[Applause] [Music] let's bow before Almighty Yahweh Father we come before you during this special feast your feast of tabernacles we thank you for bringing us here allowing us to gather to worship you we thank you for the food and for the blessings you've bestowed upon us here during this feast thus far and we pray that it be a blessed feast for the continued days we're here and that we all exhibit attributes of your son or Savior Yahshua the Messiah we thank you for all the wonderful things you have done and we thank you for those here and we give you all praise and Yahshua's beloved name Alleluia I'd like to welcome you all here for you may be seated and it is certainly a treat to see everybody here and know many of you have driven a quite a distance or a flown quite a distance we have a sister in the faith angel from Kenya and then salmon and Elizabeth all the way from Nigeria arrived today so surely like to extend a very warm welcome to them I know us you know we're gonna talk about Israel a lot today by the way so I know it's like going to Israel and it's a quite a trip it's a great Fred but it's a long trip that takes about 26 hours from a here to there and I would imagine maybe a little bit longer to Kenya or Nigeria so I'd like to extend a welcome to everybody here it is quite a blessing to have you so today I want to do something a little bit different last purp Israel I was introduced to a belief actually I heard this belief prior to whatever really took interest in it truthfully but uh last trip to Israel this November I had the opportunities that with elder Don Esposito he's an elder there in Israel's been there for many many years and he believes has this theory that the temple was not on the Temple Mount and for those who aren't familiar with geography don't worry we're going to look at some slides and some pictures and hopefully get a feel for the geography though it's kind of hard here it really helps when you're there and you can sort of see and touch the the the area but I think you'll you'll know enough to certainly understand what we're doing we're since our trip last November I don't know I mean I've probably spent five six hundred hours maybe more looking into this I mean I've really probably invested more time with this than any belief there here recently and it's not a Salvation --all issue per se but it's certainly important because I do believe it could impact in time prophecy so exactly what is this belief you know what what is this believe the title here is discovering the real Temple Mount where the belief is the temple was not located on the traditional Temple Mount but instead in the City of David and that is understood by some today and I think it is a growing the truth that many more are understanding but that is a theory and again the reason this is important it's not a salvation will issue but the reason it's important is because it could impact prophecy let me give you a scenario if the Jews would ever adopt this belief now for that to happen I think some sort of major archaeological find would have to occur because they have a thousand years of traditional we all know how hard for addition is the brain so if they found something perhaps that would convince him the city of David was the place where the temple stood they could start building the temple tomorrow and you know year to years whatever they could have a standing temple as of right now there there's some major impediments that the Dome of the rock the the everything on the Temple Mount today prohibits the building of a temple so they're at a standstill but again that impediment would not be there if the temple was originally in the City of David so let's talk a little bit about the geography and I'm gonna use the wireless mic for this testing one two three testing okay nobody can see that maybe okay good or not too many maybe you can look at the slides dim the lights maybe if you would see if that helps so if you want to dim the lights more okay does that help very good okay let's jump right into this this here is the Mount of Olives this here is a Temple Mount this is a western wall this is the upper City by the way this did not none of this existed the city that is during the time of King David and King Solomon so I hear is the Kidron Valley the Hidden Valley is here you know you've all heard that the Valley of Hinnom Gahanna well that's what we're talking about there the Hidden Valley it's right there and then here they call this the Central Valley it's also cut the Tyrolean Valley or the Evalia the cheesemakers but what we want to really focus on at least right now is here so this is 12 acres 12 acres of land and this is known as a city of David here you see the opal Mount so you have the City of David or Zion you have the offal and then you have this a third know which we'll talk about probably I think tomorrow but this is a the Temple Mount the third Hill Josephus refers to that within as writing so this gives you a little bit of a review of the geography there within the city of Jerusalem but keep in mind when we talk about Jerusalem many people when they hear Jerusalem we think about this and this but they don't think about this or this here that was the original Jerusalem that was the original champion safe city that's a city that David conquered the city that David built that's the city that David fortified as a city that Solomon further fortified Solomon did not build anything up this way or here it was here and actually as well see he further expanded the city of David as we'll see in Scripture okay so here's a few more geographical points to consider okay there's temple mount right here Dome of the rock all right here many people by the way as well talk about they believe that dome with the rock is the location where the temple stood we'll see why that's not true they lost a mosque one of the holiest sites within Islam today a Wailing Wall the Wailing Wall now again this is believed to be the closest to the temple the today and this is the most sacred site for the Judaism as well the Church of the Holy Sepulchre so Jerusalem's have divided the old city is divided into four quarters today you got the Muslim Quarter the Christian quarter Iranian Quarter and the Jewish quarter so this is the old city Jerusalem as it is today but understand this did not exist during the time of King David does that make sense this slide this area right here did not exist during the time of King David okay and got the awful mountain the awful mount is we'll find this is actually where the temple was is the awful mount and as we'll see Solomon connected this with the City of David and we'll talk about that as we go on okay so here's a few more slides again this is the traditional Temple Mount and that is 36 acres in size and we'll talk about that it's just important to realize the size the sheer size of the Temple Mount this is your full mount and this was or is the City of David there's a he hung spring that is very very important to realize the ji-hun spring as we'll talk about it's the only spring within the city of Jerusalem today and as as far as history bears out the only thing that's ever been there this is called the Opera say on the Opera the offal in the Temple Mount and we'll go through that a little bit more so ok possible locations for the temple so over the years there's been many many locations speculated where the temple might have been for about a year I believe that the temple was here because we know through historical writings that the priests could see the Mount of Olives on the eastern side and that would allow for that I don't believe that today but I did at one point the majority of those believe that the temple was right here Dome of the rock and we'll look at that rock and later this message another location is a Muslim the fountain the below the is the mosque and as we see here a possible location which I believe now is the City of David there's another depiction this is Ford versus Antonius and we're going to talk about this really more tomorrow fortress Antonia very very very important very critical to what we're talking about dome of the rock again house the mosque is there so this is what many believe as I do the where the temple stood and how it looked that was position we have the 'true temple mount there and you notice we'll talk about these more tomorrow but Josephus that speaks about two colonnades they did exist historically they don't exist on any depiction today as models and is really a museum for instance so there's a Gyan spring again is very very important to realize the distance of the key on spring so if you live in the Gihon spring here here's a temple - about a 1/4 a third of a mile away so just keep that mind keep that in mind it is uphill so again this is a depiction that how many believe that the temple would have low you have a work force Antonia here this would have been a sixth son one hundred foot span two colonies we'll talk about that more tomorrow so don't we're not going to focus on that today and here's the temple and here would have been the key hung spring okay so I want to show you this video many people they don't realize today that the City of David is an actual archeological site the theory that this is the City of David is fairly well recognized by most scholars most archaeologists there's a very very little doubt the very little speculation most agree and that's why this is so important is most agree that the location they called out the City of David which was discovered about 100 years ago by the way you know so many of I forget what it is they said like 15 percent of archaeology has only been discovered of you most archaeology within the Land of Israel is still waiting for discovery and they have been doing major major excavation within the City of David I saw this video post on my facebook a while ago but it does a really good job explaining the City of David what's there and the historical significance so if I could ask someone in the booth area to get this going it's about five minutes so bear with me if you would watch the video I think you'll learn something and then we'll proceed from there so we're looking at the City of David from here an arena Haman serves as the outreach coordinator for the city of David welcome to the City of David it's the home to the ancient biblical Jerusalem and after 150 years ago everybody thought that the ancient biblical Jerusalem lies within the confines of the old city right behind you within the walls there so the question is what happened 150 years ago and will ease the ancient biblical Jerusalem she then helped answer that question by explaining of the City of David lay hidden for nearly 2,000 years until a British archaeologists began a discovery that continues to this day Christ be standing in a magical place right now this is the place when Charles Warren came through the fissure that he found he saw something and when Charles Warren saw this he knew that he rediscovered their ancient biblical Jerusalem was this the beginning sort of under the unveiling of the City of David in the modern time exactly because now he's thinking over two thousand year period where nobody knew where the ancient city was most people thought when they when they that's what they saw in the old city that was entering the political Jerusalem it's only when he found this that he discovered but wait a minute that ancient Jerusalem lies outside of what we call today the old city the discovery of this tunnel system known as warren shaft visually tells how king david captured the city and brings the Bible to life when we saw this we suddenly saw exactly how the picture came together and many times when we do excavations we also don't know what we're looking at and then we have to go to the Bible and that starts explaining it so it's the Bible and the excavations and the excavations of the Bible coming together giving us the full picture of ancient Jerusalem further down they found where men became kings most of the kings of Israel was anointed where we standing right now we are standing at the place of anointing and Isaiah says he will draw forth water with joy from the springs of salvation in fact the City of David echoes with the people of the Bible Abram when he met Melchizedek but then we get to David to Solomon we get to Isaiah when he was giving his prophecies on these very walls here Jeremiah afterwards when he had to speak about the destruction that was looming over Jerusalem all those things happening exactly were we standing right now more than 10 years ago archaeologists uncovered another biblical site the pool of Siloam there was fed by the nearby gijón spring it's the place where jesus healed the blind men and also where the Jewish people would gather for the feasts of the Lord three times a year all the men had to come to the Mikve in the pool and from there get ready to go to Temple Mount and this is the walk the final is saying that all the pilgrims can do again when they come to Jerusalem Haman sees this final ascent as a merger between archaeology and prophecy something amazing is happening Chris because we said that we are now exclude I think this road and a game prophecy is being fulfilled because it says in Isaiah build up build up the road the highway and it says remove the stones for my peoples return one ongoing excavation is this tunnel leading from the pool of siloam to the Temple Mount Amon says it reveals the past and opens a door to the future one of the city of David's most ambitious projects is this excavation called the gavotte II where the entire history of Jerusalem is being revealed as if the rocks are crying out you can see exactly how she slowly disappeared from civilization because one city was built upon the other and you could see how the city could have lost hope thinking who's ever going to discover me again until God says but in a time of favor nothing can stop it and that's what we see in cubot II Jerusalem is slowly being revealed Amon sees prophecy unfolding we starting to see in the last decade the blueprint she's starting to share what she looked like to us again so you can see how prophecy is feeding up as we go it says Hittner our email Father who me shake off your dust arise take your rightful place Jerusalem if you see the excavations here on a daily basis you can see the buckets flying you can see the dust literally flying about how she is shaking off her dust she considers her role in the City of David a privilege I call myself the luckiest person in the world and luckiest girl in the world because I have the opportunity to take what we see here and tell the people about the City of David about the ancient Jerusalem and every person that is passionate about Jerusalem and serious about Biblical prophecy needs to know this Chris Mitchell CBN News the City of David Jerusalem okay wasn't that interesting I do apologize by the way it hopeful it wasn't offensive to anyone the titles but uh you know I thought it was a worth worth a watch I mean it really shows how the city of Jerusalem is coming back from from that from the dead really and what I really find amazing with with her one of her statements is that they're just now beginning after all these years are just now getting to discover Jerusalem again the the city that we call Jerusalem today that we see with the temple man in the old city in the new city and in the the the four quarters that's not the ancient city of Jerusalem the ancient city of Jerusalem is that crescent-shaped hill six hundred feet from the Temple Mount that is the old city Jerusalem and again there's really very little doubt there's there's very little dissension amongst scholars as to whether or not this is a City of David there's sufficient evidence to really show for most anyway that this is indeed the City of David and I believe it fits right into prophecy and we're going to see that there's a connection we're gonna look at it right now there's a connection between the City of David and Zion and also the the temple location and you know for a long time I did not believe this but I I'm convinced now for the most part 99.9 convinced force and convinced that all we have to do is simply open up Scripture you know it's amazing how much information is in the Bible it really is amazing it's just phenomenal how much information we can glean when we simply read the Bible because it cuts away all the traditions so I want to share with you several scriptures and what we're doing is I'm gonna connect the dots here showing that the City of David is also Zion and Zion is the place for the temple does that make sense okay let's let's I can continue on here so 2nd Samuel 5 or 7 it says nevertheless David it took the stronghold of Zion and in keep in mind the Zion here this is referred the Jebusites City the city that David took it says the same is a City of David so what do we see here we see a connection between two very important places we see a connection between Zion and we see a connection with that with the City of David there one of the same as design the same is the City of David so there's a parallel there's a connection or is the temple the temples on Zion we know that scripturally now if you go to Wikipedia or other sources they're gonna say there's three different locations for Zion now that might be true from a traditional standpoint but there's one place for Zion from a standpoint and that's the City of David that's the only place we find within scripture identifying the City of David or is ayan with the City of David the other is a simply tradition okay first chronicles 11 verse five it says in the inhabitants of jeff's said to David again the Jebusites thou shall not come hither nevertheless David took the castle or the stronghold of Zion listen which is what which is the City of David so again it draws a connection here a parallel between two places Zion and the City of David and again that is such an important truth to realize they are one in the same they are synonymous and keep in mind two we see here that the Jebus or the Jebusites Zion or the City of David was a stronghold as you can see when you go there so is Ray there along the Kidron Valley and also along the Central Valley it serves as a protectant to that area okay Psalms 2 verse 6 it says yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion what's important here or it draws a connection between a Zion and the holy hill or Yahweh abode where yahwah's temple was Psalms 20 verse 2 it says ascend the help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion so again the sanctuary here is a reference to the temple and then we see again Zion so again where is ayan Zion is a City of David Wright esos first row says Zion is the City of David Zion is also where the sanctuary is and keep in mind when this was written in the Psalms there was no additional City of David the Temple Mount did not exist as it does today the ancient city as we find right now it did not exist as it does today the City of David that present shape Hill again between the Kidron and the Tyrolean Valley was it it was it okay Psalms 51 18 through 19 says do good and thy good pleasure into Zion build the walls of Jerusalem so we see here connection between science ylim then thou shalt be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness with burnt offerings and ho burnt offerings then they shall offer bullocks upon the altar so where do they offer bullocks where did this occur or this occurred within the tabernacle on the temple right it had to be a holy place or we see here that this was weird that this was in zion so we see that Sian was a place for what was for sacrifices was for worship was where yahwah's house was where the temple was and where was ayan Zion was in the City of David Psalm 76 verse 2 this is the most important verse I think of all the collection we're going to look at Psalm 76 verse just as in Salem Salem's an old name before Jerusalem for those who don't know Salem Jerusalem also is his tabernacle so where's his tabernacle and Salem and where Salem his dwelling place in Zion so again we see here the Zion again Zion is where the City of David and what else is in Zion the tabernacle and that is in Jerusalem I think this of all passages connects the dots for me Psalm 76 verse 2 very very important to the study ok Psalms 99 verse 2 it says Yahweh is great in Zion and he is above all his people again showing that Yahweh's presence is located within Sian and by the way there's very little discrepancies or or today's design is not is not the old location of the temple again the question is where is I and of course scripture says Zion is the City of David okay Psalms 1 or 2 16 and verse 21 it says when Yahweh shall build up Zion he shall appear in his glory and is Shekinah to declare the name of Yahweh in Zion in his praise and Jerusalem so where is it going to where will his presence be Zion and again Zion is the City of David Psalms 132 verse 13 it says for Yahweh hath chosen Zion he hath desired it for his habitation that is literally where he abodes you see there's no there's no arguments there's no debates here Zion is where yahwah's house was located in Zion is the City of David we could simply stop this message right now I believe scriptural in show where the tabernacle was where the temple was and was within the City of David Joel chapter 2 verse 1 this is prophetic it says blow ye the trumpet in Zion and sound an alarm in my holy mountain let all the inhabitants of the land tremble for the day of Yahweh cometh for it as night hand so again what do we see here we see that the Zion is connected with what we're see we see that sign is connected with Yahweh's holy mountain what do you think the holy mountain represents the holy mountain represents where he were he dwelt the holy mountain represents a temple so I want to review these one more times the I consider these are two most important verses to remember second samuel chapter 5 verse 7 one more time this is nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion which is what which is the same as the City of David so Zion is a City of David would you agree with me at this point that the scripture shows a connection between design in the City of David I think so I think it shows a very strong connection with the City of David Zion and again Psalm 76 verse 2 the scripture I believe is most important in this study it says in Salem or Jerusalem also this is tabernacle and is a dwelling place in Zion so again it connects their Jerusalem the temple the tabernacle and sign and again we know that Zion is also the City of David so we see a my opinion opinion absolute evidence showing a connection an undeniable connection a parallel between Zion Inn and the City of David and again scholars don't debate where the temple was the scholars will say the temple was a Zion or what scholars will do those it will say Zion though was not always in the same location the Zion was the City of David they would they will acknowledge that most well but then they will say also the design was a Temple Mount or show me proof for that claim I don't see it I don't see it I don't think you see it historically that we're gonna see a lot of information especially tomorrow with fortress Antonia what Josephus says and what Eusebius says and some other scholars and historians in antiquity I want to focus on the art we know that when David conquered the City of David he brought the art so let's read about that first chronicles 15 verse 1 it says and David made him houses in the City of David where's David City of David as also Sion he made houses there and prepared a place for the ark of Elohim what do you think the ark of Elohim represents it represents Yahweh's abode and it says he pitched Ford a tent and before we talked about what we see here let me give you some history with the different locations for the Ark of the Covenant we know that yahwah commanded Moses to build the Ark in the wilderness we know that the Ark remained with you Israelites in the wilderness now after they conquered Canaan we know that the ark was then taken to Shiloh where remain for 370 years roughly and as we see here after David conquered the Jebusites city he then brought the ark from Shiloh to the City of David and we see here that he put a put this Ark in a tent and I believe this significant serious this was really I believe a foreshadowing if you will of the of the temple now we as well see the temple may have been somewhere else somewhat but it was still within the city of David which again is this crescent-shaped 12 acre plot of land about 1/3 of a mile downhill from today's Temple Mount we also see evidence for the ark being in the City of David and first Kings 8 verse 1 it says in Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes achieve for the fathers of the children of Israel unto King Solomon and Jerusalem that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of yahweh out of the City of David which is what which is Zion so again we see here the City of David is connected with Zion now where did he bring the ark from or again it was out of the City of David or Zion it says here that the part that the ark was brought out from this city or as we've already seen Zion in the City of David are synonymous they're one in the same that they are not different they are not unique they are literally one and the same also keep in mind that during the reign of Solomon the City of David was still isolated within this land Ian in today's archaeological site known as the City of David and we'll see he expanded that I'll show that in just a moment but for the most part it was still within about a 12 acre plot as we see today in the archaeological site again known as the City of David this is one reason why by the way the geography is so crucial we need to understand the geography and when you're there really opens up I know for those of you who went with us to the Land of Israel like me it just opens your eyes to new and new truths about Scripture I want to talk a little bit more about the a geography I've mentioned the the Aqua I have not mentioned another key word though and that is Milo so yeah they aqua the Milo and the awful these are three very important locations to know so here is an illustration so so we see here the Milo right here be awful and the Aqua was then again the City of David so the Aqua first the City of David the Milo this was a ravine this was a ravine that's separated and then you can actually see if you go to Israel today you can go to the city of David and it's amazing because you can still see it you can see where they filled this Ravena with these different type of stones it's all amazing stones and they're unique they're unique they're not the same stones you see on the one side or the other side there are unique stones Solomon built that up during his reign as we'll see here in just a moment and the offal we know that this was actually the location of whistle and put the temple and keep in mind that when he filled in the Milo or this ravine that he that he expanded the City of David we'll talk about that so first second samuel 5 verse 9 it says so David Walton in the fort and caught that now the force simply refers to as a fortress it was a place of a refuge of safety because of his strategic location again you had the tyro peein valley on one side he had the Kidron Valley on the other side you had the Valley of Hinnom going the other way so it's very very well protected and it was valued for that so again it was called a fort and he called it what did he call it the City of David and David built around about from Milo and Edward so you see that here again this is the Milo and he built from the Milo inward so that was again the City of David it was about again twelve acres in size and we also know as I mentioned Solomon filled in this Milo first Kings 11 verse 27 says and this was the cause that he lifted up as him against the King Solomon built Milo and repaired the breaches of the City of David his father so we see here that it says he built milah this simply means that he filled in the Milo he filled in the ravine that again separated the all whole from the city of David now we actually see a description of this in Psalms 122 verse 3 it says their Jerusalem is a building as a city that is compact together what do you suppose that means compact together or in the Hebrew iske baare compact and it literally means in the Hebrew that that it was joined together that it was joined together so Jerusalem is joined together what does that mean or Jerusalem is joined together when Solomon filled in the Milo he filled in the Milo and he expanded the Aqua the City of David with your fool you see understand he filled in the Milo and the city is joined together with the offal does that make sense ok good ok very very important to realize Psalms 122 verse 3 originally Jerusalem was less less of a size and and then again Solomon further expanded the city so we also know this we we know that the temple was built on a threshing floor so let's read about that sudden chronicles 3 verse 1 it says then solomon began to build the house of yahweh jerusalem and mount moriah Briana appeared unto David his father in the place of David had prepared in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite so we see here that Solomon built the temple and now Mariah now we also know that the temple again is in Zion so what do we see here we see the Zion and Mount Moriah or synonymous are the same thing and by the way that's really nothing new most scholars would agree with that but they would simply say that Mount Moriah and Zion are on the Temple Mount not within the City of David and yet again scripture says that Zion is not on the Temple Mount Zion is with in the City of David and again from an archaeological standpoint there's really no dispute there really isn't archaeology has come a long long ways in the last hundred years and they know where the City of David was and the City of David again was a third of a mile from today's a traditional Temple Mount that is all Jerusalem again the Jerusalem we see today when we go and you see those ancient walls which are just phenomenal by the way these just phenomenal to visit the old city well we need to keep in mind that that old city was not the oldest city of Jerusalem that Jerusalem started elsewhere did not start where we see Jerusalem today so again we see Mount Moriah Zion same thing now we also see here that the temple was built over a threshing forces of Ornan the Jebusite you know for me the fact that it says it was a Jebusite threshing floor tells me that it was in a was was it was within at the Jebusite city now I can't prove that for sure but that certainly makes sense to me that if it was a threshing floor that belonged to a genocide that that threshing floor was in the Jebusite city where was that Jeff City that Jeff site city was the City of David so again I think we see evidence from that from Scripture if this be true we know then that the threshing floor that we find here mentioned was was within the ancient city of David I want to talk a little bit about a threshing floor you know you I'm not a farmer I fully admit that I I know very little about farming so I have to go to the internet google it you know what is a threshing floor and I learned a few things about a threshing floor I want to share with you so this is from got questions to or crushing force actually a very thorough reference it says there are dozens of references to a threshing floor in the bible some literal and some symbolic in biblical days there was no machinery of course we know that so after the harvest the brain was separated from the straw husks by beating it manually first there had to be a flat surface that was smooth and hard so I want you to really think about that remember that it has to be what smooth and hard okay smooth and hard those are the two characteristics we find from anciently of a threshing floor and this was known as a threshing force as a process of threshing was performed generally by separating these sheaves on the threshing floor and causing oxen and cattle to tread repeatedly on and they walked over them and it loosened the Auris has loosened the edible part of the cereal grain or other crop from the scaly inedible chaff that surrounds it and I should refers there to deuteronomy 25:4 in isaiah 28 28 on occasion flakes were sticks were used for this purpose we see that in Ruth 2 verse 17 and also Isaiah 28 verse 27 when a winnowing forks were used to throw the mixture into the air so the wind could blow away the chaff leaving only the good grain on the floor so let me show you an illustration of what a threshing floor probably look like I know that the lights were back up can you see that sort of maybe we can shut the lights off again I want you to get a little good look at this illustration here right here okay the lights were dimming so do you see that now it's a little bit clearer okay so this was a threshing floor what do you notice about this threshing floor is flat right under the surface it'd be flat and it would be smooth it would be smooth so flat smooth and a hard or the characteristics of a threshing floor this again what allowed the agretti the oxen or the cattle or whatever to to walk in and and separate the grain now why is this information important to the temple you know why are we talking about threshing floors in Catalan and in and surfaces that are hard and smooth or most believe that owns a threshing floor was under the Dome of the rock on the traditional temple as we know that this is where the temple was that's really why it's important and again mostly that this is under the Dome of the rock let me show you a picture of this it's really quite amazing so this is I don't if you can see that but that's not flat it's not smooth it is hard it means one of the three requirements of a threshing floor but that's about it it's not smooth it's not flat it is hard but there's no way oxen will be treading out of treading our grain on this rock more than likely I'll talk about tomorrow a little bit this is probably Rios was stood when he was being accused by the Romans this is probably the praetorium within the Roman camp I believe anyway so this is not what we would expect when looking at a threshing floor there's there's nothing here that would make us believe that this was an ancient threshing floor and yet many believe that this is where the art or this is where the temple stood many many years ago but again as we see here this is certainly does not fit the requirements of what a threshing floor would would be now as a side note I mentioned this is probably maybe where Yahshua was tried when he stood before Pilate you know they had a place with another Roman camp typically in the center called the Praetorian and the criminal or the person being accused would stand and and you know with with her accusers but well we'll see more of this tomorrow we really focus on this fortress and what Yahshua's said when any within his prophecies now another really important crucial piece of information is the Gihon spring the Gihon spring in archaeology has confirmed that the only water source within the city of Jerusalem is a Gehan spring there's a few there's a well nearby but there's no way the city of Jerusalem would exist today if not for the Gihon spring the Gion spring gave life to the Jebusite city without the Gihon spring the Jebusite city would not exist certainly there would be no Jerusalem B's David would have never conquered the Jebusite City so again the Gion spring is very very very important because it is the only water source within the City of David now here's a slide discussing and explaining a little bit more about the Gihon spring us as a Gyan spring and the Kidron Valley so again it's at the bottom there the Kidron Valley was the main source of water for the pool of siloam by the way just as a side note we had a man archaeologists called Ellis shukran key words were guide for our first full trip to Israel and we also had him for one day dirt during our last trip he worked for the Israeli Antiquities Authority for about twenty-five years him and another archaeologists discovered the pool of siloam so it really was an incredible lot trip but he discovered the pool of siloam in the pool of siloam as you heard the video is very very important because it was a large virtual bath about an acre in size according to le Shukra and the archaeologist that has done extensive excavation within the city of david so it says it was the main water source for the pool of siloam in the city of david the original site of Jerusalem so again the original side of Jerusalem is where is the City of David one of the world's major internment Springs and a reliable water source and made human settlement possible in ancient Jerusalem the spring was not only used for drinking water but also initially for irrigation of gardens and the adjacent Kidron Valley which provided a food source for the ancient settlement so again it's the major water source for that area for the city of Jerusalem and is located at the bottom of the Kidron Valley we saw some photos illustrations of this now it says here that this was again the main water source for the pool of siloam in the City of David and without it no human a settlement would have been possible and that's something very very important to keep in mind that this is an absolute critical spring within the city of Jerusalem without this spring the the Gihon spring literally there would be no Jerusalem today they are absolutely dependent upon the spring or were they're not as dependent today but certainly from an ancient perspective they were very dependent upon the spring and this would also include the Jebusite city before the City of David now here's a slide of showing the location of the Aeon spring so here's the City of David there's a Central Valley you can also call the tour opium Valley and here is a Gyan spring this is the Kidron Valley and again the Guillen Valley of Hinnom is down here so from the illustration again the Kidron and the Central Valley it is on each side and by the way the Central Valley I think I mentioned this is also called the Tiger opium valley the valley of the cheesemakers as well and we see here that the Gihon is in relation is is near the the Kidron and I want you to keep in mind that the Guiana spring is about a third of a mile from the traditional temple mound now think about that for just a moment it's a third of a mile from the traditional Temple Mount and this is the only major water source for ancient Jerusalem does it make sense that they would have built a temple a third of a mile from their only water source I don't see it I don't believe that they would have built a temple that far from their water source the answer is no and we actually find evidence from antiquity that the temple being located near the Gion and this is really remarkable it really is remarkable you know I I just stand amazed at what we can learn from history and so many people they just don't look you know we just follow tradition as it is without ever really analyzing what history will he says or scripture so I want to read a reference here this is from a ravine hammer is a book Jerusalem anthropology he talks about in this book how Jewish or semi Jewish families migrated from Tiberias which is up in the north you know the Sea of Galilee is a major city there goes back to the Roman times and this was in the 6th century but they migrated from Tiberias to the city of Jerusalem during the time of Omar so here's what it says says Omar decreed a 70 households should come and again this was Jewish households from Tiberias it says they agreed to that after that he asked where do you wish to live within the city they were applied in the southern section of the city which is the market of the Jews the request was to enable them to be listened to be near the side of the temple and is gates as well as to the water of Shiloh or the pool of Siloam which could be used for immersion or ritual bathing this was granted them by the Emer of the believers so 70 households including women and children moved from Tiberias and established settlements in buildings whose foundations had stood many generations now for those not familiar with Omar this was a companion of Muhammad he was the second caliph or Islamic leader with within the Islamic world we see here that he allowed against 70 families from Tiberias to migrate back to the city of Jerusalem and for these families he asked you know where do you want to live where do you want to go where do you want to relocate to now what was her answer what would section of the city did they want to live in or says here that they wanted to be in the southern a section of the city what do you think the southern section of the city would have been or the southern section of the city I understand that the don't had the temple now that's the north the Temple Mount is in the north the southern section of the city is a City of David it also says they wanted to be near the temple in the pool of siloam ax where is the pool of Siloam or we know where the pool of Siloam is we'll look at that in just a moment we also see here one more thing it says the water there in the Gihon spring could be used how it says that the yi-han spring could be used for immersions or ritual baths you know there are several important points here number one these Jewish families they wanted to be within the the southern section of the city near the pull of Salome or again we know where that is that is in the City of David that is not up in the Temple Mount they also wanted to be near where the temple was and they connect that with again the pool of Siloam in the Gihon spring so let me show you real quickly here just in case you forgot so again this is the ancient city of David there's a temple mount about a third of a mile away and this is the pool of siloam there now according to these Jews who relocated from Tiberias a temple along with the pool of Siloam was located within what section of the city the southern the southern section of the city the southern section of the city again is the City of David you know so assuming this testimony is accurate where this confirms that a temple was located near the pool of Siloam and near the Gihon spring within the southern section of Jerusalem or within what we know today is the City of David the archaeological the beginning of Jerusalem this is where was located now there's one more important point here and that is the Jews recognized something special with the pool of the pool of Siloam and also the Aegean Spring the they understood that this could be used for ceremonial purposes including including ritual sacrifices so this is important you see according to many people and I believe this to be true no water was was was said for sacrifices had to be special water and the Jews considered Gyan spring or water a spring fed water as as living water and it was acceptable for sacrifices so again there's just further illustrates and further provides evidence that this is where the temple was I want to recap a few points number one during the time of Omar 70 Jewish families migrated from Tiberias to Jerusalem number two they asked to be within the southern section of the city near the temple and the pool of Salome and number three we see here that this that the special water that is living water was required for ceremonial or ritual washings which would have extended I believe to the sacrificial system you know they would sacrifice thousands of animals during feast days like this they would need to be near water and we know that the Gihon spring again was the only water source within this ancient city now there's another piece of evidence that just blew my mind when I read this when I realized in and we see see evidence from antiquity and it's not only evidence it's not only somebody saying yeah this might have been as evidence eyewitness evidence people who saw this occur within 400 years by the way of one another so it's not some you know within even the same timeframe so let's look at these two eyewitness accounts the first one is from a man named our riskiest he was an Alexandrian dude too during the 2nd or 3rd centuries BCE so this was before Yahshua before the Messiah and he verifies something very special here he says there there is an inexhaustible reservoir of water earth would be expected from an abundant spring gushing up naturally from within this is a reference to the temple isn't that amazing I mean I I really find this amazing I just find a phenomenal to realize that we have an eyewitness ancient account testifying to the fact that within the precincts of the temple there was a gushing reservoir that would come up from a spring he goes on to say they're being moreover wonderful and indescribable cisterns underground five four Long's according to their showing all around the foundation of the temple so we see here there's a connection with the temple we know this what a riskiest is referring to and countless pipes or tunnels from them so that the streams on every side met together and all these have been fastened with the light at the bottom of the sidewalls and over these has been speared spread a great quantity of plaster all having been carefully wrought so we see an eyewitness account from a man again named wrist yes he was in Alexandria Jew 2nd 3rd century BCE so this would be during the time the Jews came out of the Babylonian Sol so this is not speaking about Aaron's temple but probably speaking about the temple that they built later after coming out now according to her wrists yes there was a quote I'm gonna read this again there was a quote inexhaustible reservoir of water as would be expected from an abundant spring gushing up naturally from within again we've already seen acid evidence we've already read evidence that the only spring within the city of Jerusalem and again this is indisputable everybody would agree with this the only spring within the city of Jerusalem where the City of David is a geek on spring and according to riskiest again this this Jew who was there he saw it he was an eyewitness to this now by the way this is being reported from you from Eusebius but is from an eyewitness account that there was again a spring the spring up within the temple now some will point out that there are reservoirs within or on or underneath I should say at the Temple Mount but number one these are not a springfed reservoirs there are some resident reservoirs I will uh I will concede to that but again they're not spring fed there's no spring underneath the Temple Mount number two before the Romans built the aqueducts coming from Jerusalem to feed water into the into that area there was no there was no water source certainly there was no water source during the term of riskiest and yet riskiest confirms that within the temple there was a spring gushing up or again that doesn't exist on the Temple Mount so again even if this is true you know we just don't see evidence for it I want to refer to another reference another eyewitness account is from attack attest Roman historian dating back to at this second the 2nd century CE II so this was after Yahshua so says there the temple resembled a citadel a fortress it had its own walls which were more laboriously constructed than the others even the colonnades with which it was surrounded formed in an admirable outwork listen it says they contained what in in exhaust double spring it contained an inexhaustible spring there were subterranean excavations in the hill and tanks and cisterns for holding rainwater the founders of the state had foreseen that frequent Wars would result from the singularity of his customs and so had made very provision against the most proper tactic as siege so we see a very similar testimony to what we saw with the rustiest from tacit ist's now keep in mind that there was 400 years at separating these men these men are referring to different temples and yet they say the same thing or we know the temple was always built in the same location the temple was not moved over time Solomon's Temple is vers aruba Bell Bell or rebuilt or refortified if you will and this is also also where Herod rebuilt really here did not rebuild a temple he further expanded he beautified the temple according to many archaeologists so again he says here that there was an inexhaustible spring within at the temple house as possible in the Temple Mount there are no Springs on the Temple Mount there was not at this point that point and there's not today it doesn't exist again there are reservoirs but not springs and it says here that a spring gushed up that's not a reservoir of water that's a spring and we know that the only spring within the ancient city of Jerusalem was a Gehan spring and this was again not on the Temple Mount it was a third of a mile down the hill from today's Temple Mount so we see just for the residence showing that the spring the Gion spring was near or underneath the old temple that also says here that there were subterranean excavations or tunnels in the hill along with cisterns for holding rainwater now I had the privilege when there the first trip and the second trip we walked through were down into the city of David and we got to actually see the spring the jion's for a matter of fact I walked through the Gion spring this time probably Hezekiah tunneled the tunnel that he built what an amazing experience by the way you're actually walking in this tunnel and you can see the chisel marks I mean isn't that amazing you can see the chisel marks and you know you know this saw it has a higher someone great walked it through this tunnel and here we're walking through it today but this what's amazing about the city of David is what we see here within the citation within this eyewitness account that's what we see within the city of David it is full of tunnels and reservoirs of waters in this Gyan spring what we see here within history within antiquity they're discovering today and again what's amazing about this is that this has only occurred in the last 200 years I mean this really is new to history many says they the scholars had no idea where the City of David was Hey many scholars believe that it was on the the further west and yet and they knew it had no idea where the Gihon spring was but they discovered it and with that they also discovered the City of David and with that I believe they also discovered where the temple stood it was not Ian on the Temple Mount but again in the city of David as we find a little got one more passage here this is a again Joel prophetic passage Joel chapter 317 318 it says so shall you know that I am Yahweh your Elohim dwelling in Zion my holy mountain then shelters would be holy and there shall no strangers pass through her any more and it shall come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drop down a new wine and the hill shall flow with milk and all the rivers of the Judah shall flow with waters and listen it says a fountain shall come a fourth found shall come forth of the house of Yahweh this is prophetic isn't that amazing we see a prophecy here saying that there's going to be a fountain gushing forth from the temple same fountain I believe as gushed forth for Solomon's Temple for zhirova bells temple for a Herod's temple in the same spring we're going to see prophetically once again so this further confirms the eyewitness testimony of a riskiest tacket s two men four hundred years apart no relation Jew Roman but yet saying the very same thing and that is within it the temple precincts you had a gushing spring simply is not on the traditional Temple Mount today I want to close by reviewing some of what we've talked about today so number one the City of David is synonymous with what the City of David is synonymous with Zion Zion is synonymous with the biblical Temple Mount we see that we saw many many examples of that raghava spreads his Tabernacle his house is in Zion so again Zion is synonymous with the biblical Temple Mount the ark was originally housed where the ark was originally housed in the City of David he built a tent fort Solomon's Temple was built over the threshing floor of Ornan on the edge ABI said we've looked at the rock under the Dome of the rock does that look again like a threshing floor no it doesn't resemble a threshing floor in any way i during the 7th century CE 70 Jewish families from Tiberias relocate relocated to Jerusalem and requested to be near the pull of Salome that is the waters at the Gihon spring and near the temple they understood they knew where was the Gihon spring is the only natural spring made a and a major water sport major source of water and Jerusalem it's located within the city of David a third of a mile from the traditional Temple Mount and you can just keep in mind all the thousands of sacrifices is what we do it's just hard to believe that they would have no running water and it's just harder there's so many reasons why it makes sense to place a city that the temple within the city of David according to rustiest alessandra Jews 2nd century 3rd century BCE and tactus the Roman historian 2nd century BCE there was a spring-like reservoir within the city of David now I pray that this first part was somewhat of an eye-opener I pray that has helped you to understand maybe the geography better to understand some of the connections between the City of David again Zion and the temple to understand some what about the Jehan spring and the criticality of the Gion spring why is some point that we understand the Gihon spring and also the eyewitness accounts the eyewitness accounts of a gushing spring within at the temple precincts were tomorrow tomorrow morning I'm going to continue with part two now this sets the groundwork in part two we're going to focus on Yahshua's prophecies you know Yahshua prophesied that the temple would be utterly destroyed we're gonna see that tomorrow he prophesied that not one stone would be left upon another he also prophesied the same fate for the city of Jerusalem and we also see from a historic historical accounts from Josephus and also Eusebius and others that what Yahshua prophesied happened matter of fact I'll give you I'll give you a nugget right now as brother Jose used to say Eusebius I believe it was Eusebius says that the destruction was so great with the temple that it resembled a Sodom oh that's how great the destruction was from an eyewitness account Josephus he said the dispersion was so great were Eusebius one of those historians it was so great that it resembled Sodom now in addition to looking at the prophecies of Yahshua and also the historical accounts confirming what Josh was said we're also gonna spend a lot of time focused on the temple or the fortress Antonia you know many people they don't even hear about fortress Antonia and this really boggles my mind we know historically that it that it existed matter of fact ago if you go to the Israeli museum there in Jerusalem they have a big model of what first century a Jerusalem would have looked like and supposedly is based on Josephus and the other scholars and yet we're gonna see tomorrow that you have this big Temple Mount and you have this tiny little fort to the side as if that was enough were sufficient to guard the city of Jerusalem where there was Const battles and constant friction within for the Jewish people we're also going to see other evidence relating this for we're going to talk about what Allegiant is what a legion is what a legion resembles we're also going to look at examples of some Roman forts throughout the world Britain Germany basic and we can see that many of the Roman forts and antiquity resembles the Temple Mount so again there's so much information with this you know I told somebody I could probably get three or four messages on this because there's just so much information by the way I do warn you please show up please show up maybe maybe you won't show up now but it but but that tomorrow's message is going to be a bit longer than what it was today I do apologize for the length I thought about three messages but we're going to do two I just asked you to bear with me so I pray that you've learned something I pray that this isn't blessing to you and again I like to welcome each and every one of the feast just such a blessing having you god bless you [Music] you
