Beat Ketheric Thorm Easily, Baldur's Gate 3, Act 2, Final Boss Fight, BG3

okay good day today I want to do a video to show the final combat the final fight in uh act two of balers gate against cathic Thor I wanted to show a quick and fast way of being able to beat this final challenge right so before we start just make sure you go to the uh there's a restorative Port here and you want to quickly heal up all your members get all your spells back before you start the final fight itself all right okay here we go so now this final fight um I I had three terrible runs the first time I tackled this because I not quite sure what the situation was who was the deadlier challenge who to take out first y y y so upon reading and doing some research on how people tackled this particular final uh combat in act two I tried it and actually it turned out to be a lot easier than I expected as long as you follow a certain procedure to the fight which I'm going to give a very quick walk through now okay so you want to go through all these cut scenes very quickly and then proceed to the actual combat itself now um I I have to reload another safe because as you can see one of my characters wandered into the raid Zone and uh broke the the hidden status that I supposed to be in anyway I'm trying to redo it again so restarting um you want to get a character that is able to teleport either dimension door or Misty step uh to take out the Mind flare first so in this case Shadow heart uh the character that I use was able to cast dimension door and I want to bring her together with my most potent fighter LA lazel or however you pronounce the name like Ganky [ __ ] right so I want to teleport them right beside the Mind flare that will prompt the cut scene for the combat to begin so I'm just going to skip very quickly through all this all right and then uh I want to start the attack on the M flare now since I have the initiative and I'm able to have the first blow I want Theon key fighter right to um land all her most potent skills the one that do the most damage in quick succession so in this case I have four stripes on her and I think I'm fortunate enough to actually be able to take her out take out the M flare in just one round and this is actually pivotal for the fortunes of the rest of this combat because if the Mind flarer survives right then that is uh he's going to cause a lot of trouble it's going to do a lot of damage if you choose to free the Night song before the Mind flare dies the M flare has the ability to dominate The Night song and then the Night song end out to be on the enemy side and took out all my party members the ones that were meant to free her so that was why I suffered really badly the first couple of times that I play this game the key is to get rid of the Mind flare and then I'm lucky enough to still have enough round for my ganki to um teleport to the where the Night song is so I'm able to free her in the next round so this this is quite fortunate if you end up having good fortune like this do a quick safe so that you do not have to reload from the start again and after that I want to Focus the rest of my attacks on Isobel because before Fring the Night song There is no point in um actually attacking Krick Tom himself he's invulnerable at this point okay so now the rest of the mobs there are two of them there are couple of brain devourers on the right and there are some of these necrit on the left they are a little bit annoying if they are allowed to survive so do not allow it to faster get rid of them quick they are very easy to kill so in order to do that my strategy is to use my sorcerer or anybody who has some kind of AOE spell to get rid of these two mobs okay okay in this case I am going to be using my sorcerer and uh using a fireball to get rid of to get rid of the necrom mites and so as you can see I position the Sorcerer And my rogue aceron and my main character separately from the rest of the crew because they are targeting different enemies at the same time so the n one will do her thing she'll probably fly to where Krick Tom is um let my ganki take care of the remaining brain devourers wherever she is and my cleric can actually just shoot spells from her far just try to make herself useful so she don't waste her around okay very quickly you can see I let the Night song do most of the up close fighting the melee fighting I let my four party members stay at the distance because firstly I want to preserve that more powerful skills for the next stage right taking out catrick Tom in his current phase I thought was the end but no he will transform so I want to preserve some of my more powerful skills and I want to preserve the HP of all my four party characters so basically I'm just shooting at him from far and let the Night song do most of the damage and in this case um things turn out pretty well for me I was able to get rid of Kendrick Tom reduce his HP to about one and then you'll start to see his transformation so this is the cut scene which I'm going to fast forward okay now once um he becomes an apostle for the Lord of death right he become this like bone colossal form which looks pretty intimidating but actually it's not he's not that difficult to clear the only thing is his HP starts um right back to the start so he have he has quite a lot of HP yet again and this you need to approach this final hurdle with your four characters with almost full HP I will get my cleric uh my Rog as well as the ganki warrior up close to do uh melee fighting where they can do the most damage right my sster she is kind of a glass Cannon so I'm just going to fire Fireballs from far or magic missiles when I run out of Fireball and essentially you allow this grind to carry down the Night song will awaken and the Night song will also help you in the combat right and it's just a matter of time that you can grind out and basically out survive the bone lot as you can see over here I have plenty of hard heating skills left in each of my characters because I didn't waste them earlier on the mobs or I didn't waste them on um some of the other on on Isobel or canri okay so yeah easy peasy right right so this combat itself took me about like less than 5 minutes to get rid of the bone Apostle and there are a lot of cool rewards at the end of the battle right I just want to add a point that uh if you can try to use up your AOE at the start of the battle um because if you apply the AOE on the main platform where the main antagonist is your AOE will actually do damage to your own comrades as well which is something that you do not want to do so use your AOE on the mobs when they are far away and then reserve your single Target spells for the main antagonist whoever that is kendri Isobel or um the Lord of death in the final stage right so I hope you find this video and this approach useful this is a quick one to show you how to clear act to really really quickly yep it's a very nice battle I enjoyed it a lot and I love to replay again and again to see different possibilities all right that's all for me take care me
