people around here know me as Mary Ellen's granddaughter I inherited this place last year from her my grandparents bought this Farm but my grandfather retired from LAPD I'm approximately 50 years ago I appreciate y'all reaching out to us and I heard y'all might have some old Vehicles y'all need going uh we got to be yeah they've been sitting here about 50 years so oh yeah this has always been home for me it's known as my my grandmother's Farm but now it's my farm and you know we're going to collect our own junk over the next 50 years yeah you can tell they've been sitting there a little while ain't they yeah they made the trip from California a little over 50 years ago and got put up on blocks to save the tires oh yeah for next time we go camping yeah and never moved again kind of resembles an old uh not real familiar with Fords but we mess around with a lot of these old step bands it kind of looks like an old bayonet to me your guess is as good as mine it was just known as the camper oh yeah it's been here forever we used it as a playhouse um so there's many tea parties in there my uncle lived in it for a short time when they needed a spare room we spent a lot of time running away from it as children because there was always a ton of wasp and yellow jackets out here and every time we went to get into it then there was you know always something that had to be chased out and cleaned out before we could play in it mind if I open the door go ahead make yourself at home Pretty stinking cool though I think that it feels like the 70s are trapped in here yeah retrofitted by my grandfather [Music] you say it was running when they parked it out here yep they drove it to California wow this was their go-to camping Excursion and Adventure vehicle it was running when it was parked it was put up on blocks to save the wheels no idea about the complete origination of it or the year but I do know that it made many trips up to Big Bear Lake and into the mountains of California and they were Ford people there are several Fords to be located out here on the farm we have a Ranchero we have part Rancheros I do believe there's a Mustang somewhere in the barn and I guess this old Ranchero there yeah I don't remember the year model on it um it too was parked running when it was parked everything that goes in it is in the back of it [Music] foreign just in the wrong spot it's just not where it belongs yeah it looks like maybe they were I guess restoring it or in the process well it was completely redone and my uncle didn't like how they did it and so he was redoing the redo and oh yeah this is as far as he got that car I actually watched it running being backed right into the lot here probably about 15 years ago you don't see these little Rancheros very often kind of cool kind of car kind of trucks I think the El Camino was more popular yeah but Ford made its run at it the Ranchero belonged to my uncle he was not happy with how the people did it and so he actually tore it down again and was planning on getting it back up and going because he was a backyard mechanic and and loved to dabble and stuff but as you'll find out he didn't get very far on the redo of the redo you saw you got a couple more of them just that Rancheros too or yeah they're probably more just you know bits and pieces oh yeah yeah oh nice put up in their stable huh yeah they've been put to bed for many many years these are pretty cool definitely more on the project side though I'd say but if you need a door right yeah you have plenty yeah or if a Hoover [Laughter] do you know if is there any motor or anything in there no idea sure how are you never even looked you'd have to look and see yeah and I don't look like much open now it does have one but it's there yeah yeah they're pretty cool I mean you don't see a whole lot of them but they're not near as as sporty as you know some muscle cars and everything they're not as I guess as sexy and sporty as the sports cars right or just as cool as a pickup truck but it's the best of both worlds yeah yep hey the mullet made a comeback if it did I think a Ranchero might be able to yeah they are the mullet of the vehicles yep yeah if y'all don't mind take a little bit off this and we can kind of check it out and so getting out here I have to say I'm pretty excited to see what we've seen so far I had really no idea of what to expect or exactly what they were going to have out here on the property now is the point where we just kind of need to lay eyes on everything a little bit closer just to kind of determine what we have to work with and what kind of offer we want to make on them I mean I would be interested y'all talked about possibly you know getting it cleaned up to you know try to get some store I mean I'd be kind of interested if we could buy them maybe buying buying them all together and that may be how y'all were wanting to get rid of them or absolutely an all-in-one take them yes ma'am give them a get home I love vintage stuff and I like knowing it's going to a good home right I'm not out here trying to to make a ton of money yes ma'am I don't know name a price let's make an offer make me an offer oh very easy to please yes ma'am would you do 800 bucks on them or is that too low or sold work so that was easy take them put them on the road all righty well if that works for y'all I'll go grab some cash real quick and we'll try to get them out of y'all as well all right thank y'all thanks it's pretty obvious that this old van has just been sitting out here forever so first things first we just want to get all the stuff moved that's been piled around it over the years out of the way where we can even see what it's going to take to get this thing jacked up and moved up out of the shed still sitting on All These Bricks here so I thought they're just stacked up underneath there [Music] you might want to watch out for wild animals there's all kinds of Critters out here thank you [Music] so brake shoes or something I don't know if they would have went to this thing or not setting up on the bumper they can go to it now all right [Music] I guess we're probably at the point of grabbing a Jack and trying to see if we can set it down I think I may try to do the front first but it's still it's sitting on all these blocks here I thought they were just kind of stuffed up underneath here but they got them underneath the axle and the front bumper here so I'll grab that Jack and see if we can't just get it to jack up a little bit and start piling them out he had a you got a plate put your jack on yeah now we may need it there was something I found that's pretty solid over there we might be able to use we've got the well we got blocks and uh we got some big pieces of wood right yeah some of those two by sixes might work just kind of put them side by side too even I'll grab that Jack see what it looks like now let me get your fingers I had to lower it down yeah it's accidentally coming up on me we may have to have another another block yeah for the length thank you sir knock you out right there uh no forward back back where I was yeah trying out look good uh go back just a hair more okay coming off those ones but tonight whipped in the truck yet is it it's off on this side but I think that other scrubber shot's still on there a little bit that's starting to come had a pretty good ways up there didn't it and probably did it with an old bumper Jack the bad news is somebody's got to remove all these again we've got a lot of it's blocked yeah foreign good thing about them being up there though I mean there's a likelihood these tires well that one looks a little flat yeah it's off the B hule that one's okay do we want to do we want to shoot this one with some air so it'll try to because once I put weight on it it's a lot harder to be a lot easier to have it go on the trailer with at least as many aired up tires as we can get right and also if you set it down it could break the bead on the back side yeah be impossible to get it to go up see if they got a any kind of air or anything we can shoot to it real quick I think we're going to try to shoot some air to that front tire you've got an air truck handy so yeah I've got one in the truck where's that old thing there I must say oh is that stinking Fastback yeah seriously yeah is it for sale [Music] a California cousin has laid claim to it um as a car guy but I gave him a deadline and if he doesn't meet the deadline you you're my next phone call oh yeah see if you wanted to get into the Ford business I'm so glad you didn't show me this first this is cool it's a fast fact too right yeah I thought it looked like the way the tarp was lined out there it used to be red I know that no motor in it or anything um I think the motor's behind it we're over here oh yeah supposedly everything is here man this is cool you don't find this you don't say Rancheros but you don't find no fastbacks in a barn covered in bicycles yeah you would you like to start in on a bicycle business there's a tandem one it's going to be hard to distract me from this thing with anything but another Mustang at this point we had a yeah so it's possible it could something in the future maybe or if I said I want stuff out of my way right and so he's been telling me for a year he's coming to get it he hasn't shown up yet man so I gave him till June 1st so it was a it was a v8 car too 289. that really is the Box hurt there then I mean this is was my uncle's shop and this was what this was supposed to be made for was to get this car up and running this car has never been worked on as far as I know yeah so I would be tickled to death to make you an offer on this thing if you know if that deal falls through or whatever this has kind of been one of my dream cars as a kid I'd love to and and finding it like this oh my gosh this makes it so much better I wasn't holding out I just it's not mine to sell it just yet right oh I completely understand but uh it twos on blocks no I'm always looking so and I was like that looks like a car that's a Mustang it is a car that's cool all right yeah please please please keep me in mind on this if if that thing falls through well of course I'll be over here before I get off the phone with you I love it I'd love for it to have another you know a good home and on the road yes ma'am so all righty I guess I'll get back to airing that tire go back to the van app yeah um get it nice I'm gonna have to have somebody pull the trigger while I try to get it to help seat itself there's a stinking 60s Mustang Fastback in that bar nowhere seriously what kind of shape it looks pretty good the motor's out of it but it's a v8 car got a 289 badge on it so she said they couldn't sell it right now but I thought her please keep us in mind yeah been searching for that car you have to go look at it it's like covered in tarps and dust and bicycles everywhere I'm gonna let you do this here because you may have to hold that right there also our tires so stiff huh yep huh it may hold itself if you can kind of put a tote on that yep three o'clock when they should just go right back on you think yeah well we'll just try it without it I hate it but maybe stiff enough but yeah I got a good sidewall to it and if it was not a bad tire anyways we'd go have winches on there so I'll go ahead and let it down worth the shot though already it led up to finally one of the coolest cars ever that's right I guess I'm gonna go down with it all right let me see where I can watch oh it sounds heavy you ready I don't know how quick this Jack's right yeah yeah I'm good good foreign so now we can't get the Jack out it drops so low um there we go well I think she's gonna clear I think so yeah other than that roof rack I don't know how there's a whale up on top there too but well there's a wheel there's a way yeah [Applause] [Music] really need to be up underneath the spring if we can okay let's lower it down trying to think if we get them off the back frame if it would just pull off those because they're a lot smaller bricks right actually there I bet it will because yeah they'll then they don't have near the space that they're sitting on right and that other side's already up enough I can get them off really yep pretty cool little foreign storage compartment yeah yeah pretty Neato tail lights I know yeah oh there's a spare wheel and tire D huh [Music] all right I think we're they got all of them it's got all of them except the ones buried in the ground I'm hoping we don't have to have those out I'll let it down Okay um so the brakes on the axle on your side as they're just a few small ones kind of like this side yep I think we can just pull it forward so it'll come right off though the little red bricks so yeah it shouldn't take much I'm letting it down okay oh yeah didn't move much well I think that's got it off everything I say just Pull It Forward I don't know if we want to you know use the winch or yeah just needs to kind of go straight out I guess I could possibly just gonna be hard for me to get my trailer right where we need it to right I could use my truck it needs to be where somebody can watch it yeah yeah he mentioned that tractor it may be just better just to have that hook to it with the tractor and pull it right out and once we get it out we can line up with the trailer Wrench It Right on so it sounds good to me I think I'll go pretty quick yeah I'll go holler at him okay thank you side over here there's a pole thank you I can't see how close yeah you're good okay [Music] hanging on that wheel up top but it'll just fall off once we get so far it's really close on that roof she's out can you turn to the left dad yeah it's got power steering [Applause] I think it works well our first attempt with this old van net I would say went pretty well we got her off the blocks I was able to use his tractor to get her pulled out right now we're just going to go ahead and back up to her we can get more of a straight shot winch her on the trailer head back to Pagoda and come back for the rest foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign foreign [Music] will be near as tricky on getting her loaded up though I don't think so either just move some stuff and get after it yeah I'm pretty happy with all this stuff I think this one right here was definitely the the gold the gold winner of all the projects but yep I guess we'll get all this stuff uh cleaned up off of it get it set to the side I don't know if it's oh yeah it's sitting on a jack stand there and there this front end looked like it was up just a little bit but about to run out of daylight so I figured just get all this stuff moved off as quick as possible and I might be able to hook the snatch block up to the back of the trailer and just kind of winch it out but the only issue we may have is I don't think it had a yeah there's no steering wheel so we may have to find something to get on that column or kind of you know kick them back and forth alrighty let's go ahead and just start getting all this stuff set off though all right kind of curious what she's going to look like get all this Moss off of it pretty good shape though I mean sheet metal wise yeah assuming those probably go with the car foreign [Applause] I think that's got the most of it looks like everything else probably pretty much goes with the core kind of cool the seats there I don't know what kind of shape it's going to be there's peace to the steering wheel yeah yeah I think that's gonna be everything another cone uh we want to grab that Jack and go ahead and get it off this jack stand all right pretty solid right here though we don't have to worry about it what about that just in case just get a fan good frame rail or something yeah we can go right here should work we're good yeah yeah floor pans are are present I don't know what kind of shape they're in but they are there all right yeah it's been there a while coming down it looks a little bit better setting you sit in the way it's supposed to be sitting I think we can probably just while it's rolling it'll twist a lot easier luckily it's not old enough to have the Locking column all the tires all the tires are good holding there okay try to move those I guess I'll make sure it ain't in gear it's a lot of old dust and stuff yeah I don't know I guess what would the linkage have been oh yeah should have been right there on the side of the like it's like I don't know oh I guess it would have been right now it may not even be hooked up uh yeah there's some linkage there just held up by some wires we'll just try it and see if it you know if it's turning it over hard to tell that Motors well it turns over a little bit yeah I think let's just hook hook the snatch block to the back of the trailer and then we can kind of just as we pull it maybe twist the tires just a little bit and once we get it out here where I can get up straight with it should we try it on [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right we act like it's in gears are good I wasn't really looking uh yeah it's in gear or something just dragging the back end over here I'll just keep going it's not putting it in too bad of a buy we're gonna have to start turning it as sharp as we can kind of [Music] um honestly I could probably just pull start pulling forward and then it would line itself up with it and just try that [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] yeah it definitely looks like it's probably still in gear yeah once that brakes locked up on it that's what I thought too could possibly be that break I think she should go on there now kind of take it slow and let us get it lined up just right but it should work foreign just locked up apparently because it ain't turning over so it's true she looks pretty good on the trailer downstairs she does that cool my screen natural paint job [Applause] well I guess we'll throw some straps on it and like I said we're about to lose daylight yep let's get some straps on it and head back to the house [Music] so guys we hope that you like
