DONUT REVIEW: Who Has The Best Donuts?

[Music] what is going on guys and welcome back to my channel since it had been a minute since the last time I had some donuts on my channel when I went to Vancouver I went to go see a few concerts I saw Drake in concert [Music] and then I also saw Brock Hampton and both shows were absolutely amazing but since I was there I figured it would be a perfect chance to try and find some of the best doughnuts in Vancouver so based on all the recommendations I got on my Instagram stories which there were a ton there seems only two places that were like the doughnut hop spots a van and I personally wanted to be the judge of that so there was luckiest and Khartoum's doughnuts both in downtown which is where we ended up staying when we were visiting so I decided to get a good variety from both places and I thought it would just be like a fun video to have some doughnuts with you guys and of course to see who has the best doughnuts in the city okay so we have Lucky's Donuts here they look pretty good actually they sir have to walk back and I actually couldn't find comparable flavors at both places I wanted to see if I could get like you know frosted sprinkled from one place and kind of compare to the other place which is cartons doughnuts but cartons is more of like a specialty kind of donut shop a lot of their doughnuts are actually vegan which is totally fine probably just equally as delicious but their flavors are totally different Lucky's has more of the traditional and some funky flavors the cardones has more their unique flavors and what I wanted to see was who makes a better doughnut you guys are amazing by the way because when I put out on Instagram places to check out in Vancouver I had like hundreds of DM so many DMS of all the recommendations and by far these two spots were probably the most recommended should I do okay I'm gonna start with Khartoum's doughnuts where all of these except for one are vegan this one which is called London Fog London Fog the only one that's not vegan I don't think I've ever had a vegan doughnut before so this is gonna be interesting gonna start with a salted caramel cake doughnut not probably the least exciting just wanna see what it's all about [Music] yeah four big enough hmm and this could be because I haven't had a donut in a while but chocolate cake donut nice and moist the frosting is really good nice and sweet I like it now I'm gonna do one of their specials for the month this is a maple pear from mobile donut it's a nice yeasted doughnut making such a mess crumble it from one all [Music] so good [Music] Parnelli was telling it right now so this one is their citrus please confirm vegan donut it's nice and fluffy and so good that's so good oh my goodness it's like lemony and sour but sweet oh my goodness I think this is my favorite so far hey okay so the last one is there the only one that I got that is a non vegan donut and it is filled called the London Fog and she told me that that it's like a caramel icing and it has a vanilla bean whipped like filled with vanilla bean whipped and Earl Grey tea so should should be interesting it's a heavy donut [Music] interesting the Earl Grey tea is actually really strong really strong tea flavor but I don't mind it it's not my favorite it's still really good but I think my favorite out of all of the cardamoms donuts in the citrus plays now we're gonna do Lucky's and these ones are enormous and they're super heavy none of these are vegan but I'm still gonna compare and see whose are better for the first I'm gonna start with a cake donut just like I started with a cake donut in cartons - and this one is the strawberry old-fashioned how to get me a strawberry gonna love me some strawberry so it has a crispy outer edge so when you bite into it it's like pie crust on top but then the inside is really soft and moist and then the strawberry icing is really good that's a good cake doughnut it's like that's solid that's good so now man these things are you trying to Norma's Hedy well is this just a wrinkled doughnut gotta love it sprinkles [Music] so very good but very Joey the texture is very different than the cartoons we'll see we'll see how the other ones are man I wish I had a scale to weigh this thing this thing weighs like at least a pound like oh my goodness got a Boston cream thing's enormous want to see what they can do with like very classic don't [Music] again the dull is really chewy and Joey wouldn't think bad it's just different the inside filling it's very don't like taste anything doesn't have a lot of flavor but the chocolate on top it's very good final doughnut and the final line from Lucky's oh my goodness it's big this wing weighs a ton super heavy very dense this one's one of their featured doughnuts for the month its adult still a shape it looks good don't steal a chase like this one a fire has a super delicious caramel filling it's super filled so it's properly filled and the way that the cinnamon sugar is on it with the dome it tastes just like a churro it's really good this one was my favorite from Lucky's by far mmm look at that one was delicious as far as filled Donuts go I liked that doll stole a chain Jonah I liked it better than the London Fog from Khartoum's but overall I think cardones actually wins like their yeasted doughnut and their bear one cake donut that I had it was so good cardones you win so this was actually a hard decision um I almost call this one a tie because they were both so good but of course I had to choose one and since I loved three of the four doughnuts that I got from Khartoum's Khartoum's was the winner but I'd honestly highly recommend both places if you find yourself in Vancouver and honestly what can I say I just love doughnuts [Music] my happy place [Music] [Music] then I had to hit up one of the other most highly recommended places to visit in Vancouver and that happened to be a vegan pizza place and the entire menu was actually vegan I had no idea that Vancouver was just such a hub for vegan food but I don't discriminate I just love good food this place has all vegan pizza ice cream it looks really good this will be my first time that we're trying any kind of meat in face plant-based before so I hope because [Music] [Music] the mini trip that I had to Vancouver was such a blast we had such a good time of course enjoying all of the food and I was only there for just a couple of days but I still made the most of it but I really hope that you enjoyed this short video on some of the food that I had Vancouver my next video will be a full food tour in Dallas Texas which will be more like my Hong Kong video because we were there for a lot longer than we were in Vancouver and I plan to do these periodically when I travel so leave a comment down below for where I should go next I'd love to come to your city and to see what kind of food your city has to offer but one last thing before I leave you guys I just wanted to leave you with one quick message so I'm actually recording this the day before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving will have just passed when you're watching this and I just want to be I don't know if this is silly but I just want to be your best friend that you always have by your side reminding you that if you got a little off track over the holidays because maybe you enjoyed an extra slice of pumpkin pie or maybe even ate an entire pie that it's not the end of the world and you have plenty of Life to Live eating on track these moments with your family are priceless and you don't want to taint every holiday with your guilts or negative feelings about eating the food that you want with the ones that you love it's a simple message but I hope it reminds you it's going to be okay and you guys know that I thoroughly enjoyed myself and there's no reason you shouldn't as well just get back on the horse right after and before you know it you'll be prepping your food and consistent in the gym and everything will be okay lastly I've also listed some amazing Black Friday deals for my women's specialization and the biggest sale of the year from PE science and since you're watching this on a Sunday you'll still have one more day because both of them will end day at midnight so make sure to check out the description box below and don't miss out on these amazing deals I love you guys so much and I hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving until next time bye [Music]
