Creating the EASIEST Patterns for your RedBubble Shop Using Canva - RedBubble Design Tutorial

hi everyone welcome back to my channel my name is meloy and i teach creative people how to sell their art online and today's video is not a scheduled video it wasn't on the maze schedule list and we're actually going to have a lot of unscheduled videos this month due to the fact that i'm extremely productive here in bulgaria and i feel as if the time that it takes me to make videos is so much shorter like i'm way focused i'm doing them really fast which also means that the time that i'm editing the videos become shorter and well uploading videos here is pretty much 12 minutes instead of four hours so i'm looking into adding a little bit more videos this month because i've also been doing a lot of more research and there are a lot of things that i want to share with you guys there is something that i mentioned in some of my videos that you don't have to be a good graphic designer to be a good product designer which are two very different things i know very talented graphic designers that make the most awful products and i know people who know nothing about graphic design and just utilize tools that they found online or just work with shapes or simple colors and create the most amazingly designed products so today's video is gonna be pretty much about that because what we're gonna do is the easiest easiest most simple redbubble patterns or not even just for redbubble we're talking about any kind of print on demand we're even talking about wall art as well as printables we're going to be using canva and doing just the simplest simplest designs that anyone can do without even having any design skills i'm using canva pro myself but for this specific tutorial you could also be using canva the free version if you are using the free version and want to try out canva pro for 30 days you will find a link to that down below and i really wanted to show you this system because i think that a lot of people pay very much attention to text designs and very little attention into actual making patterns and it's really easy to make patterns even if you are not making this crazy you know watercolor flowers and trees and leaves patterns making patterns from just shapes and different elements that you could find on canva is super super easy all of the patterns you're gonna see today can be made in pretty much 20 different colors or color schemes or color sets and it's all about finding what works for you and not just creating one or two patterns for your rippable store but making a lot more patterns you can also use them for society6 however i will be showing how i make these patterns as well as upload them onto redbubble so this is more of a wearable targeted tutorial but if you're making any type of hoodies any type of all over print clothing if you're using the chinese supplier this new and you want to try out some of their stuff with these patterns they also go well with them they also have a tiling effect and we will be talking a lot more about this supplier from china that is called this new in our future videos i'm actually in the process of making another order from them for print and a man shoes and tote bags that you can design both sides of and a lot more other products that i will be also sharing with you my design process throughout designing these products like i have not done in the previous video about the supplier i'm also obviously going to show you the quality and go a little bit more redbubble shopping than i did last time for a little bit more redbubble product review yesterday's shop review video was really so before they start but you know what let's just get started by going to my screen and designing awesome patterns for redbubble or any other kind of print-on-demand business so we just opened up canva and we're gonna click on create a design and if you've seen any of my videos you know the size that i like to use is 5000 by 5000 pixels it's a large enough size to fit a lot of products and we are making a pattern so it's going to fit the larger ones as well and it's the maximum size you can basically open up as a square when using canva and what we're going to do today is actually kind of simple let's just start by going to elements going to grids and going all the way down down down down down to the maximum amount of grids basically images that you can do and i'm going to select this grid but what i'm going to do is i'm going to push it down this way and i'm going to click on spacing and minimize my spacing and i don't know if you've known this but these are grids that are meant for images so for example if i go to photos and i grab one of the photos and i put it here it exists here but you can also just color them so i'm going to click on one of them and i'm going to go with i'm trying to think about you know a color scheme that i like so i'm going to click on black go to colors and i think i want to make something that is green so i'm going to go here and i can click here to color this at the same color of the top one or even take it a bit darker and this would be my first design now i know it looks weird but it actually creates a really interesting design i can also duplicate this and space these up up until the top to create this design let me just go over it again and switch the colors and in this case what i'll do is i'm not going to do the scheme like i did before i'm just going to click on here and take it to this area sort of like where the light blue meets the blue and color it this way and i'm gonna do it to every one of these colors just hit it up and do this way and with this system it's pretty simple and pretty easy to just create new and interesting designs i think that a lot of people don't understand that something simple can be good and i've heard people like you know you need to do like these crazy patterns you know patterns that are really complex but the fact is that even you know simple text t-shirts sell why not simple patterns and we are going to mix them up a bit in just a few minutes so we have this green we have this green we have this blue but let's do something else i'm just going to delete the black background go back to my elements and find something different like this one go to the spacing minimize the grid and i want to do something that is sort of like magenta or pink so i'm going to go here choose these colors make sure that these two at the upper part match go here choose this color again but make it more vivid go here choose the vivid color again make it brighter and i want to mix and match here so what i'm going to do is i'm going to repeat these colors but in a different way so this one is going to be this color this one is going to be this color and this one is going to be this color so that they're sort of like not touching each other and i can use this pattern as is or create another pattern from it by downloading basically the fourth design on jpeg and upload it back onto canva as a design this time go here go to my elements and find the two-on-two grid that holds four photos which is this one and don't forget to minimize your spacing because they always come out spaced go back to my uploads and copy this to everything that i just did now if you've been using redbubble you know i can pretty much do this by just multiplying it anyway but what i want to do here is sort of change it up because i can click on one of them and hit flip and it will revert it same as i can do with this one and hit flip and i will have a sort of a different pattern another pattern idea i can do is go back to my elements and scroll all the way down and i'm looking for something that sort of has a center to it that sort of has these like photos that surround a certain center and we do have this one which is a full on even but i don't want to use this one i think this one is more my speed click on spacing and minimize and what i'm going to do here is i'm going to color these let's make this one an orange design color these in orange color this in orange let's choose a slightly different orange for these and all of the bottom because at the bottom we have multiple multiple squares and i want to find something for the center here so what i can do is i can go again to elements but this time i'm going to think about something maybe let's think about an i or let's just type in a symbol because i think we have like an interesting symbols that we might be able to use and i really do i'm sort of trying to create maybe like a tile i don't even know what i'm trying to create by the way but sort of this triangle here and let's center it all the way in the exact center and we can give this a different color and as you can see you can also change the colors of the eye and what i want to do here is i want to take this eye all the way down to the bottom part here and i'm going to zoom in a bit and i'm going to move it all the way so it's going to touch the sides it's going to touch here as well and i'm going to straighten it up to fit this inner line here and then click on zoom fit and put it back in and what i can do now is basically match the colors that i've done here to the colors of the eye that i'm using i can also leave them as is but you know let's make these a few adjustments so it might be cooler and then bring them back to the same color and let's see if i zoomed in enough if this looks good enough and you see i have a little space here a little white here i'm just gonna push it down with my keyboard until i do not see a white space here and then i can go back to fitting it and this is how it looks and i'm gonna do the same thing here by downloading a jpeg of the sixth design which is the one with the eye and download i'm going to re-upload this design onto canva go here duplicate this because we basically had all these grids here and just switch it up and as i switch it up it doesn't flip automatically but what i can do is go here flip this one horizontally flip this one vertically and this one vertically and horizontally and this could be another separate design that we will repeat as a pattern and of course we don't know how this looks as a pattern until we try it out so let's just do another one let's go back to our elements clear this up a bit and see all of the available grids i want grid with many many photos i'm just like scrolling all the way down and i have this interesting grid here i'm just gonna clear out the spacings and i'm gonna color these hmm i want to do a color that we have not done yet maybe let's go with purple sort of but i do like like the hard pastel colors we can do these ones the same and go over basically the color scheme of purple in the other smaller boxes you have this one and then this one obviously you can do it a bit different you can change it up but then let go here and do any kind of pattern that we want maybe we can type in a square we can type in a symbol i think i'll feel more better with it once i see something that i like i really like this glowing one although i don't think it will come off nice when it's printed out and maybe just search something else maybe a sun would be nice a moon a sun where you can try oh leaves let's do leaf and we have some cute leaves here some autumn leaves some green leaves and we can just put something on and see how it feels we can also decide to move it up a bit we can decide to center it we can decide that we want to change the colors of the background and here i have magic recommendations that open up so i'm going to have a look at them because these are sort of like matching designs and here we have a flower that i'm going to put here in here and what i want to do is right now i'm looking at this and maybe the colors are not right for what i'm trying to do so i'm just going to move the leaf go here and try to find a color that i see fit or maybe color that fits the other one so maybe the magenta but maybe like very bright because this leaf is very dark center the leaf here remove this little flower and color this in green or maybe like a softer green that we have here and see if it fits if we like it you don't have to you know you're not married to that specific flower if you looked at it and it's not good for you and if you want to try something else always make sure to switch it up see what you like i can also switch it to the same leaf and put it in but let's just flip it both ways to create sort of a circle and we can change these colors accordingly maybe put this one in green and this one would be pink and this would be another design and what i'm going to do here with page 8 i'm also going to download it as jpeg so that i can use it again in a different grid again and i really do love making these weird patterns where you basically just use up different things because what i'm going to do now is duplicate this page remove the leaves i'm going to upload this design here and insert it in these boxes and this will be a pattern i can also do it all the way through in the tiny ones or i can duplicate one of these and put it all the way here and what i can do is also flip them i think that once you get started you really come to realize like the potential that you have in each and every one of these designs and you can sort of make like a lot of very different things and when i'm looking at this one now i kind of feel like i know what i want to do so i'm going to delete these leaves here i already saved the file and i'm going to go to elements and maybe type in corner and i just want a simple corner for this one put it all the way up to the side you have to kind of watch where you're putting it because it's going to want to connect with what you're doing now if i try to move this one it's just going to go into one of these elements and i don't want to do that so what i'm going to do is i'm going to go all the way here and just sort of stretch it out in a way to make it just going to put it here and stretch it in here as well and i'm going to copy paste it flip it over on both ends stretch it all the way here by the way this could be a design too and stretch it all the way down and maybe i want to change something about the colors here i'm not sure let's just give it a try let's put it a bit down change this color up to let's make it white and push this back up take this one push it down change this one also to white push it back up and what i'm going to do here is create a scheme of black and gray colors so i can choose this one to be black and it's sort of going to match itself together if i did it correctly it has this like tiny lines here i'm thinking maybe i don't want to do it on full-on black i want to make sure that it is aligned with everything everything is aligned properly and i'm thinking i'm just going to delete those and i'm thinking maybe this one is not a really good one because it kind of feels like it's not really adjusting itself to me so i'm gonna put this one and now here you can see that you have the double purple size the double purple layer which means that this is fully on made to basically fit this corner and what i'm going to do with this one is i'm going to stretch it all the way through and flip it twice to be on the side and i'm going to copy paste it flip it twice again push it all the way down here and inside and i just want to make sure that i match the colors i can keep them on with the green and the pink it actually looks kind of cute but i do want to have something that is more you know black and and white black and gray this is also something that a lot of people are searching for they're searching you know black and white curtains geometric curtains black and white you know everything basically so black and white is a good fit in many situations and as i said before i can leave it this way even though i want to make it a bit brighter in some points i can have this this way and upload on this to redbubble or what i can do is i can let me see that it aligns right i can download the page 9 all over again like we did with the rest and re-upload it onto canva and let's just have some fun here because i can take this design and slap it on here and then change these colors but i want this one to stay intact for me i can also duplicate this one which again holds four different patterns like it's a two by two grid and copy all of these here and again if i upload this file onto redbubble and i will choose the template it's going to look like this but what i can also do is again flip this one horizontally and flip this one horizontally and it sort of looks kind of weird i'm not sure that it really looks good now that i'm looking at it even though i kind of like it i don't know how to explain it but i kind of like it we have these double dots here that might not be as pretty to everyone else so i'm going to just delete these dots i'm going to go back to elements and i'm just going to type in triangle you know we said this is going to be a simple tutorial let's make it simple guys and i'm just going to go with the most basic corner triangle make sure that it is 90 degrees aligned put it here and shrink this down i'm going to do the same for this one and here you can do this type of triangle or you can turn it all the way here to this shape and what i want to do here is i can take up this triangle and basically color it in black or color it in white and my background is white so i can change the color of my background to black i will do it also here by moving this in and basically making space for myself for this and put this make sure that it's centered and centered i love that canva has these like grid lines that show me when i'm centered or not i think it's super easy and super fun and color this in white and i can also color these in white the top edges and then i'm going to download again a jpeg of my 10th design re-upload it onto canva go back to this design that was sort of like so so and add it up this is the easiest way to create beautiful patterns and i really do i really do like it and then we have sort of like this tile effect and what i'm thinking right now is that i can even patternize this one so i'm going to go back to my black and white and i'm going to choose different colors so everything that's going to be black is going to now be white and the white is going to be black so for that let's just open this up this was the triangle choose the square make it white go back open the triangle make it black take this square minimize the white triangle make the space behind it white and the triangle black put the triangle back in place go here this is black now it's going to be white this is white it's going to be black and these two are going to switch up so this is going to be the lighter one this is going to be the darker one and vice versa and what i'll do now is download page 10 again as a jpeg this is a lot of download and upload guys i think like it's the most important part of this design is just a bunch of downloads and uploads and i'm going to re-upload it here go back to this part duplicate this and put these in and what i'm trying to do now is to flip this one over and flip this one over so that my center is going to be white and now i'll download both of these pages in jpegs page number eight and page number nine to create another pattern using both of them which is gonna be fun i really do love making patterns i think there is a lot of potential when you make things simple whether you're doing it for redbubble or for any other kind of print on demand there is a lot to learn from just good old clean pattern work and what we're going to do here this is already split in four i'm going to drag this here this here this here and this here and this will be my pattern and what i want to look into now is what i want to download and what i want to use so i do want to use this one i think it will be nice for the leggings because the leggings sort of have like this top part i'm just going to show you so this one i want to download i also want to download i don't want to download this screen i'm just going to delete it i want to download this blue this one is already been downloaded and it's being used here let's delete it up we also have this one that i want to use this one that i want to use this one that i want to use these ones i've already downloaded i can delete them up this one i've already downloaded i can delete it as well as this one and i think that this one i'm trying to figure out which one i want i think that i can also delete this one and we have six designs i'm just gonna download i'm just this time i'm actually gonna write something i'm gonna write down redbubble and i'm gonna download all of these designs as jpeg files you can do them as any type of files that you want but they're big enough to be used as jpegs and you don't have to use png because they are quite big and the colors are very simple the animation is very simple it's going to be printed out perfect let's just open it up and open my redbubble account to add a new item and i'm going to upload new work by choosing from my redbubble let's start with the first one now it's not going to look good on a t-shirt so i'm not enabling it on t-shirts on a tank top it's already big enough but what i can always do is also choose a pattern for this to go on and it's going to look something like this which i'm not sure that i like so i can just scale it all the way to 100 and basically not really use that pattern and use this up as it is here it already looks good on the chiffon top on the graphic t-shirt what i can do the t-shirt dress is bring it all the way up because the fact is that the last part is so pale that it really connects with being white i don't need to change anything and the t-shirt it looks good i'm gonna do the same with the a-line dress by just picking it up and i'm going to try maybe patternizing it a bit so it's going to look a bit better sort of like this is going to be in the center or at the top stickers and magnets you can you can activate it or even though it wasn't just created for it it doesn't really look good at it the floor pillows already look amazing laptops maybe just push it up a bit don't forget to center it if you've moved it around and the duvets and comforters i can choose a pattern let's see what goes up with offset grid i don't think it looks good because we didn't do any centralizing here we can just put it up or you could just cancel it with the mags i'm going to raise it almost all the way up because i want all my colors to be visible and travel mug is the same the skirts already look good you don't really need to do anything with them the scarf you can leave it as is or you can give it a frame and it looks kind of nice i'm not going to touch these ones maybe i can make this one even bigger like this and sort of put it like that and this would be the drawstring bag with sort of like this extra layer that i created in white because i just moved it up i can do the same here and i can do also the same here by eliminating the black all together and creating a white layer the clock looks very nice i know that a lot of people what they like to do with the clock is to make sure that this sort of hits this one so i'm going to make it a bit bigger and i'm going to put the black line all over here in the middle so these are actually like going to come out of the horizon of whatever that was and with the throw blankets and tapestries again i'm just gonna choose this pattern and center it a bit you don't have to activate them if you don't think that they look good i'm gonna choose the pattern here as well push it a bit up and this time i don't have the white option at the bottom because i patternized it push this one a bit up i am going to activate this i think this one looks really really nice and interesting i'm just going to push it up and sunderize it and the bottom is just going to be white i think it looks kind of nice the cotton tone bags i'm not going to activate them i don't think they look good this one i'm going to raise a bit up and center the face masks actually look kind of nice i kind of like this sort of effect and i do think that a lot of people constantly think about how to make a design complex but i did like face mask designs that i want to order and i want simple face masks i think that like having this like stripes face masks in all of the colors could be nice because it's actually like it's sort of become this accessory that we now use every day so not everybody wants like something complex jigsaw puzzles i have nothing to do here but the leggings are going to come off interesting because i know that a lot of women have problem with the legging pattern because that legging pattern sort of like hits the crotch area or the bottom area so what i can do is raise it almost all the way up so i have the white here below make sure that it's horizontally centered and these would be leggings it's kind of cool and with the socks i can just push this one up and i think i should patternize it i don't think otherwise it will look as good um the bag actually came out quite interesting i did not see that coming guys i did not see how cool this will come out let's just try and move it a bit unless i change my mind but it came out quite nice i think this whole like pattern repeating itself kind of thing let's make it bigger and i'm going to try and make sure that just this part hits this part and it looks kind of interesting to me i kind of like it let's go with the duffel bags by patternizing the whole thing and seeing how it goes so one side is going to be black the other side is going to be cascading it has an interesting vibe to it i don't mind and with the face masks i'm also going to lift it up so it's going to be more green than black and i'm done this is digital art this is design and illustration if you have your life in patterns which is what i have and i always choose a different a default product i never leave it to the other person to to see based on what they like and i'm just going to scroll up and one of my favorite products here is either the notebook the wooden canvas i think the face mask is a good choice as well as the apron so i'm just going to choose the mask this is not mature content and yes i have the rights to use it because i just made this design in a few seconds on canva and this is my design i really love the legging guys let me just open it in a new window i am totally digging those leggings i think they look fantastic and i think that if you do it for each and every one of your products you can really create a lugging collection whether you're doing it for redbubble or whether you're doing it for other print and demand companies or with your own printed demand shopify store let's go back up and create another design by uploading maybe let's upload this one this time and of course you can upload whatever you want you can upload all of them you can create a series i just want to show you how different things look on different products and i'm gonna disable this on the large print clothing sleeveless top i'm going to leave the same and let's go here and choose a regular pattern or an offset grid so you can just choose whichever one you want an offset grid here just mixing it up a bit and i think that it makes for interesting dresses i know a lot of people like geometric patterns and all these kind of things i think it really creates sort of like this interesting design because sometimes people don't want to wear or don't want to accessorize themselves with anything like that has like a sentence or something sometimes they just want to wear like a certain color that fits them more and i really do love this thing here even though that the regular like the offset grid is not coming off as pretty as i wanted i'm just seeing like a tiny glitch in it that i don't want to use so i'm going to make sure that everything is on regular grid and not on the offset one just to make sure that it looks the best that it can be these ones were normal and i don't know if you've noticed but i sort of did like one pillow this thing and one pillow like this so this like the pattern is more centered and focused the prints in the cards actually look good it's not gonna look good on a card but the prints it's kind of look nice sort of like this um abstract kind of modern art and also for the shower curtain and this could also look amazing for shower curtains and duvets if it's going to be blue and we have here the mug the tumbler the mini skirt can just stay the same or if you want you can also repeat this pattern with the scarves now i'll just you know choose repeat pattern and i can even make it really really really small i kind of like it when it's like really really really small it's kind of cool it's kind of this like weird checkered vibe on the notebook and the hardcover i'm just going to make it the parts are going to be a bit bigger the clock i'm going to leave the same i think it kind of looks nice i'm just i'm just going to change the outside of the clock the frame color to white i think it would be more fitting in on display the acrylic blocks and coasters i can minimize them and choose a pattern again the throw blankets and tapestries i'll also make this a pattern bath mat obviously a pattern but i'm i'm leaving it like a big pattern because the shower curtains are like very small so i want it to sort of like appear as if it matches in a way and then the bottles the mounted print again with a pattern and you can make it as small or as big as you want the face mask actually looks kind of nice this way but i am going to patternize it because i think it looks better this way the apron looks fantastic but let's just patternize it just a bit with the regular grid and now we have our leggings and what you could do with the leggings is either leave them like this or you can choose a pattern but then again you have this like sort of line here that a lot of women don't like to wear so what you can do is choose no pattern make sure that it's the biggest image that you have push it all the way down here centralize it horizontally and set the background color to be black and these would be your leggings if you want to make it this way if you want to make it in a different way and these could also be like very interesting leggings socks i'm going to patternize them all the way this is a great system to create like sort of like these geek socks the back actually looks pretty good this way maybe give it a bit more of a pattern i'm thinking or what you can do is sort of stretch it all the way here and then we have the white so it's either white well let's make it like a black background i know a lot of people who like this bag sort of this way or sort of this way where parts of it are black or just you know let's patternize the whole thing i can do the same thing with a duffel bag either patternize it or choose a different color to sort of be a complete color to it and with my face mask i'm gonna do the same or again here i can also make this one very big push it down to the center and color this one in black or color this one in white it will also create a sort of an interesting effect and save this design and here the item i really want to showcase would be not the face mask i kind of like the a-line dress for it or maybe the graphic t-shirt let's go with the graphic t-shirt as my featured image or maybe the tote bag i think the tote bag is gonna also gonna look good so let's choose a tote bag not mature content and carry on and i like how it came out i actually like this face mask style i'm not sure why i really like the dress i really like the graphic and i really do love the leggings they look kind of fun they're simple but they're fun and i also like the iphone covers and i really do love how this one came out but you know what let's make another one because we have so many other patterns that we've downloaded so let's just add in another design and this time let's upload the weird recurring pattern that we basically did multiple times and let's go down here and as you can see i can just choose this pattern make it a regular grid an offset grid it kind of looks weird so the regular grid is going to be just fine and i'm just going to go and quickly change everything onto a regular grid you can make it as small or as big as you want even like the smaller ones i think they kind of look good and you can also do this with different colors like what i did here you know with the black and the white and the gray you can also do it with you know the dark purple light purple and white or black and white and pink or black and white and blue and it really does come to show you that you have endless opportunities and possibilities with something so simple as just you know doing like square shapes and triangle shapes i mean that was like super super easy it was really really easy really really fun and it comes to show you that when we're talking about graphic design i think that a lot of people confuse graphic design with product design because you can be an amazing graphic designer and a bad product designer and you can also be a very you know i don't even think what we did can be called graphic design if you're looking at people who do illustrations who actually do you know art but what we're doing here now is product design and you can make a whole red bubble store just with patterns you can keep on creating patterns some people are still looking for patterns and sort of do your instagram marketing or your pinterest marketing around the fact that all of these items are basically going to complement each other because if i have this design that is sort of like this black and white and gray and i make this design to be black and white and pink so my throw pillows can be one of each i can choose one of each as my throw pillows and basically create this sort of like unspoken set in the process for people with modern home designs and i've also talked about this when we were talking about making blogs so if you make a blog for modern decor this could be a really good selling point especially if you do it you know yourself and not with redbubble if you do it with your own store either on etsy or on shopify you know just selling you know shower curtains or even wall curtains i know that the chinese supplier that i've been working with this new they have window curtains like you know regular curtains so that could be a good idea too for curtains and you also have curtains on society6 but you don't have the pattern option with society6 so you kind of have to make the patterns manually this could be like a really messed up puzzle for someone this could be like the hardest puzzle in the world i'm just gonna activate it because it looks really interesting and with the leggings again we can do the same thing we can just open this down put this down center it horizontally and just make this black i can also not make this black i can also make this one like blue like this make the image a bit bigger and take it down almost all the way down and create these kind of leggings i don't know if you like it or not i don't know if i would wear it but it looks kind of interesting and i kind of want to play around with it now i can also create you know a background for this one scale the image and move it to the side or even move it like this sort of create this like weird effect that this one has a different color i can also do something like this or change it to something very hot like the pink this actually looks like a very interesting bag now that i'm looking at it and i really do want to use that pink again i think it was a nice idea i think this is cool i like it and i'm gonna do the same thing with the face mask by putting it down centralizing it and choosing that hot magenta pick again i'm very magenta today guys i'm feeling super magenta i don't know why and this is digital art this is design design and illustration and life and patterns and what i want to choose for this one i'm not sure if i want to choose in the socks the mask because they're all really pretty i'm just thinking right now maybe i want to add some magenta to some of these i'm not sure maybe the throw pillow or the a-line dress can be a really nice idea or the bath mat as a feature product or maybe just the backpack you know let's choose the backpack let's choose the backpack this is no mature content and save our work and let's check out how it looks on mockups i really do like this one i really do like this mask i actually also like it as a magnet you know i think this magnet really has potential i also like the sleeveless top and the leggings actually came off interesting i don't know if you've noticed it or if you think the same but i kind of like these leggings and i really want to check out my backpack again because i really do oh the tapestry looks really good this is really like you know if you're looking for what to write in your tags then this is like geometric patterns vintage tile art mosaic and modern decor i love the backpack it also has this like pink stripe here the duffel bag is awesome i really do love these designs i'm not sure i'm not even sure why but they are so simple and a lot of people do love simple and to me as someone who might think about designing a new home if you would have had this pattern in like all the colors of the rainbow just imagine how cool it would be to have like a mug in each and every one of these colors or three different throw pillows to match a different throw blanket or the shower curtain to match a different bath mat it looks really really cool and the coasters look awesome i really do love this system i think it's awesome and let's just do another one we've designed a lot more um i want to see how the leaf thing comes out let's of course delete it from here squish it down and patternize it it looks kind of interesting i'm not sure if i like it or not let me try maybe replacing this one with the eye one we also did it in different patterns and you can play along with it i just want to show you another quick one before we go back to me and talk about this some more and talk about tomorrow as well but i really do i think i kind of like it i think the weird eye thing is really cool i think it's coming up really really weird really really weird i mean it's really weird and it looks nice when it's small i'm not sure if i'd wear it at this point i'm trying to see if i like it or not i think i i have a lot of love and hate relationship with many of my designs so we also have the source file so we can actually you know just repeat the i itself and i'm gonna stop what i'm doing and just upload that eye as well because we also have this one and the downloads just this simple one because this is you know just a simple basic one that we had at the beginning which of course i need to change the name now and with this i i'm actually thinking maybe to do place it on some of these shirts and i don't know let's see how it looks after that large print clothing just make sure that it's all the way up for it to look better and what i can do here is just choose each pattern whatever pattern that i want i can make it the simple pattern and i think it looks better than the pattern that i recreated after that using canva i really oh this looks amazing oh my god okay so i love this i think i should do it with like so many different types of things because it sort of looks like it's cascading it really is cool it's like this graphic total graphic illusion i'm loving it okay this is my favorite design for today totally totally my favorite design for today i'm speechless guys let's choose this one it really does look cool and i'm actually gonna leave it like this on the phone i think it looks really nice on the phone this way like this maybe i can also leave it on the pillow like the small pillow which is also the tote bag but on the big pillow i'm going to do the skating thing it really is like this optical illusion thing don't forget to put in optical illusion in your keywords if this is what you're doing it looks i love it it's so funny how something that i did to be a part of a pattern that came off bad ended up being something that i'm using and i'm loving how it looks as is right now not how i intended it to be and again you know the whole graphic design versus product design conundrum i think that this one looks cool i'm just gonna leave it as is i think it's kind of fancy i can also leave this one as is by giving it sort of like this another orange frame that sort of coexists with this and of course i leave the notebook this way because i will make it sort of like a set with the journal clock is going to stay the same acrylic block is going to stay the same and i'm actually thinking i want to order a blanket right now with this it looks really good i did not see this coming guys i totally thought that this would be the weirdest design for today we're just going to call it as it is a weird design that failed but i'm really liking it and the best part the best thing about it is that you could basically you know create it in all of the different colors and i'm trying to think if i like it i want the mountain print to be this way i really do like it and tote bags i'm gonna disable i don't like how it looks because of the colors because the colors here are way too similar to the colors of the tote bag the pin button is really small i'm not sure that i like it you can leave the mask as it is here or again make this weird pattern on it the apron can stay the same the jigsaw puzzle is going to be what we call a mind blender i don't think anyone could ever solve this do so puzzle it's so confusing brilliant and we pattern that we've done here um like that really emphasizes the crazy pattern that came to life here maybe the dress or the floor pillow yeah floor pillow could be a good idea and again if you're doing this and if you having all these patterns then you have your choice of products based on the designs that you want to do but i think that my redbubble store has sort of become on the back burner since i started this channel so i'm just choosing what looks pretty i don't have the design concept anymore i used to just have like majiang designs this channel has really changed my style i actually kind of do like how it looks on a t-shirt you know it is kind of cool and it's a beautiful magnet it's a beautiful magnet and again you could just do it in all of the colors again and again and again and again and again it's just so cool let me see which one is my favorite oh this looks nice kind of creepy but nice i really do like it i didn't think that i would like this exact guys i can't stop smiling i don't even know why i didn't think i would like this design so much you know these are quite beautiful and this is probably going to be the hardest puzzle in the world to solve and with that being uploaded and done let's get back to me and talk a bit more about designing this way about the options that you have and a little bit more about tomorrow and we're back to me after finishing this long session of designing pretty much so many different types of products so many different types of patterns there is so much that you can do with this i mean even like the black and white patterns that i did could be colorful every colorful design that i did can be made into black and white and with these patterns to succeed i feel like there are like three things that you need to do and the first one is to really create a variety of different products a variety of different colors with the same pattern so that they would sort of maybe create a set or people could really go in and if they love this specific mosaic tile style they will find it in each color that fits their home or their fashion style the second thing to contribute to success is being consistent with uploading and really making sure that you have enough collections and even adding in some items and really exploring how creative you could get because you saw that while we were doing this even just the eye pattern the idea it didn't come off as the eye pattern i just used it as a singular form and it was really really pretty and just play around with it move it down a bit on the product add a different background and really see how you can take this simple tutorial and really become a product designer not a graphic designer and an artist but a product designer and the third key to success with these kind of patterns is really show off the range of colors that you have the range of matching styles that you have on your facebook instagram and pinterest and really showing like you know one pillow is this pattern in blue and another pillow in this pattern in green and you can use place it for it because they have mock-ups that include more than one pillow or more than one product for example like a duvet cover and a pillow you also have a lot more amazing mock-ups for different kinds of household items you can match a t-shirt to a mug that someone's holding it's really really fun and really really easy and we actually had a playset video i think it was a few weeks ago and i'm going to leave a link to that down below moving on to our schedule because the next few days are actually pretty scheduled up i just realized that it turns out i'm doing like five videos in five days but i feel like i'm so rested and i had so much vacation i mean between the morning when i did the screenshot part and between now i actually went downstairs had a morning tai chi sessions with two of my friends here at the co-working space at the four leaf clover in bansko and then i went to the market i got really looking forward to more and more videos in here in bansko but just so you know tomorrow we have an etsy seo video which we will also go over listings the names the descriptions how does etsy really place seo keywords where do you really put them we're gonna go over etsy seo tools like e-rank i'm guessing a lot of you know them but we're gonna talk about how to use them properly etsy seo is also affected by google seo and i mean people can find you through google when they're searching on google and if you want to make like a preparation for tomorrow's video go ahead and watch the trending right now on etsy and if you're doing printed man or printables it's quite easy to actually physically design a product that someone is looking for so this will be quite an interesting video for those of you who do printed a man or printables on etsy the day after that on the 18th we will have art from shapes and i really don't want to say a lot about this video because i feel like you really do need to see it because you can make amazing amazing designs that look totally illustrated just from using the basic shapes that we have and we're going to be using camera for that and i'm also thinking we're going to be placing some of these designs on redbubble or making them into seamless patterns it's going to be a long video in two days very informative in terms of design style very inspirational also if you're into that thing making your own clip art really easy that's the video for you and on the 19th i'm gonna meet you in i don't know yet where i need to find like a good location here to film i want to film this video from nature and it's basically going to be 101 of introduction to affiliate marketing which is something that i've been doing i think for like seven years i think i started no even eight years i started 2013 and it's something that i'm really looking forward to sharing with you guys and making more videos about in the month of june i'm also open
