today I introduce to you a new world also invented in shisha it's called quit Titus what is quit Titus it's a spiritual disease that gives that gives up quickly you cannot endure because it's not always the fault of young people maybe it's a parents your parents pamper You your parents over protect you and you have never learned the importance of not giving up it avoids difficult situations that's me by nature I don't want difficult situations it takes the path of least resistance and that's a real problem and this is their famous expressions people who have quit Titus this what they usually say I give up I do not deserve this I cannot take it anymore in Tagalog so brother tamanna it up is enough that's English Tagalog enough is enough so what do they do they break up they avoid family members I was very sad this year when I learned a particular family the father is a follower of Jesus the mother is a father of Jesus and I like to believe the son is a follower of Jesus but something happened there was a breakdown of relationship so during Christmas the son did a visit the parents new years the Sun did not visit the parents during father's day the Sun did not call the father the parents tried to arrange gathering but they don't want to have anything to do us up now with the parents my friend that is giving up you give up on relationship and you know why people give up at the back of their mind they feel it is useless I hear people say useless talking to my parents useless I met parents why don't you talk to your children and you know what they tell me talking to my children useless they give up don't give up what's the message today don't give up share with me don't give up don't quit read the message is so simple everybody read it one more time don't quit why is this so crucial let me tell you why even secular research have proven successful people don't quit quitters don't win winners don't quit there was a research made between Japanese students and American students why is it that the Japanese students consistently score higher in the math exam is it because of IQ is it because of genetics so the researchers tested a group of American students a group of Japan students grade one they gave them puzzles difficult puzzles to see what will happen and this is what they discover the American students on the average spend less than 10 minutes in solving the past because they give up the past the puzzles are very difficult to solve you cannot solve it the objective is to see how long you will try solving it then they look at the Japanese students on the average the Japanese students focus on solving the problem forty-seven percent longer around 14 15 minutes so they discovered the reason why the Japanese students score higher in math is because they don't give up as fast as American students and this is true in all aspects of life sports art music you need endurance for example how many of you realize the first dictionary the Webster dictionary written by Noah Webster it took him thirty six years to complete the dictionary it takes time my friend in life you need to understand don't give up easily many people don't realize Henry Ford have you heard a form Henry Ford went bankrupt five times before he became successful can I share with you the message today is very simple everybody read this don't quit Winston Churchill gave a speech part of that speech has David don't quit if you invite me to speak I can say don't quit don't ever quit don't ever ever quit don't ever ever ever quit now my friends what's the message today don't quit how do you solve the problem of quitting endurance hope o Meno to Hoopoe manner that's the Greek word for endurance combination of two Greek words first Hoopa under Meno to remain this is a military term describing soldiers who will not give up their position Hoopoe Meno I will enjoy but biblical endurance is more than hope o Meno biblical endurance has to do with the idea of not just passivity everybody read it is endurance combined with assurance and certainty that what we are looking for is going to happen that is biblical endurance I want to teach you biblical endurance don't quit how do you do it now what does the Bible have to say about biblical endurance together remember the former days when after being enlightened the word enlightened comes from the word photo light force when your mind was enlightened by the Holy Spirit to know the truth remember the former days when after being enlightened you learn the truth you enjoyed a great conflict of suffering in other words in the olden days when you come to Jesus you suffer that's given and that's why Christianity spread very fast because you cannot afford to be a counterfeit Christian if you are a counterfeit Christian you will never enjoy so the name of Jesus was never maligned today many people call themselves Christians but they don't follow Jesus so the name of Jesus is malign all over the place Christian eyewear a bunch of hypocrites in the olden days they suffer they injure that's the idea of this verse you endured notice everybody read a great conflict of sufferings it's it's not just suffering great sufferings example what kind of suffering let's read partly by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulation and partly by becoming sharers with those who were so treated this verse is saying they made them into a public spectacle the word spectacle public is theater so it's like a theater they made fun of Christians I remember a Chinese pastor during the Communist time he was put in jail for 20 years in those 20 years he was asked to march around the city wearing a hat describing like I am stupid I am a Christian they made fun of him that is what ha what was happening in the early believers they suffered two reproaches the word reproaches I had the idea of shame in a pinup ah ha ha and tribulations the word tribulation has the idea of pressure you like to get down you cannot loss of money loss of prestige loss of job and you are put on a tight spot and sometimes you are put in the arena to be eaten by lions sometimes you are put on the cross to be crucified they made fun of these people by becoming sheriff with those who were so treated you know jesus warned his people that you must endure are you aware of the teaching of Jesus I'm going to describe to you four kinds of people in this room Jesus gave a parable on the sower sowing the seed how many of you remember the parable of the sower and the seed raise your hand I mean if you do the seed is the word of God remember and Jesus described four kinds of hearts four kinds of people the first one according to Jesus this is the meaning of the parable the seed is the word of God those along the path are the ones who hear and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts so they may not believe and be saved so today in this room there will be some of you who are like this one you hear the Bible you hear the word of God when you leave this place the devil takes it away nothing happens in your life because the devil is real he's active in our life second time was on the rocky ground are the ones who received the word with joy they're excited they like Bible study when they hear it but they have no root they believed for a while but in time of testing in time of trials when there are problems they fall away I know people like that they enjoyed the Bible sorry Wow nice but pretty soon you don't see them now you see them now you don't perhaps some of you may be the second type now there's a third type the third type or people in this room is this one the Word of God the seed fell among thorns stand for those who hear but as they go on their way they are choked by life worries riches pleasures and they do not mature there are people today who like Jesus but they don't realize in Christianity you got to make a choice you have to have priorities clear they like Jesus they are like the world they are like Jesus they are like sin friends Jesus tells us gotta make a choice so these kind of people don't let you people ask me are these believers based on my study of the scripture the first three are not genuine believers and when I'll tell you why later they seem to be believers they seem to attend Bible studies but they do not continue you want to know genuine believers this together the seed on good soil stand for those with a noble and good heart meaning you are sincere you want to know Jesus you want to follow God you're sincere you know you're a sinner you know you need help who hear the word retain it and by preserving produce a cup you have fruit so ladies and gentlemen how do you know you are a real Christian answer is there fruit in your life Jesus tells us by their fruit you shall know them by their fruit if you tell me you're ten Bible studies every day every Sunday but I look at your life you're committing adultery immorality stealing cheating my friend I don't judge you the Word of God judges the Word of God says by their fruit you shall know them so the book of Hebrews tells us endurance is the sign of a true believer what do I mean let's read it together you showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully this issue of your property how did they show sympathy to the prisoners in the time of Jesus when you go to jail they don't give you food for hundreds of years prisoners are not given food the family members must provide food when the Christian are arrested they don't give them food who will give them food other questions and by giving food to other Christians you expose your identity as a follower of Jesus these people did not mind that they shared they showed sympathy and notice accepted everybody read joyfully the seizure of your property now be honest with me if somebody steals your stuff if somebody steals your stuff your things how do you feel are you happy will you be angry of course are they angry but the early believers accepted the seizure the word seizure is a very dramatic word it is forcefully it is not true a court process they force it upon you there is violence they take it away from you and the Bible says they responded with joy how can that be ah the secret of endurance is this how did they accept it with joy answer even with knowing that you have for yourselves a better position and a lasting one the secret is called theology the secret is called knowing the truth the word knowing comes from this word Guinness Co comes from the word intimacy they know you'll know that just in purity you know in your heart you know the promises of God and you know the promises of God notice two things read this louder another better possession and a lasting one not just better lasting let me give you an example let's say you live in a bad place lots of tips no water no toilet it's an awful place and somebody tells you you know I want to make you a deal I want you to walk from where you are now walk all the way to bug you and when you come to bug you by the way the one making the promise his name is uncle would you like William which millionaire do you like me to give an example super rich uncle Billy Uncle Bill Gates he gives you a promise if you are willing to walk the conditions you must walk from where you are staying now you go to bug you when you reach bug you this is gonna give you 100 million dollars will evolve now there oh why you like money why will you work and make all of those sacrifices imagine walking all the way from here to bug you how many days would that take on the way as you were walking somebody starts making fun of you he wants to pick a fight with you he's laughing at you will you stop walking and fight him oh you keep walking what will you do will you fight or will you keep walking why because you know you have something what now they're better and lasting possession my friend if you don't know the truth about the promises of God and who is giving the promise you cannot in your you will quit therefore he turns us therefore everybody will do not throw away your confidence to the tower your confidence in God which has a great reward you must know the promise you have need of endurance so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what was promised notice endurance is imperative it is not optional the promises of God many times has conditions attached let's read this condition everybody you have need of endurance so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what was promised now let me ask you how will you know the will of God you see my friends you really study the Bible how many of you have read the entire Bible raise your hands higher higher you've read the entire Bible higher you know my pair is next time I ask you all of you raise your hands because how can you claim the promises of God when you do not know the promises of God how can you end or if you don't know what to endure for do you not understand why there are many shallow Christians why there are so many shallow believers they think they are saved but they are not safe I will prove to you today that genuine faith will produce evidence let me repeat we are saved by grace not good works but the grace that were saying will help evidence and you'll find that in the next verse let's do this together one more time everybody don't throw away your confidence which has a great reward friend Christianity serious it's not be taken lightly you need endurance so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what was promised now let me give example of the bit of God before I go to the next verse can you give the example of gradual you see endurance is keeping on doing the will of God that's the meaning of end Iran you keep on doing the will of God that means you may have to quit bad things in order to keep on doing the will of God don't quit what does it mean don't quit let's hear her testimony my name is Lisa Manansala I've been married to my husband Manny for 12 years now and we have three beautiful children what I'm about to share I do so with my husband's full permission the first few years of our marriage were rough very rough my husband was abusive using fear anger and threats to control and manipulate me I married very young and I was living in a country that was not my own with an abusive husband so I felt very alone and hopeless I spent all of my days walking around on eggshells scared that I would say or do something that would throw my husband into a fit of rage I lived with constant fear anxiety and uncertainty as a result of these conditions I became very depressed and I even considered leaving my husband I remember looking at him one day in a fight saying if your goal was to destroy me I think you finally succeeded congratulations I really felt emotionally destroyed but I would always pray for my husband every day morning noon and night I would pray and plead to God for my husband and for God to help me and fix my situation one day I hear clearly heard God tell me that I was to no longer complain about my situation or about my husband I was to continue praying but instead of focusing on what was wrong with him God told me I needed to start fixing what was also wrong in my own heart God told me yes your husband needs to change but Lisa you need to change too I had been so focused on what I wanted God to change around me that I was not listening to his voice of what he wanted to change in my own heart so from that own point on I continue to pray for Manny but my attitude was different my perspective was different God was teaching me that I had to find my joy in him alone regardless of my circumstances God was teaching me that I needed to be complete and secure in his love even if I did not feel loved from my husband so from that point on I changed my perspective but I kept praying day after day and year after year I prayed we also sought help from Christian councils over time I saw that my husband began to gradually change over the years I saw him start to become kind his temper began to subside he began to read the Bible every day and I saw him really desire to grow and obey God by God's grace today he is a loving kind man of God with no trace of the anger he had before he truly desires to follow the Lord you know sometimes I would even look at him and I'd say who are you how to recognize you anymore because by God's grace he is a completely changed man of God and I really praise God for this he's gone God assured me Lisa if you had left your husband if you had walked away too soon you would have missed the miracle that was already in the works if you had given up too soon you would not have seen my power to transform it is only by God's grace alone that I stayed and that he helped me this is the verse that God gave me during the times of trouble Psalm 27 verse 13 to 14 I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living wait for the Lord and confidently expect the Lord be strong and let your heart take courage yes wait for the Lord and confidently expect the Lord I am here today to declare the goodness of God God is the God who hears our prayers and God is a God who loves us today by God's grace my husband Manny and I we serve with CCF's family ministry our deepest desire is to bring families closer to Jesus because we know that our only true hope can be found in Jesus Christ alone thank you you know many times you quit on praying the Bible says you don't quit let's read this together one more time you need up endurance so that when you have done the will of God let me ask you what is God's will for your life today don't give up I will tell you what's God's will for my life today God's will for my life is to keep on serving him God's will for my life is keep praying for you guys praying for me pray for one another we pray for each other we pray for seas here God's will for my life is to be faithful and one of those faithful acts you need to do is called prayer what do I mean many years ago there was a man by the name of George Mueller have you heard of George Mueller George Mueller wrote in his diary I prayed for my five friends he wanted his friends to come to Jesus after a one and half year he wrote in his diary my friend came to Jesus praise God thank you God thank you Jesus he prayed for the four for the four ones after five years another one came to Jesus he wrote down thank you Jesus he kept praying for his three friends day and night traveling not troubling sick or not sick he kept praying after another six years the third one came to Jesus and then on the 36th year he wrote in his diary my other two friends have not yet come to know Jesus but I'm praying I'm praying day and night do you realize he kept praying on the 52nd year on the 52nd year after he committed to pray for his five friends both of them came to Jesus except on the fifth the first year he died he died without seeing his friend come to know Jesus on that on the day he died on the funeral service by the grace of God God used all kinds of ways his friends came to know Jesus in what I'm trying to say is this don't quit keep praying you will not know when God will answer your prayer one of my favorite verses is the promise of Jesus he tells us us and you will receive sick and you will find not it shall be opened unto you remember and he repeats that promise and he says to everyone to everyone who asks receives and he who seeks finds to him who knocks it will be opened now grammatically I want you to know something this is the promise of God it is the will of God grammatically as means keep on asking grammatically sick means keep on seeking you don't give up you want to keep praying if you know it is God's will you keep asking you keep praying and how will you know God will answer your prayer he made a promise look at what he said what man is there among you when his son asked for a love will give him a stone if he asked for a fish he will not give him a snake will he if you then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children everybody with how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask him that's a promise God knows what is good for you he will give you what is good what is enough good he won't answer singles raise your hands Singles higher singer just worried about me singles singles you are my you from the wrong person amen so say hallelujah God is good okay don't give up praying you know why we give up praying because there seems to be no answer you know why you give up praying because God does not always answer your prayers based on your timetable but one thing I'm learning don't quit till it turn to your neighbor tell your neighbor don't quit don't quit praying don't quit on your family don't clip on don't quit on your loved ones don't quit let's do it simple English don't quit and your you want the hard one hoop oh man oh say that with me Hoopa may not impress your friends of God and on who is giving the promise we live by faith your faith is only as good as the object of your faith can I tell you the object of my faith it's not people is not myself the promises of God and God himself I live by faith centered on who guardeth and his promises that's what the Bible is saying we live by faith therefore don't quit tell your neighbors don't quit notice he tells us we are not of those who shrink back to destruction this worry of the word apostate we are not apostate we don't swing back the word destruction is the word perdition you see the Bible tells us true believers he's saying don't swing back not if she said we are not of those who is limbo we are true believers but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul he's saying we are not like those false believers because we don't swing back we are the true believers what's my proof that true believers will not apostate will not give up I will show you from the Bible Jesus wants us Jesus tells us everybody win because lawlessness is increased most people's love will grow cold your love for God your love for one another the danger is it gets cold but he wants us everybody with the one who endures to the end you'll be saved friends salvation is guaranteed to true believers true believers will endure to the end what's my proof let me share with you first John 2:19 let's read this together they went out from us they apostate they left the faith but they were not really of us for if they had been of us they would have remained with us but they went up so that it would be shown that they all are not of us so don't be shocked when you see some people now and then you don't see them anymore because Jesus tells us you have true believers and he have counterfeit believers who are the true believers danger was my proof another verse everybody read this now to him to God to Jesus who is able to keep you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of his glory blameless with great joy who is going to keep us from stumbling who to him you know my wife and I when we meditate on this verse I cried you know why I cried because I look at my life and I realize it is God who kept me here without God out of Istanbul long time ago it is God who has preserved me after this day and it is God who will preserve me until the day I see him it's all about him it's not us to him who is able to keep you from stumbling to make you stand in the presence of his glory blameless with great joy this is simply because the Apostle Paul wrote I am confident of this very thing he God Jesus he who began a good work in you will complete it will perfect it until dead of Jesus in other words endurance is a byproduct of grace and Durin's is the evidence of genuine faith now is it possible for the Christians to backslide yes I'll give you two examples today as we close first example his name is John Mark the second example is job how he ain't dude to understand the Bible is good to examples agree all right what's the message today don't pit because God does not quit on you provided you are a real Christian what if you quit well the Bible tells us one day there was a guy called John Mark he quit John Mark was a young missionary he quit and when he quit the 'south the apostle paul was not happy Paul made this decision Barnabas Barnabas wanted to take John called mark with them but everybody but Paul did nothing it wise to take him because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had that continued with them in the world John Mark committed a war you know was a wall absent without the Licata john mark made Licata he quit and Paul said don't bring him Paul wanted John mark to learn a lesson he wanted John marked with discipline don't bring him but Barnabas wanted to bring John Mark because Barnabas was the cousin of John Mark now God is amazing he allowed Paul and Barnabas to lead two teams but at the end of Paul's life what happened to John Mark this what Paul said only look is with me get everybody read get mark John mark get him and bring him with you bring him to me because he is useful to me in my ministry do you realize you can give up on God but God will not give up on you like John mark God restored John Mark and John mark is the one who wrote the Gospel of Mark he's got amazing tell you praise God you see sometimes you quit but God does not quit on you he restores you amen is that a comfort now what about Joel how did job survive all of the problems let's find out what's the message today don't quit let's read this as an example brethren of suffering and patience we count those blessed who injured you have heard of the endurance of job and the outcome of the Lord's dealings that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful amazing the Lord is full of compassion and mercy everybody read this together there was a man in the land of uz whose name was job and that man was blameless upright fearing God and turning away from evil according to job chapter 1 verse 1 is job a good man now they're good men in fact he was so good that the Bible tells us God even commented the Lord said to Satan have you considered my servant job there is no one like him on the earth blameless upright fearing God turning away from evil so one's job a good man yes job had no idea what was happening in the heavenlies ladies and gentlemen there are two parallel worlds the physical world and the spiritual world we live in the physical realm we don't see what's happening in the heavenly realm this was what was happening Satan and God are having a discussion Satan said God job likes you because of something job answered the Lord does job fear God for nothing have you not made the heads about him in his house and all that he has on every side even bless the work of his hands and his possessions have been increased in the land what Satan it says this job is good because you have blessings you made him rich you made job so rich wonderful family the Bible tells us good family that's why job worships you but Satan said put forth your hand now that's all the years he will surely cushy job has no idea there was a cosmic debate all the angels were listening Satan's thesis job only like you because you bless him take away his material things and he's gonna curse you friend that is the theology of Satan that we are incapable of loving God we won their Santa Claus God all the time and you know what God said the Lord said to Satan behold all that he has is in your power only do not put forth your hand on him so Satan departed from the presence of the Lord notice something without God's permission Satan cannot touch you God said all that he has is in your power only do not put forth your hand on him don't touch him and the Bible says Satan did something Satan so he's always wanting to destroy you God allowed Satan to put job to the test job had no idea God took away all his cameras on his ship seven thousand of them three thousand cameras oxen Dumpty's all of his possessions and worst of all all of his children that I cannot comprehend I want to imagine how your job and God took away everything including your family how would you respond I will probably quit quit the ministry what I tell you years ago when something bad happened to my family I thought of quitting job could have quittin yes I quit we look with Tamara I wanna buy you know what job said when he lost everything amazing job said naked I came from my mother's room naked I shall return the Lord gave the Lord has taken away blessed be the name of the Lord his job new theology God Gibbs got Tex and he continued blessing God amazing through all of this job did not sin nor did he blame gun friends many things will happen to you you have no idea why Satan did not stop round two God told Satan did you see job is a good man he did not curse me God was so proud of his children you see job you know what Satan said ah let me touch his body and he will curse you and God said okay you can touch his body but don't touch his knife remember without God's permission now I think and happen to you and me and should God allow something to happen to you do you have that conviction in your heart that God knows what he's doing job was probably confused he had no idea what was happening and the Bible tells us Satan the Lord said to say that he's in your power only spare his life Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and smote job with sore boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head my friend job was physically afflicted I want you to imagine now you lost your family you lost all your possessions and now you are full of physical pain willikers God but the message today don't quit the only reason why you cannot quit is because you have that amazing relationship with God and God gives you the grace to survive without the grace of God job can never survive you know what happened the job miss his job became a tool of Satan I know somebody misses or mrs. fresh your hands all the missus press your hands higher higher mrs. vicious what's this his wife said to him everybody read do you still hold faster integrity are you still following God curse God and die Satan use the wife to speak to job so ladies be careful what you tell your husband Mohammed I gonna I praise God job did not listen to his wife because that is the voice of Satan listen to me every time Satan is telling you to commit suicide every time you have that thought from Satan that death thought of committing suicide are you listen to me that thought of committing suicide is never from God it's not even from your stuff it from Satan Satan wants you to kill yourself his goal is to destroy us praise God Joe replied Joey speak to his wife you speak as one of the foolish women speaks shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity in all this job did not sin with his lips its job an amazing person I tell you I cannot comprehend how a guy can survive would you like to know what happened the job alright this is what happened to him at the end of chapter 42 remember from chapter 2 - chapter 42 job was confused he could not understand why he wanted God explained to him Lord why why job was in pain do you understand but he never quit but he was asking God why why I can sympathize with job because sometimes you'll have pain and you don't even know why but look at the last chapter job discovered something because he did not quit on God he became more intimate with God job answered the Lord and said I know you can do all things and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted job finally realized this is from God God is in control he allowed these things to happen I trust you and then he concluded job said I've heard of you by the hearing of the ear but now my eye sees you job says I used to know about you but now I've intimacy now I see you and then job said I retract and I repent in dust and ashes you know what I discovered people who are intimate with God are broken broken people they surrender their rights they stop demanding why why why no more absolute trust broken people are intimate with God intimacy brings brokenness Lord I'm sorry I misjudged you that's what job is saying I trust you and you know what having a job the Bible tells us you must remember this verse everybody with the Lord restored the fortunes of job when he prayed for his friends and the Lord increased all that job had double in job chapter 1 he was described as the richest man in Asia and now god bless him double when the God John when the Lord restored the fortunes of job everybody when he prayed see job never quit praying my friend don't quit if you quit you will never see the fulfillment of God's promises don't quit don't quit on God and the Bible trusts us I love this everybody the Lord bless the latter days of job more than his beginning the Lord blessed the latter days of job more than his beginning amazing truth and would you like to know how many children job had job job you slept 10 children remember 10 and they all died look let's read this together now job had seven sons and three daughters god blessed job double when he goes to heaven someday whom will you see his former children so 10 now 10 in heaven how many 20 after this job live 140 years longer more and saw his sons and his grandsons for generations that's why I'm telling my son let your grandkids marry early so I can see for generations now Elmira job died an old man full of days what made job will come again friends many times you cannot survive apart from the grace of God amen that's why as we close let's read this together therefore do not throw away your confidence which has a great reward you need endurance don't quit so that when you have done the will of God what is the will of God for your life keep on doing what God wants you to do that is God's will don't quit on your marriage don't quit praying don't quit on your relationships and don't quit serving God and don't you quit living a holy life you keep on doing what God wants you to do don't quit on God thank you
