Helldivers 2 MISSING Patch and SUPER Rare Armor!?

where is the patch hello everybody and welcome to the channel so there should have been a patch today or at least if we go off the timeline of when patches are actually deployed we generally get them every Tuesday around 10 a.m. BST which is the UK time at the moment the summer time um that's generally when they come out but we don't actually have a patch yet that's not to say a patch isn't coming at some point but honestly I was looking forward to a patch cuz I think we du a bit of a balance patch I think some of the weapons need looking at so it would be quite interesting to see what they come up with but yeah there's no patch so I'll keep you guys updated when I can but yeah let's uh let's move on to some funky news though we have got yet another potential illuminate sighting now the jewelry is still out on this stuff is it just a bug it's probably just a bug but we're rolling with the uh potential this could be illuminate snipers taking shots at the Pelican as it comes in now you'll see the blue lasers like what is going on that is not a weapon in the game that we've got access to is this the illuminate are they firing at Hell divers once again and let's keep things blue for a while because have you ever seen blue armor in the game now I've seen this a few times and I'll be honest I was totally confused I was like what is this where is that coming from is it some sort of achievement armor no actually it's the rarest armor in the game I'm going to show you where this comes from so hell iers threw out a tweet yesterday and said it has come to the attention of super Earth High command that the official Sumi Corporation frozen yogurt salesmen have been deliberately targeted while on the battlefield this man is your friend he fights for your freedom Liberty and Frosty Treats and I was like what what are they talking about and there was a picture of this guy now this is the Sumi armor it is the blue armor now there's only one way you can get this armor and in fact you get a bunch of other different armors as well and uh well allow me to show you these things this is the tr9 Cavalier of democracy the TR7 ambassador of the brand because it's the sui Frosty yogurt brand and the tr62 Knight these are actually pre-order armor bonuses for hell divers too so as you can see here from the Wiki page it is promotional armor made by sumic Corp as part of a highly successful marketing campaign for frozen yogurt and it's only available as a pre-order so you cannot actually get this anymore you needed to have pre-ordered hell divers 2 and I know a lot of people are kind of a little bit annoyed with this because well they only really became aware of Hell divers 2 after the game launched and I guess I was one of these people as well um so it would be cool if they actually brought this armor back but then again you know what the people that pre-ordered hell divers too they should have some unique because well they pre-ordered the game it shouldn't just be available for everybody to buy should it so you can see both sides of the argument but I think this is kind of like a little cool thing there but yeah I it's actually my favorite color that is as well so uh I would love to be able to get hold of that armor so let's jump over to Discord now and we do get quite a lot of responses from Community managers to questions that are being being asked in the official Discord so if you do have a question honestly I'd go and join the Discord and just drop them in it's not likely your question is going to get answer because obviously there's like thousands tens of thousands of messages going into that thing every hour but there is a chance and obviously you know I'll pick them and highlight some of them um in videos when I see them because these are official responses from the uh the game development team essentially now this is a response from a community manager uh from twinbeard about Liberation efforts being finished and it's actually kind of interesting this is so this is what he says okay so what you xanos and some other players are saying is that the most negative feeling about the galactic Warfare or rather Liberation process I guess is the underlying system where the total player count in the galaxy is basically all that matters and that it outweighs effort done by smaller percentage wise anyway groups you feel that if for example 10,000 players try to defend the planet and 200,000 don't you feel punished by that which in turn creates a bad Vibe splitting Liberation process by parts or planets I think is interesting personally but I'd imagine it' take rebuilding the whole Rel Liberation process or the whole Liberation process system if devs think it's a good idea I'd be happy to balance it with Joel though so this actually got me thinking yeah you know what the way that we conduct the galactic War at the moment it the advice is simple if you want to take part in it in the most effective way possible you go and complete missions and operations on the planet with the most hell divers that's literally it there is no other going to a different planet has no impact on the major order or no impact on the galactic War at all because yeah you've got reasons for going to other planets you could just like the vibe of a certain Planet you like the biome you want to fight the enemies on a certain Planet instead of completing the mission order but this got me thinking you know wouldn't it be interesting and I think this would be a super cool feature but if there were certain missions you could complete and they rewarded potentially higher Liberation like extremely difficult missions or maybe even just running hell dive difficulty actually rewards more um Liberation to the planet potentially I don't know but then maybe that diminishes everybody else's efforts and I'm not sure but this is an interesting Dynamic I think because this is what's going to happen I think for the the immediate future anyway whereas the galactical order and the major order I guess in the galactic War all that matters is's going to the planet with the most players doing anything else is literally a waste of time in what through the the lens of wanting to progress the galactic um why do I keep calling the galactic order it sounds amazing the galactic order it's not the galactic order but honestly going to any other planet that doesn't have the most player base on is literally almost throwing the major order but the thing is obviously the game isn't just about the major order the game's about having fun go and do whatever you like and I'll always and forever say that run whatever load out you want and go to whatever Planet you like but it is an interesting thought isn't it players are starting to feel like maybe they're wasting their time on planets where there's no hope of any Liberation progress and a little bit more info on the galactic War so twin beard says that's one of those detailed questions you know I can't answer this is somebody asking about the future of of the galactic War however since the war goes back and forth and wouldn't be much fun if one side just steamrolled the other and then we ran end of game credits things will adjust there will be catastrophic events reinforcements additions we'll lose things important to us we'll laugh we'll die we'll avenge and we'll have a shitload of fun I hope and yeah this is what's going on with the Galactic War isn't it there's very much a back and forth I think at the moment this is I don't want to use the word disappointing but I guess I've just used it so I'm going to roll with it it is a bit of a disappointing major order at the moment cuz it's kind of bland it's just like okay all these planets are now available to attack you can either try and defend from the bugs try and defend from the Bots yeah just go and have fun for four or 5 days that is like it's not as narratively driven as some of the other major orders have been where they're very focused it's like go and do this go and do that so I can see where some people are getting a bit frustrated but obviously we can't just have those orders nonstop but yeah it is good news to hear that you know there will be more catastrophic events and all of that happening in the future which I think goes without saying to be honest honestly I want to be here for the day super Earth gets invaded cuz that'll be That'll be amazing so communication is a big deal with hell divers 2 and there's a lot of communication over on places like Discord over on Reddit over on Steam and and even on Twitter as well or X but not actually in the game and players are actually asking questions about this going well why haven't we getting these updates in the game and again we've got this response here from Twin bid he says we're discussing other platforms and ways of communicating there are many ways that could work screen in game that would be awesome bulletin in game that would also be awesome or in a menu that would also be awesome an official Reddit the subreddit is not as per se which I'm not to be honest you don't need an official Reddit that's just like leave the Reddit that you've got let the community and the mods run that there's always a lot of you get a lot of difficulty when you start getting the game company running reddits and things like that it's not what you want cuz Reddit needs to be a place for discussion uh not control but I guess probably what he means here is like an update Reddit you know where there's just official post and that's it maybe because of course Arrowhead don't really have like their own forums I suppose to use like a blizzard analogy where they had their own forums to kind of control that but anyway or simply being on the current subreddit more which I think it' be a better idea or a newsletter Etc again this is due to us being overwhelmed by the success of the game we're still playing catch-up we're getting there slowly but it's a timec consuming and resource heavy process and this is what I love about this game right they they are still they are real with the community they're telling us how it is this game has exploded they're struggling to deal with it but they're trying to get there and they will get there in time and that's great that's all we need to know right
