Take a drink every time he mentions forgetting the salt and baking powder.

That's what coke always needs, more sugar!

These correction videos are my favorite part of shotgun Red's videos. They feel genuine. I actually feel like he is a close friend giving me recipe advice. His videos make me feel really at ease.

When I have a shit day he is like puppy dog videos I'm his friendly welcoming demeanour. He could be talking about grass seed and I'd likely watch.

I thought he was saying bacon powder.

These comments fucking blow. Dude is happy to make a recipe & share it. But people have to shit on everything about it. I'm sure your personal lives are ever so perfect.

hey everybody hunter Fisher trapper trader guide scout and interpreter and just a country cook Steve Hall here in Nashville Tennessee along with pretty miss Sheila running that camera hi today we're gonna do a recipe for the second time this recipe was posted on YouTube and in 45 minutes fifteen hundred people viewed it you may be one of those fifteen hundred people but the recipe was wrong because I forgot a couple ingredients in fact when I tasted him out of the cooker they tasted okay but when they cooled off and got in the kitchen Sheila tried one said these are really tough there's something wrong I looked over on the counter and there sat the salt and the baking powder so we're gonna do it right and what I'm talking about is a recipe called deep fried coca-cola how do you deep-fry coca-cola well I'm going to show you in a second but I'm gonna give credit where credit's due in 2006 at the Texas State Fair Abel Gonzalez jr. entered this recipe deep fried coca-cola and he won the whole thing so I just wanted to give the credit where credit's due so come on over let's get started on this recipe and we'll show you how to make deep fried coca-cola alright our oil is up to three hundred and forty degrees almost 350 so let's get going on our batter first we're gonna start out with a course the star of the show one and a half cups of coca-cola two eggs that Sheila ran through the blender to beat them up real nice and smooth that's whites and yolks Bo and then a quarter cup of sugar in here and let me whip all this together kind of dissolve that sugar in there now we're gonna throw in some flour we're gonna use all-purpose flour but this time I'm gonna put in the ingredients that I forgot to put in last time and that's why we pulled it off of YouTube because they didn't turn out right then I went back in the kitchen cooked him right oh they turned out beautiful so I said let's just redo the whole video our subscribers and future subscribers deserve to have the right recipe so here's three cups of flour and in here I'm gonna put a half a teaspoon of salt and two teaspoons of baking powder which we're not in there before and that's so important or they won't puff up like they're supposed to so let me go ahead and kind of incorporate this baking powder and salt in with my flour it'll make it when it finally gets into all the rest of this but I'm gonna stir this in a little at a time and what we're looking for it's kind of a batter that's real thick that we can spoon into this oil now you can actually keep going with the flour maybe add some more sugar some more baking powder that kind of thing until you get all the way to a dough and roll it up in little balls and drop it in there I've seen that recipe done that way too but I just like to make it nice and thick like this because it cooks up just fine then you don't have so much flour in the recipe that it loses the real coca-cola flavor and that's what we're looking for well that's just perfect that is real perfect let me get this stirred up good be back with you in just a second now I like to make nice little small ones because they puff up so much so I got a little melons to appear when you squeeze it it's got that little wire that goes back forth and I'm going to fill this about half full and drop them in almost like making donut holes 350 on the oil now I don't usually use peanut oil I've got canola oil in here today and the reason I don't use peen oil is because some people have peanut allergies and I don't want them to throw a fit at my house and the middle of a party because I gave them the wrong stuff I feel that too about two-thirds full can you see that Sheila yeah alright just a little teeny scooper and they puff up and the reason I want them nice and small is because I'm gonna do what they do at most of the state fairs now up to 2006 nobody had deep-fried coca-cola then that guy entered that in a contest and he won and man they do look nice and even with that and see I didn't go clear to a doe I just went with a real thick batter and that three cups is just perfect and I didn't have the salt and I didn't have the baking powder and I didn't have the flour right in the first one even though they kind of turned out kind of flat looking it just something wasn't right and then I looked over and I forgot two ingredients I told Sheila let's just do the recipe over so if you're one of them fifteen hundred people that watched the first recipe and even gave us a thumbs up thank you so much for being so patient and wondering where this recipe went to now it's posted back and done right and you can put quite a few of these in your oil because they don't stick together which is really nice let that little Scoob and it makes about two big batches I've got enough batter left in here a little bit more in that scooper got enough batter in here to do another batch in just a second and they kind of turn themselves over automatically you'll see them get brown and turn see that Sheila they just turn themselves so they kind of float to the top right away the other ones didn't see that one turn right over he's like well I'm done I'll go to this side when they get real Brown they turn brown side up so and I want to thank Sheila for going in the kitchen and then coming into the editing room and say you know something is not right with those there are too dense there too tough they don't they're not fluffy like a doughnut I love the flavor but there's something wrong and I came back into the recording room and there sat the salt and the baking powder over on the counter over there and I went oh so I tried to do a revision and I said now instead of doing that let's just go ahead and and just redo the whole recipe and look how nice and round little balls they turn out to be this one looks like he's almost done perfect and I also like doing them small like that because then that cooks the batter in the middle now I have seen a few recipes on YouTube where they put in a big dollop of dough and man it comes out about as big as a small baseball or something and it just I don't think the dough gets done in there so I would rather bounce these around and cook them here's another one looks like he might be done over here let me get these cooked up and moved over to this little paper towel over here and here's the last of the first batch and why they're still warm I'm gonna take this little cup right here let me move my mic a little bit there we go this has four teaspoons of powdered sugar and one teaspoon of cinnamon so I'm just gonna kind of I should have a little shaker to use for that but I can't find it it's in all these dishes laying over on the shelf so I'm just gonna use my fingers and this is cinnamon and powdered sugar mixture I'm gonna hit them pretty good because as they roll around there I want them to get some on the bottom side as well now what we're gonna do as long as we're right here is we're gonna load some of these up let me get my little tours over here and my ready whip I bought these coca-cola glasses at a yard sale Sheila said what are you gonna do with them I said I don't know let me here and I want to spray this with a little bit of whipped cream why it's still down in there partway and you load these up in a big glass like this then you hit them with some whipped cream on top is there something you gonna tell me Sheila oh is it out am i off to one side am i doing better now I give a little shot of that down there now some of these recipes for this diet coke deep fried diet coke use a coca-cola syrup at this point they take a coca-cola syrup and kind of drizzle it then put the whipped cream but I think that's kind of an overkill you can do it if you want and then let me sneak over here again look what I got two little cherries to go on top is that looking good or is that looking good perfect now I'm gonna move these over to another platter maybe just move more to one side here and I'm gonna start cooking this next batch long as my oil is just perfect here can you see this over here to Sheila all right good enough let me get the rest of these cooked up here and I'll be with you guys in a second I'm excited about our finished product they're done right with with the salt and the baking powder that was not in the first video that's why we pulled it off the internet see you in a second watch these see that see that see that I just wanted Sheila to get out there's another - I wanted Sheila to get a close-up shot because they turn themselves see that as they get golden brown they turn over that is so cool all right you're not paying attention there you go that one I was gonna touch him and he turned on his own all you got to do is just give him a little Bop not with your finger that's me I'm state I should stay away from the oil but and then when they're golden-brown they'll turn half way again it's just the cutest thing in the world all right you just cook these like you do donuts these are done as well I already turned my oil off cuz I'm done with this batch here while these are cooking you won't believe what I found my little storm shredder here or whatever you call this thing don't that put it on there nice and even yeah holy that looks good tada all right let's take a scepter okay it's the sifter Sheila knows what all this stuff's called but anyway she outsmarted me there let's get this stuff lined up here and to you 1,500 people that already seen the first video this is what they're supposed to look like they go in the glass nice deep fried coke and I'm telling you hmm see I mean she already ate a couple of mo here so they are fantastic no you think so and I want to thank you Sheila for coming in the editing Bay and say you know there's something wrong with this recipe don't post that but well it's already past a thousand and by the time I figured out what the problem was it was up to fifteen hundred we turned it off and we did it right I know Sheila's gonna get a cup of coffee I gotta get a tall cold glass of milk and we're gonna have us oh that's so good today we're gonna have us some
