Buyer Beware When You Purchase A Vehicle From A Private Party - 01/23/2014

so Sunday evening I actually jumped into the work truck to go grab a quick bite to eat and on my way out of the neighborhood decided to check in address we've been keeping an eye on now for the last couple days as the debtors mom's house we've repossessed this Honda silver Honda three other times finance company says this is going to be the fourth and last time here at the Imams house so every time I go out I just do a little drive-by see if it showed up yet or not it's only a few blocks over from where I live exact same neighborhood my homestead but you potentially call her neighbor someone that looks close enough yeah that camera can't see at it road debris you know I'll be pulling up and spot in the vehicle you have to worry about repossessing it little dirty back lens looks like that's it right there on the street gets curb here after come out of an angle get these cars that are right up against the curb like this come out a little bit of angle catch the edge of the tire that's number four move for just a little bit get it strapped down well that we've ever once gotten a key on this vehicle every time we picked it up it's just been kind of a hook and go finance company has indicated this is the last time I get me dealing with them on this one so I take the extra effort to try to get a key from these guys at the can hi okay we're picking up this vehicle for his finance company do you know if there's a key here for the vehicle for kids yeah okay we're awesome yeah you know when he might be home flavor I don't actually okay is this where he lives yeah okay I just let him know that I was picked up for his finance company and he can contact them tomorrow all right thanks well how I stayed persistent on an account like that keep checking it and checking it we know that he's got a girlfriend that he stays with frequently it's a lot of nights to come by you it's not here combined in a Sunday night and he's back home doing laundry they say he lives there but information we have is that he spends most of his time staying the night at the girlfriends so that our fourth and final snag on this thing work all right so skip locator just send us over a new address on that maroon Escalade we've been looking for we just drove by the address did a day run by it and the vehicles backed in the driveway what we understand this guy's got a pretty extensive criminal history duis and drugs and stuff is not the legal owner of the vehicle he actually bought it off of the debtor and is now in possession of it backed in which means he's probably expecting this he knows he doesn't have a title with it to back up and hook it from the front and then door dollies on it hey done what's going on the guy that owns his vehicle sold it to you without a title and the company that has the title asked us to come repossess it he the guy that sold it she didn't have the right to sell it to you can I get all my [ __ ] out of it of course button grab what you need what in the hill so what do I do to get it back um well you can't get it back unless the finance company where you could pay off the loan to the finance company but I would contact the guy that sold it to you and I don't know I'm assuming you probably gave him money $8,000 I would probably go after that guy cuz he's the ones got your money cuz the finances I don't know if you knew or not but this has a loan on it from a finance company's got a lien from South Salt Lake and so and he's the one that told us that he'd sold it to you it took a little bit of haggling with him to finally get him to tell us the truth he told us he was in a body shop and then folks it was stolen and then finally he came clean and said okay I sold it and so they're actually going after him for fraud charges because what he did was fraud I know not what you want to hear right but you can definitely grab your stuff out of there ridiculous man we see this a couple times a year and you're the guy that's left in a really shitty position that's for sure you're Matt right yeah I'm Matt - I'm serious I'm gonna [ __ ] you know what he lives yep out there on the west side yeah with his dad yep you know be careful they got cameras all over that place I wish I could be there this guy's ran me around the block for months months no way I can't like pay you guys we don't collect money I mean I could give you the name of the finance company but you're not you talk to it like you talk to him yourself sure the finance company sure is steal from them you know what I mean let's get on the phone with him and see what you can guys can work out then um you got a number in karma sure you bet you that be OP I'll pay cash whatever I gotta do to keep it sure this is [ __ ] they put me in a bad fine I was supposed to get the title I mean I'll even show you all my Texas no I believe you said him about give me the title and let me know the bank so I talked to them and I said if there is a problem with you guys owing money tell me about it you know so I can talk to them and pay them only I could think is that you might find out I don't know don't quote me on this but you might find out he has like a 15 or $20,000 debt with them I don't know what it is but I can pay my part for this with that out of the way yes that's what I'm saying no I hear you let me uh this is [ __ ] me get your number yeah this guy's lied to a number of people hey whatever I gotta do to keep this damn thing I'll even give you money right now we don't collect money but if you can work something out with them yeah like I hear you cuz this is [ __ ] they put me in a bad spot on this one I was going to get the damn thing register today is it run yeah okay I saw it back then with the flat tire so I didn't know I mean I'll get this thing registered today and pay that money even seven seven thousand dollars already almost eight for this hey I'm out here at since I've got your Escalade hooked he's asking what amount of money it would take for him to be able to buy this thing from you guys cuz he says he's already paid $8,000 and he's he wants and wants to find out what you guys need to relinquish the title on this thing I can pay payments so it's just through me well if there's gonna be payments you'd have to go in there and actually felt like a loan application and stuff like that with that right now I'll go down there okay let's get my mom here okay do you mean if you ever looked at you know what the balance was on the principle or an interest all that crap Oh sure sure okay okay do you want me to give him your guys's office number so you can call and see if you guys can negotiate that out before but what do you want to do okay whatever when will she be in there oh she's in court okay all right call me back so the manager that doesn't negotiating is in court but he's going to try to call her on her cell phone he said it's about 5500 where did you uh where'd you run to him from brother okay okay police you know who they are no know how to get to contact with soap certified this Matt okay so do you want me to give him you want me to give him your office number so you can call and talk to you cuz he says he's very interested in uh working something out with you guys it's backed into something I'm putting dollies on it stuff I just didn't know if there was some way he was gonna be able to come up with the money over the phone give you a credit card to pay it and pulls up like that and I told him that that's the only way he was going to get dropped is if the loans paid for so okay yep yep sure okay well I'll give them you guys's contact information and address and then when she gets out of quarter you can come down there and see what you guys can work out and if you guys are able to oh yeah okay I talked a little bit don't give up hope yet just contact them and they'll have it there at their office and so in South Jordan and they said definitely come in and talk with them and they'll see what they can do - I'll give you I'll give you all that before I leave y'all give you the manager's name and number I guarantee you the fraud investigators gonna want to copy of that cuz devil they're gonna get fraud oh excuse me yeah I almost caught it once come around on my cellphone not paying attention all right yeah yeah I saw one of those slam down one time of the old back windows shattered $500 window I was getting ready to put in my system you have four foot two tens and two twelves in there yeah well I wasn't putting all that okay holy moly you're the audio enthusiast aren't you and mess up that pole little duck dust cover as long as didn't punch a hole in our dust covers can take a beating it's getting a hole in it that ruins oh that's a seriously nice tin there it's got a deep magnet on it yeah those things are freaking $500 subwoofers you have the key so I can put it neutral I need to roll back about two inches oh yeah okay I just got to roll back onto this bar here Oh okay that's gonna move just a little bit yeah hi yeah we don't want to be at this dude's house when you show up huh yeah mm-hmm yeah huh ah there's chance on top get it so I did the silver one over first ring bring this one back there you go there you go pull the dog tag down there you go doing it blind had this talking to the other day trying to take some lace stuff off there got all frustrated breaking rip the whole mirroring down I can see it coming - that's the honors - beating people that own the vehicles they know they're getting back they freaking bus [ __ ] up and break shit's like dude you're gonna cool down in about two hours and feel totally stupid yeah takes the bigger guy to stay calm till it's time to lose it oh yes I can cut even got a knife yeah go write down their name and number and address usually a lot of problems in repossessing yeah all day long I mean it's one thing when people know it's coming but in a situation like this with this guy you know thinks he bought a legitimate car and then he's you know people trip out more because they're like not expecting it but the ones are expecting it you kind of like really you're going to act like this you know you're this far behind you've got 100 phone calls plenty of warning and then they act stupid but it's a what yeah I'd say the Wurster little white math doubt chicks really I'll freakin go in the house and grab anything they find as a weapon they'll come back okay they don't care seems like the bigger the guy is the calm Murray is smaller the person is more likely they are to come at you with something it's like some kind of big guy knows he's got it so he stands Ernie talks with you and he's all okayed seems to understand it little blonde chick hasn't slept in four days she's got flying out of house a kitchen knife not even looking else that Nixon you know you got this burning sensation in your clavicle you're like what the hell so yeah it's the opposite of what people think it would be but duda i got booted in my tow truck went to the DMV and I had a car on the back and I knew I was parking in front of a booty sign but I figured the guy's gonna see what I can't park in a normal Park install five minutes inside to drop off the paper come back out boot on my front tire did you sat across the street and watched for it I don't know that I'm like really another tow truck he's like dude you parked in front of a sign I'm like I got something on hook I got no choice what am I supposed to do I can't park in the private parking lots you know I parked on public street eighty bucks he wouldn't budge oh yeah let's do it harpy even start to get a little agitated those parking enforcement closes I'll just freakin go right to it I couldn't believe at that regular car idling yeah they do they built and bring our vehicles any of tow trucks they just you know you know you gotta get dreamy hang any other dude let's name the company that's their address in South Jordan that's their phone number that's the manager's name just give her a call she already be aware of the situation I just tell her what you want to do tell her what you I mean it won't matter but let her know what you did pay dude and everything and bring any documentation you have into because that's gonna help them and then I do I got the whole thing man because trust me they'd rather not have this than have it so I've already put it in I'll pay I'll pay oh okay contact them and then hopefully you can get it back brother alright Daisy right in the center console on top of it okay dude was way pissed but way cool cuz he knew who to be mad at and it wasn't me he knows the dude that sold him a vehicle and he's gonna be going over there and giving him a visit today like I said I wouldn't want to be at that dudes house when even his friends show up no matter what that he's probably in for a decent little ass beating when after he licks his wounds he's gonna have to deal with law enforcement fraud charges just buried himself into the deeper hole with this one it's a heavy beast got it on the steel dolly rails you know we got a picked up engine side get this transported
