''Covenant Connections' - (Dec. 1, 2011)

net connections and we're talking about strategic alliances we will with the Shunammite woman and I'm going to teach you tonight is that good let's talk about Mary and Elizabeth tonight we've done Jonathan and David and I was going to go back to the shunammite woman but I think I'm going to go with Mary and Elizabeth tonight and some of those confident connections then on Sunday we'll wrap up relationships and and we're going to finalize it but it's been really helpful to break and discern what is a godly and an ungodly soul time the importance of partnership and in the power of that so let's go to Luke chapter 1 verse 26 through about 38 you want to be seated do you want to stand I'm teaching tonight so y'all stay oh thank you thank you you know my custom it's just it's hard for me to break some things the Word of God so holy to me Luke chapter one I know we wear jeans now in church but I still stand for the word Luke chapter one verse 26 and let's look verse through about 38 here and there's so much because Mary as we know is the most unlikely candidate and she will usher in in my opinion the greatest move of God shall bring forth the Son of God and she'll be used mightily and she comes from very simplistic background but the plan of God would have been aborted had she not gone to the right person and she not made the right hook up because as you're going to see tonight that even her parents and family people would have misunderstood now let's make it real we're gonna bring it down to where we live today y'all know if you went to your mama if you went to your husband or your fiance or if you went to your pastor even or you went to pastor Michael and you said the Holy Ghost overshadowed me and I am pregnant that was a girl that's a good one I mean let's bring it down that this is this is I mean I mean God didn't tell anyone else I'm going to do this thing in her I mean it wasn't thunders it wasn't in fact it could have taken her life she have been stoned I mean she should have been put to death and she's going to be used by God and the whole plan of God would have been aborted if she did not go to the right person because her connection with Elizabeth was able to cover what other people would have misunderstood there's some things that God puts in your heart that if you reveal them too soon you'll kill the plan of God you have to know who do i connect my dream to who do I connect what I'm caring to because if i connect with the wrong person they might not understand the workings of Christ in my life right now and it will abort and kill what God wants to bring forth and carry so it's beyond just you having the right hookup this is about a bigger picture of you bringing forth the plan of God look at somebody say right people are about to come into my life Luke chapter 1 verse 26 because we know it takes one person to bless you and one person to mess you up Luke chapter 1 verse 26 let me hear you and in the six month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto city of Galilee named Nazareth to Virgin espoused a man whose name was Joseph of the house of David and the Virgin's name was Mary and the angel came in to her and said hail that was highly favored the Lord is with thee blessed are thou among women and when she saw him she was troubled at his saying and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be now let's camp out there because I promise you're going to get out by 8:30 tonight she was troubled has God ever given you something so big that it was hard to digest I mean it was like because the promise is always going to be bigger than the person that's one of the ways you know this is God because it's bigger than you what God begins to speak to you and trouble doesn't mean like I'm upset it just means that it's hard to digest because where did she start having the battle right away in her mind she's trying to wrap her mind around how is this thing going to come to pass it's not that her heart's not right with God because God speed to her and she's like hey I'm in bring do whatever you want to do I've prayed God if you can use anyone use me I sign me up I believe for nations be shaken but immediately immediately and this is where always the battlefield will be and that's why you've got to say so connected to the Spirit of God because immediately she starts thinking in her mind now how's all this going to happen and that's where you can forfeit your faith that's where doubt and unbelief and fear and all the other weaponry of the enemy comes in because your mind tries to figure out God and God is not analytical God doesn't make sense in fact if it usually makes sense you can pretty much mark it's not God he's illogical he doesn't things don't - and - don't add up - for the economy of God so she says what manner of salutation and when she saw him she's troubled at saying in casting her mind what manner of salutation this should be and the angel said to her fear not so immediately what the angel do stops the fear so there's so much teaching here immediately the angel says I'm rebuking fear so you have to do follow the pattern that when God begins to speak to you what's the first thing that you're going to wrestle with in your mind okay when things start shifting and happening around here where is the first thing you're going wrestle in your mind because a stronghold is a mindset that's resistant to change so the first thing you got to do to your mind is say fear not fear not fear not you've got to go with a peace of God you've got to be able to fill it in your spirit so you've got to speak to your mind good teaching pastor Paula and the angel said fear not Mary for thou has found what favor with God now I believe the you are favored by God God has favored you that's why you're planted it without walls and behold thou shalt conceive when you have favored you become a birther when you have favor you start producing things so one of the offsprings of favor is conception when you have the favor of God you start getting pregnant see I see men that are pregnant in this place I know that you'd rather me whooping holler right now so I'll do it the way you wanted and in the name of Jesus I decree and I declare there once you find favor with God you will get pregnant but I'm teaching you so she conceives in her womb him she brings forth a son and they shall call his name Jesus verse 32 he shall be great and shall be called the son of the highest and the Lord God shall give them to him the throne of his father David he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever and of his kingdom there shall be no win now notice how God gives her the big picture but doesn't tell her all the details doesn't tell her because Revelation is progressive God will tell you the end from the beginning okay you're going to bring forth Jesus he's going to get the throne of David he's gonna rule he's going to be the son of God but he doesn't tell her all the intricacies of the details of destiny because of God laid it all up to you at once it would so overwhelm you you you couldn't handle it so he gives you enough just so you sign up and say yes you go okay I'm in so I'm trying to help someone turn the switch off in their mind and stay in the realm of the spirit that's why the Holy Spirit and I'm speaking prophetically won't you dependent on him he wants you to pendant because your biggest battle is not the devil where's your battle guys okay so let's keep going your reign over then said Mary unto the Angels so it's just okay this is what you're going to do you're gonna shake Nations you're going to bring forth Jesus you're going to see you're going to see the world change and how many of you know God's given you a promise okay and God's given us a promise then send Mary to the angel how shall this be sing I know not a man now I don't personally believe a lot of preachers really get on her right here like all she didn't have faith I don't believe that pastor Michael I think she was asking for the strategy she was saying okay show me how to do this because I'm not going to violate a principle because sometimes when God begins to rebuild destiny we get in the way he'll tell you the big picture and then we try to go make it happen so if destiny is I'm going to bring forth a child the only way I know to do that is go get with a man but if I go get with a man I'm violating a principle well in this situation maybe okay so she's saying how's this going to be because the only way I know to do this thing is to go be with Joseph to go consummate to go get pregnant and to bring forth the son and so she's asking him strategy show me how to do this and the angel said now the angel gives the strategy the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee so here's how this is going to happen I believe very much that we have vision and strategy but here's the bottom line the only way we're going to shake this city the only way that your dream is going to come to pass is you've got to be overshadowed by the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit's going to come all the marketing all the network will do everything I we're going to hit it hard in 2012 but everything we do is going to be secondary to the overshadowing the Holy Spirit what's going to pull people in is God's presence God's presence God would you Emmanuel and so the Holy Spirit's going to were shadow and come on Punk thee and the power of the high show overshadow thee therefore also this holy thing which shall be born of these shall be called the Son of God now I can take time and teach right there because you carry a holy thing and it has a name in it for her it was Jesus but your purpose that you carry in the womb of the Spirit is a holy thing and it's called something it might be called without laws for you it might be called kingdom couples whatever it is that you carry you carry something in your spiritual womb that's holy by God verse 36 and behold now watch the very first thing he says to her he's about to say okay here's the plan here's the strategy now he about to show her here's your partnership because if you hook up with the wrong person you will kill the plan of God you'll kill it and behold what he says my cousin Elizabeth she has also conceived a son in her old age and this is a six month with her who was called barren she's called barren so sometimes people will tell you what you are when you're not that they called her impotent they called her and effective verse 37 say it rule out for with God nothing shall be impossible now I need you to get an attitude with the person next to you and just square your shoulders back and say excuse me I don't think you read that scripture right because it says for with God nothing shall be impossible now call the person's name out just like you're you you can announce square your shoulders back come on do what you need to do and just say kill call their name out call their name out Rosita call them out so with God nothing shall be impossible look at somebody behind you that doesn't have it yet and just say look at them look at them and call them out I mean if you have to grab them if they won't hit you I mean just shake them a little bit so God wants to speak to you so for with God nothing shall be impossible you need to tie back to somebody until they get it in their spirit because the enemy is telling you it won't happen circumstances saying it's impossible situations are saying it can't be but you look at somebody because I'm telling you by the Spirit of God we're getting ready you set those ceiling has been shattered I feel it by the spirit there's an elevation coming there's promotion that is here that's going to pull people with people up watch what God's going to do he's about to maneuver people in positions you're about to see elevation you're about to see promotion even within this ministry the things that are going to happen within this city within your life the things that God's raising up for with God nothing shall be impossible look at somebody so nothing shall be impossible and what does she say guys what does she say watch this and Mary said Behold by him and the Lord be it unto me according to the word and the angel departed so she said that she said I'm ready I'm ready come on bring it on I want you to lift your hands up to the Holy Spirit just tell him I'm ready bring it on I'm ready for what you had in 2012 I'm ready to be a world changer I'm ready for my family to be soaked I'm ready for my business to be both I'm ready to be the head and not the tail I'm ready to walk up the promise about I'm ready for nations to be shaken I'm ready to move in an apostolic anointing I'm ready for multiplication I'm ready for many churches and many many people and many nations and every tribe and tongue to gather and be a part of what God has called us to do on prophecy I'm ready for the harvest to come in I'm ready for doors to be open that have been shut I'm ready for my family to be restored I'm ready for my body to be healed I'm ready for every promise that God has for me I'm ready I'm ready I'm in position I'm ready and there's about to be immediate occupancy in my life now slap somebody a high five say I'm not going to miss this moment say I'm ready for what God has to me so you can be seated I'm going to teach you a couple principles real quick it's imperative as we know to be spiritually connected you need to get sunday's teaching in sunday's tape and we've already talked about the enforcement of a covenant connection versus a contract that a covenant connection is one that is where two people are fastened together and it's enforced by the Spirit of God so it is it's deeper than just a legal binding contract it's deeper than what attorneys or accountants or anyone else does because this is enforced by the Spirit of God and we know that Jehovah is a covenant-keeping god thank God that he keeps his covenant because we mess up we do the covenant wasn't made between us because we would have failed the covenant was made between God and Jesus Christ we are the recipients the heirs of the in it so thank God for that that we have divine it because of divine exchange we have an inheritance something that glistens something that can be seen something that we can take possession of he's a covenant making and covenant keeping God who will bring spiritual union with others to fulfill the purpose of God so all covenant takes spiritual union it takes it's not just one person can't make covenant it's an agreement it's a divine exchange literally so you'll never succeed alone and I want that mentality to get in you because so often because of hurts in our past or people that have done us wrong we become guarded we put walls up we think but the reality is for us to move and what God has for us we need to each other we need people functioning in our life Ezekiel chapter 13 verse 13 through 16 it says so will I break down the wall that you have dabbled with untempered mortar and bring it down to the ground so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered and it shall fall and you shall be consumed in the midst thereof and you shall know that i am the lord from Ezekiel's warning concerning false prophets are two key principles you learn right here I want you to write them down number one to build with tempered mortar is to build the foundation of a church a ministry or life with meaningful relationships remember the currency of the kingdom is relationship so if we're going to build an effective church the church is only as effective as the relationships what is fastened together if we are disconnected we can have a mini amaya type of revival move we can't build in 52 days so we have to make a conscious effort to be connected which means the greatest way to do that is start praying together start praying together when you start praying personality goes outside of the door because you catch the heart of the person you catch the spirit of the person when you anybody that you have a problem let's start praying over them seriously because God will reveal things and you'll take on you'll understand you'll have an understanding by the Spirit of God the second thing is to build with untempered mortar is to build a foundation without meaningful relationships now everything's going to rest on the foundation if the foundation is not strong the Bible says if the foundation be destroyed what shall the righteous do according to Psalm chapter 11 so everything is built upon a foundation so Christ is the rock he's the he's the firm foundation he's the head of this ministry but then he builds his ministry on the fivefold gifting right and then out of that fivefold gifting which is the Apostle the teacher the Prophet the pastor the evangelists out of that the Saints mature and they come into connection with each other where we expand that we reach out and we begin to affect and change the world we're agents on assignment we're image bearers for Christ so mortar symbolizes relationships because of bonds and holds building together or building materials together so mortar will represent them be symbolic of relationships because without relationships we don't bond together and when the enemy comes to strike then he's going to be able to divide because Jesus says you're either with me or you're against me you're forming there was no middle ground you're either in or you're out he said there's no middle ground there's no gray black or white he said so if you're with me then we might have personality differences but when the enemy comes he can't scatter because scatter brings sickness but gathering brings healing that's why if somebody starts talking about another church member shut them down right away nobody should be able to talk about your brother or your sister come on nobody should be able to talk about your pastor because this is your family this is family this is that's fighting kind of words sincerely because if you allow that you're allowing divisions and now I'm gonna camp out for a minute for here because there are things that we think are just so such horrific sins before the Lord I mean the church will just crucify you for you know drugging and sleeping around and smoking and chewing and hanging with those who do and all that come on act like y'all y'all don't ever know what I'm talking about but God says there's six things I hate and one's an abomination to me and that is those that cause division among the Brethren those that cause strife it's it's things that do divide the kingdom of God it's things that divide it so we've got to get the perspective of heaven and I'm not saying acceptable behavior because those things have restitution and consequences in your life God wants us to live pure and holy and righteous before him but I'm telling you the things that we don't pay attention to or sometimes the way to your matters in the eyes of God so we think it's okay to gossip no it's not because you bring a fence to your brother so you've got to have we've got to have unity where there's unity what begins to flow the oil that's what we want we want oil to flow in this house where does oil flow starts at the head where the Brethren are in what Unity Psalm chapter 133 so tempered mortar is combined is stirred and mixed properly without excluding any ingredient so that means that I could take forever and teach right there but when water is tempered it's combined there's a confluence of lives that get together and they begin to combine it means that you sitting in the back needs you sitting in the front we all need each other and God has put you here because God chooses your address I could not succeed in the call of God which all my life is very apostolic prophetic without pastor Michael without pastor Frank without power Scott without Pastor Mike without all the people but especially without some of the headship that God has put in place here couldn't do it so it tempers together now when something's being stirred together individual ingredients any of y'all do any baking come on ever make a cake individual ingredients sometimes baking soda doesn't taste too good alone some things taste real good but some things are bitter not everything but and it's stirring it can you imagine being the ingredient it's not easy being stirred but it's not going to be until gets stirred and gets put in fire that you come out with something that tastes good and something that is that is a delicacy so you've got to understand the process of what we go through to be the Church of Jesus Christ good teaching pastor Paula this is the forming of spiritual covenant it means you know everyone let me bring it down to your relationship I'm just in love no you're in lust you and lust because when you when you really get in that situation there's going to be some mixing together and some stirring y'all gonna get on each other's nerves why are you acting like that's never going thats not going to happen of course it is their breath stinks just like yours and then nobody can get to you like the person that knows you the best but the forming of spiritual covenant relationships is some stirring mixing properly without excluding any ingredient so a covenant as we know deals with transactions between God and man and man and his fellow man a mutual agreement between two parties different than the contract because it's enforced by the spirit so we can't fulfill the plan of God without meaningful covenant relationships and I got to hurry through this don't I so here's what's critical we know there are four types of people those that add those that subtract those that divide and those that multiply and first samuel we've already looked at it that it says man looks on the outside when God was saying don't look at his height or a statue look at what's on the inside but God sees what's on the inside which means you got to stop looking just on the exterior and you've got to get quiet for a minute and really audit two relationships you've got to audit because sometimes what looks right is wrong for you so you've got to do an audit on it an auditing means balance the withdrawals against the deposits does this person bring me closer to God does this person bring me more into my destiny does this person bring me into the the plan that God has for me so the people we know that science has taught us that that even the proximity of people you're close to that there are neurotransmitters neuroscientists has made it very clear that were actually wired to relate to each other that you transmit through neuro science and through your neural bridges to each other that you take on that's why you become a product of what you're around so God told us that if you walk with wise people you become wise right but he said if you walk with fools your life falls to pieces you become a fool Matthew chapter 18 verse 9 if any two of you shall agree so the key is I've got to find another me if any two of you agree is touching anything they ask it shall be done to them so when I find another me then we can see some mountains being moved I've got to find someone that has the gift of faith someone that has belief like I do not in personality but in spirit that's why we've got to connect spirit to spirit so we we already know according to the word that just like your friends have the power and the ability the people who influence you to determine what your future is going in fact if I looked at who you were hanging around I'll tell you what you're going to be in five years I can map it out just strategically map it out and not we've are determined it's okay to minister to everyone but you fellowship with very few mark chapter verse mark chapter 8 verse 22 says they bring a blind man into it and besought him to touch him now watch the power of his friends they bring him to him your friend should be bringing you to Jesus there's some people in your life that are fatal to your faith they're fatal to it and even out of familiarity so the in the word touch means to attach they brought him to Jesus and got him attached ask yourself or the people in my life attaching me to God into my purpose are the people my life attaching me this good teaching for you tonight are the people in my life attaching me to God and my purpose because of the associations I have show me my value system some people in your life just let you get away with anything are they challenging you or are they able to speak into your life so we understand that Mary was successful because she connects with Elizabeth and I want to bring it down to this and there are three things I'm gonna give you quickly can I take maybe 10 more minutes just ten and you'll see you'll still be out early it says first off she stirs up the big when she goes down there and I'm going to take just a minute about the salutation the second thing that you always know about your Elizabeth is not only do they stir up the gift of God on the inside of you but they celebrate it they celebrate it so she was happy about it she could celebrate what she had the third thing is she was calm trouble with her gifting because she had her own so she understood I don't mind you having Jesus because I have John so your Jesus cannot do what he needs to do if my John doesn't come forth and prepare the way so they're not intimidated by you they're not trying to put they don't have that crap syndrome where they're trying to pull you back down if people and people sometimes especially in the church world are very passive-aggressive and you know passive aggressive means like they'll say it in a way that is just they're really it doesn't settle right with you they're really like some people say oh you deserve that what they're really saying is I wish you didn't have that and I did they're very passive again you've got to read through all that nonsense see God's going to give you discernment amen so we find in Luke chapter 139 she's hurried it says in verse 39 Mary got ready and she hurried she had to tell someone who believed she had to hook up so she she was she was ready and this is so critically important prophetically it is crucial right now that you don't just sit back in isolation but you make your covenant connection in this church very critical because I'm telling you what 2012 sin a-hole then she had to get away from those who could not believe what she would be carrying so she had to hook up with a person who could believe and get away with those who could not believe I'm telling you disconnect from the wrong associations disconnect ask in the moment you do you most people won't do it just because of fear of I don't want to be alone or you know what it cetera but the moment you make that disconnection the right connections are going to come into your life they're waiting their own standby the moment you have the courage to shut one door every door that you need open there's angelic host speaking to the hearts of men and women right now and everything you need God has provision for you everything you need everything you need I said everything you need so you'll never be all that God called you to be until you get away from those who hold you back it's it's just like Abraham it's a process Abraham kept lot in his life because lot was his nephew and he felt a certain sense of responsibility for him because of the death of his brother so he had this some enabling spirit and because lot felt entitled but lot was a leech because Abraham was willing to sacrifice to get where God was taking him but lot just wanted it out of convenience so lot wanted Abraham to do the sacrificing but he wanted the results of the rewards the devil is a liar you know some the reality is there's some people in your life they want you to do all the praying you need to turn around tell them I'm not praying for you anymore I'm praying for myself now if you want to play you come meet me at 6 o'clock and I won't teach you how to pray and we'll pray together but I'm not going to do if they're a baby Christian it's different but if they've got you know a beard and a mustache and they're still sucking on a breath something's wrong if they still if they still taking a bottle come on if there's something wrong it's not it shouldn't be like that they should be a man by now a woman by now they've got to grow up look at your neighbors a pastor's talking to the person behind you so connection is two things that are fastened together so why Elizabeth how do you know who to connect with how do you know who to connect with Mary had something to offer her Mary had something to offer it says that she saluted the Greek means to enfold into the arms are to embrace so Mary came to confirm to Elizabeth with an embrace no one else believes in you because remember they called Elizabeth they called Elizabeth barren they called it and sometimes we take on the nature of what other people say about us so when Mary gets there there's going to be in a mutual exchange she's gonna say I believe in you you're not I believe in you and you believe in me and now let's bring this to practical it's easy to believe in someone that has proven success it's not really difficult to go man we believe that pastor Paulo can do it it's just not it's that doesn't take a lot a lot of faith it doesn't but do we believe that Jojo sitting back there can do it I do because one day I was Jojo sitting back there okay you've got to believe in so it's easy to somebody that you go okay they've done that they've been there they've been successful but what but Mary and Elizabeth are in this virgin territory so to speak this never experienced place and they and they embrace each other with a faith that says gotcha you can do this we can do this you need people who embrace what you are caring they embrace what you are caring what good teaching if you don't embrace what I carry then we can't be connected because this is holy it's called something remember you carry a purpose in you and it has a specific name so you're not assigned to those we know that tolerates you but to those that celebrate you and it's not just a pat on the back I believe in your gifting it wasn't that like hey but it was embrace I will embrace you and hold up what you carry so pastor Michael has served me for over a year and he came in and never I mean he if I never gave him a microphone if I never did anything he came here for one reason because God told him to come and stand with me to support pastor Paula that's why because his plans were different left his church left his family and he embraced he wasn't just like that's pastor Paula got you on the back embraced all right embraced you need someone who will embrace look just look at somebody and hug them tight I mean just hug them grab their arm and hug them say let me show you what embrace means there you go I wish you could just squeeze them hard now here's the result of being embraced and I'm almost through it came to pass it when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary here's the result when she got embraced when Elizabeth heard the salutation Mary Kay came to pass when Elizabeth heard the salutation when she got embraced the baby in her womb leaped and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost so when you make a covenant connection and you get embraced then that which you're caring start sleeping now leaping is different than just jumping because leaf-eating is like quantum it means that everything in you is about to have an acceleration to it have you ever gone around people and it's just like you just start accelerating you get so inspired you start new you want to run you you don't even want to sleep you just want to I got to get this thing that that's what this kind of connection is it says she heard and watch what this means it says when she heard the Greek here means she gave audience that she didn't just listen but she heard so we should not hear people we're not connected to the baby leaped it's a quickening it's a leap for joy a leap is different than a jump because it takes you from one place to the next and she was filled with the Holy Ghost here's what the Greek word filled means she was fulfilled or furnished or accomplished so when they made the connection it furnished for her what she did not have for herself I'm gonna leave you off right there it furnished for her what she did not have for herself I believe God leaves us all at a place of not total completeness I believe that I think that not that everything you aren't born just with everything completed in your life like I laugh and I say this I say I hear music music moves me which I'll obviously know in a way that is that is just profound particularly because the prophetic gift on the inside of me and I it just will stir up and release it moves me and I joke about this I say I can hear sounds that other people could most wouldn't even pay attention to I mean I can I just have a sensitivity to here man I can create sounds but it gets right here and it don't come out dr. Fane it gets right there and it's stuck it just won't come out the way that I hear it now I know why God did that because it would be my tipping point for pride I'd be I just singing everywhere I'd be like Oh y'all come on out because I can hear the sounds I can hear the melody of heaven literally I'm not just saying that I can hear the melody of heaven but I have to surround myself with people that get connected enough to me that they can furnish it they can furnish it your covenant connection brings to you not only personally but also purposefully fulfillment furnish Minh and accomplishment you will not accomplish you will not be fully furnished and you won't be fulfilled until you make your covenant connections you get anything out of the word tonight don't get anything out of the word well five people were excited that I taught pastor Michael now I need to pray over you how many of you are lacking that kind of person in your life or people in your life that you would say pastor pala I need some some that that I need to be furnished there's got to be the right people in my life okay let's all stand up we're gonna pray we're going to take our time because I believe they're there and it's the law of recognition that everything you need is in your life it's a matter of being able to discern it matter to be able to see it and sometimes we look right over the gifting of God there's there's people around and I'm going to pray such sensitivity can I pray some dangerous prayers over you that that all the wrong people every ungodly soul tie they exit your life they exit your life they exit your life so that those are called to furnish what you're lacking to fulfill and to accomplish in you what needs to happen are going to be sent to you recently you know even I was I asked the Lord about every person I meet I'm sensitive if I'm in a a mall or grocery store in church I don't just come to church since there because I think God has divine orchestrations and setups every moment of my life so I'm always asking the Lord like these in Tennessee hi let them be real hi and when I feel frequencies connect when I feel that resonation I start asking on what what's the purpose in my life what is that because I believe there's to be some kind of importation or there to teach me something or there's something I'm to glean from them there to
