maintain one one thousand one one 11,000 presidential 69 hey what's up guys Shawna John here living the corporate pilot light we're on the climb out right now it just left Teterboro de New Jersey on our way up to across the North Atlantic and then into Paris France we've got something like nine days in Europe something like that days in here a couple couple different spots over there we do Paris then London and Amsterdam and then Brussels if I have it correct Brussels is the last one and then then we come back to Teterboro here next week so hang out with us a little bit we're gonna shoot some video show you guys the the process for a crossing over the North Atlantic and we'll be into Paris should be a little after sunset when we get into Paris so probably just gonna go to bed shortly after that so hang out we'll see a little bit so you would think with as technologically advanced as these airplanes are you wouldn't have to use paper plotting charts to cross the North Atlantic but it's not the case so we actually have our route plotted out here where we're gonna be flying this this top line right here this lower line is actually the westbound track for the people coming back from Europe this morning where we're crossing over in the morning so we're gonna against the traffic so we've got our equal time points right here should we have an emergency we know that if we get beyond that point we can keep going over here to Shannon we haven't crossed that point yet it's quicker to turn around and come back to Gander should we have to turn around somewhere over here we can make it all the way over here to this point of no return and then we could still make it all the way back with the fuel that we're going to have on board so as you can see the the points that we're actually navigating by are mostly latitude longitude we're entering what's called the tree gate here at Elser and then we started doing lat/long we go 50 North 50 West and then 53 north 40 west we cross for equal time points there we go 54 north or 30 west 54 north 20 west and then dugal is our exit gate over here so it's actually not even waypoints like you typically see with with GPS waypoints like I mentioned the tracks here this is a track a all the other tracks are actually south of this the airlines tend to use those tracks a lot more than we do or usually above those tracks this is actually the picture that we have printed out of the tracks you can see abcdefgh JKR down here and then this is our plotted route just a few minutes ago we received our our clearance to go oceanic this is it ATC is clear in presidential 69 all the way to Paris via our track as we've as we've requested Elser then our random route there's our points exiting at Doge all we've got to maintain flight level for one zero which we're going to work our way up to here in just a few minutes and I maintain Mach decimal eight zero so as you can see we've got some pretty pretty thick under cast here today this is actually the remains of a tropical storm that pushed up this way to the North Atlantic so we're gonna go over the top of it once we get over on the east side hopefully we get some clear skies to be able to see the ocean below so Fred seas been back there busy taking care of our VIP passengers she came up here and made us a little snack take a look yummy yummy turkey sandwich so would you like to say hello to everybody Francine yes good morning here from the North Atlantic Ocean we're four hours away from Paris though I think Shawn is behind the wheel this time so we'll see my landings are always wonderful people yeah we hope to have a good time there well we just passed over the proverbial midpoint of the Atlantic Ocean 30 West so we're heading on over we're in shanwick airspace now we've been talking to them for a few minutes they're getting beat up on the chop at four one zero so we decided to make a decent the best we could do was three one zero for the flight level so we came down we got another hour and 56 minutes according to this to get us into Paris we'll be there here in a little while the only problem was coming down to three one zero is now instead of being above all this cloud layer all right in it but the rides are much smoother so we're happy so as you can see we're losing daylight here quick got a beautiful sunset off the wing here take a look hopefully the lights of Paris will be lit up enough when we can show you guys the approach into Paris and the meantime we're gonna lose light so we're not gonna be able to show you too much for a little while so we'll see you in Paris good morning guys we are in Paris as I'm sure you've already noticed we have zero footage of the landing here in Paris I apologize the GoPros had a total glitch and and I got zero footage for it so the good news is I'll be able to show you the departure out of here right now we're walking around the Air and Space Museum at leh Bourget Airport as you can see we got some satellites got all kinds of rockets over here we're gonna take a little walk around and see some different stuff we've got some Conchords I've got some airbus of course since we're in France and we'll see what we got [Music] [Music] well you guys aren't gonna believe what we found we found it to Portland Pirates so we're pretty close to the same grass me about a John [Music] [Music]
