Arenado completes the cycle with a walk-off home run

they're playing a little bit more shallow up the middle the plane DoublePlay depth so that ball can sneak by then your age isn't his grave and any kind of dirt ball you have an aggressive fast guy at third and Blackman here we go five that's a cycle he gets wet cargo walk psycho like these 2017 [Applause] he's bleeding a little we didn't come up here last time he got cutted into the yellow so I got goose bumps remarkable why do we say go to this in this clock never quits I said this day started out great it has a chance to end great [Applause]

Really impressed by all of our boys here. If Tapia can up his plate discipline, some combo of DJ -> Tapia -> Blackmon -> Arenado could do some serious damage in the future. Spectacular stuff from the home team.

Ironically, the Rockies weren't a good team when trailing playing from behind. You can argue that it wasn't due to them quitting, but they were not great at coming back from a deficit.

Based on innings that the Rockies entered trailing, and the league average:

The biggest outlier is entering the 5th when behind (something that I pointed out during the season last year, actually). The average team won 0.195% of the time when entering the 5th trailing, but the Rockies only won 0.129% of the time. They were below pace when trailing entering every single regulation inning last year. Obviously a big part of that is how much the bats struggled as a whole, but the Rockies were pretty bad at making comebacks last year.
