Neglected Army Truck. Will it run and drive?

[Music] so the engine for the dump truck was seized so i had to choose something else to get and this is a early 818 which is a semi tractor road tractor five ton okay bill billy chose this one for me so anyway uh problem was some vandals cut the battery cable so we're gonna change the battery cables and see if this one will roll over and we're running out of daylight so we're going to get to it uh here's pharaoh about to start his 8 18. uh he thinks he's in britain he's getting in on the wrong side steering wheel's on the other side adam oh there's a tree in the way it's a tree growing up through the truck he's resurrecting step back here get a better view of the truck all right here we go [Music] no such luck [Music] so i've gotten two hot batteries in it batteries i put in it yesterday from trying to start the dump truck um they were pretty well drained down i didn't think to bring a charger with me so if check the oil oil level's good in this one it did rock the engine did rock over yesterday with the batteries so i know that it's not stuck so i'm gonna see about see about cranking it over i have no idea how long it's been sitting here at least 10 years if not longer um luckily a tree came down and just barely tickled the top but it got a do two deuces and a couple of trailers so i hate that i had to give up on the dump truck because the dump truck would be more useful to me immediately but it is what it is so i'm going to set the camera up and crawl inside because i can't get through the driver's side i can only get through the passenger side and uh we'll see what happens ah well it does crank over so it's not locked up so i'm gonna clean the fuel system out it's still spinning kind of slow um so we'll see what happens i've taken the two battery batteries batteries batteries out of my pickup to put in here because the batteries i tried to turn it with yesterday didn't work it seemed like the dump truck engine was stuck too now i'm wondering if it was just the weak batteries so i've already changed the battery cable out on this so i'm gonna go ahead and try to see if this will uh turn all the way over i i have gotten it to turn over so um i checked all the fuel and everything so now we're gonna see if she'll crank okay so there's a fuel bypass i'll get to it knob right there and what that does is it pushes that solenoid in because the solenoid is actually your fuel shut off now this is an emergency shut off and you can pull that from the cab in case your electric shutoff won't shut down [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign so um [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] me it runs finally cook long enough now we'll see if it moves i don't think it's charging though so we're gonna have to play with that [Music] so so my [Music] you
