashback cutting should be a little here within the castle there's a lot going on but what about outside of the castle that's literally like one of the very few concerns I've got with this game foreign s Legacy guys that was one heck of an intro that was incredible that was truly incredible it was that was like almost an hour just like to introduce you to the game that was cool [Music] oh good we haven't missed the Sorting ceremony I'm no expert but that seems more appropriate now I need to study this locket as soon as I can but first I must contact the ministry they need to know what happened to George and be warned of ran Rock insane insane beautiful look at the pictures on the wall how they move get the detail in this room right now revelio wow can I interact with anything here probably not huh we have a wardrobe can I change clothes here how do I access all that that's probably features that are going to be accessible later on into the story or at least not like in the very beginning right so I mean I'm just I can literally just hang out here for a couple minutes this is beautiful this is really nice [Music] oh man dude what [Music] now which way is the common room oh my gosh the castle is so spectacular so this part of the castle we never were here so I mean this is just completely different than what we played an experienced at the early capture event bro level one lock darn it be different starting home what's in your fifth year yeah it's a little different you know but hey I'm here surviving so I'd recommend you mind your own business don't be gossiping about me on my fifth year everybody's not a complicated spell I should be able to do it non-verbally why is this not working ah oh hello there welcome to Gryffindor I'm Chris today pleasure to meet you Cressida splendidly theatrical arrival to the Sorting ceremony last evening made it in by the skin of your teeth true that your professor thinks protege well I've studied with him yeah I guess we can say we gotta have I'm not sure I'd say that but I did a study with him a little before we arrived blast I was hoping he might have given you some advice on non-verbal casting is that what you were trying to do just there oh yes having a spot of trouble I've mastered the charm using its incantation but this is proving a bit trickier but the graphics look so good on this like right now it's I'm super content with the visual Fidelity of this game so I'm sure you'll get it perhaps you just need a bit more practice your casting needs work I'm gonna be nice it's my first day here and I'm already being talked about a whole lot so don't worry we'll get it in the end oh I hope so it should be very impressed I'm just going to keep at it [Music] that's the spirit is it really that difficult to cast them verbally oh yes yes you don't get it your results can be shall we say awkward once I tried to cast to pulso non-verbally on a goblet in the Great Hall and ended up launching Professor Sharps Yorkshire pudding into his face he was not happy do most students know how to cast non-verbally not at all Hogwarts doesn't teach non-verbal casting until the sixth year and even then many struggle with it I'm simply trying to get ahead of the game what an overachiever good for you well good luck with it it was nice to meet you Cressida you as well enjoy your first day feels good to be the new kid on the Block dude this is insane like look at my goodness I think she is anyway all right so how do I speak to this courageous young lady up there I'm sure there we go why is everyone so highly strung it's perfectly safe well hello don't mind me I find it helpful to change my point of view now and again put things in perspective quite literally once I made it to the top of Gryffindor Tower from the outside without a broom goodness thing I'm Nelly by the way Nelly ogspire I've heard rumors about what happened to you on your way to Hogwarts is it true about the Dragon yeah it was pretty terrifying it was nothing I could in hand yeah obviously I'm you know what it's getting a little cocky you know why not it is true but I we handled it very well aren't they I think you've already earned a reputation for fearlessness it's hilarious anyway you've certainly brought some much needed excitement to Gryffindor and Hogwarts for that matter I like it here so why are people [Music] what are people saying about my travels here what exactly are the rumors about my journey to Hogwarts uh that you escaped a dragon attack isn't that enough most of us arrive by a train or boat not having just escaped the jaws of a dragon of course it's got people talking word travels fast at Hogwarts [Music] I take it you're not afraid of heights [Music] something I've always done since I was little my mother once found me on the roof when I was five still has no idea how I got there but with all the strange hallways and rooms in the castle and everything lurking in and outside the grounds you don't need to scale a tower to see something incredible here really I'd imagine most students have never seen a dragon have you goodness no and I've never heard of one attacking a carriage like that not enough meat in a carriage I'd think I'm sure I'll be seeing you around either in our common room or when you scale your next Tower you never know bye for now [Music] Okay so introduce yourself to Gareth it's gonna be the last dark arts as the name implies focuses on how to defend oneself against the evils that lurk Beyond these walls a Mastery of defense against the dark arts is required for those who aspire to become auras fortunately we are lucky to have the ever gifted Professor Heckert in charge of our students education in that regard you mentioned hogsmeade Professor hogsmeade is the only all Wizarding Village in Britain Britain and is home to an array of shall find all of the school supplies you require in hogsmead you will also I imagine enjoy many a butterbeer there with friends in your course thank you professor a lot to absorb on your first day and you have much to learn happily your professors have agreed to create additional assignments for you outside of class you'll be up to speed in
