The Fallout Series has been home to a plethora of interesting people from Freedom Fighters to Cowboys from detectives to mutants from preachers to a talking toaster I am online once again tremble World these games really have set the standard when it comes to compelling characters but some characters are so good that developers brought them back in later games after their first appearance so today I'm going to tell you about every returning character in The Fallout series also before we start please go check out my twitch I play Fallout on there too you can let me penetrate I'll penetrate whatever I want dude penetrate your [ __ ] let's begin in Fallout 3 at the end of the Brotherhood of Steel questline you and the rest of the Brotherhood have been tasked with taking back the Jefferson Memorial and activate project Purity after it was captured by The Enclave how are we gonna take on The Enclave when they got better armor better weapons and a stronger base of operations it's gonna be impossible to capture well I'm glad you asked Maxson because we've got Liberty Prime the mascot of America commies be damned because Liberty primes here to [ __ ] them up so Liberty Prime is a giant robot that was originally made for the Great War by the US Army before the big Kaboom it was later found by the Brotherhood of Steel and restored to its proper Glory the Brotherhood in an effort to take back project Purity marched all the way from the Citadel to the Jefferson Memorial to destroy them with the power of Freedom the only problem is it takes [ __ ] forever I hate this years later in Fallout 4 if the player decides to side with the Brotherhood then you'll be tasked with restoring Liberty Prime to take out the Institute or as I like to call them Enclave 2 the shittier sequel with robots and just like in Fallout 3 it takes just as long he's exactly like how I remember sorry I'm getting really emotional holy [ __ ] wow Patrick that's pretty cool I hope I could be as cool as Liberty Pride when I grow up oh you won't what what yeah you become a racist when you grow up what what the [ __ ] so in Fallout 3 when you visit the Citadel you can meet this cheeky little bugger named Squire Maxson when talking to him you could tell by his dialogue that he's a loyal member of the Brotherhood he speaks as if he's reading off a script huh maybe Liberty Prime isn't the real robot here if you go into his diary logs you can find out his full name is Arthur Maxson and that he loves the Brotherhood and was raised by them and totally isn't a robot design dispute Brotherhood propaganda what's also interesting about this kid is that he's apparently the Last Descendant of the brotherhood's founder Captain Roger Maxson but I'm sure that lineage will end soon because this kid is a [ __ ] loser fast forward to Fallout 4 if players decide to join the Brotherhood of Steel they're introduced to their leader who is none other than Arthur Maxson himself the boy we met in Fallout 3 is all grown up and now he leads this chapter of the Brotherhood under maxon's leadership the Brotherhood has expanded from the capital Wasteland into the Commonwealth maxson's new goal for the Brotherhood is no longer to help those in need but to find technology and keep it out of the hands of those who may misuse it he also has a distinct hate of ghouls as well as ironically robots why do you hate robots so much Maxin maybe it's because you really are one wow who knew this cute little guy would grow up to become such an [ __ ] I must kill him now before we can do any damage to the Wasteland die oh yeah kids are essential in this game speaking of the Brotherhood not all members are as loyal as Maxon is during the events of Fallout 3 you meet Dr Madison Lee one of your father's scientific colleagues working on Project Purity then your dad [ __ ] dies and you have to escape to the Citadel to flee from The Enclave with Dr Lee and a bunch of random scientists with The Enclave hot on her Trail Madison had no choice but to seek shelter with the Brotherhood she helps them restore Liberty Prime which sets forth the events that ultimately lead to the Brotherhood regaining project Purity she then stays with the Brotherhood for the rest of the game fast forward years later to Fallout 4. once you make it to the Institute if you head to the advanced system sector you'll find a much older more cynical Madison Lee as the head of their division it's funny because she tells you that she was tired of being used by the Brotherhood under the leadership of Maxin and that the Brotherhood was no longer good for the Wasteland so she joins up with the most evil faction in the Commonwealth off [ __ ] The Institute takes people in their sleep kills them and then replaces them my sister in Christ you make no sense moving on in Fallout 2 if you head over to the settlement of broken Hills you can come across the town sheriff an intelligent Super Mutant named Marcus as a former member of the Master's Army Marcus has quite the story and well I'll let him tell it after the master and the Vats were destroyed I wanted a bit no place to go one day got attacked by this fool wearing power armor and that was Jacob from the Brotherhood of Steel he's worn some oath to destroy mutes oh he tussled for a while probably a day or two after a while we just started laughing what was the point and we became friends headed off together then other people started following us guess they figured if they weren't safe with a beauty and a steel Knight safe just wasn't going to happen Marcus and his followers then built the settlement of broken Hills in 2185 where Marcus acts as the town sheriff years later in Fallout New Vegas if you visit the settlement of jacobstown which is a town of non-hostile super mutants you will be greeted by the town mayor Marcus the very same mutant you met in Fallout 2. Marcus has been in jacobstown working on a research project with a man named Doc Henry to cure the nightkin of their schizophrenia and make them just as intelligent as he is speaking of Doc Henry if you rewind time back to Fallout 2 you can find him in the new California Republic working in a clinic Doc Henry is a former Enclave member who ran away because he felt as if his work was not being appreciated and when you meet him you'll find that he has been in his lab working on a new serum to create cyber dogs help him out in his research and he'll reward you with your very own robot Pooch fast forward to Fallout New Vegas and now he resides in Jacob's Town researching the prolonged effects of Stealth Boys on a nightkin's brain alongside Marcus naturally The Courier can help the good doctor with his research and find the cure for the night kin also side note if you start the quest ain't nothing but a hound dog you'll find out that your very own cyber dog Rex needs a new brain and the only man with the expertise to perform such an operation is none other than Doc Henry after 40 years in the Cyber dog business he still hasn't lost his touch but no amount of cybernetics or upgrades can match up to the goodest boy in the wastes dog meat this guy has been our loyal companion for 20 years as he made his first appearance in Fallout 1. if the Vault dweller heads to junktown you could find a sad very feral dog meat his owner was killed by a local gangster but if you feed him or are wearing a leather jacket like his previous owner he will accompany you in your travels throughout the wastes then in Fallout 2 if you head to the cafe of Broken Dreams you can find dog meat during a special encounter and if you're wearing a vault 13 jumpsuit then he can become your companion once again also according to the wiki if the player has low enough NCR reputation then Dogmeat will attack you damn follow two dog meat is a true patriot moving on to Fallout 3 if you head to the scrapyard you can find dog meat surrounded by dead Raiders it appears as if there was a fight that took place in which Dogmeat came out the Victor but his master died in the process so you being the nice lone Wanderer you are you adopt him and this time he won't judge you for being evil like Fallout 2 dog meat you could Slaughter an entire Caravan and he will still look at you with that adorable smile on his face also if you have the perk puppies then no matter how many times Dogmeat dies a new one will appear as a replacement then fast forward to Fallout 4 and Dogmeat has been changed from an Australian Cattle Dog into a German shepherd and can be found at the red rocket truck stop he's a lot more useful in this game than in previous entries as this time he can do tricks he can find loot for you and he even helps you track down Kellogg during the main questline so how is Dogmeat made appearances in games that take place years and years apart after all Fallout 1 takes place in 2161 while Fallout 4 takes place in 2287 that's an 126 year difference well according to the wiki every dog meat is a different dog as there's no way in a 126 year old dog is possible oh yeah sorry forgot about you Rex despite all being different in their own ways each dog is as good of a companion as the last which is why dog meat is such an iconic part of the Fallout franchise in Fallout 3 if you head West a little Lamplight you'll find a settlement in a cave made up entirely of kids yeah that's right these little guys have been fending for themselves all this time with no parental supervision when you get to the gate you're met by a McCready the town mayor as mayor McCready is protective of his fellow kids and won't let any adults inside however if you have the child at heart perk he'll let you in for making a butt joke oh yeah you must like having such a good looking butt you're pretty funny for a [ __ ] why don't you come on in fast forward to Fallout 4 if you head to the third rail in good neighbor and head to the VIP section you'll find two Gunners arguing with a mercenary after this argument if you go up to him you'll find out that this mercenary is McCready from Fallout 3 all grown up he since left little Lamplight and became a gunner but after some moral disagreements McCready left the group and that led him to the third rail you can hire him for 500 caps and if you do you get to travel with one of the best companions in Fallout 4. in Fallout 3 if you head over to girder shade you can find an attractive young girl named Sierra Sierra is obsessed with nuka-cola and everything Nuka Cola related her house is full of nuka-cola memorabilia and she'll give you a tour of it if you ask she offers you money if you bring her nuka-cola Quantum so if you want to make some caps on the side this is a nice side hustle there's also this guy named Ronald who says if you give him nuka-cola bottles he'll give you double of what Sierra's paying you see he thinks if he gives her the new Coca-Cola bottle that he'll get a better chance to plow our beanfield you sick [ __ ] years later if you have the Nuka World DLC in Fallout 4 you can find Sierra near the marketplace talking to a Raider about the whereabouts of some nuka-cola artifacts damn she looks like she has an age today man that graphics upgrade really did her good she tells the player that she is Nuka cola's biggest fan and she offers the player the quest Cappy in a haystack which sends you to find a number of different mascots across the park Sierra believes that collecting all of them will gain her access to nuka-cola's secret recipe turns out the actual reward for completing the quest is meeting the creator of Nuka Cola himself John Caleb bread oh my God he's a [ __ ] floating head let's rewind way back to 1998's Fallout if you head over to Shady Sands you can meet a girl named Tandy the mayor's daughter when you talk to her she tells you about her boredom with working in Shady Sands and gives off the impression that she wants more in life than living in a dirty old settlement like like this she eventually gets kidnapped by the great cons and it's up to the Vault dweller to save her once saved she thanks you and you go on your Merry way also if you're a male Vault dweller you can plower beanfield I say if you're a male dweller because if you hit on her as a woman she awkwardly tells you that she's into guys but I uh I like guys okay uh excuse me I got stuff to do it's funny how in modern Fallout games it doesn't matter your gender you can get with anyone but in older Fallout games it depends on your gender whether you can get with someone years later in Fallout 2 Shady Sans has grown into a prosperous settlement now being called the new California Republic their leader none other than president Tandy herself she tasks you with a quest to find some technology in Vault 15. so you being the chosen one does what your President says and retrieves the attack which proves quintessential in the ncr's expansion North so it seems president Tandy had done some pretty great things for the NCR thus her Legacy will live on forever and hey she even got a spot on the ncr's a hundred dollar bill speaking of older Fallout games in Fallout 1 and 2 there was a perk introduced called the mysterious stranger if you were high enough level and your luck skill was high enough then you would occasionally see this guy appear out of nowhere in combat to assist you however if he died he'd be gone forever The Stranger in both games would have been a man or woman depending on your play or character's gender and there wasn't really much else to the stranger other than that flash forward to Fallout 3 in New Vegas The Stranger was changed completely as he would only appear in Vats if you had the mysterious stranger perk no matter what level you were they made the stranger exclusively male and got him a cool trench coat and a sweet Fedora he would appear before you to finish off your enemy with a bullet from his revolver then he would disappear before you had the chance to thank him damn he got away again I wanted to ask him where he got his sick threads from nothing much more was added to the lore after that until Fallout 4 when the Great Clockwork dick Nick Valentine was introduced it's synth detective jackass you're gonna be that way you might as well get the make and model right Nick seems to be the only person in the entire series who has acknowledged the stranger's existence when the stranger pops up and Vats if you have Nick as a companion he will spout dialogue like this stop what's up stranger also if you look in Nick's files uh uh oh oh oh my God Nick why do you have these oh oh no not those files these files you can read about how Nick has been keeping tabs on the stranger and how there have been sightings of the stranger from the Commonwealth all the way to the NCR speaking of the NCR they wouldn't have even existed if it weren't for the heroic actions of the Vault dweller in Fallout 1 think about it without the Vault dweller president Tandy would have probably been killed by the cons not only that but the Masters Army might have thrived and killed off the remaining humans they might have also figured out a way to bang because uh fun fact super mutants can't [ __ ] reproduce anyways the point is that the Vault dweller is one of the most important characters in The Fallout universe and his influence can be seen in each and every Fallout after Fallout 1. after completing the game The Vault dweller heads out into the Wasteland to found the village of Arroyo and seemingly that's where his story ends except in the worst Fallout game of all time Fallout Brotherhood of Steel there's a bar in carbon Texas where you can find the legendary hero of the waste Slayer of the master the man the myth the legend the Vault dweller what the [ __ ] they reduced the Vault dweller to an alcoholic stereotypical Action Hero if you said that to me 30 years ago I'd have shot you and sold your gear for drinking money dude that's [ __ ] stupid after talking to him he gives you a quest to go retrieve his trusty Vault 13 canteen that's it they've ruined the Vault dweller in one fail swoop with this garbage game wait Bethesda made this game non-canon yeah now the man you've all been wanting to hear about the most iconic recurring Fallout character of all time Harrow oh God he's so ugly but he's such a good character all right all right let's start from the beginning so Harold was a child when the bombs dropped and he survived in Vault 29 a vault full of children and young teens then 13 years later the Vault opened and he made his living as a traitor with a man named Richard Gray outside of the Vault after a while Harold and his Caravan starts to get picked off by mutants tired of losing good people him and his team track down the source of these mutants to be the Mariposa military base vowing to put an end to them they traveled to the Mariposa military base and fought long and hard with the mutants but during the battle Richard was knocked into a vat of fev or Force evolutionary virus and turned into the master the antagonist of Fallout 1. meanwhile Harold passes out and wakes up in the Wasteland it seems that prolonged exposure to fev Vats turned him into well whatever the [ __ ] this is Harold then went to the hub where he is now penniless homeless and homeless you can find him in Fallout 1 in The Hub telling stories for caps so here's where it gets a little messy so now we jump to Fallout Brotherhood of Steel which came out after Fallout 2 but chronologically happens before Fallout 2. so in Brotherhood of Steel you could find Harold in the town of carbon Harold is still homeless doesn't play a big role in the game either he seems to have a sapling growing out of his head but we'll get into that later you can go on a mini side quest to retrieve his missing body parts but that's about it for Harold and Brotherhood of Steel then fast forward to Fallout 2 Harold can be found in the town of Gekko a city made up of ghouls where he is their leader the town is surrounded by the Poseidon energy plant and when the chosen one arrives Harold will ask them to solve the power plant problem in a side quest the sapling head also has a name now jealous his name's Herbert I talked to him when I get lonely just kidding his name's Bob man Bob is getting pretty large I hope he doesn't turn into anything oh my God and now we come to Fallout 3 where Harold has been turned into a tree and worshiped by the church of Herald as a tree God so what happened is that Harold traveled across the country all the way to DC where he was overwhelmed by Bob and was rooted into the ground and turned into a tree and because he's a tree he caused the surrounding area to grow into a luscious Sanctuary then some wastelanders came across him and started to worship Him forming the Church of Herald he asks you if you can kill him and God I mean can you blame him he's worshiped by a bunch of wackos and he can't move plus he's a ghoul I mean is he a ghoul or maybe like a mutant I don't know he wants us to travel underground and Destroy his heart so he can die painlessly I don't know Harold wouldn't it be easier to just [Music] mm-hmm hey guys thanks for watching the video I hope you liked it I apologize for the lack of uploads I've been busy with school and so it's harder for me to make time for YouTube but I'm going to try and upload as much as I can again thanks for watching and have a wonderful holiday bye-bye
