That song & dance routine was borderline experimental.
Bulldozer powerup is playing the Ghostbusters music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVYnUE04ZsA
All the powerups remind me of the dumbest megaman enemies.
Truly a baffling game. Bizarre useless powerups, painfully easy boss battles, weird dance sequences. I'm not sure what they were going for or if it's just a game for babies
The funny thing is Dunkey didn’t even show a fraction of all the bafflingly bad and weird design choices in this game. The whole thing is really fascinating from a game design standpoint tbh.
this game cost 60 dollars

whats with the 480p max?
A platformer where jumping is considered a special skill. Someone must been smoking some heavy shit to think that was a good idea.
I feel a great deal of sympathy for Yuji Naka. This was supposed to be his "return to glory" and it turned out to be a simply abysmal game that I haven't seen a single person defend. I say this as someone who was excited for this game upon its announcement.
I'm reminded of this moment from The Simpsons.
I hope he's fine financially, he really should be with the career success he's had, this game doesn't have any greedy or unethical practices so it's hard to criticize it for anything like that, but that just makes this sadder. Yuji Naka seems to have a very strong and sincere passion for making excellent games. He just can't do it. I could imagine that driving someone insane.
It's hard to say "poor guy" since, again, he's probably fine in a life sense, but I don't think being a millionaire would be able to offset the frustration at a career's worth of experience yielding you absolutely no skill or talent in a field you care about. God that's gotta be maddening.
