lord god we just want to come before you this morning acknowledging that you are king of all kings that you are lord of all lords that lord you reign in the affairs of men and lord god we thank you that though you sit high that you are still concerned with the things of mortal men of mortal men you are still concerned about the things that affect us god i want to thank you that you are our our source you have been our source you have been our provider lord you have been our sustainer or you know sustaining our mental health our spiritual health our physical health now we thank you that you are our jehovah rapha that god you continue to be our healer god we thank you that healing and that you come with healing in your wings god i thank you that you are lord lord god i thank you that you are king and that you are a ruler and now god we thank you that though what we see with our with our mortal eyes may seem gloomy and do me but learn i thank that you are the alpha and the omega you are the beginning and you are the end you know the beginning from the very end and we thank you now that at the end of all of this that you win and so god we thank you that you are have have chosen us like god to be a part of your family laga we thank you that you have your hands outstretched all day seeking for persons to come to you lord seeking for persons to come into our relationship with you jesus we thank you for your love thank you for dying on the cross of calvary that we might have a chance to live eternally with you lord oh god in heaven lord you see everything that is going on in our world right now lord god but we thank that our hope is in you we thank you that our hope is in jesus lord god we thank you lord god that we can set our faces like flint knowing our god that once we put the sovereign lord as our helper that lord we will not be ashamed and so god we just declare and ask now god that you would help us to keep our focus on you jesus you the author and the finisher of our faith god we ask that you increase our faith lord jesus for these deeds increase our faith like god in you jesus increase our faith lord god because the lord the son writer says that when we turn our eyes upon jesus that the things of this world will grow strangely deemed logger we thank you that you continue to to restore us lord lord some of us are struggling with so many sins lord sins that beset us but jesus we you know our hearts you know the desire of our hearts like god is that we want to please you in everything that we say and in everything that we do so now we just commit our besetting sins before you know lord jesus you know them the lying the stealing the killing the whatever gossiping the the smoking the weeds blood you know everything that is resetting us but longer we are confident of this fact that there is nothing that you are not able to deliver us from so delivering jesus we bring ourselves to you this morning we lay ourselves before you god understanding that your plans for us are perfect lord jesus we just asked that you were just creating us clean hearts lord forgive us of all our sins cleanse us from all unrighteousness and make us right and holy to come before your presence god i just thank you and i pray in the name of jesus that your holy spirit would come down in this sanctuary and touch every person who is in here right now touch the pastor touch the leader the singers the congregants the media team the musician god touch us in a special way and we pray like god that in the same way your holy spirit will transcend through the media we as lord god to those who are at home and that your holy spirit that lord today will be a day of healing today will be a day of deliverance today will be a day of renewal for all who are hearing and watching and participating in this we thank you that you are the god of time and space and so god nothing can hold you back nothing can hold your spirit back and so holy spirit we give you free reign and we say reign jesus reign jesus reign in the homes jesus reigns in the homes lord wake up those who are sleeping that they may lock on even now that your spirit will touch them and that they will come alive god and want to come and worship with the brethren oh god we just bring this community of central kingdom before you and we continue to ask our god that this church will be an influence in this community that we will be a light in this community the lord there will see jesus lord god in everything that we say and everything that we do lord jesus we ask that you forgive us for the times that we have not been good servants but we answer your renew our right spirit within us we thank you and we declare revival in this nation lord jesus revival in this world jesus and we think that the enemy is fighting a losing battle because jesus has already won the victory so who is on the lord's side who will serve the king oh jesus we thank you and pray that we will be on your side jesus that we will be on your side lord jesus keep us true to you keep us true to you jesus keep us true help us not to lose focus but keep us true to you so just have your own way now jesus take control touch reverend nugent in a way that you've never touched him before that lord nothing that he says will be of him but everything will be from you jesus and so we just continue to of our lord jesus christ and on behalf of the officers members and our pastor who is in the house this morning reverend de ver nugent it is good to be here it's always good when we can come together and praise the lord and the fellowship with one another so welcome to all worshiping with us this morning our leader this morning is sister avaloy mckenzie the preacher for the morning will be our pastor reverend dever nugent and on keyboard we have mr orain shaw he's a decon at the bethel baptist church and i say that way because i don't want bethel to think that we have a reign as deacon here even though we would love to have you deacon sure what one day one day i would like to i don't see any first-time visitors with us but i'd like to say welcome to our sister florence sims sister seems the bible says in november i have something good to show it about i must declare it in the assembly and so sister seems it's good to see you this morning we know that we you went through a little sticky situation there health-wise but the lord has restored you and we come this morning to say thank you lord for your healing worshiping with us also yes let us give god the praise worshiping with us also we have her daughter carol so carol thank you for bringing your mum here and we pray that these this won't become a visit but it will become regular regular right and we know um kobe they might be keeping you away a little bit but we're praying that the visit will be regular praise god as a church we'd like to offer sympathy again to the family of sister lorna taylor the memorial service for sister lorna taylor will be held on thursday october 7th at the east queen street baptist church sanctuary at 10 a.m please remember the family in your prayers let us also continue to remember the family of our brother howard mckay he lived in a saint thomas area saint thomas yes he passed away he was one of our shooting members let us remember the family in our prayers now we move to congratulations as a church we would like to congratulate the youth for christ bible quiz team and i see that there are some members right here in the host so i'm going to invite them to come forward sister yes come miss abigail mackenzie and miss aliyah finley yes please brother rowan make sure they're in in camera frame yes miss tamiya benjamin and mr jordan grant so let us walk in cool thanks for their diligence because as you know it is not you know many young people are distracted today so when you see that there is a group of people young people who will sit down study the word memorize the verses trust me this will be with you for life because when things get tough or when things get good the word that you put in your heart is going to come back to your mind and it shall go forth from your lips so we praise god that you gave of yourselves to take part in the youth for christ bible quiz and as you heard on previous sundays they emerged the winners so we would like to formally um present the trophy to them ever their names of the name of the church is very much on it and i'm going to ask the pastor please reverend nugent to do the formal presentation of the trophy to our young people youth for christ east queen street baptist church winners [Applause] and the other members who are not here today because of the covet restrictions are janae nugent nikolai brown scripture lesson is taken from amos chapter 4 verses 1 to 8. hear this wordy kind of bashan that are in the mountain of samaria which oppressed the poor which crushed the needy would say to their masters bring and let us drink the lord god hath sworn by his holiness that low the day shall come upon you that he will take you away with hooks and your posterity with fishhooks and he shall go out at the breaches every cow at that which is before her and he shall cast them into the palace said the lord come to bethlehem transgress at gilgal multiply transgression and bring your sacrifices every morning and your tithes after three years and offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven and proclaim and publish the free offerings for this liketh you o ye children of israel said the lord god and i also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities and wants a bread in all your places yet have ye not returned unto me said the lord and also i have withholding the rain from you where there were yet three months to the harvest and i caused it to rain upon one city and cause it not to rain upon another city one piece was rained upon and the peace where upon it rained not withered so taken from john chapter 4 verses 19 to 26 and it reads the woman saith unto him sir i perceive that thou art a prophet or father's worshipped in this unto her woman believe me the our cometh when ye shall neither in this mountain nor yet at jerusalem worship the father ye worship ye know not what we know that we worship for salvation is of the jews but the overcometh and now is when the true unto him i know that messiah's cometh which is called christ when he is come he will tell us all things jesus saith unto her i speak it unto thee am he this is a portion of god's word we'll have a you my brothers and sisters in christ we are grateful to god for having called us from last night's rest to the joys and the beauty of today and god in his infinite wisdom has caused us together in this fashion those of us in the sanctuary as well as those of us who are online if you are happy to be alive just say amen with me amen and i want just to join deacon williams in extending courtesies and congratulations to our young people yes the young people of the east queens street baptist church and i don't know why deacon irving i am tempted to say east queen street memorial i don't know why um i have i think i've used that so often and so much it is still in my psyche but the east queen street baptist church and we know we know that god has tremendous blessing in store for these dream chasers the east queen street dream chasers they are and they are going to be doing great exploits come on somebody yes yes and i am just happy to be your pastor at this time and this is just the kingston and saint andrew area but watch it we are sending and putting the rest of the jamaica baptist union on notice because we are going to come ready for them next year tell bethel bethel you better watch it we're coming after you just the same um i want just to also remind deacon melody that when when we have other sheep that does not belong to our fold we are not sheep stealing we are sheep teaching we are sheep teaching and sheep feeding we are not sheep stealing and um we are happy to have our brother with us but i also want to praise god before i preach for what god has done with and for sister sins mr sims your church family just celebrates with you this morning yes yes yes come on somebody give god a praise and here at east queen street we it's a new season and it's a new day and god in his wisdom has raised you up um to be with us this morning and we give god all praise and all glory all right i have said enough dr williams so you would know how much i love you amos writes in the fourth chapter of his prophetic utterances and in the fifth verse in the second to last line which becomes the key to unlocking verse 4 and verse 5 today sister avaloy thank you for leading it reads for that is what you israelites love to do oh my church has gone quiet on me all right so deacon irvin said i must read it one more time for that is what you israelites love to do let us pray o sovereign god of heaven end of earth we humbly bow before you under the eg's of your word lord you have declared through moses in the fourth chapter and the third verse of deuteronomy that it is not your people's prerogative to add or to take anything from your word and hence your son and the servant stands in this holy space acutely aware of that restriction that condition placed upon us and so it is not our intent to abuse your word but to interpret your word it is not our intent to promote ourselves but to allow your word to speak for us and to speak through us and so as we gather in the name of jesus the christ this morning we ask you one more time that the words of my feeble mouth and the meditation of our hearts collectively will be accepted in your sight let this time of reflection let this time of sharing come up to you as a part of our worship and the true worship because you are not seeking perfect people to offer perfect worship you are just asking that our worship be done in sincerity and in truth and so let the words of my mouth and the meditation of our hearts be accepted in your sight for you are our strength and you are our redeemer and the church of god say and the church of god saying amen if you have remotely been following this adjourned through this book of amos by now you would have either concluded that the pastor is absolutely crazy or amos is absolutely fantastic for me it is the latter and not the former amos the bird and bearer is carrying the burden rested on him by god for the nation of israel the israelites as they are called are the descendants of jacob god named him israel to mean you have struggled with god hence the israelites must be considered a struggling group of people they are always struggling to do what god wants them to do and friends i have concluded over my pastorius adjourned that one of the ways we ought to agree that when we speak about god's judgment is the fact that god has the ability to see not just the present but god has the ability to see the future and hence god knows the consequences of the future and would always and will always and continues even to this moment in time to warn us about the consequences of the future israel found herself in such a predicament according to amos amos is at the steps of the temple in bethel preaching again you don't want us to re-ash how he got there but i must remind you that at this juncture the kingdom is divided the ten tribes are to the north and two are to the south under the leadership of a fellow whose name is jeroboam he led god's people to establish two kingdoms the northern kingdom and the southern kingdom hence god sends amos to the north to preach and when you get into chapter four brother dalberry he has basically three problems he has three problems three of them one he has a problem with the women in the city two he has a problem with their worship and the three he has a problem with their waywardness and hence in the latter two verses of the chapter he drops a wonderful warning prepare to meet thy god preach now pastor prepare to meet thy god if you have walked with me thus far family what i would want you to do is to center your thoughts with me around amos's second dilemma on wednesday of last week we spend an hour in bible studies hopefully trying to on ash and on earth verse 1 to verse 3 which is his problem with the women whom he called the fat cows he now turns to israel and israel's worship and says in verse number four and five come to bethel and rebel rebel even more at gilgal bring your sacrifices every morning your 10th every three years offer levin's bread as a thank offering and loudly proclaim your free will offerings for that is what you israelites love to do this is the declaration of the lord god hence that's where we have circled the wagon in order to understand that pericope it is interesting to start at the point where he says that's what you israelites love to do preach now pastor that's what you israelites love to do here then church for the moment he underscores underlines and raises for us the word love he is drawing our attention to that which one fuels us that which fires us and that which fashions us say that again pastor it is that which fuels us that which fires us and that which fashions us you see church anything that you love anything that you are in love with is that which will fuel you that will fire you and that will fashion you and if that does not make sense to you then pastor then if it is not that which fuels that which fires and that which fashions then we must deal with that which we celebrate that which in which we participate and that which we elevate anything that we love don't look at me so sad brother everyone the things that we love are those things we celebrate the things we elevate and the things in which we participate there are no persons gathered under the sound of my voice who would disagree with me that you will not celebrate you will not elevate nor will you participate in something you do not love anything that you love you will find the time to celebrate you will find the time to elevate and you will find the time to participate and if that does not make sense if it is something that you love it is something that you are going to recite it is something you are going to recall and it is something you are going to recount preach pastor nugent preach to yourself in east queen street what you think come then church you it is something that you recite it is something that you recall and it is something that you recount hence church if you drop those words right there in verse number 5 of amos 4 then you are going to see what amos is doing as he unlocks this pericope he is saying to israel there are some things that you are using to fire you there are some things that you are using to fuel you there are some things that you are using to fashion you you celebrate them you edit them you participate in them you recite them you recount them and you recall them and guess what these are what they are whoa says that allah don't look at me son for this is what you love to do you love to talk about worship but it is only an abuse of god's name and god's presence oh so so so how how how do we arrive at that brother dalbury read verse number four of chapter four and he uses the word transgression go up to bethel says the king james version you go up to bethel and you transgress and you go over to gilgan and you transgress even more it doesn't make sense to you i know it doesn't make sense it doesn't make sense it doesn't make sense not true can you not better than halfway through best man it's the space and place where jacob had an experience with god and jacob declared he saw a ladder i believe an angels ascending and descending and he declared truly god is in this place and he used the word beth which means house and el elohim the house of elohim all right now church so best cell really is the house of elohim or the house of god and here what he says you are growing up to the house of god and you are transgressing in the house of god can we preach a little bit here in the church you you are going up to the house of god and you are transgressing in the house of god and then you go over to gilgal which is the circle of stones and you transgress even more you will not understand it you see church unless i you give me the space to break the back of this monster for you can we break the back of this monster if you are to really understand it then you must is what i call for the sake of memory historical rebellion okay what do you mean brother ruin so we we we've got to go back to the root of the separation of the north and the south kingdom okay bear with me bear with me i can't read it but if you want the biblical reference if you want the biblical reference i will send you back to second kings chapter number 12. second kings chapter 12 read it in your own time i'll try to paraphrase it quickly you get the context the historic context as to why the kingdom was divided so for the interest of the sermon the kingdom is divided as a result of what happened jeroboam jeroboam was one of solomon's key allies can i say that again church okay but he had gotten so powerful in the kingdom that solomon sought to get rid of him and so jeroboam took the decision to flee and guess what he did he went to egypt it was in egypt that he found refuge and rescue okay now church fast track the argument i'm still dealing with the historical rebellion solomon dies and his son ria bohem becomes the king and when reborn becomes the king the friends of jeroboam sense for him in egypt and said come back home and so he returns from egypt praise god and upon returning he goes to reaborn and says to reobor him with the elders your father used to tax us heavily what are you going to do tell us how you're going to treat us and rehoboam consulted the elders and the elder says if you listen to the people you'll be a good king and then he consulted his contemporaries those who grew up with him and they said if you listen to them old people you're a weak king so what you need to do is to make the burden harder that that was a miscalculated move by rio bohan but reform nonetheless told them that that's what he was going to do if you thought solomon was cruel i am going to be worse than solomon and so jeroboam led the insurrection and split the kingdom so ten tribes stayed to the north uh-huh and two to the south but that's not the interesting part of it ron you know what he did the first thing he did was to build them two golden calves two golden calves and then says to them this is your god who led you out of egypt [Laughter] oh [Music] one of the calves he placed in a place called bethel and the other one he placed in a place called samaria this is your god who brought you out of egypt that's what he said to them and here we come back they can they can become to come back to chapter four verse four amos problem is that you go up into the house of god and you rebel against god because you have historically been rebelling against god from the time of terrible one sister mitchell the frightening argument is in the line in verse five this is what praise god forgive me church this is what you love to do you love to rebel because it fuels you it fires you it fashions you it is what you celebrate it's what you elevate it is what you participate in it is what you recite it is what you recall it is what you recount and what you are doing is to go back into the history of rebellion and you are saying this is worship before god no wonder then the church is so powerless no wonder then some of us are so powerless and even though we call on the name of god our words are empty because we are coming from a root of historical rebellion against god we have marched around the golden calves oh god we are marched around the golden curves we have set up these idols we have set up these issues we have set up these things in the place of god and we declare that we are in worship to the almighty god no wonder the church no wonder then church because amos amos's problem in the text the historical rebellion is a historical rebellion of idolatry he's saying israel we have become cultish in our practices east green street east green street if you think we are too far removed from the text you will be so surprised we have not gone too far from the text for you know what we have done we have taken counsel from people whom we have set up as our golden calves and we bow and jennifer to them anything they say we do and they have become the gods in our lives and god is placed on the back burner it is simply called called idolatry anything that comes before god against church we come hoping that the church can swing we come expecting to see people flock and flood the church of god when we have removed god to the periphery god is only a figment of my imagination god is only a god of convenience and god is only god when god suits me to be god it is a catching up and a cutting up in and of ourselves that it is simply idolatry historical idolatry has dominated the church of the living god for we are setting up ourselves as if we are gods come on church of god lord help this person this sunday morning person behave yourself in god's purpose but i can't help it because like jeremiah is like fire god i beg you this morning help me to remove any idol that there might have been set up in my own life set up in my own sight set up in my way help me to tear down the historical rebellion that has taken place over the generations because god is a spirit and they that worship you must worship him in spirit we don't have the time since that seems the text says i'm going at the house of god with them rebellion but you know you know what is interesting he says and you go to gilgal and you transgress even more oh don't miss it don't miss it don't miss it don't don't miss it who started this thing jeroboam where was jeroboam before he divided the kingdom egypt what was that gilgal the circle of stones which reflects a part of the egyptian culture however he went down to egypt saw what the egyptians were doing borrowed some of what egypt was doing brought it back to israel and let it go so when you don't worship in bethel you could go to gilgal and you can gather around or preach pastor you can gather around the stones you see or you can come to bethel on a sabbath but you can go to gilgal on a wednesday to do something else you see church of god the point i am making is that this historic this historic rebellion suggests that there are those who gather in the house of god on a sunday morning as we are gathering but there is another day when they go to their circle of stones oh we see you in the spirit [Music] we see you in your council we see you on your stone and we see you as you make the conversation about east queen street baptist church we see you but if we can see you it means that god has already seen you um may neither go sorry sorry dick nick and irvin deacon irving the text now frightens me again because the text says this is what you israelites love to do lord help us holy ghost help us holy ghost help us holy ghost [Music] we gotta go we gotta go we gotta go but there is not only the historic and historical rebellion in the passage amos is preaching brothers and sisters against the historical rejection the historical rejection he says in verse 4 you bring your sacrifices every morning and you bring your tithe every three years some says three days it's not three days it should be translated properly every three years and we could talk about the irregularity of that but you're fulfilling some of the requirement of god's word but then he slaps them in the face in verse 5. he says your rebellion has demonstrated your rejection why because you have offered what 11th bread come on our church as a thank offering sister abba it it doesn't sound any way i know but let me see if i can find a biblical reference for you in exodus not exodus leviticus chapter 7 verse number 12. leviticus chapter 7 i think it is i hope i'm correct today verse number 12. it reads if you present something for thanksgiving in addition to the thanksgiving sacrifice you are to present on 11th cakes preach pastor on 11th wave wafers verse 13 he is to present his offering cakes of 11th bread with his thanksgiving sacrifice of fellowship don't miss it now church go back to verse 12. when you are presenting the thanksgiving sacrifice it must be presented with what on 11th bread guess what they were doing oh i see somebody asking what is it about 11th and i'm living all right all right it's basically baking powder and baking soda that makes it rise okay you must not put any of those ingredients inside of it you you know i think it is a passover the economy that if you know a good jewish restaurant and you want some things to buy you have to wait until about the time of passover why because they will take out everything sometimes they discard the whole kitchen because anything that yeast or eleventh would have touched had to be purified gotten rid of come back the thanksgiving offering was to be given with on 11th bread and here they were giving god what them please well you know he's going straight i mean i trouble with you this morning brother run brother ruin brother dalbury brother sutherland as men in the house of god we can't afford to give god what we feel like it is amazing that everybody else gets from us what they would like but we feel and when it comes to god is what we feel like doing it is not just a rebellion but it is a historic rejection and guess what church the frightening part of it brother dalberry is that it is disguised as worship [Laughter] it is disguised as worship and you know that you're in trouble in our church because worship requires that whatever you and i are giving to god must always be of the highest quality yet they were giving to god what god obviously have rejected and they were saying take it if you think the passage is only talking about israel we are making a sad mistake for sister sims we are living in a time too where there is this blatant rejection of god and it is not we're not talking about people outside of the church we like to talk about people outside of the church but there are those who are part and parcel of the church who will only give god what they feel like sorry church well i've been here for a year now so if you fire me that's fine it is it is what they feel like so if i don't feel like giving if i don't feel like going if i don't feel like serving if i don't feel like participating if it does not suit me and my style and my way of seeing things count me out faster yes i will count you out because if you were giving it to me then i would have to beg you but you are giving it not to me you are giving it to god and so if you say count me out i've just got to move on with god because i can't wait on you i can't stop for you i can't park behind you i have to just give god the very best of what i can church of god i know that my best might not be up to your standard but when god looks at my best my bread might not be as big as yours but it is coming with the ingredient that god says it must not have any lemon inside of it my my offering might not be as big as yours brother ryan everyone but when i give it i'm giving it according to the principles and the precepts and the conditions that god has laid on me it must come in a certain way when i speak for god my vocabulary might not be as big as yours my education certification might not be as wide as yours but i am doing it as i understand god has placed on me and i can't allow anything to tarnish anything to taint anything to sustain that which god has asked me to give to him so east queen street if we are going to give to god anything then that which we are gonna give to god must be of the highest quality for if you are giving to god less than the highest quality you are rejecting god all right mr undone my my church has gone quiet on me the frightening things is the sims that the text says this is what you love to do and i drop a third one and we can close it's just the word i want to use is historical rescript historical rescript and it's it's i couldn't find another word right it's a word rescript it really means a proclamation of royal decree rescript a historically script why do you say that pastor read verse 5. verse five says when you give your free-will offering you publicize it and publish it because you want everybody to know [Laughter] you you want no no again church let me close my bible because i've gone over time family the historical rescript as i call it this historical proclamation talking and telling everybody what you have given the free will offering was started originally in the in the wilderness experience when they would benevolently give an offering without it's a movement of the heart it's a movement of the spirit it's a movement of concern and you understand that this is what god has called you to do and so you give it nobody has to know it's just you and god it's not like the thanks offering or any other sacrifice that was made it was just a movement of god that nobody else but god knows that you were moved to give guess what they were doing they were competing with one another and so because they were competing with one another rowan they had to tell everybody how much they give when they give and sometimes for the purpose they were giving i have to trade carefully i have to trade carefully what a must seem to have had a problem with it's not the giving but it is the gloating or the boasting about what you have given in other words is as if you were they were saying we have paid god or in modern church language and parlance sister ava we have blessed the lord oh we have blessed the lord so we have to tell everybody how much we have been of a blessing to god and to god's church and to god's work it's what i call the historic rescue again church if you think we are far removed from that you have made a sad mistake because if you want you you want to know how close we are but everyone like some people give your offering you know respond or recognize it all right i told you we are not very far we are not very far where we have to allow it to be known come back church there is nothing that i can do to repay god shall i render to the lord for all his benefits towards me i will take the cup of salvation and i will call on the name of the lord for if there is anything i would want you to know church is how good god has been to me so when our singers this morning said did i not wake you up this morning did i not clothe you in your right mind and when you walked upon that problem did i not step in on time when you were weak a long life journey my angels carried you saw you would know oh lord preach now pastor so you would know just how much i love you [Music] all right dr murray don't look at me so frightening this is what israel and the israelites love to do this is what fires them up is what fuels them this is what fashions them why for it is what they celebrate is what they elevate and in what they participate for the recite they recall and they recount how they worship god but that worship is a worship tainted by a historic rebellion scrutinized by a historic rejection and underpinned by a historic rescript close then with me so what then is the answer to that the answer to all of that comes i think in verse 11 or verse 12 amos says prepare i don't want to preach it because i don't really thought it yet but the canary there are those who believe that you are the ones they are going to face they are those who who believe that i am the one the pastor is the one you are going to face prepare to meet your god because he told them already in verse 2 and 3 that guess what your walls are going to be mashed down and you are going to be led out like like fish on hook they are coming the babylonians are coming for you and you are going to be led astray and you are going to be placed on a march you think god is asleep you think god is not watching you think god does not know that you have decimated that he created and dishonor his name in worship he says prepare to meet dear god the singers will come and sing for us i sought the lord and he answered me and saved me from my enemies they look they who look to him are radiant they'll never be ashamed this poor men cry and the lord heard me and save me from the enemy for the son of god surround his saints he will deliver them he'll deliver them magnify the lord with me let's exalt his name forever [Music] i saw the lord and the answered me and deliver me from every fear those who look on him [Music] magnify [Music] glorified lord with me come exalt his name forever this poor man cried and the lord her knee and saved me from my the son of god surrounds his saints he will of me that is telling me to go on today we bow before you in the east queen street baptist church god for the last year and a half you have kept these doors open but you have kept so many of us away from this antibody jesus high glory some have not made it back and regrettably some will not make it back but we who have been privileged to come we come declaring here i am to worship here i am to bow down here i am to say that you are my god hallelujah this morning god will lift ourselves up before you because we have tasted and we have seen that the lord is good [Music] thank you jesus god we thank you that by your holy spirit sisters sins has walked to this altar it's not a sign or a show but just out of gratitude because when we think of your goodness and what you have done for her her soul cries out hallelujah thank god for saving her god illness could have taken her down and out but god oh god she could have said i need to stay home but god she could have said i am not returning what she has come to say but god and god that we pray that that which you have already begun in her life you will see it to his completion and that you will continue to restore every fiber of her being to praise you in spirit and in truth god i pray with one more time and for the young people the dream chasers of the east queen street baptist church god i thank you for them some are here some are not here but there is something about them and something inside of them and something that they are exhibiting that has caused me to rejoice in my spirit i pray god one more time for the baptism of the holy spirit just touch your rest your hand upon their age hallelujah those who are not here those who are home and those who are here this pastor praise god silva and gold have i known but such as i have i give thee whatever thou has blessed me with the power of the holy spirit that you have rested on my head i ask you god in the name of jesus to rest it now on the dream chasers of the east queen street baptist church these young people god yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah [Music] fire them up fill them fashion them according to your love and according to your will god i beg you that you will continue to bless them god i pray for those who continue to make these worship experiences possible yes lord for the sound team the av team for the the office staff for deacon williams and the sister meredith who continues to throw themselves every week a hundred percent into making worship possible in these times god i pray in the name of jesus that you will restore upon them the joy of your salvation and that by the power of your spirit you will raise them up to continue to be yours your daughters your servants in the house of faith our lord and that they will recognize that i am a servant first of the lord jesus christ god before we close we pray for the needs of east queen street but lord the needs will never frighten us you know why because you are our shepherd you know our need and all our needs you will you will provide we have seen you provide for this church we have seen you provide for this church we have seen you provide for this church we have seen you god we hear in the spirit whose report shall we believe we declare we will believe the report of the lord something tells me lord that in a few months time you are preparing for a tremendous burst of souls in this church jesus god i beg you expose the layers of the onion peel back the onion to its core oh god [Music] so once again we call gold street rosemary lay ladle street i hope on street duke street smith lane wildman street victoria avenue east queens street a parade north street east street hanover street yes jesus port royal street waterline and god we pray the power of the holy ghost the power of the holy ghost will use east queen street baptist church as the army base lord help us by the power of the holy spirit you will set up a heavenly campus you will set up an army you will set up base on the compound of the east queen street baptist church because we are sending the signal sons of god daughters of god children of god arise [Music] arise with fire so thank you jesus for today's worship thank you lord for what you have said and we pray that there might just be one in the sanctuary as well as online whose commitment to you has been wavering bring that one back home and there might just be one whose life is not yet where it ought to be god we are not about to condemn people we want you to rescue them use east queen street as a rescue boat for the anchor holes and
