That was heart wrenching seeing the chairman of the Tohono O'odham Nation tear up talking about how this wall has forever damaged their home and their people really drove home the cruelty and callousness of the Trump administration (happens around 19:14 in this episode). I know the government never treats Native Americans well but this especially abhorrent. I'll have to watch the full house committee meeting soon.
Trump finding a way to waive basically all laws on building this wall in the last stretch of 2020 is just terrifying. This is him when he has to worry about reelection. Imagine a second term where he is free to disregard the law more flagrantly and violently suppress any dissident he wants and the only thing stopping him is the senate GOP who has already greenlit atrocity after atrocity of his.
The LWT researchers could have done with another week to go into this subject, because this episode missed out just how massive a piece of shit the Build The Wall guy really is.
