yo guys what is up it's teach here coming at you again with another adventure over on Ark survival ascended and this is a quick video to show you how to make your game look half decent now you can see that the water looks amazing I've got everything on high because my graphics card is pretty good um but there's a lot of things that you can do to make the game run smoother do all that kind of stuff and I'm going to show you right now kind of using a settings update I'm going to go away from that really annoying sound over there but uh you can see that there's all kinds of cool things my game is not taking any time to load and my camera seems to be running pretty well I'm going to show you how to do all of this so what we're going to do is we're going to go and hit escape and go into your settings tab now it's totally rewired from what it used to be audio you can do whatever you want with this I have a tendency to turn my I reset it all um but I have a tendency to turn my master volume down to like 80 because that's what I like to do because it's otherwise I'm going to go deaf in my personal opinion now this is where it gets important though the video tab right find the resolution that works for you if you have a wide screen use the wider one if you're just running on a generic screen 1920 x 1080 is what you want to do I would highly recommend running Windows full screen mode but that's up to you uh Graphics preset I have mine on custom but you need to figure out what's best for your system right I run on Epic settings pretty much across the board now the reason I do that is because I have a 390 ti so it's a pretty beefy card if you need to run on Lower just change that to the low settings and then most of these you kind of keep on Epic none of these are going to have a major effect on your stuff um if you're playing PVP most people like to make it ugly as possible so it runs smoother so set it all to low but I like mine to look as pretty as possible so I leave that over there now you can do that but if you want to change a few things to make it easier on your computer what I would drop is I would probably drop your general Shadows the illumination and then the effects quality and then foliage those last four things I would drop those and if you drop those it's going to really increase your overall value that you're getting next thing this is automatically checked in game turn that off you want the the maximum frames that your computer can give you or your gaming console can give you then immediately turn off motion blur motion blur sucks turn off light Bloom turn off light shafts these are very expensive on your processing power and they're not really that great like you get a little bit of fun from it but there's nothing special about it so I hate light Bloom because it makes everything super shiny and you can't see a fraking thing light shafts are cool but not necessary um most of this stuff is pretty nice I like the foliage and fluid interaction it looks really pretty but if you turn it off it's going to save your uh computer processing power quite a bit so I leave it on for prettiness but if you want to turn it off that's an option you can leave off and then again I leave the footstep particles on and decals because of that reason I like how it looks right if you turn that off it's going to make your everything run a little bit smoother if you have a lower-end system now this right here Ray tracing uh basically Turn on dlss there's no reason not to have it on and then you can see super resolution you can choose specifically what you want to go for there's balanced performance quality it depends on what you want right I like quality a lot so I run mine on quality that's up to you how you want to run it though you can do whatever you need to that's it now the UI this is really custom I like customizing my crosshairs and stuff like that I might making a little bit bigger and then green so I can see it easier and then red for when it's a hit marker so you can customize these to whatever colors you want but green and red work better for me to do what you need it does not really change anything other than the size of the cursor is not like a really big Advantage okay you can turn this on this is a cool feature the minimal floating name setting this is a fun one to turn on just so you know it basically just makes it so it's it's a little you know how sometimes people's names are massive and it's just this giant words over them you don't need that so leave it on and then I like to leave all of this on right here because it gives you additional information and with the new game you know I mean you can turn this off later but for example the item names uh status notifications hit markers chat box floating names all that kind of stuff I leave that on in order to show me what is actually going on I turned this one off no tool tip delay because I want to see when I hover over something what's actually going on now you can see crosshairs menu transition musics I turn this off because I don't know if you've ever been deafened by the actual music of Arc yeah turn that off right right off the bat that should be one of the first things now next things right now you can see these are the defaults I leave these all on default um the display multi-use text I leave that on uh structure placement Crosshair you can turn this on I don't it doesn't matter to me it does I don't know doesn't major difference uh floating player names I leave that off because I want to be able to see that just in case you know something's going on I like Fahrenheit I know it's wrong but I I do I like it um you can hide your server info if you're a streamer or a YouTuber I don't I don't care if someone's going to find my stuff they're going to find my stuff trat bubbles on Virtual cursor doesn't matter all that much join notifications you have to turn these on separately but I leave them on to me it's something very useful and nice to have right now camera I leave my sensitivity the lower you can go on this and adjust your DPI settings on your mouse instead the better off you are I have mine at 10 I've gone as low as two um but so change your DPI lower this and it gives you overall control over your mouse a lot better for firstperson Shooters and all that kind of stuff uh camera view Bob you can turn this off it just means the camera is literally going to move up and down I don't like that now here's the next thing right do you want your camera to be mid tight or loose I like mine a little closer and more quick to respond so I use tight camera Dino camera mode I leave that on loose um that's just personal opinion the higher you can have your field of view the better I crank mine up to 100 I would turn off your camera Shake scale CU it's so frustrating just turn that off right make sure you click save otherwise it's not going to save a single freaking thing once it does save congratulations you got your generic ones now you're Advanced there's a few things I have vibration off this is more of controller based stuff right here right most of this uh disabled a menu music I have that turned on so you can't hear anything um but all of this for the most part this is kind of useful um you can underwater particle it helps you see where you're at and kind of moving a little better but that's about it uh blood visuals I leave on that's an important one uh you can leave default Survivor items on I haven't noticed any major things cuz it's got a separate tab um play action wheel click sounds these are all fine I don't mind that right now keyboard you need to custom this as you see fit but just so you know there's a lot of changes okay I'm not going to go over how I use it cuz I use a game pad but I will say that it's very important for you to look through and try and set these things the two keys that you want them to be otherwise it's going to cause you a lot of problems now gam pad is not this I use an actual like Gamepad in my left hand so once you save all of that that is pretty much the generic settings that help a ton and hopefully this is something that really it's one of those frustrating things that you have to do when you start up a game but it helps a ton to use all those settings that I just talked about make everything run smoother do all of that stuff now just so you can see I'll go back to the generic one you can see it looks so much better um and everything's a little bit quicker you can see that we got that no Bob going on so see how your character just Sprints and there's no like jumping up and down when you're moving around I think that's a super cool thing and it makes it so everything is super super nice so those are the settings that I use to make this game show up and look so much prettier and for me that's the important part cuz I don't care too much about my PVP experience I want to have fun in the game so if you don't mind smack that like button leave a comment below for the algorithm and then if you want to consider subbing to the channel I'm getting close to 100K and that's my goal that would be awesome so hopefully these settings help you out and other than that teach out [Music] baby
