Antique Truck Left to Rot!!! (Will It Start and Drive?)

welcome back welcome back today got another will it start video for you guys got this old International winch truck as you can see it's been sitting here for a minute hopefully today is the final day for that hopefully we can get it fired up and get it pulled out of here [Music] 's a little look at the inside it's got the key in there so that's always a bonus something's probably been living in here we'll get her cleaned out try to get this thing fired up all right guys so got a little bit cleaned up around I got some of these Pines cut out of the way some of those pine needles off so that we could get in here and work on it the other day when I was out here I pulled all six of the spark plugs out of it and then just poured some marble Mystery Oil down in each of the cylinders to go ahead and try to get them lubricated up and everything I'm pretty confident this thing ran when it was parked because it's still holding up this front end of this tractor here from the winch so my guess is they backed it in here to work on this thing and then just never got back to it so hopefully it's not locked up because it has been sitting for quite a while now so I'm gonna probably pull those spark plugs back out just in case there's any of that Mystery Oil still in there and then hook a fresh battery up and see if this thing will turn over all right I'll go ahead and swap these battery this battery out all right guys so it's not frozen up as you saw there which is awesome because I was kind of worried about that at first um so we're past that part I did even hear it building up air pressure whenever it was turning over like that you could hear the air leaking out so that's good um I guess I'm gonna just try to find out get some fuel going to it and see if we can't get this thing to fire up all right I got all the spark plugs back in as you can see that one there it was broken off when I pulled it out so I just got it in there plugging it back up um it obviously it won't be firing off but should be enough to start the truck up got my gas can rigged up so we got fresh gas going to it hopefully that mechanical fuel pump down there we'll start pulling that fuel in over to the carburetor over there and we'll get this thing to fire off all right so I don't want to burn up the starter trying to just keep cranking on it so what I did is I set my gas can up in here got some suction on it so that it'll siphon down to the mechanical fuel pump and then hopefully that mechanical fuel pump down there we'll go ahead and pump it up to the carburetor on the other side foreign looks like we got fuel over there to the fuel pump I'm gonna go ahead and crank on it hopefully it'll fill up that fuel bulb and fire up [Music] all right guys so as you can see they're not getting any spark um to the spark plugs so I've traced it back I'm getting power to the ignition coil here but there's it's not sending the power from the ignition coil to the distributor cap like it's supposed to be so I think we got a problem with the ignition coil here so I'm going to get that pulled out and do a couple more tests on it off of the truck but I think we're gonna have to get a new one of those put on there all right we got that new ignition coil put on there I just got it kind of setting in there now but as you'll see now I've got my test wire hooked up you see we're getting sparked now [Music] so I'm gonna get these plug wires hooked back up get this ignition coil in here the right way and we'll be ready to start cranking on this thing again all right so while I was at the uh auto parts store I went ahead and got all new spark plugs for it so I'm gonna go ahead and just swap those out real quick all right there we go all right so I moved my rigged up gas can over here to this side and just ran it straight into the carburetor um wasn't getting any fuel up there so I don't know if the mechanical fuel pump's going out or what but got that moved around so we're gonna see now if it won't fire off with that fuel running straight to the carb [Music] thank you all right guys so as you can see there I finally got sparked now had a couple of things going on inside here I'll try to get in there and show you guys but the first problem is on top of this cap that little tab right there on the old one was broken off um I have to order that part online so I just kind of makeshift made a new tab off of another cap and just got it screwed on there right now don't know how long that's going to last but then also once I pulled the points out to clean them I forgot to Gap it whenever I put it back in there so got that gapped and that tab on there and now we're getting spark so I think now we were getting fuel yesterday to the carburetor so I think now we're just ready to fire this thing off all right I gotta hook up my high-tech gas tank here and today brought me a primer Bowl because well I was tasting gas all night last night so I'm gonna just put this here in the middle and that will allow me to get a siphon going without drinking gas this is there we go we got gas safe much better all right we got spark we got fuel I think we got compression this should work [Music] foreign you can hear in here it was building air pressure so that's good um I did shut it off because I want to make sure that the radiator's got plenty of cooling in it I don't want it to get too hot but it also sounds like it's got an exhaust leak pretty bad so I have to look into that but I'm going to get some coolant to put in the radiator make trip number 876 to the parts store and well we're gonna see if we can drive this thing home [Music] all right so I got a little bit of a dilemma back here it was a winch truck and like I showed you at the beginning they used it to hoist up this front end of this tractor but if I can't get the winch to let that back down I'm not sure exactly I didn't bring a Jack or anything with me to support that down
