the 26th through the 30th verses that's the judges a man chapter number 16 verse 26 28 with your habits Amen and the Bible gives us this intelligence and Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth that I may lean upon them now the house was and all the Lords of the Philistines were there there were upon the roof about three thousand that beheld while Simpson made sport and Samson called unto the Lord and said O Lord God remember me I pray thee and strengthen me appraisee only this one Oh God that time maybe at once of chance to get it right and so what I want to talk to you this morning another chance to get it right a second I thought last night while the other Jones was preaching that if you were not here he preached last night I said that my mind started turning and I started to terrific see how good God really is I take it personally you know that God has been so mercifully God that honestly every one of us ought to sign the old to serve in him for the rest of our lives we have no reason we have no excuse to go back Oh God after God have done so much and so many great things for us and you know the sad reality is that there are people that God has gone beyond for and they still don't see the necessity of finishing this race holding on to God's unchanging head you know it's got to be some kind of ingratitude that causes people that God lifted and elevated to such a height to turn around and decide that that which God despises is worth even considering to do there is no reason sons and daughters for us to go back Oh God as a matter of fact that toll of the other night that the Bible tells us that he has no pleasure in Vilma that drawback as a matter of fact when God saves us when God delivers us he does so to the intent that we go oh the way with calm and it's not simply about choosing and picking a member a paternity that we give God to have his way in US and through us and with us a mint but it's for us to get ourselves out of the way and allowed to use us for his glory and for the Lord amen I think it really us take the goodness of God for granted when we this side a meant that all of the other things that we don't better than to do or worth our time and our attention and I don't have to take it inventory Amen and ask you to raise your hand the day but handle that remain successful because if God takes his annoying pain away then your gift meaning you'll never do what you could do if you don't understand this if you don't understand today that your gift is meaningless without the success in God between the people of Israel to bring about deliverance and that was one that was one notice that me of us right now they wanna drink no wine because if you're hard Samson's problem was that he loved not that he loved a woman I'm not saying that women are the worst things in the world I would never say that I married one one time I would never tell you that women are the worst things that could happen to a man but I can't tell you that's the most successful weapon that the enemy can use to bring them out of distraction we distill being in the garden eating fruit if it wasn't for a weak man who didn't know how to deal with a woman proverbs the seventh chapter you could read it in your own time it talks about a young man with a Bible calls him simple he was as the wise men declare void of understanding just as green as he could be in the Bible said there was a woman who looked out and saw him coming and went and met him in the oh look at semana telling this is a dangerous woman you gotta be killed cuz you might get a hope too dangerous and the Bible said she went and she's not here he's gone on a long journey took a lot of money so he ain't gonna be back for a while we can lay up all night long the Bible says she tell him I changed the sheets and put perfume in the bed oh she had honey on her lips but pause it on a time and look at this green young man the old folk used to say nose wide open following her back to the house and the Bible said this will cause him undoubtedly to be destroyed and you read it in the Bible never work right you still got folks say they shave and feel with the Holy Ghost amen but don't even believe in being safe job but you don't understand pastor he got this let me tell you something if people cannot walk with you if [Applause] until they got for him somebody that God would never never prove but even in this God said all right go ahead because he was seeking an occasion against the Philistines anyway the power said Samson on his way killed because he wanted to show up he started giving riddles giving up and he said listen if you can figure this Freddie she said do all of this and the Bible said that something got so cocky and he kept putting forth his riddle and one day they went to his espoused wife and they said you gotta get him to figure this out tell him to tell you what's going on and she said Samson tell me what the secret is tell me what the riddle means you gotta tell me and the Bible says she pressed him until finally his companions came and said we figured out your riddle Oh what's stronger than a lion and what's sweeter than honey and Samson said if you hadn't applied with my helper you don't never figure this out boy y'all getting quiter I had to look that up today if you if you hadn't hadn't allowed with my heifer did you know there's a difference between a cow and a heifer boy y'all gettin quest a heifer it is a count that's never had a cat once a helper has a calf it's no longer a helper it's a cow and Samson said she ain't even done done good for me yet and you already got some good you plowed with my heifer Bible said that they gave Samson's wife Ben to his companions and said are we allowed her to marry somebody else we didn't think you wanted her anymore robber said Samson takes the gates of the city and he carries them all the way to the top of the hill look at it it's right then beginning of chapter 16 he carries the gates with the ball all the way up to the top of a hill but then the next scripture says then he loved a woman in the valley and sometimes after God allowed you to go all the way up to the hill you find that some people still have affections in the valley where they can quietly it's a dangerous thing for you to be elevated like its adversity later with a prostitute all night the Philistine said he's here we don't get him in the morning time and the Bible said sounds and awoke in midnight and said I gotta get out of here what woke him up y'all gettin what wasn't finished conscience bother him what got said then the Bible says Samson fell in love with another woman and her name was Delilah everything that was an undisciplined action that Samson had already committed was leading him the woman named alive just because you got away with a whole don't mean that the enemy ain't just dropping breadcrumbs leading you to a woman named and latter or you had it you got away with everybody else but there's somebody that's gonna hook you somebody gonna snag you and that's gonna come an opportunity if you're not careful that you won't be able to get away you won't be able to shake up and the perils that Samson Oh Samson steel he struggling with the same thing oh but every time he needs the power of God he just shakes himself in seem like God show up keep playing and every time I get up to the sang they tell me I bless the whole house you know the stuff you doing today right keep on playing keep fooling around thinking you own this gift because you know what you've got for the rest of the day that you still anointed you don't realize that was just making you comfortable being a hypocrite but he got the right one this time the Bible said this woman was a dangerous woman Oh silver was the her reward for turning him over the Bible said in that sense if you read it it gives the indication she wanted to sell for more than she wanted Samson but when your egotistical he'll think that everybody's around you for you and it makes you too blind to see that there are only people around you because of what they're getting out of this Samson finds himself with a woman who would every turn of his trying her best to undo him Samson tell me where your strength lies and Samson's lying to this woman plant my hair and he's lying and every time he says something what he says just so happens to happen to him but when your heart is not purified and when the devil causes lust to control your life you can't see stuff that's right in front of your face you're like like you can't see this that's a red getting ready to happen and you can't even see everything that you say needs to happen for you to be destroyed just so happens and you can't even see it and the Bible says finally she pressed him so so long until Samson told her all of his heart and she laid his head on her lap and he went to sleep better be careful who whoo laughs you got your head in that's a Tuesday night summer day yeah Bible says she was so careless she don't even do it herself she called for a barber to cut his hair and once his hat was gone she said Samson they back again you know what the Bible says Samson did he stood up shook himself like he had done so many times before it worked all of those other times but he didn't see he was getting further away from God and this time he shakes do you think it's gonna be before you shake yourself and don't let happen Oh playing around going out there oh you don't want nobody tell you're not they trying to tell you there's a devil loose you just keep going out there and every time you come back to church you want to test the fine hold up the service I want to let y'all know you ain't nothing but a bunch of dogs out there how much longer you think it's gonna be before you come back and don't that happen don't impress us with your testimony impress us with the life that you live after you get sick let me hurry up and close this out yeah ain't no good me left I heard somebody say y'all show having a whole lot of babies for there not to be no good man left [Applause] and then but dogs like that now you just attracting dogs that's what you get when you got a wag you'll tear to get him [Applause] Sampson got a hold to the right one this time he's shaken but nothing is happening and here what the Bible says it's a tragedy that he didn't even know that the Spirit of God had left him he had no idea that the Spirit of God was go he played around so long so caught up in himself didn't even recognize with this God left and all he saw was that my strength is in my hair it was never just in your head your hair was a testament to your relationship but it was always in your relationship with God and one day if you're not careful you're gonna shake yourself and it's a sad realization that you need the power and the power is no longer there Bob said he got Sampson he plugged his eyes out made him grind at the meal like a beast of burden and while he was crammed in the palace it is hair started growing back if it was all about his hair he'd add strength with his hands start growing bang but that wasn't what it was all about it wasn't until he craved that's what I've come to tell somebody today I don't care where you are you may have that testimony I had it I lost it but I want it back you might have had it but if you won't give you another chance [Applause] another chance another chance to do what I what I didn't get a chance to do now I understand why the angel told his parents he's gonna begin to deliver his people that's all he did you look at Samson's like he never raised an army he never went to battle everything Sampson did he did it all on his own and the Bible said he killed 3,000 people and his death and that was more than he killed in his whole lifetime he really didn't do much damage to the Philistines at all because he was so anointed and so gifted that he was all wrapped up in himself and the Word of God was true he only began to deliver the people he was never successful like you see other judges successful he never did anything great as far as the nation he did things great individually now Sampson says just give me one more chance my life has been a disappointment but give me one more chance to do something good before you call me home and some matter today maybe your life has been a disappointment but God will give you another chance to get it right maybe you used to sing you used to preach you used to be active but it was all about you you had all the privilege people clapping and a mate you feel good about yourself but what did you do because you thought it was all about your gift and you neglected your relationship with God but today God will give you another chance to get it right I want you to stand maybe there's somebody here today [Music] you need to take advantage of this opportunity for the Hermit I had it then I lost it but now I want it back I had it I lost it now I want it back I let him trick me I let him fool me they lied to me and I believed it I was so busy and listening to the applause and I felt like everything was good because people would still rejoice and then shouting they were still lifting their hands you were too blind to see that it was never about your singing it was never about you saying a bunch of words it was always about your relationship and people are still been fooled by that you hear people saying stuff like China I know I need to get back in church I need to start going to church for I need to get back in the choir you think that's what it is I better get back homeless for you don't just show up and join no I'm saving and that makes it alright it's never about your uniform it wasn't about your choir robe it was always about your relationship with God there's somebody you don't even realize that if you don't get yourself together if you think you can still function an error I heard when I write I say you're not just flirting with disaster you bought a ring got down on your knee and asked disaster to marry you and I'm calling you every head bowed and every eye closed somebody is here you need God and you need him in a bad way I don't care what kind of church you go to I don't I don't care what you do I'm a deacon that matters not to God it's not about the privilege that you enjoy and being used it's about the responsibility that comes along with being used the way God has his hand on you to use you and if you're here today you know and you feel like I got to get this thing together ah maybe you left your first love God is saying to somebody remember from where you're falling [Music] they'll give you another chance to get it right why don't you come on come on to the lawn be real with yourself and be real with God you're not fooling anybody [Music] you're not fooling anybody [Music] why I want you to know today that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved and if that's you and you're saying today law and I'm ready to surrender my whole life to you just lift your hands just tired of running you tried your way and it didn't work that's it just lift your hands and I want you to talk to God and mean it open your mouth and say Lord I'm sorry for everything I've done that it wasn't like you come in and deliver me and shat me free I still not baptize me with the Holy Ghost and tell him I'll live for you for the rest of my life come on if you believe it just lift those hands up now and let him do it father touch in the name of Jesus we declared deliverance today you said that he that cometh to God he will in no wise cast them out you're the prize of your
