Eating Everything at Asia's Worst Fast Food Chain!! KFC Should Sue!!

today i'm eating at the worst fast food chain in all of asia nearly 15 years ago i moved to the country of korea where i lived for eight years and i went to a little restaurant known as lotteria lotoria in south korea was founded in 1979 as part of an expansion of the low-tech group when i went there for the first time i was extremely disappointed it was like they saw a google image of a burger but had no idea what was in a burger and so somehow they hired scientists and engineers to put something together that resembled a burger but what it tasted like was nightmares that was a long time ago has loteria redeemed itself or is it still the worst fast food chain in asia let's go find out [Music] before entering right here we have the menu this right here this is the bulgogi burger we're gonna have to try that out for sure because it is our signature korean item who are they copying the spaghetti from you can also get a teriyaki burger of course there's fried chicken loteria you don't need to be everyone else you don't need to try to satisfy everybody do what satisfies you that's probably not how you run a business i guess i don't exactly have permission to shoot inside here we're gonna like kind of hide the camera i'm gonna have to stop talking in my sonny the host voice and i'm just gonna have to keep it real what you see now is always fake and when i really order food i sound quite different hi there could i get some of this chicken one of these in one of these or one of these or one of these what does this one say stars and stripes and girls in in stetson's cows in buns and boys in western rock then roll for big check i mean this is why english teachers are in very high demand so let's do a quick tour of the table right here we have a shrimp burger spaghetti four different types of chicken all this chicken with so much goo on it and they gave me this two tissues like good luck this is our shrimp burger a little bit of lettuce on there which honestly is serving pretty much no purpose i feel like i can take that off and not really miss much of the experience so a little bit of that orangey type of sauce fried hockey puck of a shrimp burger some bread let's try that one crispy and you can see if i had to guess i think that is shrimp inside it's not bad i appreciate the crunchiness of it that's definitely a shrimp oh yeah that's what i do every time it's honey take one bite one bite smash let's talk about the spaghetti if you look at the posters oh you can't see it editor cut to close-up of a poster the posters look like this they need to let you know hey we promise there is meat inside i want to do a video where italian people react to spaghetti like this and spaghetti from jollibee and just see if they're horrified or if they're like hey not bad probably it wouldn't be the second one it's steamy it's noodly to me this is like freshman in college type of food the sauce it's like a little bit of tomato a ton of sugar the meat is the most expensive part here but that doesn't mean it has to taste bad although it probably does i got a shame i like that not over sweet tastes pretty tomatoey the meat the meat [Music] definitely meat inside i've had this and i've had jollibee spaghetti this is much better also who the heck would sliced hot dogs on their spaghetti that is like some carb loading type food though do not eat that if you live a sedentary lifestyle eat that if you work out a lot chicken we have four different flavors now this is soy there might be a translation issue because it doesn't sound great that one is cheese this one is called hms which i think is hot and sweet and then this one here is buffalo sauce let's try this soy one look at all that chicken skin it's sticky on the menu it just said soy so maybe that means soy sauce let's try it out [Music] it tastes great there's some sugars in there too crunchy but also soaked in that soy sauce i like it this one's gonna be crazy look at this huge piece right here we can cheese chicken it's getting soaked with this chemical cheese batter oh it's smelling super chemically [Music] hmm strangely sweet am i just a piece of why do i kind of like this not as good as soy part of me likes it and that's a part of me i'm trying to kill every day this one they labeled it h and s i don't know what that means it's very sweet it's not hot at all it might be a bad translation here buffalo i think no big surprises here it is not vinegary it's not spicy it's just red overall i gotta say i'm impressed with the chicken my favorite here would be the soy chicken i can say my guilty pleasure would be the cheese chicken although i would never eat it in public again i would only eat it in the dark of my own home there it is these are the burgers what may mean judge lotteria so harshly in the past the bulgogi and the teriyaki with an egg i want to go check out how these burgers are now and if they've changed since back in the day i did not drop that course number two first the fried section i tried a delicious mozzarella stick one time when i was maybe nine years old at a tgi fridays and it tasted so amazing in my whole life i've been trying to get back to that moment that's a good mozzarella stick still hot and that's the key part you want it to be full of hot cheese juice that squeezes out as you eat it [Music] this one for me i got like a 9.8 out of 10. really good the only problem with eating too many of the cheese sticks here is you will start breathing heavy but here i am eating another one very yummy these are squid rings some might call it calamari some might call it well and uh right here okay the cheese oil is going to my brain the only sad thing here is i don't see a sauce i would love like a tartar sauce or a mayonnaise based sauce or anything besides this they've got ketchup then they have like a vietnamese chili sauce and that is it i guess i could just give it a little bit of crunchy not chewy on the inside maybe that's why they don't call it calamari i think this is chopped squid see that as i pull it apart that is not a solid piece that is many tiny pieces put together to form a ring that is interesting for that reason don't love it if i had some tartar sauce i might and they called it a ring because like technically it is a ring you could put it on a finger you could get down on one knee and ask someone to marry you they would murder you and hide your body let's take a look at our next food right here fish nuggets you've heard of chicken nuggets this place said ah how about instead of chicken nuggets we make a fish nugget it's flaky it doesn't look too bad i like the way it's crusted and fried on the outside big punch on the outside not like disturbing fishiness on the inside the base is here all it needs is just some epic kind of sauce to go with it let's move on to this my arch nemesis years and years ago i didn't have much money and so i'd go to fast food places to try to no i was just fat sorry i was gonna blame it i'm being poor i couldn't afford food so i had to get bulgogi burgers that's not true that was fat this special bulgogi now what's special about it nothing they just wanted to put the word special there so it's like more words there's no average bulgogi or mediocre bulgogi there's one category of bulgogi that is the special bulgogi here we have the bulgogi sauce the gogi sauce is sweet and savory with hints of pear ginger and garlic is a ridiculous amount of sauce on the bottom and that's not the only sauce on the top an s load a freaking semi truck full of freaking mayonnaise they over sauce foods like crazy i do love like traditional real korean bulgogi it's awesome this is like the fast food version of food that i really do love in korea it tastes almost like barbecue it's very sweet [Music] have you ever seen such a limp beef patty with no personality there's nothing to it some of the stuff i've tried so far i've liked the chicken mozzarella sticks oh my god did you see me i almost fell out of my chair the burger this is teriyaki with an egg now you better believe this is gonna be freaking slathered with teriyaki the build looks nice so far same kind of pathetic beef patty they have enough teriyaki to feed china for two weeks tomato looks nice and fresh and then there's about 17 metric liters of mayonnaise on top let's try it out much better i think the lettuce and tomato are helping it almost feels like it could be a blt there's a lot of eggy flavor take a look at that i've been through some egg yolk there's a lot of mayonnaise coming through so pretty much everything is working for it except for the teriyaki and the beet patty i'll give it like a five out of ten like me on a good day keep it together don't have emotional breakdown [Music] well let me tell you there is a food they invented a few years ago and it is one of my favorite foods ever here it is in all its glory the mozzarella burger let's get it right here we have our third and final course this i forgot what it's called i think it's called beef cheese rice i wanted to show you guys this because we are in asia and so that means at a fast food joint they're gonna have to have a big lump of rice with just some random ingredients they have laying around on the side and then they've just put a couple patties with cheese in the middle and teriyaki on top but that doesn't mean it can't be good oh no that is what it means it can't be good [Music] nope there's just some folks in asia it's a thing they don't feel content they don't feel full unless they've had some rice rice not bad a little soggy helps to um ease the flavor of those patties piece of lettuce it's a it's it's lettuce what are they supposed to do with that should i pretend this is like korean song too they get a little bit of meat get a little bit of rice did i just eat a salad this one is called a double double burger why is it called that to me a double double would mean four here this has two patties and it's all that same kind of like very so-so generic grade quality beef patty that's on everything else two pieces of cheese maybe that's what makes it double double i want this to be good i want it can you guys not see i am rooting for loturia like i want you guys to crush it but everything so far it's like shrimp burger okay chicken all right burger you lost your way [Music] it is certainly double of something it tastes very mayonnaisey there's a lot of meat it just tastes heavy it uh if you were stuck on an island for 30 days you're trying to like reintroduce calories to gain a bunch of weight oh that's probably something you could eat next something with cheese same beef patty tangy brown sauce and then what we really care about here is not the lettuce it is this now that is not fried fish that is not fried shrimp this whole thing is just cheese so even though i don't really love the sauce even though i don't love the beef that mozzarella hockey puck is so delicious and so ooey gooey and stretchy it makes it all worth it [Music] it's decadent rich sinfully delicious with mozzarella handcrafted by the finest italian cheese makers [Music] that slap so hard is so unhealthy it's so high in calories they're so greasy they're so cheesy i am in love with it [Music] that right there is my favorite menu item here at lotoria and i gotta say among all fast food places it's definitely in my top 10 maybe even top six i love the inventiveness i like that they took a risk because a lot of what you see here is stuff that they perhaps borrowed from other fast food chains because it was working for them but this they threw caution to the wind they're completely reckless well guys that is the end of the video logia is one mixed bag i gotta say it's a bulgogi burger the teriyaki it's very forgettable or memorable in the wrong way but the innovative stuff they're doing the shrimp burger is a classic i like that but that cheese disc burger thing that creation with the cheese hole every time you take a bite i love it that alone is enough to keep loturia in my top 100 best food restaurants of all time guys that is it for this video thank you so much
