***Ford F150 stuck in Nevada mud***

so we got a call for a front stuck in the mud just across Nevada border I don't even know what to tell you it's bye so it's an f-150 I think it's a two-wheel drive they said that it's got a flat tire and it's stuck in the mud good put some sockets in for a tire change so because of the distance and I'm not familiar with the area and I know we're gonna be on a lot of dirt road we chose to load up the truck and trailer to pull the Jeep out there that way I doing the recovery with a full tank of fuel and we've got a secondary vehicle we're gonna drive the truck in as far as we can as that as far as it makes sense so that depends on how the condition of the road so Rhonda Boone with the people who got stuck out there apparently they left the vehicle we're picking up keys stuff from them at a gas station in st. George and headed on out that direction to pick up their truck team dog video talking to [Music] did you get the keys from Eric aqua did she hand you the keys when we got there I didn't I thought you got I was getting gas you guys were talking to her right very close I kept my distance that's the whole reason we met her there earlier this morning picking up keys and stuff throw them in a gas station in st. George and headed on out of that direction to pick up their truck yeah that was does she pull VIN and that you got out and it's all she said so you're going after my truck and I said yes yeah after your truck but we're gonna need the keys that's over here for so they drove up the road to find a better place to wait for John to bring the keys so do you want me to tell you what's going on we stopped to meet the customer at the Texaco to get the keys and I jumped out and started feeling up and she started talking to Eric so I'm like oh then we never thought about it we drove an hour and then I'm like hey Eric do you got those keys and he says no he never got him so out of all three of us plus the customer we all dropped the ball and did not get the key the only reason we stopped at that gas station was to get was to get the keys and we did not we did not get those keys so we got John John is jumping in in his Miata and he's grabbing the keys and speeding up here while we're waiting for him we thought we would be productive and changed the brake pads on the Jeep which we happen to have with us but we don't have a 3/8 allen wrench which is needed series on it we're gonna figure this out I'm not giving up but I also know we don't have the right tool do you have channel locks No yeah at the end of this it in there [Music] let's just see if that stock will fit on there too I think well I'm gonna fix this first the race okay Derek will you stick your patty little paw in here and just hold that gently [Music] we only have a few more adjustments on that rabbit make it and take this in for my warranty work table that again we stretch it it nothing that's perfect I'll be able to hammer it on there that's good okay awesome we're changing brake bags out here in the middle of nowhere right now because we failed to get keys from the customer for the truck we're going after that stuck in the mud we just so happen to have two brake pads in the truck or the Jeep so while we're waiting for John to bring his keys we are attempting to do a MacGyver spin on these brake pad change we did not have the proper tools for this so where what's the word improvising get a picture of this little guy where'd you go lady it's interesting to note that our most valuable tool [Music] so so inspect the rotor but not too closely and then let's put the needle nose why when we have a broken screwdriver okay do you have needlenose all right so then we're gonna pop this puppy in there it's already on there okay so this thing come with disc brakes on the Dana six years would you do some kind of conversion now it's definitely some kind of perversion okay won't be torque them when we get home I'll come easy that fits once everything's lined up Matt Helders cool you don't know like you don't know if I have yet okay let's do the other side can't see where I'm Hannah with Nick your finger in there and guide it okay most valuable tool is a busted screwdriver yeah it's the one we're using okay do that thing where you pound it all the way in there with my ball P I love it when a plan comes together come on bat do you know the reference of course I do cookie do you know he loves it when a plan comes together [Music] all he would say implying that they didn't have a plan they got lucky every day every time that's how we did this is not the light I gotta go talk to Riley about this junk he sold me oh there they're gonna be on every like half-ton Chevy from like 1970s all the way through maybe the early 90s front brakes so I'm in the front of this you don't buy for a wagon here they're the same oh so they're they're gonna be on the Dana 44 so half ton jeeps and half ton Chevy's there may be some other applications I know these are a really common break to just put on if you're doing a disc brake conversion these are what you end up with so I got them all on all fours on this now so that makes it a Malita so maybe you should get that scooter that proper elements and keep it with me yeah just throw in the brake changes on the side of the road the middle of Nevada wilderness we wondered we've done it at least once now well I mean like carrying a sign a powder is one thing to carry the delegate I'm sorry to whoever a viewer operating under the delusion that we were a professional operation I really apologize and I hope you can get over I would never tell this story why the camera rolling but the first time I ever had Trevor do the brakes on this he put this brake pad in backwards one of these pads in backward this one we had a weird noise when we went and tested it so what you're gonna do is you're gonna break the handle off your screwdriver and then you can check this hole even to score shitty oh well then you check and see if it fits if it doesn't fit grab another screwdriver grab your hitch oh my I would like to take this moment to tell everybody that's watching this that we are not a how-to channel we do not intend to show you how to do anything we do intend to show you how we do it sometimes you may see us do this a totally different way another time but we're just showing you how how we do it not how you should do it kids don't try any of this at home or out in the middle of the Nevada desert that's tight enough they're tight enough for the trip today where was it it goes in the back of the Jeep we use it all the time and I'm not even kidding all right okay the ebrake slide right here was kind of fun I should have had a camera I was awesome pretty good a little hotter okay are we backing on track here so about what 30 minutes after we finished the breaks John showed up with the keys so he got here pretty quick it's a pretty good Drive I'll put a map up here and show you where John had to come from Larry got tip yeah we need to remember to grab keys when that's the only reason we stopped at a gas station I'm glad we have that to do oh my really long way [Music] so she came from that way I'm not gonna unload the Jeep while there he just took up to the front of this in front of that pull it out and then turn it around and a really low air [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] I am trying my best to stay as clean as back [Music] oh I plenty attraction over there you got a floppy tire yeah doesn't want to flip something up into the body how's that gonna fit on there it's not gonna we're just gonna have to do that see we're making it work this is a second time today Julia thank you for for doing it different every single year and sometimes in the middle of the year [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so that job took about six and a half hours round-trip some of that could have been avoided but we didn't we didn't avoid it so got the truck out pretty easy got it back to the customer they were really happy they weren't sure that it was actually gonna happen in one day so they were happy and we're happy [Music]
