Curious to see how this comment section evolves, because I've seen the "WHO is a China puppet" narrative repeated a lot on Reddit. News flash to anyone who somehow wasn't aware: any international organization is going to be beholden to any powerful nation states that make it up. That's why the only countries that ever see any sort of penalties from places like the UN or the ICC are small, weak ones. You're never going to see a leader from The US, China, or Europe being dragged before the Hague.
I mean the WHO and the UN are definitely going easy on China, but how in the fuck do conservatives in America think that the answer to China's rising influence over global politics is to pull America out of every major form of global politics that even shows the slightest hint of being against the US. The United States of America are the only real challenger to China's global political domination, and despite the fact that the easiest counter to China's growth is to use soft power and diplomacy to increase the trust and influence of the United States across the globe we continue to tell every other country in the world not to trust us because our foreign policy is so unstable.
