True story: that second walk off against the Phillies I have no recollection of. I only remember it from watching videos of it for years to follow. Which is weird because I watched basically every game of the 2012 season and remember so many vividly. I even went to a game just a few days after that, which I also remember vividly. But for some reason I cannot at all recall where I was or what I was doing that night nor my reaction when I watched/found out what happened.
Fitting the first couple went right over the Hooters sign
The 2nd one he hit against the Phillies in 2012 I was at for my birthday. Itโs still the only game Iโve been able to go to and it was nuts.
Hearing Skip call the runs to hearing Chip call them. I love Chip, but goddamn I miss Skip so much.
The most classic Skip Caray call of all time
I like seeing the evolution of the home plate celebration. From a calm high five session in the early years to complete chaos after the last one.
I was there for that first walk-off against the Phillies in his final year. What an absolutely insane game. I think they went ahead something like 9-3 or 9-4, but between Bmacโs grand slam and Chipperโs walk-off Iโve never screamed so much in my life. It was also my sisterโs first game in person and the first time my parents, my future wife and I, and my sister and her future husband did anything together. Pretty great memory.
God I miss watching Chipper play
2nd best switch hitter of all-time.
