GREEN TIPS WORTH IT???

[Music] hey everybody how you doing this is about to be a really fun video out at the range here today with heavy metal and today we are doing a video with some green tips one of the number one comments i get which is hundreds and hundreds a day is y'all saying how whoopi doo dah you should have used the green tip every time i get out the ar here you should have used a green tip should have used a green tip but today guess what i bought some green tips so we're going to test it out on this body armor let me grab the boxes because i already forget what this is oh and i dumped them everywhere so i'm going to compare this green tip you can see it's got that green paint on it versus this non-green tip and let me show you exactly what they are the non is this pretty standard stuff what's it called frontier from hornady uh what is this uh m193 i can't even read it doesn't say yeah oh 55 grain bullets 55 grain bullet and then for the green tips we got this uh federal and this stuff is 62 grain so first i'm just going to hit this body armor with one shot each i'm pretty sure this stuff is going to stop it all this stuff is uarm rated for aks so this is rated for full metal jacket 762 uh m80 rounds but let me get you even closer on the little deal here there you got it right there where it's telling us it's supposed to stop full metal jacket ak rounds but anyways i think it's going to stop both of these one shot and then we're just gonna start to blast it and see if we can break through this armor but you can see this stuff is some pretty tough stuff and it's supposed to stop aks so these are going much faster than aks i shouldn't say much but they're faster in any case i'm going to set it up here put some cameras on it see if the green tips are worth the extra money in my mind nope but we're about to find out hashtag science let's see what happens all right now i've got that piece of armor right there in all those blocks so it shouldn't be able to move i want to put a camera up behind it like right there looking at the back you all tell me which one of those bullets is the first to make a hole and come out the back of that we may have to shoot it a whole bunch i don't know maybe that green tip stuff uh really has some snuff to it but and to me i don't know that the green tip's worth the extra money that's nothing cheap especially if you're trying to buy a whole bunch out but check it out i'm gonna do one of each and then we'll step it up and the quantities and do a little bit more but y'all pay close attention i'm not going to be able to see it back but i'll have a camera on the back of it y'all comment down below which bullet was the first one to make a hole hopefully we don't have to go blow through 200 rounds that stuff is pretty pretty uh stout armor but let's see if we can make some holes in the back of it should be pretty cool all right so first shot i'm going to take is not a green tip that i'm going to load them in one at a time so we can obviously know but this is my ar this is my cmmg resolute in 556 16 inch barrel let's see if the uh regular old ammo without the green paint on it makes a hole in the back of this here we go i don't know what's going to happen hopefully i don't shoot my camera up there too did i hit it i didn't see it move i don't know let me shoot it again just in case i know that had to hit it let me empty this out and put some green tips in it and i'm gonna shoot it with two green tips but uh like i said there's the there's the green tips up there no monkey business not even going to edit any of this out but here goes two green tips i'll shoot these two and then we'll go check the back of the target quick all right two of the regulars two green tips let's go see if there's any holes in the back of that quick all right so walking up to it here you can see my camera i had looking at the back of it did we hit this four times looks like we got one two three four hits on it so we definitely hit the front with four different bullets in four different spots now let's look at the back here holy mackerel so look at that we got two holes at the back that's pretty uh that surprised me there's one in the the top there and then one in the bottom there so some of that five five six definitely went through this and i'm gonna guess that those two holes are from the green tips but you all have to comment down below which one it was i'm gonna tell you right now that surprised me so y'all are always commenting oh you should have used the green tips you should use the green tips i've never used them they're more expensive but i typically have some cheapy cheap steel case stuff when it comes to five five six but you guys sew it right there i'm gonna have to go back and take a look at the footage to see if those two holes out the back actually were the grain tips but seeing as there's two and we shot two i'm gonna go ahead and guess those green tips probably are worth it if you're uh trying to go through some body armor or whatever else but hey you guys comment down below was that really the two green tips appreciate y'all watching as always a big thanks to
