Dump truck paint and new trailer

it's rare that i'll usually do all my own stuff but this uh i've been so busy working on my building i just brought this and dropped it off had this worked on i knew they were gonna change that but it's got all new hangers brand new leaf springs u-bolts and new brakes front and rear now i'm driving this to have air plumbed to the rear for my new trailer five grand is probably technically more than this truck's worth i mean not totally but but this truck's been really good to me so i figured it earned it this is really the first time i've ever taken this truck on the thruway you know road with the 65 mile an hour limit and uh you know it's actually nice it does 65 that's about all it does though check this out this truck's all set up now with air to the rear got a brand new 20-ton trailer they welded a new rear plate on the truck look at that look how nice that is i guess that's the trolley brakes oh and we got all right and this is new here too [Music] that wasn't there before it was just that little oh look how light these are all right first time towing a new trailer let's try stepping on the brakes oh they feel really strong that's nice look at that oh it's so nice having brakes that 12-ton trailer was this guy got going on right here let's see all right cody downhill that's mass to the floor we'll call that all right check it out i just got d.o.t and he used the word phenomenal shape about the condition of my vehicle how do you like that i like it that's why i did all that stuff i was like dude the truck just got new brakes we knew everything and the trailers brand now [Music] these are so much easier to do than the other trailer [Music] all right so here's my new 20-ton trailer and i put it next to the old 12-ton one just to kind of compare them so this should be the same dimensions that one's uh 12 tons of electric brakes i was gonna order so here's what happened this i've been using this one for years and when i got this thing i did a nice job fixing it all up all right this is it when i first got it in 2011 now here it is after i fixed it up repainted it did new brakes new tires new deck fixed all the lights and it was looking pretty good for a while but this was eight years ago now it's looking rough again the electric brakes are not that impressive um so i didn't want to mess up again i just wanted to get a brand new one so this is so this one should have much stronger brakes it only weighs a ton more than this one so this one weighs 6 000 pounds or three tons that one weighs eight thousand pounds or four tons so fairly noticeable behind the truck plus i have like three things that weigh 12 tons so that was maxing this one out regularly where this one is you know 12 tons on it that's meant for 20. it's fine and i can now tow this behind my bigger dump truck too that's how the trailer salesman talked me into getting the 20 ton because and then he they set the whole truck up for the air too so that was like 2 500 bucks now the truck is is set up they did a nice job there too so all right so let's uh just try moving some stuff around on you this what else is nice it seems like it's almost lower that was another big deal i didn't want it to be higher and you know it it feels like an inch lower i like that look i mean look how much bigger the uh frame is on that compared to this one i like this box for the binders and stuff too keep them all out of the weather [Music] that's two speeds push it in fast so i got brand new back tires for this because they are that needs to be changed a little bodywork fix this that crack right here so so oh so this [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] standing on the truck here this has nothing to do with the truck but i should have maybe been filming i just brought this over here to grease it notice tiny little hydraulic leaks from under this cover it's like oh probably just a loose hose and i'm realizing it was leaking right from this weld and you could see that one spot after grinding that down that was the leak so i'm just gonna hit that weld real quick [Music] pull down this goes that way pressure on that yeah all right that fixed it [Music] sweet that's fit that's fixed all right let's call that four ounces how many ounces are in a quart all right quartz big though 48 drops i got it how many one two three four five six ounces and a quarter seven eight forty eight there we go i did it it's precisely measured yeah we got it good enough is it on the crack was centered [Music] [Music] [Music] hey diva i'm just doing some primer working under this body and we just didn't want to fall so it's got that [Music] but there's no way it's wrong it's got three three things holding it painting the body we've got that all cleaned off and just brush painting the whole thing thank you i ordered a new tarp this one is very ripped up that got painted right there and i should have been uh filming what i've been doing right here i didn't even this this was looking pretty messed up and i just changed this section out straightened it that looks a lot better [Music] all right and uh some broken stuff right here see this needs to be like right there to tie all this together let's get the steel plate right there uh and now towards the stairs actually we're getting it okay okay let's close it that's where it's so that feels better it's all bolted together tight a few bolts right there tighten some stuff together now let's get this fiberglass fixed [Music] here's the fiberglass stay later hard everywhere so that's [Music] um it's dry now all right to fix these stuff that stuff that's always falling off [Music] if that tesla truck is good that's coming out in a year these companies are going out of business with with this tinfoil this is just a complete joke nice professional work right there that's kind of flimsy though all right let's go all right cody let's go back to the dump truck you know what this fella this was in the bed i and then another one [Music] this time when i'm president i'm getting rid of that just like dealing with those people such a pain they're so slow so so so so [Music] a little more [Music] hey all right as far as tarp systems goes this just attaching it onto one end and having a weight on this end has been by far the easiest to deal with every time i put those rollers on here i'd always smash them this just nothing goes wrong with that super easy all right my antenna disappeared here and i went and got a new one but there are no threads down in there so let's here's the whole everything but i want to use this type of antenna i'm just messing with this oh didn't want that to happen all right looks like you can get it from here all right there's oh there's the antenna wire that's easy so a new one all right see antenna branson here happy thanksgiving and don't forget all right that works this was the radio that was in my zuzu trooper all throughout high school and i used to like making tapes from the computer with mp3s from napster and uh you plug the cassette deck into the computer and then hit record on a consent and you know what's nice about cassettes is they don't skip the time it was either cds or cassettes and cassettes didn't skip so i could be off-road and hitting jumps and stuff and uh without skipping music the hinge on this has always been really stiff that's getting a lot easier like that okay that works so much better than it used to i'm gonna get that a little bit tighter oh look at that that is that went together nice like that would never like latch because the hinge was always fighting it all right this thing here i actually put this on here and the knob just fell right off of it for selling it like that how does this all right i got look at that this is just trash that knob look i'm pulling that and ain't moving okay oh yeah so much better yeah i just changed the passenger side there is the part number on that in case you have one of these trucks a box look what i found i found the metal handle to replace that plastic yeah that looks the same see this one is metal where this this is just plastic and then you go to actually that one's still pretty strong the other side one i went to open the door and it just broke off right in my hand that's better [Music] [Music] when did that happen look at that it's got this out of that in the vise and you can't reuse this because it gets squashed i had luckily i had another one and we put this in and it goes together [Music] oh i see what happened it hit right there did that happen taking the turn into my driveway i got a really sharp turn pulling in my driveway i almost want to move this now this can't stay like this where it's in a position if every time i make a sharp turn that the trailer breaks this hose so ah all right so i think wow feel better about that let's do the same thing to the other side like that okay all right so that's how i reset up those airlines let's just try jackknife in this thing and just making sure none of them get damaged [Applause] it's further you'd ever want to take it but how we doing oh crap when they mounted the trailer plug all right so the airlines are in good spots now you know i had that jackknife to the extreme and they didn't get damaged so that's how it should be uh that though on the other hand did i move some stuff around on this hitch this i'm gonna take this and put it up here and take that and put it just below it or over it needs to be in a spot where it can't get smashed in any situation okay so i'm gonna move this all the way to the top so that's going to bring it up oh yeah no problem so i put it right about here about right should be [Music] [Music] [Music] let's frozen do it like this 17 okay that works hey cody can i have that glove can i have that nope look at that mag drill [Music] no it's it's close i'm just gonna finish at the plasma airlines back here that this needs to protect [Music] and i d-bird the inside of this [Music] so [Music] [Music] what so that's probably [Music] so okay all right that is fixed all right this is what i'm gonna do here so i'm all done with this hitch um i'm gonna leave that right there because i'm not seeing a great way to relocate that um that was a pretty extreme situation that i broke it in so it's probably not gonna happen again um if i do break it again i will move that i mean i guess options are i mean if it went that way a little bit you know that would be safer um it could almost be like right there that's we gotta be fine so but this moving this hitch was important the reason that was important because i want to be able to tow that new trailer with my 10 wheeler and if i have to move the thing on it every time i'm not going to be using it so but now where are we from the ground we're 33 inches from the top ford is now 33 inches and this is 39 but that's close enough i mean the trailer is up all the way so so that way i can tow that new trailer with either one of my dump trucks and this being a bigger truck can tell more and see that's definitely close enough where i can hook up this trailer to either one of my trucks and be good to go all right i gotta do one more thing on this and then this is ready to go [Music] ready good boy shhh the trucks looking good did a bunch of maintenance it needed new brakes new tires brand new
