Helldivers 2 TESTING New Armor Changes! Which Armor Is The Best?

all right so today's patch on Hell divers brought a bunch of new changes and fixes to the game one of those fixes being the armor rating in the game and it actually working now so in this video I wanted to test out each one of the armor sets and basically just see how much damage is mitigated so before we jump into the video I'm giving away a copy of the game all you have to do to enter is my Discord who are active in the hell divers chat so come and join my Discord um but yeah obviously there are different types of armor in the game you have the 50 armor rating you have the 100 armor rating you have the 150 armor rating and the 2 200 armor rating chunker uh we're going to be testing each one of these armor sets in the game um this is just sort of like a rough testing I didn't test every single enemy in the game that would just take way too long if anybody wants to go do that feel free in this video I basically just tested it with one enemy so we can sort of just get a rough comparison of the damage mitigation so starting off with the first armor set the light armors this gives you 50 armor rating in this example we using the sc30 Trailblazer Scout in the uh stats page for this it says only has 50 armor rates so we're going to be testing it on some bugs we're going to be using the scavenger enemy and that's going to basically be the enemy throughout this entire video we're going to be testing the damage on so let's jump into it so I basically just went to the planet and I just let the bug hit me and I basically just seed how many like hits I could take and we just sort of get like a rough estimate at the end so it kind of looks like the 50 armor rating let you tank around three hits now you have to keep in mind that the bugs and even the automatons can crit when they hit you so this won't always be 100% accurate sometimes I would get like two shot which basically means the bug crit me so that won't be entirely accurate but the rough estimate I managed to get for the armor rating 50 armor was around three hits from a scavenger bug bear in mind as well I am testing on the easiest difficulty um it won't make any difference if you're on Hell ey have difficulty there'll just basically be more enemies now when you're on a easy difficulty you don't take less damage when you're on hell diive you don't take more damage it's all the same the only difference is the amount of enemies that spawn so the difficulty won't have a factor but yeah around three hits for the light armor now moving on to uh the medium armor we are going to be using the cm14 physician this has a 100 armor rating and yeah we basically just started testing this it seems to be that this one was taking around like three and then sometimes I'd get like five and then like six but it looked to be around four to five hits in total for the 100 armor rating so yeah we're getting higher and higher now moving on to the 150 armor rating armor we're using the B1 Tactical this has a 150 armor rating and we tested this a bit we were getting quite a few hits on this this one was kind of sort of uh decent we're getting like seven hits sometimes um but yeah I think it worked out to be around 4 to seven hits to actually kill you from a scavenger bug now obviously scavenger bugs aren't the main Menace In the game but hopefully by doing this it sort of gives you a rough idea how much damage you can tank and then finishing up we actually used the chunker set the B27 fortified Commando and this actually has 200 armor rating yes this does exist a lot of people didn't even realize this was actually a thing you can have 200 armor rating I'm pretty sure there isn't a 250 armor rating but let me know but yeah this one was an absolute Beast uh I was able to tank like consistently like seven hits and occasionally I would get crit as well but yeah I think it turned out to be around seven to eight hits and I think I actually took nine hits at one point so yeah that was pretty insane yeah just wanted to do this little quick armor testing video um if anybody in the comments does like a sort of more in-depth one with maybe a tomons as well or even the bigger enemies let me know it's just kind of difficult to obviously go and test it on the same enemy over and over again because then I would have to go and obviously switch armor sets and yeah it's kind of a a little hassle to do but feel free to obviously go and try it yourselves but yeah this is sort of the rough estimate so a little recap so the armor level 50 gets you around three hits the armor level 100 gets you around 4 to five hits uh the armor rating 150 gets you around 4 to 7 hits and and armor rating 200 gave me around 7 to 8 hits so yeah hope you guys enjoyed the video be sure to come
