what do you consider to be your biggest responsibility is it your job your role in the church a particular ministry the bible teaches that as a follower of christ your first responsibility should be to your family these are the people that god has given you to love and serve and go through life with we glorify god by serving our families well a strong unified and godly family produces effective members of the community the church and society as a whole first timothy chapter 3 verse 5 says for if someone does not know how to manage his own household how will he care for god's church paul is addressing deacons and overseers in this passage but the same principle applies to anyone claiming to be a servant of christ holiness starts in the home a godly life starts in the home serving god starts in the home if we don't exercise love and compassion toward members of our own family how can we possibly set an example for christ outside our homes if we do not talk about the goodness of jesus christ if we don't testify of his grace and power within our own families how then can we go and testify to an unbeliever the bible in first timothy chapter 5 verse 8 puts it this way but if anyone does not provide for his relatives and especially for members of his household he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever the amplified translation says if anyone fails to provide for his own and especially for those of his own family he has denied the faith by disregarding its precepts and is worse than an unbeliever who fulfills his obligation in these matters do you see how important the family is do you see how important the service you provide to your family is this verse shows how seriously god takes the responsibility of the family we should be doing everything in our power to maintain peace and unity in every relationship we gain nothing by neglecting or antagonizing our families so saints take a moment hear me as i say this don't neglect your family find time to read the word together find time to pray together find time to simply talk about the lord together as a family when you do this you are walking in wisdom [Music] proverbs 11 verse 29 says whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart do not trouble your household do not intentionally harm or neglect your family i love that first corinthians chapter 1 verse 10 says i appeal to you brothers by the name of our lord jesus christ that all of you agree and that there be no divisions among you but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment now this doesn't mean you have to agree on every little detail all the time god created each of us with unique personalities unique tastes and even perspectives but when it comes to our core values our lifestyle and our mission we should have one mind that is centered on christ if you have children they may not yet have the maturity to recognize this that's why it is especially important to teach them to set the example so that they may be covered in christ the devil knows that if he can divide the family he can isolate each of us and make us more susceptible to spiritual attacks satan knows that if he can keep the kids in their rooms if he can keep dad focused on work and making money if he can keep mom distracted with her friends he knows that if he can keep the family from spending quality time in prayer or studying the bible if he can do this then he can effectively steal kill and destroy the home that's his only objective his only goal is to steal kill and destroy he will pit husband against wife children against parents all so that he can get us alone and vulnerable and so saints what can we do to prevent this from happening how can we how should we guard our family i believe that there are two things which are essential the first can be found in 1st peter chapter 4 verse 8 which says above all keep loving one another earnestly since love covers a multitude of sins this means that we are to have a fervent and unfailing love for one another because love covers a multitude of sins which means there is forgiveness there is selflessness true love in the family overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others love one another a simple command but so difficult at times when you're in the middle of a heated argument it can be hard to stop and recognize that the anger you are feeling might be harmful to your family and dishonoring to god and so we really need to pray that there is love a godly love in our families the second thing which i believe is essential is faith in god look to jesus the man in the home should be looking to jesus the woman in the home should be looking to jesus the children should be looking to jesus second thessalonians chapter 3 verse 3 says but the lord is faithful he will establish you and guard you against the evil one we are bound to fail at times but god supplies all the grace we need rely on him ask him to protect your family from every threat whether internal or external he is faithful trust in the lord to establish you and your family now let us pray father god thank you for blessing me with a beautiful family regardless of how imperfect my family may be i do thank you that i have a family to love and cherish and go through life with i know that you created each of us with wonderfully unique personalities and preferences and even though we may have our differences at times lord jesus i pray that you would unite us unite our families lord in our love for you may we be of one accord may each of our relationships be rooted in the gospel of jesus christ let your grace and forgiveness characterize every interaction in our homes let your love a godly love be the umbrella of every conversation and confrontation may we be obedient to your word that tells us to be quick to listen and slow to anger father this world is hostile to god-fearing families satan wants nothing more than to tear us apart and separate us so that we may be isolated and vulnerable to spiritual attack however i pray right now that you would surround our families with a hedge of protection guard us from the traps of the enemy as well as our own sinful desires no matter how much time passes and no matter how old we get may we always find our strength and hope in the name of jesus lord help us to imitate you in every situation may a sweet spirit of forgiveness be abundant in our families whenever someone feels wrong may reconciliation and tenderness prevail over anger and bitterness help us to remember your command to love one another and bear with each other no matter the circumstance may we grow together in our love for christ and in our love for each other lord lord foster a wholesome and loving atmosphere in our home let this home be a safe place where each person can feel valued and cared for and free to be themselves holy spirit teach us how to love one another like jesus loved us teach us to be more selfless compassionate and humble unify us as a family so that we can go through life together set on one purpose advancing the kingdom of god lord rebuke every spirit of division bitterness and aggression that tries to enter our home these things have no place in a family seeking to honor christ above all father keep us unstained from the sinful ways of this world other families may strive for worldly success and social status but just as joshua said as for me and my house we will serve the lord lord be at the center of everything we say and do give us confidence and reassurance that you are always with us both individually and as a family for you are the good father who keeps watch over all his children you are our perfect example and for that we praise you thank you god for your righteousness and everlasting love i ask all these things in jesus name amen [Music] i may not know what the true extent of your struggle may be the events in your life may have you feeling outnumbered you may have been up against one attack after another after another you may be feeling tired and weary from the battles you fought or even battles you were still fighting but let me encourage you with the word of god in second kings chapter 6 elijah and his servant found themselves outnumbered they saw an army they saw horses and chariots everywhere second kings chapter 6 15 says when the servant of the man of god got up and went out early the next morning an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city oh no my lord what shall we do the servant asked the servant saw that he and elijah were completely surrounded by their enemies people who were intent on killing them the servant's reaction was one of panic because he said oh no what shall we do but elisha's reaction which is found in verse 16 and 17 is one of peace confidence and boldness the bible says don't be afraid the prophet answered those who are with us are more than those who are with them and elisha prayed open his eyes lord so that he may see then the lord opened the servant's eyes and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around elisha and that's what i would like to encourage you with today as a child of god do not be afraid they that are for us are more than they that are against us as a man or woman of god listening don't be afraid about what the future holds don't be afraid about how you'll overcome they that are for us are more than they that are against us i encourage you to believe that jesus christ can bring about a change in your life he can bring about a change in your home and family and so regardless of what you face regardless of who or what comes against your home the bible says in psalm 34 7 the angel of the lord encamps around those who fear him and delivers them now let us pray father god in the name of jesus i come to you with a thankful heart i bless your holy name for your goodness and your mercy upon my life and my family thank you for your hand that is upon me and my family and my home you are worthy of all glory father and you are greatly to be praised in my life thank you for preserving me for protecting me guiding and leading me you led the children of israel by fire at night and with the cloud by day lead us today as your children lord you led them to cross the red sea on dry ground and i pray that you will part any sea before me and my family i pray that any opposing army any challenges or enemies that may try to pursue me will be destroyed in the name of jesus thank you my heavenly father for all the battles you fought for me and on my behalf i give you all the glory and all the honor for you alone are worthy to receive my adoration thank you father for what you've done for me for what you are doing for what you are still yet to do in my life great is your faithfulness towards me may the holy spirit help me to fix my eyes on the author and finisher of my faith jesus christ give me the boldness to leave people i don't need in my life friends that are toxic in relationships that aren't healthy father god i pray that i may have a closer walk with you and not only that lord but i pray that i may walk in the spirit so that i will not fulfill the works of the flesh i come against cycles of sin which try to enslave me in the name of jesus i rebuke every plan of the enemy in jesus name by faith i thank you for victory by faith i thank you for giving me and my family the strength to overcome every challenge and every obstacle that we may face lord jesus may you protect us from all manner and form of evil keep us grounded in truth father let us not be deceived by the doctrines of this world or by the spirit of fear lord give us the wisdom to discern and navigate through the evil of this world help us to follow your word and act in obedience to what is your perfect will cast out anything that seeks to corrupt us we refuse and rebuke any spirit that is not from god we rebuke every spirit that seeks to disturb or hinder us from seeking you drive out any darkness any unclean thing from our homes and shine your pure holy light into our lives the enemy seeks only to steal kill and destroy but lord you give life in you there is fullness of joy in you there is protection and freedom help us to put on the full armor of god so that we may always be ready to withstand all of the enemies attacks we look to you to be our shield and defense because you hold all authority at your voice every demon trembles in fear in your presence no other power can stand no matter what doubts or thoughts that the enemy tries to plant in my heart nothing could ever take away my hope and faith in you nothing could take away the promise of eternal life that i have in you we desire to be within your arms king jesus in your arms is the safest place to be thank you god for your protection thank you for your faithfulness thank you for listening to this prayer in jesus name i pray amen and amen [Music] revelation chapter 12 verse 11 and they have conquered him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony for they loved not their lives even unto death you and i we can protect we can defend we can preserve our homes by pleading the blood of jesus christ there is power wonder working power in the blood of jesus christ there is power to defeat death hell and the grave there is power to defeat the devil there is power to defeat sickness there is power to conquer demonic spirits when you mark your home with the blood of jesus christ you are sending out a strong message to the enemy you are saying to the kingdom of darkness that a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand [Music] but the attacks of the devil will not come near you or your home pleading the blood of jesus christ is a signal of intent you are waging war against every principality every ruler of darkness and every wicked thing you are saying this is the boundary you have no permission to touch this house in jesus name you have no permission to touch the residents in this home in jesus name pleading the blood of jesus christ is you activating psalm 121 verse 8 which says the lord will keep your going out and you're coming in from this time forth and forevermore there is miracle working power in the blood of jesus christ so as children of god as children of the most high we must be vigilant and know that the enemy will try and disturb the home he will seek to disturb the home in order to disturb you but i encourage you to hold on to revelation 12 verse 10 and 11. [Music] for the bible says then i heard a loud voice saying in heaven now salvation and strength and the kingdom of our god and the power of his christ have come for the accuser of our brethren who accused them before our god day and night has been cast down and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony the word of my testimony is that jesus christ is my lord and savior jesus christ is my protector [Music] jesus christ is the one who delivers me from all evil and all harm he is my sustainer he is my peace he is the chief cornerstone that holds my home together jesus christ is the very foundation that i have built my home he is my good shepherd who will never lead me to destruction begin to defeat the devil through the blood of the lamb and the word of your testimony so do not be filled with fear but instead be encouraged be encouraged by romans chapter 15 verse 13 which says may the god of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the holy spirit and i say may the god of hope fill your home with joy and peace as you trust in him so that your home may overflow with hope by the power of the holy spirit so despite what's in front of us the joy of the lord will strengthen you and i [Music] now let us pray lord jesus it is you that has preserved me it's you that has kept my home and sustained me [Music] i speak the precious blood of jesus so that it may form a boundary a perimeter that no devil or demons can cross because of you father my family is protected from every form of harm and danger and i am grateful that you continue to stand as my protection against the evil one lord jesus i pray that my home may be so covered by your presence may we be so hidden in you lord that we can experience psalm 91 and say my refuge and my fortress my god in whom i trust for he will deliver us from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence he will cover us with his pinions and under his wings we will find refuge his faithfulness is a shield and buckler we will not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness nor the destruction that wastes at noonday i speak and i declare that nothing of ours as children of god shall be touched by the enemy because we have overcome according to revelation 12 verse 11 we have defeated the devil by the blood of the lamb i speak the blood of jesus christ for protection over our homes i declare that the enemy will not steal our joy or peace the enemy cannot disturb our homes luke 10 verse 19 says behold i have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall hurt you thank you for the authority that you have given us king jesus nothing shall hurt us nothing from the enemy will be able to touch us lord [Music] i confess that the mighty blood of jesus christ will cause us to crush the enemy it will cause us to overcome and conquer the plots of evil against us father may you destroy every demonic spirit that seeks to enter that seeks to attack our homes to attack our bodies or minds in the name of jesus christ be with us lord today and always whether it's in the morning or in the evening may your presence constantly be with us let our homes become impenetrable fortresses of prayer and like philippians chapter 4 verse 8 says let my home be a place that focuses on whatever things are true whatever things are noble whatever things are just whatever things are pure whatever things are lovely whatever things are of good report if there is any virtue and if there is any praiseworthy meditate on these things let my home be a place that meditates on these things so i thank you for hearing this prayer lord do not give the enemy room to enter my home king jesus keep me diligent alert me if there is anything that i should be doing anything i should not be doing that may open up doors to the enemy by your grace lord we will continue to live peacefully by your grace we will continue to experience unity within our homes harmony within our families may you be glorified and christ has power ephesians chapter 1 verse 7 the bible reads in him we have redemption through his blood the forgiveness of sins in accordance with the riches of god's grace redemption is the action further we need to read romans 5 from verse 8 where the bible says but god demonstrates his own love for us in this while we were still sinners christ died for us since we have now been justified by his blood how much more shall we be saved from god's wrath through him for if while we were god's enemies we were reconciled to him through the death of his son how much more having been reconciled shall we be saved through his life not only is this so but we also boast in god through our lord jesus christ through whom we have now received reconciliation now the bible goes on to tell us more about the power of the blood of jesus in revelation chapter 12 verse 10 and 11. the bible says in verse 10 then i heard a loud voice saying in heaven now salvation and strength and the kingdom of our you made thank you that while we were yet still sinners you loved each and every one of us enough to die for us blameless you were without spot or blemish with no sins but you still shed your precious blood so that i so that we may be redeemed you deserve glory and honor for that lord you deserve praise and thanks for your unfailing love i am grateful for your blood because the bible tells me in romans 5 verse 9 that i am justified by your blood and i shall be saved from wrath through you father today in agreement with everyone listening we speak the blood of jesus christ for protection over our lives i declare that the blood of jesus will cause us to triumph over the enemy it will cause us to overcome to conquer to destroy every demonic spirit that seeks to attack our homes our bodies our minds in the name of jesus christ we have the victory through your blood i speak the blood of jesus for covering cover us with your blood in our homes as we sleep cover us with your blood each morning as we wake up and leave to go to work cover us with your blood on our journeys may you cover us entirely lord our spirit our soul and body our families our children and marriages may you cover it all lord the power that is in your blood can make us whole again it can provide us with emotional and mental healing it has the power to deliver us from darkness and i thank you today for the privilege of being able to call upon your blood for protection for restoration and for healing lord jesus may we be so hidden in you in your presence as sons and daughters of god may there be a boundary a hedge a bloodline of protection against the devil against evil nothing of ours shall be touched by the enemy because we have overcome according to revelation 12 11 we have defeated the light as he is in the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of jesus christ his son cleanses us from all sin help me to walk in the light so that i may be cleansed of all of my sins father i thank you for your blood because i am able to draw near to god the father through you because your word says in ephesians chapter 2 verse 13 but now in christ jesus you who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of christ i praise you lord and i thank you for bringing me near from being afar off from you and from your kingdom and has now brought me near to you to your presence so that i may abide and dwell in you i thank you lord because of your blood every physical and spiritual burden that weighed me down everything that has weighed heavy on my shoulders has now been lifted lord and i am free all because of the power that's in your blood my strength is renewed and i have freedom in jesus christ lord just as your blood shielded the israelites from destruction in egypt i trust i believe and i pray that i too will be shielded from all forms of destruction in jesus name i thank you for fighting my battles lord may your name be given praise today and church and society as a whole first timothy chapter 3 verse 5 says for if someone does not know how to manage his own household how will he care for god's church paul is addressing deacons and overseers in this passage but the same principle applies to anyone claiming to be a servant of christ holiness starts in the home a godly life starts in the home serving god starts in the hall if we don't exercise love and compassion toward members of our own family how can we possibly set an example for christ outside our homes if we do not talk about the goodness of jesus christ if we don't testify of his grace and power within our own families how then can we go and testify to an unbeliever the bible in 1st timothy chapter 5 verse 8 puts it this way but if anyone does not provide for his relatives and especially for members of his household he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever the amplified translation says if anyone fails to provide for his own and especially for those of his own family he has denied the faith by disregarding its precepts and is worse than an unbeliever who fulfills his obligation in these matters do you see how important the family is do you see how important the service you provide to your family is this verse shows how seriously god takes the responsibility of the family we should be doing everything in our power to maintain peace and unity in every relationship we gain nothing by neglecting or antagonizing our families so saints take a moment hear me as i say this don't neglect your family find time to read the word together find time to pray together find time to simply talk about the lord together as a family when you do this you are walking in wisdom proverbs 11 verse 29 says whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart do not trouble your household do not intentionally harm or neglect your family i love that first corinthians chapter 1 verse 10 says i appeal to you brothers by the name of our lord jesus christ that all of you agree and that there be no divisions among you but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment now this doesn't mean you have to agree on every little detail all the time god created each of us with unique personalities unique tastes and even perspectives but when it comes to our core values our lifestyle and our mission we should have one mind that is centered on christ if you have children they may not yet have the maturity to recognize this that's why it is especially important to teach them to set the example so that they may be covered in christ the devil knows that if he can divide the family he can isolate each of us and make us more susceptible to spiritual attacks satan knows that if he can keep the kids in their rooms if he can keep dad focused on work and making money if he can keep mom distracted with her friends he knows that if he can keep the family from spending quality time in prayer or studying the bible if he can do this then he can effectively steal kill and destroy the home his only objective his only goal is to steal kill and destroy he will pit husband against wife children against parents all so that he can get us alone and vulnerable and so saints what can we do to prevent this from happening how can we how should we guard our family i believe that there are two things which are essential the first can be found in 1st peter chapter 4 verse 8 which says above all keep loving one another earnestly since love covers a multitude of sins this means that we are to have a fervent and unfailing love for one another because love covers a multitude of sins which means there is forgiveness there is selflessness true love in the family overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others love one another a simple command but so difficult at times when you're in the middle of a heated argument it can be hard to stop and recognize that the anger you are feeling might be harmful to your family and dishonoring to god and so we really need to pray that there is love a godly love in our families the second thing which i believe is essential is faith in god look to jesus the man in the home should be looking to jesus the woman in the home should be looking to jesus the children should be looking to jesus 2 thessalonians chapter 3 verse 3 says but the lord is faithful he will establish you and guard you against the evil one we are bound to fail at times but god supplies all the grace we need rely on him ask him to protect your family from every threat whether internal or external he is faithful trust in the lord to establish you and your family now let us pray [Music] father god thank you for blessing me with a beautiful family regardless of how imperfect my family may be i do thank you that i have a family to love and cherish and go through life with i know that you created each of us with wonderfully imitate you in every situation may a sweet spirit of forgiveness be abundant in our families whenever someone feels wrong may reconciliation and tenderness prevail over anger and bitterness help us to remember your command to love one another and bear with each other no matter the circumstance may we grow together in our love for christ and in our love for each other lord lord foster a wholesome and loving atmosphere in our home let this home be a safe place where each person can feel valued and cared for and free to be themselves holy spirit teach us how to love one another like jesus loved us teach us to be more selfless compassionate and humble unify us as a family so that we can go through life together set on one purpose advancing the kingdom of god lord rebuke every spirit of division bitterness and aggression that tries to enter our home these things have no place in a family seeking to honor christ above all father keep us unstained from the sinful ways of this world other families may strive for worldly success and social status but just as joshua said as for me and my house we will serve the lord lord be at the center of everything we say and do give us confidence and reassurance that you are always with us both individually and as a family for you are the good father who keeps watch over all his children you are our perfect example and for that we have you feeling outnumbered you may have been up against one attack after another after another you may be feeling tired and weary from the battles you fought or even battles you were still fighting but let me encourage you with the word of god in second kings chapter 6 elijah and his servant found themselves outnumbered they saw an army they saw horses and chariots everywhere second kings chapter 6 verse 15 says when the servant of the man of god got up and went out early the next morning an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city oh no my lord what shall we do the servant asked the servant saw that he and elijah were completely surrounded by their enemies people who were intent on killing them the servant's reaction was one of panic because he said oh no what shall we do but elisha's reaction which is found in verse 16 and 17 is one of peace confidence and boldness the bible says don't be afraid the prophet answered those who are with us are more than those who are with them and elisha prayed open his eyes lord so that he may see then the lord opened the servant's eyes and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around elisha and that's what i would like to encourage you with today as a child of god do not be afraid they that are for us are more than they that are against us as a man or woman of god listening don't be afraid about what the future holds don't be afraid about how you'll overcome they that are for us are more than they that are against us i encourage you to believe that jesus christ can bring about you for the great sacrifice that you made thank you that while we were yet still sinners you loved each and every one of us enough to die for us blameless you were without spot or blemish with no sins blood in the mighty name of jesus christ i pray amen what do you consider to be your biggest responsibility is it your job your role in the church a particular ministry the bible teaches that as a follower of christ your first responsibility should be to your family these are the people that god has given you to love and serve and go through life with we glorify god by serving our families well a strong unified and godly family produces effective members of the community the church and society as a whole first timothy chapter 3 verse 5 says for if someone does not know how to manage his own household how will he care for god's church paul is addressing deacons and overseers in this passage but the same principle applies to anyone claiming to be a servant of christ holiness starts in the home a godly life starts in the home serving god starts in the home if we don't exercise love and compassion toward members of our own family how can we possibly set an example for christ outside our homes if we do not talk about the goodness of jesus christ if we don't testify of his grace and power within our own families how then can we go and testify to an unbeliever the bible in 1st timothy chapter 5 verse 8 puts it this way but if anyone does not provide for his relatives and especially for members of his household he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever the amplified translation says if anyone fails to provide for his own and especially for those of his own family he has denied the faith by disregarding its precepts and is worse than an unbeliever who fulfills his obligation in these matters do you see how important the family is do you see how important the service you provide to your family is this verse shows how seriously god takes the responsibility of the family we should be doing everything in our power to maintain peace and unity in every relationship we gain nothing by neglecting or antagonizing our families so saints take a moment hear me as i say this don't neglect your family find time to read the word together find time to pray together find time to simply talk about the lord together as a family when you do this you are walking in wisdom proverbs 11 verse 29 says whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart do not trouble your household do not intentionally harm or neglect your family i love that first corinthians chapter 1 verse 10 says i appeal to you brothers by the name of our lord jesus christ that all of you agree and that there be no divisions among you but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment now this doesn't mean you have to agree on every little detail all the time god created each of us with unique personalities unique tastes and even perspectives but when it comes to our core values our lifestyle and our mission we should have one mind that is centered on christ if you have children they may not yet have the maturity to recognize this that's why it is especially important to teach them to set the example so that they may be covered in christ the devil knows that if he can divide the family he can isolate each of us and make us more susceptible to spiritual attacks satan knows that if he can keep the kids in their rooms if he can keep dad focused on work and making money if he could keep mom distracted with her friends he knows that if he can keep the family from spending quality time in prayer or studying the bible if he can do this then he can effectively steal kill and destroy the home that's his only objective his only goal is to steal kill and destroy he will pit husband against wife children against parents all so that he can get us alone and vulnerable and so saints what can we do to prevent this from happening how can we how should we guard our family i believe that there are two things which are essential the first can be found in 1st peter chapter 4 verse 8 which says above all keep loving one another earnestly since love covers a multitude of sins this means that we are to have a fervent and unfailing love for one another because love covers a multitude of sins which means there is forgiveness there is selflessness true love in the family overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others love one another a simple command but so difficult at times when you're in the middle of a heated argument it can be hard to stop and recognize that the anger you are feeling might be harmful to your family and dishonoring to god and so we really need to pray that there is love a godly love in our families the second thing which i believe is essential is faith in god look to jesus the man in the home should be looking to jesus the woman in the home should be looking to jesus the children should be looking to jesus 2 thessalonians chapter 3 verse 3 says but the lord is faithful he will establish you and guard you against the evil one we are bound to fail at times but god supplies all the grace we need rely on him ask him to protect your family from every threat whether internal or external he is faithful trust in the lord to establish you and your family now let us pray father god thank you for blessing me with a beautiful family regardless of how imperfect my family may be i do thank you that i have a family to love and cherish and go through life with i know that you created each of us with wonderfully unique personalities and preferences and even though we may have our differences at times lord jesus i pray that you would unite us unite our families lord in our love for you may we be of one accord may each of our relationships be rooted in the gospel of jesus christ let your grace and forgiveness characterize every interaction in our homes let your love a godly love be the umbrella of every conversation and confrontation [Music] may we be obedient to your word that tells us to be quick to listen and slow to anger father this world is hostile to god-fearing families satan wants nothing more than to tear us apart and separate us so that we may be isolated and vulnerable to spiritual attack however i pray right now that you would surround our families with a hedge of protection guard us from the traps of the enemy as well as our own sinful desires no matter how much time passes and no matter how old we get may we always find our strength and hope in the name of jesus lord help us to imitate you in every situation may a sweet spirit of forgiveness be abundant in our families whenever someone feels wrong may reconciliation and tenderness prevail over anger and bitterness help us to remember your command to love one another and bear with each other no matter the circumstance may we grow together in our love for christ and in our love for each other lord lord foster a wholesome and loving atmosphere in our home let this home be a safe place where each person can feel valued and cared for and free to be themselves holy spirit teach us how to love one another like jesus loved us teach us to be more selfless compassionate and humble unify us as a family so that we can go through life together set on one purpose advancing the kingdom of god lord rebuke every spirit of division bitterness and aggression that tries to enter our home these things have no place in a family seeking to honor christ above all father keep us unstained from the sinful ways of this world other families may strive for worldly success and social status but just as joshua said as for me and my house we will serve the lord lord be at the center of everything we say and do [Music] give us confidence and reassurance that you are always with us both individually and as a family for you are the good father who keeps watch over all his children you are our perfect example and for that we praise you thank you god for your righteousness and everlasting love i ask all these things in jesus name amen i may not know what the true extent of your struggle may be the events in your life may have you feeling outnumbered you may have been up against one attack after another after another you may be feeling tired and weary from the battles you fought or even battles you were still fighting but let me encourage you with the word of god [Music] in second kings chapter 6 elijah and his servant found themselves outnumbered they saw an army they saw horses and chariots everywhere second kings chapter 6 verse 15 says when the servant of the man of god got up and went out early the next morning an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city oh no my lord what shall we do the servant asked the servant saw that he and elijah were completely surrounded by their enemies people who were intent on killing them the servant's reaction was one of panic because he said oh no what shall we do but elisha's reaction which is found in verse 16 and 17 is one of peace confidence and boldness the bible says don't be afraid the prophet answered those who are with us are more than those who are with them and elisha prayed open his eyes lord so that he may see then the lord opened the servant's eyes and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around elisha and that's what i would like to encourage you with today as a child of god do not be afraid they that are for us are more than they that are against us as a man or woman of god listening don't be afraid about what the future holds don't be afraid about how you'll overcome they that are for us are more than they that are against us i encourage you to believe that jesus christ can bring about a change in your life he can bring about a change in your home and family and so regardless of what you face regardless of who or what comes against your home the bible says in psalm 34 7 the angel of the lord encamps around those who fear him and delivers them now let us pray father god in the name of jesus i come to you with a thankful heart i bless your holy name for your goodness and your mercy upon my life and my family thank you for your hand that is upon me and my family and my home you are worthy of all glory father and you are greatly to be praised in my life thank you for preserving me for protecting me guiding and leading me you led the children of israel by fire at night and with the cloud by day lead us today as your children lord you led them to cross the red sea on dry ground and i pray that you will part any sea before me and my family i pray that any opposing army any challenges or enemies that may try to pursue me will be destroyed in the name of jesus thank you my heavenly father for all the battles you fought for me and on my behalf i give you all the glory and all the honor for you alone are worthy that seeks to corrupt us we refuse and rebuke any spirit that is not from god we rebuke every spirit that seeks to disturb or hinder us from seeking you drive out any darkness any unclean thing from our homes and shine your pure holy light into our lives the enemy seeks only to steal kill and destroy but lord you give life in you there is fullness of joy in you there is protection and freedom help us to put on the full armor of god so that we may always be ready to withstand all of the enemies attacks we look to you to be our shield and defense because you hold all authority at your voice every demon trembles in fear in your presence no other power can stand no matter what doubts or thoughts that the enemy tries to plant in my heart nothing could ever take away my hope and faith in you nothing could take away the promise of eternal life that i have in you we desire to be within your arms king jesus in your arms is the safest place to be thank you god for your protection thank you you mark your home with the blood of jesus christ you are sending out a strong message to the enemy you are saying to the kingdom of darkness that a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but the attacks of the devil will not come near you or your home pleading the blood of jesus christ is a signal of intent you are waging war against every principality every ruler of darkness and every wicked thing you are saying this is the boundary you have no permission to touch this house in jesus name you have no permission to touch the residents in this home in jesus name pleading the blood of jesus christ is you activating psalm 121 verse 8 which says the lord will keep your going out and you're coming in from this time forth and forevermore there is miracle working power in the blood of jesus christ so as children of god as children of the most high we must be vigilant and know that the enemy will try and disturb the home he will seek to disturb the home in order to disturb you but i encourage you to hold on to revelation 12 verse 10 and 11. for the bible says then i heard a loud voice saying in heaven now salvation and strength and the kingdom of our god and the power of his christ have come for the accuser of our brethren who accused them before our god day and night has been cast down and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony the word of my testimony is that jesus christ is my lord and savior jesus christ is my protector jesus christ is the one who delivers me from all evil and all harm he is my sustainer he is my peace he is the chief cornerstone that holds my home together jesus christ is the very foundation that i have built my home he is my good shepherd who will never lead me to destruction begin to defeat the devil through the blood of the lamb and the word of your testimony so do not be filled with fear but instead be encouraged be encouraged by romans chapter 15 verse 13 let us pray lord jesus it is you that has preserved me it's you that has kept my home and sustained me i speak the precious blood of jesus so that it may form a boundary a perimeter that no devil or demons can cross because of you father my family is protected from every form of harm and danger and i am grateful that you continue to stand as my protection against the evil one lord jesus i pray that my home may be so covered by your presence may we be so hidden in you lord that we can experience psalm 91 and say my refuge and my fortress my god in whom i trust for he will deliver us from the constantly be with us let our homes become impenetrable fortresses of prayer and like philippians chapter 4 verse 8 says let my home be a place that focuses on whatever things are true whatever things are noble whatever things are just whatever things are pure whatever things are lovely whatever things are of good report if there is any virtue and if there is any praiseworthy meditate on these
