Faki Party Taxi 3: Motorbike Hunt Fail 🇹🇿

geraldo's got the world's worst headache today so seeing as i am in no mood to crack any jokes i figured you know why not dress like one i'm about to meet up with mr and i am gonna buy him a motorbike it's just that he does not know yet that i'm buying him a motorbike i've done some investigating and it turns out the bikes that he's been using to drive me around they are rentals and uh i had the um waiter in the marumaru restaurant uh call him yesterday uh actually not yesterday today's monday i was gonna leave on saturday but on saturday i had him call him and basically try and suss out whether he owns the motorbike or not uh i might just roll that tape now and then you'll uh you can see for yourself you're there so mr come on okay is it his motorbike or his friends his friend oh he don't have a motorbike what's he saying he said that won't work uh he don't have a motorbike oh so he borrowed it from his friends for one day he paid ten thousand shoes so as you can see he rents those bikes to drive me around and i've often to try to come up with a way to help people that don't have a shop that aren't already uh for example guys that don't necessarily have their their own business set up and i i i've come to the conclusion now after a couple years of doing this that it's basically impossible to to do so unless you run into them by by chance and i think that this is probably the most genuine guy i've met here uh just you see the sort of happiness in his eyes when he got that uh bayern munchen shirt the other day yes yeah do you want it so you want one yes yeah hold on is this your size good yeah yes it's just it's just really genuine just when we're around the markets and so on so i think he really if i give him a motorbike then he doesn't need to rent anymore obviously his profits are up and then he can be the guy who not only drives his own motorbike you know which he'll make more money he can rent his motorbike out to guys that don't have a motorbike and i think this will really really help him out so i'm gonna go into the city now meet him at the hotel and then uh we'll see how easy it is to buy a motorbike here hopefully he's got all the papers and house registrations whatever he needs to to uh actually take one out of the shop today hey how's it going you okay let's go you ready really let's go masai shoes for the win do you like massage shoes masai opposed to the yeah i've never seen that boxer brand before so let's try and get what he um his first choice he's going to call his friend he keeps saying that this is the good one so oh i wanna there must be another one must be a bigger one than this as well we are driving back to stone town and this whole way he has been sulking saying you know that he's very sorry and uh but i missed tbs yes i missed it uh so it's really really upset that that i wasn't able to buy it uh he has no idea that it's uh it's actually for him he's really sad it might be hard that we weren't able to get the bike but uh i uh yeah he still has no idea but uh i am going to the mainland at some stage and uh i reckon i can uh i can probably just get one there and then bring it to here so yeah maybe next time we can find one all right stone town next time look how upset it is it's okay i don't need it right now next time it's okay you didn't fail i'll find one i'll find one you miss the tvs i know but uh yeah it's not easy to buy a bike here i mean it just goes to show the convenience you know things in europe you just you go to the shop huge in europe you know the shop is so big 100 motorbikes or in asia and you just pick the bike and then you go but here here is not so easy so all right signing off next time next time yeah okay so what did we learn today it's not easy to buy a motorbike here uh i'm determined to get him one though uh whether it's ordering from the mainland or maybe just maybe just um going to the mainland myself he really deserves one so this is probably a video that i'll i'll finishing thought here when you help people out with a little extra here whether it's the security guard at your hotel or or uh waiters or the motorbike drivers just the gratitude you know on their face it's unbelievable it just really goes a long way here and they'll next time they see you they'll talk about you even they'll be like i can't believe that you that you tipped me i thank you so that motorbike that you guys have already seen because i'm gonna put this into the same video now it's in the thick of rainy season and this is only my second day here i only came back because i i really uh you know i really want to buy him a motorbike and i think we're going to succeed today so yesterday i spent all day with paul scholus and i told him about how i failed and i i couldn't find like a proper motorbike shop so he called someone his brother is a mechanic and we had a uh rickshaw yesterday three wheelers he calls it and drove around for a couple of hours now the first shop he took me to was again with us overly enthusiastic woman who despite people coming to her uh dealership to to spend over a thousand dollars on one item a motorbike seems to have no interest whatsoever in selling one so uh we went there and i yeah it was the same enthusiasm even though paul schools you know he is very jovial and he speaks great um great uh english and swahili so i said listen i don't really want to buy a bike here even though yesterday she actually did have a couple of tvs bikes as we all know fakie says tv has good so a tvs is what he's gonna get so we sold it on to another shop a woman's sandal shoes shop and there they actually had to tvs yeah it's you again it's a cigarette man how's it going how's your cigarette business going it's very bad well you're walking around in the rain and there's nobody out here all right come up i'll get some cigarettes all right come here yeah so so anyway um we are i'm gonna i found a where was i a woman's shoe sandal shoe shop that sells sandals for like five five um thousand chilling and then motorbikes for 3.2 million so at least a guy there he didn't speak much english but he was kind of you know showing me the bike and maybe have enough but when you do go and change they give you 10 000 notes so in tanzania and shillings i'm gonna need uh 3.2 million just for the bike uh it's basically 3.5 million i think i'm gonna get that's why i brought this one my my money bag to keep all the the tanzanian federal reserves in so here's the here's the post office so let's uh let's give this a go and then uh i'll meet up with time so he um he was very very happy he kept saying thank you thank you and uh yeah now he can be the man that rents out his motorbike when he isn't driving so hopefully things will will um start to look up for him as for all toronto i'm gonna leave zanzibar tomorrow i think afternoon so i'm gonna have i'm gonna meet up with with um uh fakie again tomorrow morning and then uh i'm off to another
