our next guest has kept us laughing for years of the stand-up comedian and panelist on shows like Chelsea Lately or the Adam Carolla Show and he's killing it and his new Netflix special coming in hot take a look my mom's mm usually an empty Cool Whip container one time you put it in an empty Neapolitan ice cream container at the red-handle she put my homework and my lunch you look like a briefcase my lunch and a cooler it's so embarrassing and then she goes grab a sharpie so I can write your name on the lid look like someone else has a cool web container lunch box in the kitchen yes so we check out the Instagram man yeah not only you're funny yeah but you're also you you're good in the kitchen thanks yeah we got to put you to work cookies so when you're done with that there you go so tell us what do we make it man so this is chicken adobo that's my favorite food you've heard it all right so the main ingredients are easy it's like garlic onion soy sauce and just a hint of vinegar and I like to add a little brown sugar in it so what's the first step what do we do first first step is you got to kind of feel it so there's like no real directions to put this one right here the vinegar keep that to the side because you only need a hint of vinegar soy sauce dump it in there how much of this whatever you want man got the whole thing it's your big hands just a little bit right there that's all right right then we're gonna you want to mix it up did you always know you wanted to be in comedy because we've watched yes stand-up for years was that always the goal 100% I want to be a comic when I was well I was always funny but then when I saw Eddie Murphy delirious oh boy yeah laughter I think that was I was 11 I was 11 at the time well you just have been watching that oh yeah my mom had no rules I was watching it I was like I got to get a red leather outfit mom I gotta have it we need to bring your mom onto something so many questions so what's that word - now I did that I'd boom this is really good and then I yeah go ahead keep that there you go anything then while you're doing that I'm gonna add the garlic mmm you add the garlic in here add some onions you know y'all gonna have no question if you don't mind putting down the chicken we're curious before you said okay you know what I'm gonna just become a comedian period that's what I'm gonna do yeah any other type of jobs or like you know yeah I was working in a shoe store when I did The Tonight Show I was working at a shoe store I was called more sûreté we were you mad no shoe rack so I worked in the women's shoe department I didn't know how big the Tonight Show was until like every every woman that came up with because you give the right and I had to go get the left yeah so she would come up you're like oh my god you were on The Tonight Show you were still funny and I'm like thank you can I get this in eight [Laughter] [Applause] it's gonna end up like that yeah end up like this yeah you gonna do this but then when you get it to this point you put it in the oh my god I forgot basil it's like kids here all right so then you put it in here okay and then you laid out like this all right and then you take the rest of the sauce that's in this pan it'll be in here you pour it on top all right and then yeah go ahead you add the onions and you put this in the oven at about 350 to about 25 minutes oh and then it comes out like this we featured in a lot of your social yes is he kind of following your footsteps to do this he's so far I don't know what he wants to do but I know it's gonna be entertainment but the kid is so damn funny I can't get him I think it's me but I'm gonna just let him do his thing and uh it was just so funny because I cut his hair the other day and it was just he trusted me with clippers and he wanted he wanted a fade like this and it didn't end up that way so you're so funny man he's funny and I saw one thing I messed up even had a koi had a savior they could call you Joe Cole no no no no no okay so my name is jo koy and then my aunt gave me that my hot the Evelyn calls me jo koy and then everyone kept interviewing me and asking me like where'd you get that nickname I'll go out the Evelyn gave it to me but I'd have a story so I asked my Upland why do you call me jo koy and she goes I don't call you Joe clay I could eat Rama it's been like 30 years I've been using jo koy I don't call you Joker I go what do you call me she goes I call you Joe Cole what is it because into garlic our language call means my so her nickname to me is my Jo Jo Jo koy so I said I'm like other sweetest names because you're the one that keeps calling yourself Joker it's joke all my merch is misspelled world cooler they are available now make sure you go and hang out and laugh with the funny man joke Oh
