22-250 at 1,000 yards!!! - CVA Cascade

[Music] hey everybody how you doing this is about to be a really fun video this is a video i've been planning on and have been excited to go try out for quite a long time but what we're going to do is we're going to take my cva cascade give you a little bit closer look here this is my cva cascade in 2250 i've got a what is this an athalon argos btr gen2 scope on it it's got some pretty clear glass it's got the mill turrets so we can dial it out for long range but we got this thing sited in at 100 yards got some really good groups with this hornady 55 grain varmint express stuff just about putting them in the same hole with this ammo and everything i read on the google said that a 22-250 does not have enough power to get to a thousand yards unless you're doing a one and eight twist barrel a really long barrel and using an 80 or 90 grain bullet this cva cascade has a 22 inch barrel and has a 1 and 12 twist and i said ah we're going to try to anyways don't believe everything you say on the internet we're going to take this rifle down to alabama and hang out at the range with my friends alabama arsenal you guys go check them out and see if we can stretch this thing out we'll start shooting it a little closer 200 yards or so stretch it out and see just how far we can get shots on target with the goal of hitting out a thousand yards so check it out let's go see if we can do it and you cheering him up right there right between his eyes here's that next one over there to the middle three hundred two i call it 275 okay it's the closest thing we got 300 with the that silhouette and then that round one to the left you got a round look like a 10 inch to the left and full size man to the right [Applause] right in the neck you hold on top of his head it ain't dropping much i was holding right at the neck let me oh okay i'm gonna hold for the top of the white plate okay about center i like this rifle that'd be a good little old truck then what's the next furnace well if you want to go five five it's like 5 15. if you uh go all the way to the right there's a man in a circle yeah see the bottom is falling out i could say trace i need to go up i'm gonna go up to two mils should i still hold the top or try to hold dead center now if you went up two mills that's a lot hold dead center all right don't favor the left hook dead [Applause] [Music] center i didn't see exactly where that hit okay that target beat up i think you hit it down around that bottom dot yeah i think you're right well let me send one more at that distance i'm gonna hold this exact same spot that took longer to get there than i thought mm-hmm [Music] there's some wind [Applause] all right blow you just off the right edge and you hit it the second one from the left i can see the impacts better if you miss right there in front of the tires you got a man then there's a plate with a cross on it then the next man there's a little man next to him oh you're talking about the one to the right of the square plate yeah the right of the square plate i can see the impacts hope dead center this time just getting serious i'm taking my hat off dead center hope dead center let's see where we're at all right the elevation look good but you way right you almost hit that little man to the right you're gonna have to hold at least a meal off that left edge all right i'll just use the yeah you got about the meal radical whole one meal on the left edge elevation look pretty good almost dead soon almost dead soon i got two more loaded in here let me just send these sayings well you got that wind hold man i like this rifle you need to shoot this one just off the left edge queen died on a little bit got him hello boy i couldn't see the splash but i saw it wiggling you hit it 700 yards i like that all right this is the cba cascade at 700. which one are you going to shoot at how high were you holding i was holding dead soon you hit sander and used one mill off the left edge one mil off the left edge yeah well no no no hold on i was holding one mill dead center oh okay a one mil off dead center yeah it's pretty flat i'll shoot at the uh the one on the far left okay let's see a little bit yeah the man size target far left there's like a cross to the two crosses on either side of it you got me yeah got him yeah i couldn't see it i don't know that's one thing it's hard to save splash on the target unless it's i'm going to zoom out you know just zoom out a little bit see if you can get the hit hit the center [Applause] [Music] i'm gonna zoom in tight on it now get one of those [Applause] that was a good hit it was a hit but i can't if this that little bullet just don't make a big enough splat can you really see where i'm hitting either i can just that's the less [Applause] seven on the other 700 yards no problem but obviously 55 green that's too easy all right 22 250 000 don't think that's enough six seven eight shoot one at nine and see what happens shoot that see that just sitting on the ground over there towards the right i can see the impact right there sitting on the ground the silhouette it's a full-sized silhouette it's all the way on the ground anywhere around that i don't know it yep [Applause] i haven't seen that yeah hold on top of those tires just above it top of the tires on top of the tires [Applause] over hope hold the base of that oven let's see the one on the ground yeah hold right on the bottom of it [Applause] his head [Applause] you're getting there look just still a little bit low here on the like line of the dirt in the dirt all right you ought to be able to get on one of those other or you keep shooting at that one that's the max of the scope turned all the way up okay yeah just just right right and maybe a little bit low right you're you're a half a target low and about a third of a target right [Applause] that was a hit that was a hit got it [Applause] that was a hit that was a hit impact got it you can barely see it in here ah and that barrel's gone yeah we finally hit a thousand dollars i heard that one you hit the left edge there you have it guys we absolutely did it we had a shot on steel man-sized silhouette at a thousand yards a little bit closer at 700 yards we were hitting it every single time dink dink dink no problem at 700 yards but at a thousand yards with this setup and that lighter 55 grain bullet we had to max this scope out and i still had to hold i forget what it was a mil or two high but we got it done appreciate y'all watching i don't know about you guys but that's one of the more fun videos that we've ever been able to film 22 250. hey at 100 yards 200 yards we're drilling the same hole no problem with this setup even hitting at 700 yards a thousand yards but a
