i want to speak to someone who's perhaps found themselves in a desperate situation i'd like to simply offer some encouragement for you your future may be unknown it may be uncertain however you can face an unknown future with fear or you can face it with faith you can face the mountain before you with anxiety or you can face it with faith and so today i encourage you to choose faith choose faith over fear choose faith over worry whatever situation you are in right now god will work it out isaiah 40 31 says but those who wait on the lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings like eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint faith will cause you to wait and trust and believe that in god's perfect timing he will part the waters he will bring the walls down he will make a way when there seems to be no way many times in the word of god we read jesus said according to your faith be it done unto you what measure of faith do you have today how much faith do you have that god will work everything out for your good how much faith do you have that god will lead you through the fire and the reason i'm so passionate about choosing faith over fear is because of scriptures like romans chapter 5 verse 8 which says but god demonstrates his own love toward us in that while we were still sinners christ died for us this should tell you that the lord worked on your plan of salvation without you even knowing about it god's interest concerning your well-being and circumstances is amazing he gets involved without you asking at times he fights for you without you even knowing about the battle this is the base of our faith god's love a love that was there for us while we were still sinners while we were unaware of the darkness we were in christ died for us [Music] now it is possible for true christians with a genuine love for christ to go through periods in time where the enemy before them looks to be too strong and powerful we all go through periods where our faith will be tested by a challenge that looks to be too big or too strong however it's important to look at your situation through the word of god hebrews 12 verse 2 says looking unto jesus the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of god that's the key looking unto jesus the author and finisher of our faith whatever your situation is the key is to look to jesus in other words don't dwell on anything else other than jesus christ don't dwell on your situation but dwell on the word of god so don't let your faith fail do not lose your hope in the lord keep believing keep expecting and holding on to jesus i want to tell you about a wonderful promise in the bible that we should all write on the tablets of our hearts it's one of those promises you can count on when things are hard or when life seems dark and empty and i'll be the first to tell you that there have been many times over the course of my life where i have referred to this promise during times of difficulty this promise can be found in romans chapter 8 verse 38 to 39 and the bible reads for i am convinced that neither death nor life neither angels nor demons neither the present nor the future nor any powers neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of god that is in christ jesus our lord this is an important passage of scripture for several reasons when life gets hard remember that nothing can separate us from the love of god when we feel persecuted when we're ostracized by the world always remember that nothing can separate us from the love of god when you're under attack when you're under siege and it feels as though satan and his armies are out to bring you down remember that nothing can separate us from the love of god and let me tell you that there will always be days where we feel as though god is not there but remember this promise remember this promise of love nothing absolutely nothing whether seen or unseen can separate us from god's love saints we have a god that loves us more than we will ever know and he has given us his grace for this journey of life he has shown us mercy and not only has he saved us but he has accepted us adopted us as his own nothing can separate us from the love of god david must have known this because in psalm 138 verse 2 it says i bow before the holy temple as i worship i praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name let me tell you something god has nothing to gain from deceiving us god is not a man that he should lie the bible says has he ever promised and not carried it through saints the only time we are at a loss the only time we are at a disadvantage is when we choose not to trust in the lord his faithfulness should be the reason we remain strong as believers hebrews chapter 4 verse 13 says and no creature is hidden from his sight but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account the presence of the lord is powerful because when you are in his presence there is nothing we can hide in the presence of god there is no sin no secret no unclean thought or selfish intention can be hidden from the lord in god's presence you can be liberated you can be at peace and you can find rest so for all the things you are seeking in this world i encourage you to seek god's presence above all in his presence we have protection we are renewed and we are revived in our spirits have to remember to remain faithful in prayer during difficult times because god is our source of strength and if you are not grounded in prayer where will you get the strength to endure so praying is a must now the other thing to remember when you're going through tough times is that you need to always always praise the lord praise him through the good and the bad praise him in the morning and in the evening remember the story of paul and silas chained in prison in a dark and uncomfortable place and in acts 16 verse 25 to 26 the bible says about midnight paul and silas were praying and singing hymns to god and the prisoners were listening to them and suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's bonds were unfastened [Music] if we want to see the power of god working in our lives let us worship with all our heart and all our soul and all our strengths god sits enthroned on the praises of his when we lift him up during tough times we are saying nothing is bigger than you god nothing is greater than you and finally we need to hear more of the word of god romans 10 17 says so faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of christ during a season of hardship you need your faith to be strengthened more than ever so it's very important to hear the word of god as much as you can faith in god means believing in and trusting in him as your greatest hope [Music] you
