FlyWire On The Road Sun-n-Fun 22 #5 Wrap-up

[Music] hi this is flywire on the road sun and fun 22 wrap up so stick with the sunflower [Music] hey i'm scott perdue and today on sun and fun on this episode of on the road i'm going to do a little wrap-up of sun and fun 22. it's sunday about lunchtime and i'm headed out looks like about more than half the people here have already left so i'm just going to join the train and see how that goes a quick wrap up i i wanted to come earlier but the weather front was moving through and apparently it rained really hard on thursday so then i changed my plan to come in friday friday i got here a little bit late and five minutes late as a matter of fact they closed the airspace for the show and i had to divert to plant city spent the show there and then i took off and i joined the three people that were with me at plant city at the uh in the hold there at lake parker we're the first ones there and we spent an hour and 20 minutes in the hold finally got in the land and i got to park here in the vintage area right off the end of the closed runway uh so it's really actually a great place to camp um close in i like that and i got my tent up just before dark and i was exhausted so i went to bed but anyway um next day i woke up and it was a good show i think overall was a good show there's a lot still a lot of people here a lot of stuff going on there's a good air show going on a couple of really good acts including leigh larterback on last night on saturday night just in the evening show that was really good i always like to see the mustang fly it's not my favorite airplane so that was good i talked to some people hopefully you've seen some of those on the road videos from sun and fun had some really good conversations this morning uh i talked to george braley he wasn't here he was here earlier in the week and they they had a press conference and a seminar about the g100 ul fuel and the stc aml that goes along with it and i asked him a question i said hey how about what about the big engines you know the big radials uh they're supercharged and the water cooled v12s merlins and allison's and the mustangs and the p40s and the p-38s and stuff like that turns out they he didn't have those set up to be on the ml so aml so he's working on that so apparently that's going to go through without a big problem as he adds the continental big bore continental to that and it should cover just about every single piston engine airplane out there so g hundred g 100 ul is on the way uh i need to find out what the status is add fuel for their work in the distribution end of it and mixing and all that so i'm going to work on that maybe i'll go up and talk to george and we can get it from in person what's going on with that fuel and with gaming so i thought that was really positive some other really good interesting things the mt prop uh i just love this thing it's a thing of beauty and it's really smooth you know they say turban smooth well this one is it's actually uh pretty dang smooth so uh overall it's pretty good uh pretty good show had like i said i had a lot of good good times talked to a lot of people um so didn't get burned out only spent two days here sometimes if you spend all week it's a bit much but a little bit light on uh warbirds in particular not an awful lot of warbirds feast matters good representation from the air force and the navy they're here in force uh the thunderbirds did a show uh that was real that was good uh it was different a different show it was kind of the same in my view but it was still they said it was different but anyway i enjoyed it hope you enjoyed the the updates and uh i'm headed to oshkosh so i'm going to be at oshkosh uh pretty much all week and i'll be there i'll be bringing charlie so come check us out i'll have a banner there and hopefully we can get to park it in a good spot and meet some of y'all so look forward to seeing you again at oshkosh and thanks for watching we'll see you next time on flywire
