well hey there idiots welcome back to observe in today's video i'm going to be analyzing the non-verbal communication of shannon flynn the business partner of the renowned forger mark hoffman [Music] now before we take a look at this case i want to go ahead and hand things over to my partner logan and we'll talk about today's sponsor which is nordvpn wow logan thank you for that amazing introduction my name is indeed logan and i am indeed talking about today's sponsor which is nordvpn now you might be asking what on earth is nordvpn i've never heard another influencer ever talk about nordvpn so i'm here to clear that up imagine that it's more or less a security wall around your information on the internet it provides internet privacy but protection is not all that it offers it also offers flexibility in your internet browsing perhaps the most useful form of this is in the field of media streaming so say you live in the us and you want to be able to watch something on netflix well by this time most of us have drained netflix pretty dry of any new consumable content but that might just be for your region if you use nordvpn and its extremely i kid you not extremely simplistic user interface you can select any location across the globe that nordvpn services and watch their media libraries as well a way that my wife and i have used this personally in this field is that we like to watch the office but here in america the office has switched to a absolutely garbage new platform and it's rather a downer so we use nordvpn on all of our different devices which it can connect up to six separate devices so we logged into nordvpn changed our ip address over to the uk and sure enough the office is available on netflix again without any horrible commercials but here's the segment where it gets to my channel if you use my link which is nordvpn.com observe you will get a huge discount on a two-year plan plus if you use my code which is also observe you will get one free month in addition to that as well again that's nordvpn observe and use the code observe for an extra additional month for free thank you so much for your support and thank you to nordvpn again for sponsoring this video wow logan that was a really good segment thank you so much for sharing with us and thank you again to nordvpn now back to the actual analysis itself here shannon flynn helped mark hoffman sell multiple forgeries over the years and if you haven't seen the recent netflix documentary which is titled murder among the mormons i highly suggest you go and watch that before coming here believe it or not if you have netflix and nordvpn regardless of where you are in the world you will be able to see this docu-series and i highly suggest you do now i have very limited material to work with on shannon flynn there's not a lot of content out there of him now there's some of him then and him now and people wanted me to take a look at a specific segment of the docu-series and today i will be doing this now something that i want to make clear is that this is going to be a rough read due to the lack of baseline material i will have to rely on more generalities than specifics that i would like to this is also across when he was younger and when he was older so we can hopefully see a little bit of context non-verbally but i think that's enough talk for now let's go ahead and dive into the actual analysis there's a certain amount of detective work through a certain amount of excitement high stakes valuable pieces i had taken an interest in lds church doctrine probably since the late teenage years i remember so something that i want to point out here one you can hear the difference in the voice between now and several years back there has been some changes in voice which believe it or not this also happens to their nonverbal communication your baseline can shift over time so if i was able to establish a baseline of shannon then that doesn't mean that it would be a reliable baseline for shannon now and vice versa so this adds a little bit of complexity to this read i will be trying to focus largely on the shannon now rather than the shannon then maybe there might be some generalities that we could see in shannon then but for the majority of this read we will be focusing on him now you can see that even while he's waiting to be able to be interviewed he has a little bit more active of a baseline with maybe some fidgeting and some tweaking of facial muscles as well this is also expected especially early on in an interview as a person is getting used to being in front of all the cameras and lights and getting ready for an interview it's very common but this is what we can see non-verbally so far also i have cut out the b-roll segments of this so that all that i am showing is what i am actually analyzing this has kept netflix off of my back in the past so we'll see if it continues to work now let's keep watching clearly the first collectible item i bought it was a third edition of a pamphlet by b.h roberts i didn't know what i was doing i paid 10 for it but i was interested okay so he's using this gesture here this is usually a trained gesture whenever a person does this or this it's so that they don't use this because this is condescending this is overpowering and also just don't use the finger gesture often it really doesn't convey well to your audience unless that's your intention these sorts of gestures are intentional so maybe he's received training on this front or coaching from people about how to present himself non-verbally but you could also see that he does have a fairly dynamic baseline as he's talking about stuff you could see him moving in his chair you could see him shifting and moving his other hand around and then it also shifts around to where he's using open body language with this hand so needless to say we're able to just get a little bit of an idea as to where mr flynn's nonverbal communication lies during his baseline state we'll see if there's any variants from that from here on out in the history and in the salt lake area it was centered mainly on bookstores and that kind of became the mormon history coffee house if you want to think of it in those terms you would go meet people hey come over here let me show you this let's see that book and it was at that time that he's doing a lot of illustrators this indicates authenticity it's easier to do illustrators for genuine recollection rather than a conceived lie something that you came up with this isn't guaranteed by the way much of what i'm going to be relying on today isn't going to be a guarantee because like i said i'm limited on his nonverbal baseline but during this time i would be encouraged to believe that he's telling authentic recollections of how people would come in and do stuff just by using his hands so animatedly so far his baseline is very active it's not a very subdued one he's a rather active non-verbal person i was introduced to mark hoffman and i was very excited to meet mark he was in the mormon document world he was a rock star i remember it specifically because it was my birthday so he's switched over to kind of holding his hands together like this and this is common in interviews as well it's a self-soothing gesture to be sure there are nerves involved here it's too hard to tell whether those nerves are related to being in an interview or being centered around mark hoffman chances are it's both and you will understand why that is as time goes on and just so you know if you haven't watched the docu-series and you plan to just don't watch this video because there will likely be spoilers for you that you will be upset about if there already hasn't been so seriously don't watch this before that if you want to be able to really appreciate the full docu-series that being said let's continue december 27th 1983 mark said come here i'm going to show you something that no one has seen he takes out of his briefcase the salamander writer that was in the box where the gold blades were what okay so he's talking about a letter that was called the salamander letter that was supposed to undermine a lot of the current mormon doctrine of the day and mark hoffman was showing it to shannon and we can see here that shannon is re-enacting his emotional state during the time with once again very large illustrators of being like whoa and he braces himself on his chair and acts like he's surprised and this is still all centered around him doing a genuine recollection of his emotional state at the time it's synchronized that's good to see and if this little rough idea of a baseline that we're establishing here can be relied on that means that any time that we see spikes be a positive or negative in his nonverbal baseline or if we see any nonverbal misalignment it could be a pretty reliable indicator for deceit is that a guarantee by all means no can't stress that enough but it is still something that we're establishing tells so that we can more accurately read him as the video goes on what wow and he says we don't have any photographs of this can you photograph it and so i was the first person to take those photographs and he was keeping it under tremendous secrecy i was one of a select group this big that was privy to the bombshells so he's still using very heavy illustrators so if there comes to be a time later on in the video where he's recollecting something and perhaps there's no illustrators that could be seen as a negative spike in his nonverbal bass line where we would normally see illustrators and it could be an indicator of deceit it is something that we've made note of now so we can continue forward more confidently throughout the rest of the read but that was his world and there was a reason for it because everybody did that to a certain extent they would never reveal where they were getting their best materials so that world it was not that odd to keep secrets well the mclown collection there was a letter in there of potentially a devastating nature the letter that was written by joseph smith's wife which detailed that it was in fact joseph's older brother who first met moroni lifted the stone saw the gold plates and after the salamander letter had significant impact for the church the mcclellan collection was potentially devastating devastating okay so he's using the classic push away defensive gesture which would be in relation to it being devastating nobody's like it's devastating nobody does that they're not welcoming in the devastating or thought of devastation or anything along those lines so it's always going to be a push away so that is also just showing more synchronized body language also i feel like i should go ahead and let you know this video isn't at all related to the mormon religion this video just isn't going to focus on that so hopefully that's not why you're here i'm assuming you're not but just wanted to go ahead and give you that psa steve christensen had sort of been put in charge from someone in the lds church and he was going to go with mark and get the mcclellan collection you know secrets just can't be kept every well there's an old story if the only way to keep a secret between two people is to kill one of them it's kind of true so that was a mess right that verbal recollection of that saying was kind of a mess and it's interesting that it's a mess and so far he's been very eloquent very easy with words very easy with gestures everything's been quite synchronized and quite composed and then he gets to this little part where he's like oh well the only way to if there's a secret to come to there's two well then i mean you have to kill one of them it's kind of true and that's how he wraps it up and it's like we know what you were saying but not because of how you presented it and the reason that i bring this to light is because the question is why why is this causing him some verbal stammering and stuttering well there's a few reasons for it to be fair one he could be intensifying emotion around this just because it's the concept of the docu-series could be a little bit more emotionally charged for him which makes it a little bit harder to psychologically process especially when you're trying to talk to a camera ergo stuttering and stumbling or it could be an indicator of deceit where he knows that he's starting to tread into areas that he could be lying and so he's having more difficulty presenting authentically to the camera which manifests in this verbal stuttering and odd nonverbal communication those two are possibilities let's continue to watch throughout the rest of the interview to see where else there might be spikes of nonverbal communication that could alert us to possible deceit i don't know he had an appointment at two o'clock with an attorney that represented a wealthy new church member that was going to buy that mckellen collection give mark the money and kind of keep it for the church shannon would you stand up for a second please so we can still see a very active bass line that's what this little part in here is for even at his normal conversational tones it's very animated all the way around he's a very animated person when it comes to his body language and that will make it more difficult to catch things like micro expressions many expressions partial expressions expression groups so on and so forth it just makes it more complicated because there's already so much activity but now we're gonna switch to a different time here and this is much closer to the incidence of the docu-series itself so that we can see a younger shannon flynn addressing the media centered around this entire story now you are a close associate of of mark hoffman's and involved in some of his uh business dealings i have to ask looks off to the side it has a large lip compression this likely has negative connotations during this time i don't remember if that's true in the docu-series i don't know where this is in relation to the actual incidents and the information or anything around that but he does have a lip compression which is the biting back of negative emotions or wanting to be able to say something or express something he also looks away and this all indicates to me that there's some sort of negative connotation to being attributed to mark hoffman in any level thank you the same question i asked brent straight out are you involved in any way in the bombings in no way whatsoever flynn says he was with okay now i know just had to wait a little bit longer so this is afterwards so this makes sense why he would have those negative emotions either one he's guilty and he doesn't want to be attributed to mark hoffman or two he's not guilty doesn't want to be attributed to mark hoffman but when she asks are you involved in these bombings he has an interesting answer it's still also muddy i know that you're going to be a little frustrated by how muddy all of this is but frankly that's a lot of how nonverbal communication reading goes there's a lot of gray and you have to navigate that to be able to hopefully find some black or some white it's very difficult and it's very nuanced but he does say in no way whatsoever and that's a much larger broader expression for saying no i'm not and so my question is why did he choose that and the reason that he chose it is because he just doesn't want to be attributed to mark hoffman we don't know why he doesn't want to be but we know he doesn't want to be kaufman as late as 10 p.m that night before the bombings explain to me you were with him the night before the bombings was not you were not do you know there's a huge burst a huge positive spike in his nonverbal baseline he starts having some odd respiratory patterns he starts moving his hands in a self-soothing gesture on the arms of the chairs you can also see this same gesture on a person's legs they'll often do it it's a self-soothing nervous gesture he also has some facial tics in there as well that if we were to see just that it would be red as contempt not sure it can be read as that in his context but regardless compared to his baseline earlier that we established this is a massive massive spike this is a huge red flag and i would have to ask more questions because his nonverbal answer is very suspicious it's extremely suspicious to say the least why that is i don't know but it is suspicious and it deserves more questioning mark was doing the night before the volumes when was the last time you saw mark prior to the bombings well my mind's very thin but okay so a lot of facial processing and action going on here he has the lip licking he has eye darting he has eye blocking he even flashes this little look of suspicion or contempt or anger something in that group of emotions at the interviewer himself when asked this question he's angry he's frustrated and he's nervous about being asked this question and that could make sense if he is innocent because he would be frustrated by being asked this question but also going into this you would have to expect the question to come out so my question is then why is he taken aback so much to be offset so emotionally that he has this sort of display why is that the case if he's guilty this makes a lot more sense so those are the two questions that i'm wrestling with here let's keep watching the video it could have been during the daytime but a phone call or or see him but i don't know i'm sorry mr flynn this is not good this doesn't present well he has mouth covering gestures which can be an indicator of blocking out words that shouldn't be said quite literally preventing yourself from saying the wrong thing usually centered around lying not guaranteed he also has an odd respiratory pattern with more short breaths and this indicates nerves he also has nervous gestures that have a little bit more energy behind them than they have in the rest of his baseline and he continues having pretty substantial facial tics and eye blocking as well this is such a massive spike in such an important area that i'm having trouble believing shannon flynn here especially in his odd recollection of being like well my mind is not as good as it used to be so it could have been a phone call or maybe something like that but i definitely don't think that it could really be in person maybe it really falls apart even verbally and my question is why why are you falling apart so severely here and you know the two reasons that it could be so i'm still just trying to unearth what is the more likely truth in this situation so that's possible sure um do you have any idea who so many picks and it's possible sure no shannon from what i've seen it's likely it's not just possible it's likely the most possible that's where i'm at so far with it let's see what the rest of this little interview segment has who is involved are mormon documents in the middle of it personally i don't think so i think this is an exercise in you in futility upon the part of the law enforcement community they'll spend a large amount of time investigating an interesting subject okay so we can see actually some of his non-verbal facial picks that he has now back then as well not as prevalently but they're still there you can see them popping up on the side of his face along with that you can hear the nervous pattern of his respiratory system again as he's taking nervous shallow breaths rather than confident ones this is an important question i get why i'd be nervous but it's still causing some issues with me in regards to now the context of him having the same patterns now there's a lot of separation but i still just have questions i don't have an answer but one that i don't think necessarily has anything to do with the murders do you have any idea who who is involved in the bombings um behind it well if i did i'd be the first one to tell i have no idea that was a really interesting response the answer would be no but he does sound like he's really trying to convince us and this doesn't necessarily help his case in this instance the overcompensation can still serve as a red flag it's not enough for me to go down that path for certain yet though so i'm still just adding more and more information before i form my opinion which i will let you know at the end of the video i was trying to convince them that i didn't do anything at that time i was working with mark full time for a living i always carried a briefcase in those days because when he was dealing the amounts were in 185 thousand dollars 330 000. we're talking big and especially for 1985 big numbers mark had purchased a toyota mr2 he wanted to go fast in that car and push that thing as fast as they would go and in those days i had so during this time that he's recollecting his activities with mark he has genuine happiness in his eyes you can see that through a little as you might refer to it as sparkle in his eyes and that's commonly caused by the setting of the eyelids and the muscles around the eyes which express happiness but you see it as a sparkle so on and so forth that being said he seems to genuinely have happiness centered around the story of him and mark doing whatever they used to do in their business that's interesting to me he still has fond memories of mark a real interest in firearms mark gave me the money to purchase and boozy that bucker fired full auto we do utah boys that's as dangerous as we've ever been in our lives and the police questioned me quite closely on this lifestyle i didn't realize i should have said the moment i walked in that door i want an attorney i'm kind of surprised you didn't ask that to begin with what with the police questioning you centered around things like fully automatic weapons so on and so forth illegal things i would have considered that earlier on but he also didn't know what all was in store to be fair but once again all of this is characterized by this fondness of recollection it's also genuine recollection as he's looking off to the side his eyes are narrowing and this is an expression of genuine recollection so again he's recollecting genuinely it's authentic he has no reason to lie here and the most convincing wise are sprinkled in with a lot of truth so that makes sense as well he fondly remembers mark and he fondly remembers the activities that they used to do it's very interesting to me let's keep watching the number one news item they said what do you know about this book and i said well i mean i've read it so he's doing some more self-soothing gestures but it's later on here in the interview so he's been able to settle in so it's not as likely that it's the nerves that everybody has settling into an interview he could still be nervous just in regards to the interview regardless we do know that he is nervous here self-soothing gestures are born out of nerves so he's nervous why he's nervous can't really say but he also has his odd facial tick sprinkled in there as well which is also an indicator of agitation for him emotional and psychological agitation plays out in shannon flynn in the form of increases in his baseline spikes in it we haven't seen very many subdued or negative spikes in his baseline so far they've all been positive spikes which like i said can still be more difficult to read but at least we're getting an understanding as we continue on really rang the alarm bells and that police department that night they got the chief of police bud willoughby out of bed because they just found jack the ripper pretty early on in the investigation still has actual happiness on his face sure it could be sarcastic but on another level it feels like he's proud of that that he's proud of the name that they had it was cool to him perhaps it was an adventure and people also mention in this that shannon flynn had the feeling about him of wanting to be somebody that he wasn't and one of the prosecutors here described him as somebody who wasn't a james bond but wanted to be and mark hoffman opened that door for him this still seems to be true he still seems to revel in this lifestyle that he carried out at the time i don't know where he is or what he's doing now like i said this is a very limited read but he does still seem to appreciate everything that that lifestyle was and all of his interactions with mark as well my attorney suggested that i take a lighting test and it's on a zero center scale if you score somewhere in the middle it's kind of we can't tell by the time you get to a minus six and up definitely untruthful plus six and up definitely truthful i scored a plus 12. market told him that it was in okay so that's interesting polygraphs have their flaws obviously but the fact that he passed it that well if he's being honest it's a little hard to tell not only because the footage cuts in the middle but because we don't have enough really to work off of to see fool the seat but if he scored that well on it the likelihood is is that he was telling the truth now that's not always true especially in the case if you watch the docu-series of mark hoffman who also passed the test because he knew how to pass the test i don't see that in shannon but that doesn't disqualify the massive nonverbal spike that we saw centered around going and seeing mark hoffman the night before or being involved in the bombings in any way that is not discredited yet we still have to ask why was that there there's still something that caused his mind to have to go into overdrive like that and represent so in his nonverbal communication why is my question and i'll talk about it kind of at the end of this video possible for him to get drunk no that just that is not humanly possible okay i'm gonna have a double vodka he'd pound that thing down double whiskey another one and i want to mention i did no drinking just watched that's not true okay so here's an interesting thing he's talking about mark once again flashing some of these actual happy affectionate expressions across his face but this is important to note when he says i did no drinking it's an obvious lie even later on in the docu-series maybe even here in a couple seconds he talks about how that was the lifestyle they lived they went and they drank a bunch so on and so forth blah blah blah but he says an obvious lie and some of those tells those nonverbal tells even in the obvious lie still exist he still does the rubbing of his hands on the arms of the chair he has his nervous tic expressed across his face and he also puts distance between himself and the interviewer and camera these all exist in the obvious lie that we know is a lie so when they show up in that earlier one that earlier massive spike my question is oh why are these tells centered around this lie that we know is a lie showing up in another time where you say it's not it's a really interesting question and it's a really important question to ask and this is the process of nonverbal communication reading where we weren't as certain about this being a lie before now we're more certain now i'm being pushed down the direction of this massive spike earlier in the interview being an indicator of deceit let's keep watching anyway within an hour 15 16 doubles street meets justin sure said say you're drunk and he said no i'm not so he said stand up mark did he said walk around this table no wobble no waiver nothing now the back end of that story is we finally went up to our room he went in the bathroom and just puked himself great [Music] this is coming from a person who never drank he grew up mormon this was not normal so mark lived this lifestyle gotta we'll do some business flash and dash and we'll drink our heads off drink our heads off he's not even comfortable saying it he knows that he shouldn't be according to his religion but he's showing and telling here that he did he did indeed drink this hammers home that concept the earlier burst closer to the beginning of this interview was very likely to be an indicator of deceit shannon flynn saw mark hoffman the night before i'm almost certain of that let's keep watching and then we'll sober up and go home back to the regular mormon life sorry i got a dredge up gotta george up this crap again [Music] okay so just commenting on his state as he's processing it it's hard to see his face because it's at an angle and also he's not conversing but you can see that he's unhappy and this is easy to fake an unhappy expression like this but if he is actually unhappy then that misaligns with the earlier spike of him not having something to do with the bombs unless it wasn't something to do with the bombs on that night perhaps he went and saw mark hoffman that night but it wasn't in relation to the bombs i'm not sure these are just the possibilities that i have to weigh through as we continue forward commit those crimes and not only did he make me a party in committing those crimes and used me in order to perpetrate crimes on other people after the fact he continuously lied to me about all aspects and phases of those crimes so he keeps saying those crimes he's putting verbal distance between himself and the crimes those crimes not these crimes not the crimes those crimes this is a subconscious effort on many people's parts to literally separate themselves from various instances and this is not uncommon in deceit for people who are lying about something they likely don't want to be attributed to those things that they're lying about the most famous example of this is in relation to bill clinton when he says i did not have sexual relations with that woman it's the same verbal distancing this doesn't clear shannon this if anything is adding more and more to the incrimination bucket of him being somewhat involved with mark and the crimes that he committed let's find out if that's true it's easy for people to nowadays to say well couldn't you see that what's the matter with you well you know hindsight's always 20 20. and in the moment i didn't mixed gestures there with his hands one is pushing away the other one is open that makes sense he's defensive but he's trying to be honest and hindsight is always 20 20. no duh but let's see what his answer is suspect because i didn't want to just have to be honest about it i didn't want to many people don't want to accept that they might be a part of something that's not good they don't like to find out that they might be part of the problem it's very uncomfortable so they will willingly ignore any evidence of that that could be true it could also be true that he didn't want to see it for other reasons regardless what he said there makes sense in his nonverbal communication was synchronized with what he was saying he didn't want to know this is adding so many interesting dynamics mark said something that will give everyone pause because essentially he said if something seems to be true and becomes accepted as true it becomes true [Music] does that mean we're all living lies steve christensen had been put in charge from someone in the lds church because he was going to go with mark and get the mcclellan collection out of the safe deposit box mark knew there was nothing in there i took out my oil at consecrated oil that i usually carry with me and i commanded him to live and that proper medical help would get to him quickly which he did you commanded him to live i commanded him to live the poor man didn't know he didn't know he was given a blessing to say this is a really interesting area of the interview to me not many people brought it up to me nobody brought it up to me but when i was watching it it struck me as interesting for those of you who don't know what the story is here mark is badly injured and one of the mormons comes up with some religious oil and gives him a blessing and commands him to live so on and so forth shannon's recollecting that and listening to that and now he says he didn't know that he was more or less commanding satan to live and he still has this look of joy of fondness affection something related around that in talking about mark even now that it's come out that mark is a terrible person for what he has done and he still has this expression i'm very curious as to why that is so far we could see that he's he's emotionally upset he's emotionally turbulent around it he's crying it's not common for people to cry on interviews at the drop of a hat didn't see it anywhere else but he is now so it's likely a genuine emotion but then it's mixed in with this other seemingly genuine emotion and those two emotions are weird what could cause somebody to still look back and talk about an instance a very dark instance with at least happiness while also having intense negative emotions could be nerves could be a reaction to trauma that's unique to shannon flynn and maybe a few others it could be those things these are questions that you just have to ask let's talk about that at the end of the video but it wasn't his fault he was doing what he was doing the right thing as far as he knew he had no idea was safe lying there has a higher pitch in his voice this is also an indicator of emotion because it doesn't sound like a lying tone so to speak when a person's tone becomes strained because of stress it sounds different than this this is an emotional raising of the voice you can tell that he has a knot in his throat he's trying not to cry this is all indicating to me that he is feeling genuine negative emotion in regards to this and he's also flashing genuine positive emotion expressions interesting dynamic his dad heard it from his son's mouth i can't [Music] i can't imagine what that would be like to stand there and know that your son murdered two people in a horrible way as cruel and as callous as it could be putting those nails in that pipe bomb for steve christensen it's awful it's awful what do you do this is all genuine he's feeling genuine pain genuine anger genuine frustration probably genuine betrayal regardless we can see these expressions on his face and they're synchronized with his words which lends me to believe that he's being authentic he's really upset about what mark did but that doesn't change that he still has this fondness and recollection centered around him and the actions that he did and their actions together still a very interesting dynamic that's why i say the rest of his life you stay in prison notice that he uses his finger this time the rest of his life this is an authoritative gesture he's trying to put more nonverbal emphasis behind this so the rest of his life everywhere else he's used this the rest of blah blah so on and so forth this has always been his go-to but now it's this he really does mean this this is a non-verbal accenter that really does indicate that he thinks that mark deserves to be in prison for the rest of his life so we're still asking if you feel this strongly about it why do you also have this much fondness in your recollection of everything centered around mark he will never atone for those sins never just explain that he was very good at what he did possibly the best ever can i ask a favor don't make me answer that don't make me answer that lip compression mixed with contempt makes sense especially if he just doesn't want to talk about it and then also in his answer it kind of lends towards the contempt side of things as well let somebody else do it i want to make a hero out of him because he was fantastic no one has come close to doing what he has done so he leans forward and he's gesturing and this is a passionate speech from him talking about mark talking about mark not in a negative light but in an exonerated light interesting it's very interesting let's talk about all of this in just a second here there's only a small blip of this left the depth of knowledge and understanding and his autodidactic ability is unprecedented his ability to deceive unparalleled i should have suspected we all should have suspected we didn't people don't want to know all right and that there is the end that's the end of the little interview that we were able to find during this docu-series i went through the entire thing pulled out the segments to be able to see the interview of shannon flynn we saw a lot of interesting nonverbal communication during this time a lot of nonverbal activity and then there's that one portion that's extremely interesting earlier on where there's a massive spike centered around this idea of shannon flynn going and visiting mark hoffman the night before the bombings took place and he says that he was not involved in an earlier interview as we saw later in this video he also said that he was not involved with those crimes always distancing himself from that it's interesting and this is what we could say from pure nonverbal scientific observation this is the only part that i can get to be black and white is that he has negative emotions centered around mark he also has fondness centered around mark he might have lied about the night before the bombings but there is absolutely not nearly enough evidence especially in this short video to say that he was involved in it regardless something had to cause him to behave the way he did he has an adoration of mark he had an adoration of what he did what he accomplished the type of person he was the type of lifestyle he lived and the time that he spent with mark it's this affectionate adoration shannon flynn has never spoken on his and mark's relationship to each other he never talked about how close they were but from what we see here they seem to be quite close very close and he has obvious affection for mark this is all that we can for sure see everything from this point on is just my opinion it's just my opinion based off of what we see you're welcome to share yours in the comments as well because there can be multiple interpretations of this my interpretation is that shannon had a substantial fondness for mark many of you might say that mark was shannon's idol perhaps it could have been something more i don't know i don't have the evidence for it this is just an opinion and it makes sense in regards to what we observed if shannon had fondness for mark on any level be it from just companions to intimacy this makes sense the anger would be genuine real genuine anger hatred disgust pain betrayal so on and so forth would be present mixed in with actual fondness affection joy happiness and recollection of memories that makes sense this answer makes the most sense to me and that made him to where he didn't see the atrocities that mark was concocting because people are willingly blind in these sorts of situations and it makes sense as to the emotions that he's displaying now do i have any evidence for this no this is all just conjecture it's all based off of this small amount of nonverbal information that we have so let me know your opinion in the comments below were they just business partners was there something more was shannon involved in the bombings and he just fooled me let me know i'm always interested to see and it does lead to some pretty good discussions here and there if you did like this video consider
