That clip of the grandmother being told she didn't qualify for asylum was so heartbreaking...
The irony of him going on an anti-refugee rant at a Jewish convention.... Its not like in the not too recent past a large number of Jews ever sought asylum escaping from a murderous regime.... oh wait....

From Africa and middle east to Europe. From India to China or to Europe. From South America to the USA. And it will all happen in a couple of years and it scares some people. Even here on reddit you can read upvoted comments about creating fences, walls and guarding the borders. We are heading for a rise of fascism we didn't see since WWII.
Imagine a violent gang wanted to marry your 12 your old granddaughter to some fuck and threatened to burn you alive if you refuse. And then the country you ran away to sends you back to those murderous fucks, knowing that you are likely to be murdered by them and a 12 year old girl would be "married" to a maniac.
This is fucking monstrous. And that hotel scene? I don't think I have seen anything shadier than that, barring those little girls that were being moved to a hotel in the dead of the night. This was beyond depressing, this is so fucked up on so many levels.
Honest question and no I'm not a Trump fan, and yes I voted for Biden. If we let in anyone who claims threats of gang violence, isn't that just an open ticket to allow anyone from south and central America into the US? Say some girl from Chile, parents are doing fine, have jobs, daughter graduates high school, wants to simply move to the US so she flys up to the border, walks over, says she was told to be a prostitute or be killed...and she's in? Honestly, what next? Who houses her, feeds her, where does she go, etc? Has anyone seen the homeless in LA? Again, I'll risk the downvotes, I'm not saying lock the border, I'm just asking how can we as a country help people when we are currently failing our own?

I came to America 21 years ago, legally and did everything needed to legally come here. I couldn't imagine having to flee a country to save my own life, it shouldn't be that hard to get to a better life.
Immigration policy isn't all Trump's fault, but he's turned a difficult process into a near next to impossible process to get through. Using immigration as a tool to rile up your base and to amplify your racist/stereotypical beliefs is abhorrent in every way.
